Couples who wear leather together, stay together...

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been inseparable for quite some time now, but it would appear that their coordinating wardrobes are becoming increasingly more alike. The newlyweds recently stepped out in head-to-toe white just days after their wedding, and you can't really get more matchy-matchy than that.

It's no secret that Kanye has helped Kim's style evolve, so in honor of his 37th birthday, we've collected photos of Mr. and Mrs. Kanye West in coordinating ensembles. We can only wonder, are they sharing clothes at this point?

Sandra Bullock Wins Decade Of Hotness Award

On Saturday, June 7, Sandra Bullock was awarded the Decade of Hotness title at Spike TV's Guys' Choice Awards. Surrounded by past co-stars Hugh Grant, Keanu Reeves and Matthew McConaughey, she was handed a gold "Mantlers" trophy, which hopefully clashes with her home decor.

sandra bullock

"We've been courting Sandra so long for this award that she was eventually going to say yes or take out a restraining order," Casey Patterson, Executive Vice President of Viacom said in a release.

There's an entire dissertation to be written about what is wrong with "honoring" women for a decade of hotness, but to keep it simple: "Speed" came out in June of 1994, so Bullock has been hot for more than just that one decade. Also, let's not award people for hotness.

This year Rihanna was also recognized by Spike TV with the more ephemeral title of "Most Desirable Woman." Previous talented and successful females that have been given "Mantlers" for ten years of being good looking include Jennifer Aniston (2011), Charlize Theron (2010), Halle Berry (2009) and Cameron Diaz (2008).

Celebrate National Best Friends Day With The Greatest TV Friendships Of All Time

0
0
Where would we be without friendship? In honor of National Best Friends Day on June 8th, we've compiled a list of some of the best friendships on TV. From animated cavemen to Upper East Side socialites, here are 22 times TV got it right when it comes to one of life's greatest treasures.

Mary and Rhoda – "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"

the mary tyler moore show
Maybe you related to spunky and stylish Mary or saw yourself in the brutally-blunt Rhoda, but it was these ladies' friendship that really stole the show. Rhoda could always be counted on for tough love and Mary was always there to keep Rhoda positive about her luckless life.

Laverne and Shirley - "Laverne and Shirley"

laverne and shirley
Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated! "Laverne and Shirley" featured two women trying to make it in their Milwaukee town. We were sad when the show finally ended, but we’ll never forget that Yiddish hopscotch chant!

Miranda, Carrie, Samantha, and Charlotte - "Sex and the City"

sex and the city
"Sex and the City" had it all: the world’s greatest city, handsome guest stars, trend-setting costumes and plenty of, well, sex. The show became a hit on HBO and even spawned two movies, but the true reason it succeeded on TV came down to friendship. As Carrie would put it: "Maybe our girlfriends are our soul mates, and guys are just people to have fun with."

Blanche, Rose, Dorothy and Sophia - "The Golden Girls"

golden girls
Before Miranda, Carrie, Samantha and Charlotte there was Blanche, Rose, Dorothy and Sophia. "The Golden Girls" were the original foursome, with antics that came from a set of personalities as diverse as any pseudo-family on TV.

Captain Kirk and Spock - "Star Trek"

star trek
These two had a rocky start to their friendship. Kirk didn’t like Spock’s view of things and Spock thought the impulsive captain embodied everything wrong with the human condition. They had a tumultuous relationship and often challenged each other but as the seasons went on, both men came to have a deep respect and love for one another.

Meredith and Christina - "Grey's Anatomy"

greys anatomy
Everyone needs a person, and for Meredith Grey that person was Christina Yang. Meredith and Christina’s friendship spanned ten seasons and saw the women endure George’s death, divorce, hospital shootings, helicopter crashes and everything in between. The only thing that didn’t change on the show was the bond Meredith and Christina shared.

JD and Turk – "Scrubs"

scrubs
These guys loved to test the boundaries of male friendship with their excessive displays of PDA and generally adorable shenanigans. They represented everything that’s sickeningly sweet about relationships and taught us what true bromance is all about.

Monica, Phoebe and Rachel - "Friends"

friends
The female half of the famous sextuplet -- Monica, Rachel and Phoebe -- were everyone’s favorite girlfriends during the ‘90s. They dealt with crappy boyfriends and careers together. From inspiring hair trends to kissing brothers to advocating a hippie way of life, each of the girls had their own individual quirks but always managed to balance each other out.

Lucy and Ethel - "I Love Lucy"

i love lucy
The women of "I Love Lucy" were our first true example of female friendship. Ethel was everything a good gal pal should be: loyal, honest and willing to go along with Lucy’s latest train-wreck idea, while Lucy was the dreamer who gave Ethel the excitement she craved. Each woman completed the other and as a team, they were the true comedic stars of the show.

Michael and Dwight – "The Office"

the office
Fact: Dwight and Michael were the best male duo the offices at Dunder Mifflin have ever seen. The Regional Manager and the Assistant (To The) Regional Manager ran their motley crew of paper-pushing employees with a firm hand and ridiculous philosophies. Sure, they had their rough patches, but they garnered the most laughs out of any of the characters on the show. (Take that, Jim Halpert.)

Cory and Shawn – "Boy Meets World"

boy meets world
Cory and Topanga weren't the soul mates on this show. We loved Topanga, but no one really completed Cory like his childhood best friend Shawn. They dealt with girl troubles, high school English classes, and the Stuart Minkuses of the world.

Nick and Schmidt – "New Girl"

new girl
If you don’t think Nick Miller and his douche-jar filling pal are the best example of true bros, you don’t know Schmidt. The guys from "New Girl" met in college, one an apathetic stoner kid, the other an overweight nerd. They’ve changed a lot over the years -- Schmidt dropped the baby weight, became a ladies man and landed a job at an advertising firm, while Nick got a haircut) -- but they always remained friends.

Veronica and Wallace – "Veronica Mars"

veronica mars
Wallace was the good-natured Watson to Veronica Mars’ Sherlock Holmes. They met when Veronica cut him down from a flagpole he’d been tied to in the first episode, and stayed friends on account of Wallace’s willingness to go along with his trouble-magnet of a friend as she solved murder cases.

Jerry and George - "Seinfeld"

seinfeld
Jerry and George were everyone’s favorite comedic duo in the ‘90s. George was the bald guy with a sense of self-loathing. Jerry was the eternally optimistic stand-up comedian. They met in high school and remained friends throughout their adult lives, despite George’s fondness for referring himself in the third person.

Seth and Ryan - "The O.C."

the oc
It’s "Lady and The Tramp" all over again with this Orange County bromance. Ryan was the rough kid from the wrong side of the tracks and Seth was the rich kid who preferred comic books to high school parties. The guys were from different worlds, but shared a common bond of brotherhood. They showed us that sometimes your friends are your family.

Fred and Barney - "The Flintstones"

the flinstones
Even cavemen need a best friend. Fred was the family man who dreamed of more and Barney was his do-gooder counterpart, always there for support. From dealing with prehistoric dinosaurs to working in the rock quarry to sharing their love for bowling, this animated duo showed us friendship existed even in the stone age.

Blair and Serena - "Gossip Girl"

gossip girl
This Upper East Side duo gave us a hard look at what high school friendships are all about: chauffeured limo rides, private schools, designer clothes and plenty of gossip. Ok, so it wasn't realistic, nothing on the show was, but that didn’t stop us from loving it. XoXo.

Rory and Lorelai - "Gilmore Girls"

gilmore girls
Okay, technically they were mother and daughter on the show, but Rory and Lorelai’s relationship on "Gilmore Girls" still counts as a best friendship. They shared everything together, including innumerable calories.

Joey and Dawson - "Dawson's Creek"

dawsons creek
These two were once love interests but always friends on "Dawson’s Creek." They fell into the trap of becoming more than friends, but after Joey ultimately chose Pacey as her one true love, the pair renewed the hope of a generation by remaining good pals.

Joey and Chandler - "Friends"

friends
Joey and Chandler were the real old married couple on "Friends" (sorry, Monica). The boys roomed together in earlier episodes. Their friendship didn’t start off too well, but eventually bonded over their shared love of beer and "Baywatch."

Tina and Amy - "Saturday Night Live"

snl
We couldn’t have a best friendships on TV post without putting these two funny-women on the list. They might not play friends on the late night sketch comedy "SNL" but they are the best co-anchors to ever man the Weekend Update desk. The fact that the ladies are such good friends off-screen lent itself to their hilarious chemistry in front of the camera.

Karen and Jack - "Will And Grace"

will and grace
The show might have been named for its main characters, but the true stars of "Will & Grace" were Karen Walker and Jack McFarland. Karen and her “poodle” had each other (and vodka) to lean on through her failed marriages and Jack’s failed career choices.

13 Reasons A Bestie Is Irreplaceable, As Told Through Our Favorite Fictional BFFs

No one understands you like a best friend. Not your mom, not your sibling, not your spouse. A best friend will sit with you while you're crying, know when the truth is better than a white lie and even attempt to fight that ex of yours who broke your heart. In the wise words of author Kate Angell, “A good friend will come and bail you out of jail, but a best friend will be sitting next to you saying, 'Damn, that was fun.'"

In celebration of National Best Friend Day on June 8, we've put together some reasons having a BFF is so great using examples from the most loyal, passionate and downright fierce female friendships seen on screen. Here are 13 reasons a bestie is absolutely irreplaceable:

1. No matter how much trouble you're in, she'll always help you get out of it. (Or at least get away with it.)

Seth Rogen Slams The 'Stupid' Movie Ratings System

0
0
Seth Rogen made it very clear that he is not a fan of the "stupid" movie ratings system while speaking at the Produced By Conference on Saturday, June 7.

"[The ratings system] is so stupid why play that game?" Rogen said. "Why even enter a system that stupid?"

"There’s nothing more frustrating than being on set and coming up with a joke and being told you can’t do it because it’s a PG movie," Rogen continued. "It’s like boxing with your hands tied behind your back … because of some weird ratings structure."

We can expect that Rogen, and his longtime friend Evan Goldberg, will be sticking with R-rated in order to meet their comedy needs. Further discussing their creative process, the duo explained that despite similar senses of humor, there are times that they disagree. In such cases, they shoot the scene from each perspective and then compare reactions.

“The biggest thing is we test the shit out of the movies over and over again,” Rogen said. “If the joke isn’t funny we generally have another joke. We test the movie so much hopefully every joke works.”

In regards to upcoming films, they said "The Interview," starring Rogen and James Franco, is in final post-production. They are also working on a Christmas Eve film with director Jonathan Levine, developing an AMC series with "Breaking Bad" producer Sam Kaplan, in production on their first animated movie, "Sausage Party" and developing a movie called "Jazz Cops," a movie about cops attempting to infiltrate the jazz music scene in the 1950s, set to star Rogen and Kevin Hart.

'The Fault In Our Stars' Edges Tom Cruise At The Weekend Box Office With $48 Million

0
0
NEW YORK (AP) — In a box-office battle that pitted young against old, female against male, modest drama against big-budget spectacle, the teenage romance "The Fault in Our Stars" easily bested the time-shifting Tom Cruise action film "Edge of Tomorrow."

With a $48.2 million domestic debut, "The Fault in Our Stars" thumped the $29.1 million opening for "Edge of Tomorrow," according to studio estimates Sunday. It did so with a far less seasoned star in Shailene Woodley and a $12 million budget a fraction the size of that for "Edge of Tomorrow," made for approximately $175 million. The results offered a stark illustration of shifting box-office trends. Whereas big-budget, male-oriented action films with stars like Cruise have long ruled the day at North American multiplexes, those movies are increasingly under siege from films ignited by passionate young female moviegoers.

"The notion of what is traditional summer fare is changing," said Paul Dergarabedian, senior analyst for box-office tracker Rentrak. "Women and young girls are as vitally important to the box office in the summer as the young males, who Hollywood has courted and coveted for decades."

"The Fault in Our Stars," a highly-anticipated adaptation of John Green's best-selling book, was in some ways another example of the power of young-adult fiction. But unlike "Twilight" or "The Hunger Games," ''The Fault in Our Stars" isn't about sci-fi or fantasy, but is rather a more naturalistic drama about young love and cancer.

Twentieth Century Fox said that an overwhelming 82 percent of the audience for the film was female, an unusually large gender gap for such a popular movie. The majority of the audience eagerly turned out for Thursday night and Friday showings.

"We knew that we had an engaged fan base but we weren't sure of the depth of it," said Chris Aronson, Fox's distribution head. "We also knew we had formidable competition in the marketplace for similar if not identical demographics."

That competition — Disney's fairy tale "Maleficent," starring Angelina Jolie — slid to second place in its second week with $33.5 million. With a two-week global sum of $335.5 million, "Maleficent" has performed well, but it remains to be seen if it can be a real money-maker for Disney, which spent an estimated $180 million to make it, plus huge amounts to market it.

Warner Bros.' sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow," directed by Doug Liman and co-starring Emily Blunt, appealed more to males (61 percent of its audience) and moviegoers older than 25 (73 percent of its audience). The film about a U.S. major (Cruise) stuck in a "Groundhog Day"-like time loop during a battle against invading aliens won Cruise some of his best reviews in years, but — like the star's recent "Oblivion" and "Jack Reacher" — it didn't turn out moviegoers as expected.

"They're just two very different movies and the fact they're both on the same weekend, it's not one versus the other," said Jeff Goldstein, head of domestic distribution for Warner Bros., said referring to "The Fault in Our Stars." ''But there is something really special about a movie like 'Fault,' where an audience really rallied around it."

"For us, this is really about the long play," added Goldstein.

"Edge of Tomorrow" also showed that such films still have a lot of box-office muscle, it's only best flexed overseas. The film made $82 million internationally, making most of that in China, Korea and Russia.

Sony's comedy sequel "22 Jump Street," starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, kicked off abroad a week ahead of its North American release, earning $8.8 million. Next weekend, it will open alongside DreamWorks' "How to Train Your Dragon 2."

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Rentrak. Where available, latest international numbers are also included. Final domestic figures will be released on Monday.

1. "The Fault in Our Stars," $48.2 million ($17.1 million international).

2. "Maleficent," $33.5 million ($59.7 million international).

3. "Edge of Tomorrow," $29.1 million ($82 million international).

4. "X-Men: Days of Future Past," $14.7 million ($42.1 million international).

5. "A Million Ways to Die in the West," $7.2 million ($6.4 million international).

6. "Godzilla," $6 million ($5.4 million international).

7. "Neighbors," $5.2 million ($3.6 million international).

8. "Blended," $4.1 million.

9. "Chef," $2.6 million.

10. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," $1.9 million ($2.3 million international).

In the fallout of the Macaulay Culkin-Ryan Gosling inception, Nicolas Cage has returned to bless the Internet once again by wearing a shirt featuring the only person equal to his glory: Nicolas Cage.

Guns N' Roses Instagrammed a photo of the "One True God" from their show in Las Vegas on Saturday night, June 8, hanging out with Andrew Dice Clay (obviously). To top of the shirt, Cage is rocking a sweet cowboy hat and leather pants, whilst drinking from a goblet and using a cane, because why not. The band also posted a second picture of Cage joining them on stage for a final bow.

The day is officially over. We all can go home now.

'Drop Dead Fred' Star Rik Mayall Dead At Age 56

LONDON (AP) — Rik Mayall, one of a generation of performers that injected post-punk energy into British comedy, has died. He was 56.

Mayall's management firm Brunskill Management said the comedian died at his London home on Monday.

In the 1980s Mayall was part of the Comic Strip, a hugely influential group of alternative young comics that included Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders and Mayall's writing and performing partner, Adrian Edmondson.

He was best known for co-writing and performing in "The Young Ones," a sitcom about slovenly students that was much loved by those it satirized.

On television he memorably played Conservative politician Alan B'stard in the sitcom "The New Statesman" and lecherous Lord Flashheart in comedy classic "Blackadder."

He and Edmondson also created and starred in "Bottom," a surreally violent slapstick series about two unemployed slobs.

Film appearances included the title role in 1991 fantasy "Drop Dead Fred" — which gained him a U.S. cult following — and 1999 British comedy "Guest House Paradiso."

"There were times when Rik and I were writing together when we almost died laughing," Edmondson said. "They were some of the most carefree, stupid days I ever had, and I feel privileged to have shared them with him. And now he's died for real. Without me. Selfish bastard."

The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. London's Metropolitan Police force said officers had been called to the house by the ambulance service on Monday, but that the death was not believed to be suspicious.

In 1998 Mayall was on life support and in a coma for several days after an all-terrain vehicle accident.

"The main difference between now and before my accident is I'm just very glad to be alive," Mayall said last year.

"Other people get moody in their 40s and 50s — men get the male menopause. I missed the whole thing. I was just really happy."

Truck Driver In Tracy Morgan Crash Had Not Slept In 24 Hours: Complaint

NEW BRUNSWICK - A Georgia truck driver charged in the New Jersey crash that killed one man and critically injured comedian Tracy Morgan had not slept in more than 24 hours, according to a criminal complaint filed on Monday.

A tractor trailer driven by Kevin Roper, 35, of Jonesboro, Georgia, slammed into a limousine van carring Morgan, known for his television roles on "30 Rock" and "Saturday Night Live," and his associates early on Saturday.

Roper was operating a truck "on the New Jersey Turnpike without having slept in excess of 24 hours," according to the complained filed in Middlesex County Court.

The driver was due to appear in court on Wednesday to face a charge of vehicular homicide and three counts of assault by auto, court documents show.

Morgan and two passengers remained in critical condition two days after the crash.

Roper failed to see traffic slowing in front of him on the turnpike near Cranbury Township, slamming the limo bus carrying Morgan and several other comics and friends after a performance in Delaware, police said.

The impact flipped the Mercedes limo on its roof and caused a chain reaction crash involving four other vehicles.

Comic James McNair, 62, of Peekskill, New York, who performed under the name "Jimmy Mack," died at the scene, said New Jersey State Police spokesman Gregory Williams.

Morgan and three other passengers, comics Ardie Fuqua and Harris Stanton, and Morgan's assistant, Jeff Millea, were injured, Williams said.

Morgan suffered a broken leg, nose and ribs and has undergone surgery at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick, according to his spokesman, Lewis Kay.

Roper, a Wal-Mart employee who was driving a company truck at the time of the crash, has obtained a lawyer, the company said. Bill Simon, chief executive of Wal-Mart U.S. said they were cooperating with the investigation. (Writing by Victoria Cavaliere; Editing by Scott Malone, Doina Chiacu)

Gwyneth Paltrow Dines With Ex Chris Martin

Gwyneth Paltrow may have put out that super vague statement about divorcing Chris Martin -- or as we like to believe it, Chris Martin finally growing the cojones to leave her -- but basically everything that the former couple/couple has done since then is a big ol' contradiction to the institution of divorce, and sorry, but even the most amicable of splits don't look like this.

Neil Patrick Harris Performing At The Tony Awards 2014

Neil Patrick Harris stole the show during Sunday night's Tony Awards when he performed a rousing number from Hedwig and the Angry Inch with his castmates. While in full drag, Neil got provocative while singing "Sugar Daddy," climbing into the audience to lick Samuel L. Jackson's glasses, give Sting a lap dance, and collapse onto Kevin Bacon. In short, it really proved why NPH walked home with the award for best actor in a musical later that night.

Kris Jenner Tries Pole Dancing And Semi-Nude Photo Shoot To Keep Up With The Kardashians

Anything you can do I can do better, I can do anything better than you.

That might as well have been the title of the mid-season premiere of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" on Sunday, June 8, as Kris Jenner tried to do just that -- keep up -- which had her children begging the 58-year-old to "act her age."

"My mom invites herself to do stripper pole class. It was so embarrassing," lamented Kim as she and pals Larsa Pippen and Blac Chyna took in a class at Sheila Kelley S Factor. "I think she is so funny and amazing. But my mom literally copies everything I do. I posted this swimsuit picture and then mom posted a swimsuit picture right afterwards. I mean, I get it, but come on."

And if stripper pole mom embarrassed Kim, just imagine walking in on Jenner posing practically naked in her backyard swimming pool, wearing nothing but a completely transparent white tank dress.

Jenner's other daughters were less than impressed with their mother's antics.

"Why are your tits out? That’s so embarrassing for your life and for your soul," Kourtney said.

"Is your vagina out? You are so gross," said Khloe.

Jenner said she just wanted to show her daughters that "being 50 you don’t have to curl up and disappear, you can feel vibrant and sexy at any age." But later she told Kim they took the teasing too far. "I’m so sick of you guys making fun of me. It hurts my feelings," she said.

And so with every season of show, we understand a little more exactly why the Kardashians are the way they are.

Justin Bieber Reportedly Baptized By Hillsong Pastor Carl Lentz After Leaked Racist Comments

Justin Bieber was reportedly baptized last week by Hillsong Church pastor Carl Lentz in a low-key ceremony in New York City, according to celebrity gossip site TMZ.

Lentz told TMZ he spent a week doing Bible study with the young star after a video leaked allegedly showing Bieber telling a racist joke. The baptism took place several months after Bieber was reported to be searching for a private pool for the ceremony to take place.

Bieber first began his search in February after a photo emerged reportedly showing the singer with an adult dancer The singer apologized in June for his racist comments depicted in the leaked video -- which was recorded when he was 15 years old. Bieber, 20, said in a statement:

As a young man, I didn't understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt. I thought it was OK to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn't realize at the time that it wasn't funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance. I take my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake. I was a kid then and I am a man now who knows my responsibility to the world and to not make that mistake again.

After the incriminating video leaked, Hillsong pastor and longtime Bieber friend Carl Lentz tweeted:

Bieber has been vocal about his faith in the past. In a Christian rap video released in April Bieber spoke about God's forgiveness, saying, "God forgave everyone and they killed his son. That shows how much grace God has."

The Sports Illustrated model explained to People magazine that Legend brought Penny home from South Carolina on Sunday.

"She's a little tripod. She has been abused, and we are so excited to welcome her to the family," she said. "If dogs are the starters for babies, we should have three or four babies by now. I like to think of ourselves as working on babies all the time. And working on getting dogs all the time."

The couple shared some glamour shots of their new furry friend on Instagram.
