North West Scores More Expensive Gifts From Kimye's Designer Friends For Christmas

Christmas came early for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's six-month-old daughter North, whose closet just became even more enviable, thanks to the likes of designers like Hermès.

On Monday (Dec. 23) Kardashian took to her Instagram account to thank a few of her designer pals for some of the incredibly expensive Christmas gifts sent to six-month-old Nori.

Just as we predicted, North nabbed a pair of Hermès baby booties, and a cashmere baby blanket that retails for close to $800, from Michael Coste, who manages external relations for the brand.

North was also given an adorable pair of kitty shoes by designer Charlotte Olympia, which retail for about $320.

Stella McCartney also sent Kimye's only child a few outfits from her children's line, ensuring that North continues to give Jay and Bey's girl, Blue Ivy, a run for the title of most fashionable baby.

Lastly, Italian shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti sent little North two pairs of baby shoes that had Kardashian raving, "Thank you so much Giuseppe for the amazing shoes you made for North! WE LOVE YOU @giuseppezanottiworld."

That's quite the haul for a baby, and since North is already used to receiving the best of the best from the world's biggest designers, we can't wait to see what Santa brings her.

Jennifer Lawrence, Jack Nicholson Saga Continues With A Bottle Of Cristal

Perhaps you recall the delightful moment when Jennifer Lawrence freaked out about meeting Jack Nicholson for the first time.

Lawrence became visibly starstruck when the legendary actor interrupted her interview with George Stephanopoulos after she won the Oscar for Best Actress in February. During the adorable exchange, Nicholson complimented Lawrence on her performance in "Silver Linings Playbook" and remarked that she looked like an old girlfriend.

Well, it seems Lawrence and Nicholson's post-Oscar interaction didn't stop there. In an interview with ABC News, the 23-year-old actress revealed that though they haven't spoken since Oscar night, Nicholson did go out of his way to make their meeting even more memorable.

“He sent me some flowers and a bottle of Cristal and a note that said ‘Missing you already.' Not to brag," she revealed. "I should've probably kept that a secret so it could just be between me and Jack."

No word yet on whether the two will cross paths again backstage at this year's Academy Awards, but there's already plenty of buzz that Lawrence will likely nab a nomination for her role in "American Hustle," which has already earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Taylor Swift Shares Childhood Christmas Video On Instagram

Fresh off wrapping up her world tour, Taylor Swift has been keeping busy baking cookies, decorating her Christmas tree, and revisiting Christmas memories of yesteryear.

On Monday (Dec. 23), the 24-year-old shared a piece of her childhood on the Internet, posting a video of her four-year-old self chatting on the phone on Christmas day.

"Christmas 1993, on a very important phone call with Britany. @britmaack," Swift wrote along with the video.

In the clip, Swift doesn't seem particularly pleased to be receiving a phone call from her friend, whom she asks in a demanding tone, "What? Britney, what? What is it?"

Meanwhile, Swift revealed she also gets into the holiday spirit by listening to some of her favorite Christmas tunes.

"[There are] so many! Colbie Caillat has a great Christmas album I’m obsessed with. I love the She & Him Christmas stuff. Bing Crosby, of course. 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' by Mariah Carey. Beach Boys have great Christmas music," she told Entertainment Weekly when asked what her go-to song was to start the Christmas season off each year. "Train has this song called 'Shake Up Christmas.' I have so many favorite Christmas songs right now."

Zoe Saldana On Breast Implants: 'I Wouldn't Mind Buying Myself A Pair'

Zoe Saldana has one of the most enviable bodies in the biz, but that doesn't keep the 35-year-old actress from wanting more. In a remarkably candid interview with Lucky magazine, the actress -- who married Italian artist Marco Perego in September -- admits she is not against considering breast implants for the future.

"You always want what you can't have. My whole life I've been obsessed with breasts. I love them. I don't like fake things, but I wouldn't mind buying myself a pair before I die," she told the publication (via Just Jared).

Despite the breast implant comment, Zaldana made sure to point out that men shouldn't uphold an unrealistic image of women's bodies. "When I hear men say, 'I don't want droopy breasts,' I think I'm sorry, you're not really a man. A man likes a woman as she is. You know when you meet a real man from the way he talks about a woman. You just go, 'Wow, you're a man.'"

Has binge watching changed the way we live our lives? Netflix anthropologist (yes, that's real) Grant McCracken recently found that 61 percent of Netflix users binge on their shows and 73 percent feel positive about this kind of viewing.

HuffPostLive spoke with McCracken about how this form of TV watching has impacted our lives, and why users might choose to watch some of their favorite shows this way. "They're totally captive of the drama in question. They're right there emotionally. They're caught up. They're empathizing. They're participating. They're identifying. It's all the things we do with shows we like."

7 Celebrities The Obamas Should Have Over For Christmas Dinner

The Obamas aren't the only VIPs in Hawaii this holiday season. While the first family will probably lay low and enjoy family time together, we've assembled a potential guest list for their Christmas dinner -- just in case they want to spice things up a bit this year.

1. Steven Tyler
The musician retreats to Maui where he is known to jam out with the occasional fire dancer and where he advocated unsuccessfully for Hawaii's "Steven Tyler Act," a strict anti-paparazzi law. He and the president could bond over their legislative woes.

steven tyler

2. Roseanne Barr
The actress and comedian owns a home on the Big Island of Hawaii, where she manages her very vocal Twitter account. We imagine she'd have a few choice words for the president about GMO laws.

roseanne barr

3. Oprah
Okay, maybe the First Family would actually have to leave their "winter White House" to experience Oprah's 780-acre Maui property. Seriously, their paltry $25,000/week rental has nothing on Oprah's organic farm, luxurious farmhouse and utter seclusion.

4. Arianna Huffington
Our very own matriarch is on Hawaii's Big Island this Christmas. She could certainly provide the president with a few pointers on unplugging and recharging over the holidays.

arianna huffington

5. Jack Johnson
Two local boys, Jack and the president could compare their favorite shave ice spots or maybe Jack could teach Sasha and Malia how to play the ukelele.

6. Dog The Bounty Hunter
We have no idea what the president would actually talk about with Dog, but wouldn't that conversation be awesome?

7. Laird Hamilton & Gabby Reece
The athletic power couple lives on the island of Kauai where they blog about healthy living and fitness. Sounds like promising ambassadors for "Let's Move!" to us.

Christmas Songs Written For Movies

$

Most of the holiday tunes that have flooded radio stations, TV commercials and grocery-store speakers over the past month come with origins that date back for decades. It's hard to craft an original Christmas song that will stick the way Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" or Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" have, but a handful of holiday movies have attempted such a feat, with varying degrees of longevity. Here are some holiday-playlist staples (and one that was just too great not to mention) that hailed from movies and TV specials.

Bing Crosby -- "White Christmas" (written by Irving Berlin)
From "Holiday Inn" (1942)

Thurl Ravenscroft -- "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" (written by Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel)
From the animated special "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" (1966)

Faith Hill -- "Where Are You, Christmas?" (written by James Horner, Will Jennings and Mariah Carey)
From the movie "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (2000)

Judy Garland -- "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" (written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane)
From "Meet Me in St. Louis" (1944)

Danny Elfman -- "What's This?" (written by Danny Elfman)
From "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993)

Danny Elfman & Cast -- "Making Christmas" (written by Danny Elfman)
From "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993)

Josh Groban -- "Believe" (written by Glen Ballard and Alan Silvestri)
From "The Polar Express" (2004)

Vince Guaraldi Trio -- "Christmas Time Is Here" (written by Lee Mendelson and Vince Guaraldi)
From the TV special "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (1965)

John Williams, composer -- "Somewhere In My Memory" (lyrics by Leslie Bricusse)
From "Home Alone" (1990)

Billy Mack -- "Christmas Is All Around"*
From "Love Actually" (2003)
*It's technically a holiday cover of The Troggs' "Love Is All Around," but Billy Mack (played by Bill Nighy) is too original for us to not include this gem.

Eminem's Take On Christmas Is Exactly What You'd Expect From Eminem

Eminem would like to wish you a "Happy F--kin Holidays."

While many of us are getting into the holiday spirt by trimming the tree or listening to Christmas tunes, the rapper finds he's most festive when simulating sex with a large plastic reindeer, which is pretty much what you'd expect from Eminem.

The 41-year-old certainly has not lost his love of juvenile antics, as he shared a photo of himself in a Santa suit getting frisky with Rudolph's cousin on Monday (Dec. 23):

We'll give him points for at least making his Christmas photo Christmas-themed, unlike some other celebrities we know.

These Stylish Guys Were The Best Thing To Happen To 2013

We spend lots of time lusting after Hollywood's fashionable leading ladies, picking apart their red carpet gowns and off-duty clothes.

But don't think we've forgotten the men. This year, we developed more than a few celebrity crushes on a group of dudes with style game so tight, it puts ours to shame.

As we near the end of the year, here is an ode to the dapper men we fell in love with in 2013.

Andrew Garfield

andrew garfield

Sure, the Spiderman suit is cool. But Garfield's regular clothes, consisting of sporty jackets, baseball hats, cool kicks and skinny denim, are the real stuff of sartorial superheroes.

Will Smith

will smith

Will's tried almost every fashion trend in the book. But this year, at the ripe old age of 45, the Fresh Prince found his stride as a clean-cut yet laid-back dad, with simple silhouettes, pops of color and even some sneakers. Could your dad do that?

Prince Harry

prince harry

This prince has matured from headline-making partier into a professional royal. But he's maintained his boyish charm with a casual, carefree style sensibility that includes desert boots, low-slung pants and the occasional man jewelry.

Ryan Gosling

ryan gosling

Ryan's one of the only Hollywood men who can keep things interesting and exciting on the red carpet, showing up in velvet suits, saddle shoes and trousers so slim-cut they make our skinny jeans jealous. And when he's not posing for flashbulbs, he's got the most effortlessly cool everyday wardrobe, full of tough jackets, vintage tees and work boots roughened up just the right amount.

Bradley Cooper

bradley cooper

Maybe it's because we know he speaks French. But we always see Bradley as the smoothest of smooth operators, and he's got the slick wardrobe to match. It's Americana prep but with a glossy sheen and a sexy wink -- he may have a peacoat on, but it fits his body like a custom-fit glove.

Justin Timberlake

justin timberlake

Forget 2006 -- this was the year J.T. brought sexy back, courtesy of Tom Ford. Ford ushered in a new Timberlake era by getting the pop icon into a suit and tie and straightening those famous curls into a slick coif. Timberlake has never looked sexier.

Idris Elba

idris elba

Standing at 6' 3", Elba is a commanding presence who can pull off bolder styles, from spread collar shirts and playful beanies to colorful pants and even Toms. Oh, and he wears the heck out of a classic notch-lapel suit. Swoon.

Harry Styles

harry styles

The One Directioner's fashion sense might not be the reason he inspires blood-curdling screams from teenage girls, but it's what gets us excited. Like a young Jamie Hince, Harry somehow makes delicate scarves, the skinniest of jeans and even women's blouses look not only masculine, but sexy. These are rock star clothes for the next generation.

Justin Theroux

justin theroux

The timeless combination of motorcycle jackets, aviator sunglasses and tattoos can come off as cliche; but Justin Theroux makes it look like he's the one who invented the combo. Those impeccably groomed brows complete the package. Theroux is our shinier, Hollywood-approved, 21st-century James Dean.

Pharrell

pharrell

Just as he does with music, Pharrell likes to take a classic look, whether it be a tuxedo or cardigan, and twist it ever so slightly. The result? Something so original you've never seen anything like it. Get a load of this singer/songwriter/producer's cheeky outfits and be inspired.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt

jgl

He isn't slick or flashy, but that's why we love him. JGL's clothes speak volumes in understated tones, whether it's a slim-cut tweed suit or a basic sweater and jeans. For regular guys looking for fashionable dudes to emulate, Joseph's the most relatable icon out there.

Jamie Foxx

jamie foxx

No matter where he is or what he's doing, Jamie always looks like he's in his element. His clothing style is loudly confident but never brash -- any man at any age could learn from his bold shades and youthful zip-ups.

Eddie Redmayne

eddie redmayne

Now that Harry and William are taken, we're gunning for Eddie to be our British prince. With his natty slim-cut suits, chunky scarves and preppy coats, this actor is the picture of a modern English hunk.

Penn Badgley

penn badgley

Not unlike his "Gossip Girl" character, Penn is a hipster dreamboat from Brooklyn with the wardrobe to match. He doesn't mind a little chest hair poking out from those deep v-necks, nor does he mind getting some man jewelry tangled in it. And he certainly doesn't feel the need to wear a stuffy suit on the red carpet.

Zac Efron

zac efron

Efron's style might be described as one part frat boy, two parts Los Angeles hipster. The result? A trendy wardrobe full of beanies, v-necks and jeans... all carried off with swoon-worthy swagger.

Garret Hedlund

garrett hedlund

Kirsten Dunst's beau has the kind of effortlessly cool style that fits right in at a Saint Laurent show. His ties are skinny and his cardis are layered, but he doesn't take his hipster persona so seriously he can't also rock a backwards baseball cap.

David Beckham

david beckham

Sure, he can wear a suit like nobody's business. But this former footballer turned part-time underwear model earns kudos for being the only man on Earth who can make a newsboy cap look cool. Must be the tattoos...

Here are a few more we love...

FACE IT: We Need Subtlety in the New Year

Is it just me, or does everything and everyone seem over the top?

Maybe it was surviving three hours of Leonardo di Caprio's unceasing depiction of sex, drugs and profanity in his latest film. Maybe it was watching Miley Cyrus being celebrated by Barbara Walters. Kanya and Kim's every bump and grind?

As my wise psychologist friend Dr. Vivian Diller says, "People are asking what will get them noticed amid all the clutter out there." I certainly appreciate that in these fast-moving times, in which information is pouring out of every pore, it is hard to find your voice, let alone have it heard. This is true in our everyday lives, in which we are simply trying to get others to look up from their gadgets, as well as in the culture bombarding us with images.

In the world of books, not only is everyone over the age of 12 writing a memoir, but no one's life sounds interesting anymore if there wasn't at least abuse and alcohol in the home. On the stage (and now screen), August: Osage County tells the story of a family struggling with alcoholism and abuse, and adds drugs and incest for added pleasure. This is not meant to be a "they don't make them like they used to" lament, but watch or read a couple of Pinter plays and you will once again appreciate the seething emotions that can happen between the lines. Pausing is much missed.

I thought that again while watching the new play Domesticated, a Good Wife-like narrative at New York's Lincoln Center. Every point is repeated over and over, most having to do with the specific sex acts not being performed enough for one partner's satisfaction. Ten lines ago we got the point. Eventually, one can't shake the feeling of a dirty or frustrated man telling the tale.

One also feels that way, I am afraid, watching The Wolf of Wall Street. I revere Martin Scorsese's work, but it's hard not to feel embarrassed this time around. The details may be true -- and clearly, the main character did not live a subtle life -- but it doesn't mean every single one has to be shown. With excess eventually come not only disgust but pure exhaustion.

There is no doubt that doing away with subtlety is, if nothing else, a way to make impact. Getting noticed -- as well as radically altering her image -- was surely on Miley Cyrus' mind when she hit the stage with her infamous twerking performance. Though it reeked of desperation, it "tworked." The backlash lasted about 10 minutes, then the backlash to the backlash kicked in, and then she was on the cover of every magazine and on Barbara's Most Fascinating People list.

I have no idea how deep Miley goes, but I know for a fact that Beyonce is a class act. Yet, watching the 17 videos that go with her new album, I wondered why she too feels the need to repeatedly reveal every female part, ultimately eliciting more boredom than excitement. (Presumably young men would disagree.) She recently claimed that she is determined to follow Madonna's lead as a powerhouse. I'd like to think she meant as a constantly-reinventing creative machine, not as a woman who has to prove her sex appeal in increasingly explicit fashion.

In all this unsubtlety, there is clearly the attempt to reach through and matter. But just because you shock, it doesn't mean it has more emotional impact. In fact, I would say it has less. Josh Brolin putting his hand on Kate Winslet's shoulder in the new film Labor Day sets off more sparks than a naked di Caprio being titillated by a lit candle. (Note: I am not mentioning how a sheet between Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert's beds was sexier than a seven-minute lesbian sex scene now on screen.) Watching 70-year-old Mick Jagger do his thing in concert is simpler, yet more sensual, than watching Miley click that tongue or even Beyonce writhe in fast motion. One tattoo can be alluring while an NBA-style body of them becomes a blur.

Restraint is not only missed, it should be applauded when one finds it in unexpected places. For example, director Jason Reitman shows it in Labor Day. The Broadway revival (emphasis on revival) of No Man's Land, starring Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart, is a master class in not having to say it -- but getting the meaning loud and clear. Likewise, there is comfort in the fact that the 1965 novel Stoner by one John Williams is suddenly on many reading lists. Heralded as an unappreciated classic, it is packed with emotional resonance without one whip or overstated sentiment. This is the real 50 shades of gray.

I wish many things for the new year, but a return to subtlety would be at the top of the list. Leave us some ambiguity; don't hit us over the head; let your great music stand for itself; give us a moment to ponder.

From The 'Oprah Show' Vault: Nelson Mandela's Christmas Surprise (VIDEO)

$

In 2002, Oprah and her staff of volunteers traveled to South Africa to bring Christmas joy to 50,000 unsuspecting schoolchildren and orphans devastated by the AIDS epidemic. Many of those children walked miles -- in tattered shoes or no shoes at all -- to meet up with the staff. When the children arrived, Oprah said, their joy was contagious.

Believing they were there to simply attend "a party," the children smiled, danced and laughed with the volunteers -- and got their feet measured. Without explaining why, Oprah's volunteers measured the size of each child's feet so they could later be sent home with a brand new pair of shoes. It was a surprise to many, who didn't realize there would be any gifts at the event.

But that wasn't even the biggest surprise.

As a helicopter descended toward a field near the tents, Oprah's own excitement was noticeable. "There's our 'Wizard of Oz' moment," she said, watching the helicopter. "Here comes the Wizard!"

The helicopter doors opened and out stepped former South African President Nelson Mandela. "To the world, the people of South Africa and to me, he is a beloved and inspiring hero," Oprah said.

Watch the video above to see the crowd's reaction to Mandela's arrival and hear how the late revered leader makes Oprah feel connected to the country.

Justin Bieber Is 'Officially Retiring' But Will Be Here 'Forever'

Justin Bieber's Christmas gift to his fans? Some confusion.

On Christmas Eve, Bieber sent out three tweets to his nearly 48 million followers: the first announced his intent to retire, while the second and third contradicted the initial missive.

This isn't the first time Bieber has discussed plans to take an indefinite break. During a Dec. 17 interview with Power 106 in Los Angeles, the 19-year-old singer told host Big Boy that he was "actually retiring, man."

Bieber's comments were quickly shot down by both Gossip Cop and E! Online. "Of course it's not true," a source told E! about Bieber's retirement plans.

Despite those pronouncements, Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager, told Ryan Seacrest on Dec. 18 that a hiatus was in the pop star's future, at least following the Christmas Day release of "Justin Bieber's Believe," a new documentary about Bieber.

"I'm telling him after this movie, I want him to take next year off and just take a break and he can still live in the studio and work on the next album, which is what he wants to do, but I just want him to take some time to himself, so he can have that time alone because he's been working since he was 12 years old," Braun said.
