'Game Of Thrones' Butt Quiz!

$

"Game of Thrones" has always been big on nudity. While recent episodes have been lighter on the sexposition that plagued the first season, the show is still as enthusiastic as ever about nakedness: Last week was the show's most butt-exposing episode yet, for example. But there have been plenty of cheeks on "GoT." Enough, in fact, that it feels like we've seen everyone's bare ass at some point. But have we really? Take our quiz and prove you know your Seven Kingdoms from your elbow.

'London Is A B-tch'

"London is a bitch," says New York-to-Berlin rapper Thunderbird Gerard, who is making a heavy impression despite really starting to pick up attention in the United States. Zane Lowe allegedly called Gerard "simply dope," and if you watch his new video, you can see why.

The track bears the frank title "London Is a Bitch" and sees Gerard explaining why. "Look at all the lonely people, living in the shadows, living illegal," he raps over a beat that's at once heavy and 8-bit. "London is the bitchest mistress to have."

Equally as impressive -- or, at least, promising -- is Gerard's stage presence. Rocking a black tux and an old school-yet-fresh vibe, the rapper gets the crowd amped about a song that doesn't exactly drip happiness. It's good work, and you might as well keep your ears open for his upcoming mixtape, "T.R.O.U.B.L.E."

'Happy Endings' Boss On Creating A Satisfying Finale For Fans

With the "Happy Endings" finale airing tonight (a double-bill starting at 8 p.m. ET) many fans are wondering whether ABC will renew the cult comedy for a fourth season, or whether another network might save it from cancellation.

While today is a perfect opportunity to look back at all the reasons why we love "Happy Endings" in case it goes away, executive producer Jonathan Groff is still optimistic about the show's future.

In a recent interview with TVGuide.com, Groff admitted that they approached the Season 3 finale like any other season ender: "Honestly, we didn't think too much about, 'Oh, this could be it.' If it is it for the show, which would be sad, I think it would leave people with a nice feeling of, 'OK, I get where this could go.' But we really felt like we'll land somewhere and come back," he said. "People at ABC really like the show, all the way up to the top. They've been so supportive in so many ways that we kind of feel like maybe at the end of the day, they'll say, 'This is a good show. We just need to figure out how to put it in the right place.'"

Asked about the rumors that USA could be interested in picking up the show if ABC declines, Groff admitted, "It's nice to know that people might want us, but I don't really know anything. No one tells us anything. ... If ABC picks it up, it's because it's a good show. They have good comedies and we're one of them. They want to try us again and handle us differently. I'd love to be anywhere, but I'd love to stay on ABC. We'll see what happens."

Though ABC courted controversy with its "Save 'Happy Endings'" promotional campaign after numeroustimeslotchanges, Groff still thinks that the network believes in the show. "You know, it's easy to make light of it because the corporate entity that has the power to save the show is asking viewers to save it. I think it was their way of getting fans excited. It also got attention. Rarely have I seen a promo get picked up in news outlets," he told TV Guide. "And honestly, they could've canceled us. The move to Fridays to keep us around was to keep us on the schedule. ABC has been so, so good to us. Other networks would've canceled us already and I think they didn't because they know it's a good show and this cast is insanely talented."

As for whether tonight's finale will satisfy the show's loyal viewers, Groff told TV Guide, "Obviously, we want to go on, but if this is it, I don't think any 'Happy Endings' fan would be disappointed."

NEW YORK — PepsiCo says it cutting ties with Lil Wayne after the rapper made a crude reference to civil rights martyr Emmett Till in a song.

Lil Wayne, one of the biggest stars in pop music, had a deal to promote the company's Mountain Dew soda.

The controversy erupted after Wayne referred to beating someone during a sexual act and said he wants to do as much damage as was done to Till.

The black teen was visiting family in Mississippi in 1955 when he was killed, allegedly for whistling at a white woman.

PepsiCo Inc., based in Purchase, N.Y., said in a statement Friday that Wayne's "offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand."

Showtime has released the official poster for "Dexter" Season 8, and it shows Miami Metro's serial killer of serial killers wrapped up ... literally. The unsettling poster features a close-up of Dexter's face covered in the plastic wrap he uses to dispose of his victims' body parts and below, the text reads, "The end begins."

Could Dexter Morgan finally meet his end this season? Michael C. Hall has said the character probably has to be held accountable for his actions by the time the series wraps. In an interview with Salon, he said, "I imagine Dexter is going to get caught one way or the other ... As far as whether he goes to jail, or gets put to death, or gets hit by a bus or whatever it might be, I can’t say."

Joshua Estrin: Rachel Zoe Offers Her Support to Baby2Baby

I don't deal in gossip, I find celebrity attacks to be abhorrent and just because someone is in the spotlight does not mean they have given the world permission to make them a moving target.

Clearly, with the rise of reality television, the definition of celebrity has changed, and in a genre that lends itself to drama, the people in front of the camera are still just that, people, and as such, deserve the right the make a living without character attacks.

Quite a lead-in, and perhaps a proof that I, too, have a bit of a flair for the dramatic, but in what was one of the most delightful and revealing interviews of late with new bestie Rachel Zoe, I stand by my opinion that this dynamic women not always portrayed in the most positive light, is gracious, magnetic, humble and yes, as a creative spirit who is brilliantly awkward at times in her willingness to speak her truth. She also happens to be damn funny and is well aware she is perfectly imperfect.

In a recent sit-down to get my Zoe chat on, I embraced my own imperfections in an attempt to appear slightly less than the fashion catastrophe that I am while getting a chance to hear what Rachel is doing to take care of mothers and children in need.

Can a synergy still exist between being a mom and remaining stylish?

Of course! OMG! Yes... It is a all about trial and error and being willing to be fearless. If you have a day when you are tragically un-chic, who cares? You are a mother, you have a child enjoy that and you can be fashion fabulous tomorrow.

Has being a mother changed your personal sense of style?

Simple answer: yes! But that makes for a really boring interview... The reality for me is I have embraced (well, when did I ever not embrace?) black, and I love my denim. I still love large pieces of jewelry, but they are not practical for most of my daytime mommy duties. No spikes or hugantic animal bracelets. I keep it chic, streamlined and simple and I save the fun, funky stuff for when I go out in the evening. I am a realist so I joyfully embrace the fact that anything I choose to wear needs to be safe and toddler friendly. It will also undoubtedly end up with some kind of finger-paint, crayon, marker or general unrecognizable kid goo on it and I am 100 percent okay with that. I like to think of it as an unexpected accessory.

You are involved with the charity Baby2Baby. What is it that moved you to take action with them?

Every charity has worth and sometimes it can feel overwhelming. I hear it all the time when I talk to other women. We want to make a difference and we want to do it all, but we can't -- or at least, I can't. I can do what I can do and you can do what you can do and no one has the right to decide what is enough for anyone else. For me, it is about balance as I want to be involved in a global movement like my work with Save The Children and I also want to make a difference close to home. I believe it is important to never lose sight of what is closest to you and Baby2Baby is dedicated to providing Los Angeles families in need with necessary baby products and clothing for their kids. Hosting their recent Mother's Day Garden Party was an honor. I love this country, but it still blows my mind that one in three American families struggle with diaper needs. Babies need diapers and this is my way of keeping it close to home and close to my heart.

What do you think is the greatest misconception people have about motherhood? More specifically, what misconception do you think people have about you, Rachel Zoe as a mother?

Oh... Oh my! I am sure people have more than a few ideas about me and add mommy into the mix and I am sure it is even more epic. I would say people probably don't think I am a hands on mom. They are so wrong! I am all over motherhood it is an honor, a privilege and a lot of fun. Not hands on? Way off base. But if people want to make me out to be something I'm not what can I do? I keep loving my family and being the best mom I know how... With a dash a fabulous just so I don't completely send people into an identity crisis (she teases).

Sauntering off into my own style oblivion I realized how badly I needed an updated look so I purchased a baseball cap and another black T-shirt leaving with a new sense of insight and respect for Rachel Zoe.

NOTE: Through Mother's Day, for every tweet using #HuggiesBaby2Baby, Huggies Every Little Bottom will donate an additional pack of diapers to help Los Angeles families in need.

'Nothing Is The Same'

The May 2 episode of "Scandal," titled "A Woman Scorned," gave new meaning to the words "game-changer" -- not only did we witness Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) choosing his relationship with Olivia (Kerry Washington) over his marriage to Mellie (Bellamy Young), but in retaliation, Mellie went live on national television to reveal that her husband was having an affair.

So where do our troubled characters go from here? In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, creator Shonda Rhimes admitted, "Fitz's declaration also changed the fabric of the show as well. Everything is turned on its end at the end of Thursday's episode. And next week, nothing is the same."

Still, Olivia challenged Fitz to "earn" her in Thursday's episode, and his decision to sit and watch her watch him as the clock on Mellie's ultimatum ran out certainly seemed to put the dysfunctional couple back on the same page -- but can they maintain a relationship with the eyes of the world upon Fitz?

"Those two characters believe that they can actually be together," Rhimes told TVGuide.com. "Whether or not the forces around them are actually going to let that happen is an entirely different story. Whether Olivia's responsible fixer side is going to allow that to happen is an entirely different story."

Both characters have their share of dirty laundry, too; Fitz still hasn't told Olivia that he killed Verna (Debra Mooney) and Olivia's seemingly in no hurry to admit that she slept with Jake (Scott Foley), who is old friends with Fitz but also a part of the mysterious B-613 program that created killers like Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Charlie (George Newbern).

"Jake is a very is very interesting character who has some people rooting for him, some people think he's a good guy, some people think he's a bad guy, nobody knows for sure what's going on there," Rhimes told THR. "As we head into the finale, you're going to start to discover more of what that's about."

We'll also see genre favorite John Barrowman in the penultimate episode of the season (titled "Any Questions?"), and Rhimes told THR and TV Guide that he'll be playing a fellow fixer with "a very surprising client."

The identity of the mole is still in question, and Rhimes told THR that the cast was "freaking out" when they discovered the truth -- but there's more to that mystery than we might think: "It's not just who the mole is, it's who the mole is working with and what's going on there that's even bigger than just who the mole is. We're really proud of who the mole is, that's a pretty surprising twist but it's even bigger than that."

Bitter Court Battle Between Kobe & His Mom

The past few months haven’t been great for Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant. In April the player tore his anterior cruciate ligament, and now he is involved in a legal battle involving his mother, Pamela Bryant.

To Kobe’s dismay, his mother wants to auction off some of his childhood posessions -- including old basketball trophies and championship rings he designed for his parents -- in order to pay for a new house in Nevada, per the Philadelphia Inquirer. The items are expected to sell for $1.5 million in June, via Goldin Auctions L.L.C. of West Berlin, N.J.

On Tuesday Kobe sent a cease-and-desist letter to the auctioneer, ordering the company to cancel the sale and return the objects to him. The auction house filed a countersuit Friday that asks for the right to sell the player’s items, according to the Associated Press.

ESPN reports that the objects Pamela wants to sell are “the NBA star's jerseys, practice gear and sweatsuits from Lower Merion High School; varsity letters; a trophy for being the outstanding player at the 1995 Adidas ABCD basketball camp; and a signed basketball from the 2000 NBA championship game,” in addition to several high school and NBA championship rings.

Goldin Auctions contends that the basketball player previously told his mother he no longer wanted the items, writes the AP. However, Kobe’s lawyer, Mark Campbell, told the Philadelphia Inquirer, "Mr. Bryant's personal property has ended up in the possession of someone who does not lawfully own it.”

CHECK IT: LA's New Summer Soundtrack

Michael David and Tyler Blake have been making music together for years now, but it's on "Hanging Gardens" -- their debut LP as Classixx -- that they've finally hit gold. The Los Angeles-based DJ and production duo exploded onto the scene with "I'll Get You," a sing-song dance track that sounds like it has been around for decades. That 2009 single, which was written with and features Lady Gaga stalwart Jeppe, makes its way onto the album (May 14, Innovative Leisure).

"Gardens" is a near-perfect summer record, and anyone who has lived in or visited Los Angeles can instantly feel the city seeping through its 12 tracks. That makes sense, given the fact that the duo says they recorded the album "in every corner of L.A., from a very dense, industrial part of the Valley to our new studio in Venice Beach, Downtown and everywhere in between." HuffPost linked up with (the very concise) David over email to find out how L.A. made its own voice heard on the project.

Tell us about one of your usual places in L.A., for food or entertainment.
I'm a Westside dude, so for coffee, it's Balconi on Sawtelle. Lunch: Bay Cities in Santa Monica. Dinner: Apple Pan of Dan Tanas (if it's Valentine's Day).

Are there any LA-based bands or producers that figured prominently in your music?
Yes, we collaborated with lots of L.A. friends on the record. Some notable performances by Active Child and Jesse from Kisses.

What do you hate about L.A.?
Spoiled kids and traffic.

What do you love about L.A.?
The weather, radio and close proximity to the desert, beach and snow.

What's your dream venue to perform at in LA?
The Troubadour. We've played it before, but we're playing there again on May 20 with our friends, Holy Ghost!

Parts of this record, to us, sound like sitting by the pool with a bunch of gorgeous friends. Where do you picture it being played, and where did you record it?
We envisioned a driving record. I think it'd be good on the way down to Palm Springs or somewhere coastal on the way up to Big Sur.

'There's A Lot Of Emotional Death'

$

When the promo for next week's "Grey's Anatomy" aired Thursday night, fans panicked after seeing a pregnant Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) slip and fall on the stairs at the hospital.

Now, showrunner Shonda Rhimes is hinting that "Grey's Anatomy" viewers have reason to worry about Meredith's baby. "She has that fall, and that starts a string of events that is cause for concern," Rhimes told TV Guide. "Then, in the finale, we have the storm hit and the conditions under which Meredith Grey has to go into labor are the exact opposite of any conditions under which anybody ever in the world would want to have to give birth ... It's also a really beautiful story, and I think Ellen did amazing work on it and I'm really excited about it."

Considering how challenging it was for Meredith to get pregnant, it seems only fitting that giving birth would be an equal challenge. But with the official episode description for the "Grey's Anatomy" Season 9 finale (below) teasing that "one of the doctors fights for their life," does this mean Meredith's delivery could be fatal?

"We will leave the season with someone fighting for their life," Rhimes teased to TV Guide. "There's plenty of jeopardy in the finale, there's a lot of pain, but there's also some joy. Unlike some seasons when there was no joy and only pain, there is some joy."

"Some seasons" would certainly apply to the Season 8 finale, which saw the death of Meredith's half-sister Lexie (Chyler Leigh), Mark (Eric Dane) fighting for his life (and eventually dying in Season 9), and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) losing her leg. "When we leave the season, we're definitely going to be worried about one of our own," Rhimes told The Hollywood Reporter. "I don't think that anything can match the brutality of last year's finale for me. I just watched it again recently and was kind of surprised myself about the brutality of it. I don't think we're going to match that but for a lot of our characters, it's a much more emotional. There's a lot of emotional death."

Emotions are certainly expected to run high when it comes to Arizona and Callie's (Sara Ramirez) storyline. This week's episode introduced new craniofacial specialist Lauren Boswell ("One Tree Hill"/"White Collar" star Hilarie Burton), who wasn't shy about flirting with the married woman. "We’re equal opportunity over here at 'Grey’s Anatomy,'" Rhimes told TVLine of what fans fear could become a "Calzona" cheating scandal. "Straight people have their cheating moments all of the time. We’ve created this relationship that’s very interesting and complex, and I feel like we’re at a moment where this [temptation] feels earned. We’re doing something that feels very in keeping with what’s right for these characters."

Rhimes told THR that her research on post-traumatic stress disorder indicated that what Arizona went through would perhaps lead to this kind of complication. "These people have been through a hell of a lot this season and we've watched them struggle to right themselves fairly quickly -- perhaps too quickly," Rhimes said. "There's stuff there that has not been dealt with. We're taking them through it, which I think is great, and Lauren is definitely possibly a part of that."

How far will things go with Lauren? "It's going to go very, very far," the showrunner explained.

Rhimes also told THR and TVLine that the final Calzona scene in the Season 9 finale had the biggest effect on the cast. "The goal of the [Calzona] story becomes really clear in the last moments of the finale: you really begin to understand in their last scene," she told THR. "From our table read, that was the most stunning moment of the table read -- the entire cast gasped and fell silent."

Read the official episode descriptions for the final two episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" below and tune in Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC to find out what happens with Meredith's baby, Callie and Arizona and the rest of the Grey Sloan Memorial staff.

"Readiness Is All" (penultimate episode, airing Thursday, May 9 at 9 p.m. ET)

The doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital prepare for a super storm heading towards Seattle; Owen's desire to be a parent gets stronger as he becomes closer to Ethan; and one wrong move puts the lives of Meredith and her baby in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Jo looks to Alex for help in a moment of crisis, and one doctor gets the shock of her life.

"Perfect Storm" (season finale, airing Thursday, May 16 at 9 p.m. ET)

Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital enters crisis mode as the storm rages, resources become scarce and patients flood in by the busload. Meanwhile, one of the doctors fights for their life.

Tanisha L. Ramirez: Eva Longoria's Devious Maids Is a Wasted Opportunity

$

Holy stereotypes, Batman! Have you seen the teaser trailer for Eva Longoria's new Lifetime series, Devious Maids?

The minute-long trailer manages to efficiently portray Latinas as hypersexual, nosy, scheming and, at times, totally invisible domestic servants, one set of pushed-up breasts, devilishly squinted eyes and sassy hair flip at a time. What the trailer doesn't do, however, is allude to the supposed actual premise of the show. According to MyLifetime.com, the show is supposed to center on "a close-knit group of maids who are bonded together by their jobs, life struggles and the melodramatic 'upstairs-downstairs' universe that engulfs their employers." This formula, the network promises, will paint class warfare both fun and dirty! Because, you know, class warfare has always been so very boring. Thanks, Lifetime!

That being said, Devious Maids seems to be a wasted opportunity. The series is the first mainstream, English-language television drama featuring five Latina main characters, which is -- for better or for worse -- a novel concept even in this day and age. Not novel, however, is the fact that all -- count 'em, all! -- of the main characters play "devious" maids. It just all seems like a missed opportunity to diversify the roles played by Latinas.

In defense of the show's premise, Eva Longoria told The Huffington Post, "They are leads of the show, and they are playing maids, which is a realistic reflection of our society today in America. When we get any sort of backlash for -- 'Oh, they're playing the stereotypical maids' -- my immediate response is, 'So you're telling me those stories aren't worth telling, that those people are lesser than, that their stories aren't worth exploring, that they have no complexity in their life because they're a maid?'"

In response to Longoria's questions, I have four questions of my own:

1. Are we really being told the maids' stories? Devious Maids' tagline is, "Whoever holds the dirt, holds the power," suggesting that the maids are privy to -- and willing to -- tell stories about their wealthy, predominantly white employers. It seems, then, that the maids' stories and identities exist almost exclusively in relation to their employers.

2. Are maids a realistic reflection of Latinas status in America today? A majority of the U.S. Latino population are second, third- and fourth-generation individuals, many of whom probably never even considered becoming maids. In fact, many of the Latinos who belong to this demographic -- a demographic widely sought after by network advertisers -- are attending college at higher rates than ever before, and breaking stereotypes left and right as they become lawyers, doctors and entrepreneurs.

3. To that point: Aren't Latina teachers', doctors', CEOs' and entrepreneurs' stories worth telling, as well? Devious Maids marks the first time in American media history that a mainstream series features five Latina main characters -- a perfect opportunity to portray diverse characters, who in turn, have diverse careers.

4. Haven't maids' stories been told before? Hello, Maid in Manhattan, The Help, and every telenovela ever produced.

I get that at the heart of it all, Devious Maids is a telenovela -- a genre founded on pathos, drama and the exploitation of racial and gender stereotypes. However, there are ample opportunities to adapt more progressive Latina/o-driven content for mainstream audiences. For instance, ABC's Ugly Betty was inspired by the telenovela Betty La Fea. Also, Latina-produced book series such as The Dirty Girls Social Club combine strong story lines with positive representations of diverse Latina women. Surely, novelas that perpetuate stereotypes are not the only "original" content we have to draw from, right? Right!?

I love that Eva Longoria is trying to blaze the trail for more Latino/a-produce content to hit the mainstream airways; however, her means to that end is endlessly disappointing and shortsighted.

Devious Maids premieres June 23 on Lifetime.

Keira Knightley is a married woman.

The 28-year-old actress tied the knot with her beau James Righton, 29, on May 4 in an intimate ceremony at the town hall in Mazan, a small town around 12 miles from Marseilles, France, according to People.

The couple, who got engaged a year ago, exchanged vows in front of a handful of guests.

"It was not a long service and very few people" one witness tells People,. "The ceremony occurred just before noon and lasted only about 30 minutes. Keira looked beautiful. She wore a very pretty, very classic dress."

Knightley's dress can be seen in photos obtained by X17online.com. She wore a strapless tulle frock that came to her knees, a classic Chanel jacket and flats. Klaxons rocker Righton wore a navy suit.

"It was a very moving ceremony," an onlooker tells Us Weekly of the low-key affair, officiated by Mazan mayor Aime Navello. "Keira looked emotional during the whole thing. She cried when they exchanged their vows but was still smiling."

Fifty to 100 guests are expected to attend the wedding reception tonight, which will be held close to the couple's vacation villa in in the picturesque hills near Avignon. A tent was spotted there on May 3.

What Bret Easton Ellis Really Thinks About Kathryn Bigelow

$
0
0

So what were you trying to say about her?

What I really wanted to do was make a statement not about Kathryn Bigelow, but about a film industry that is pretty sexist. It needs to protect itself, or feel good about itself and, therefore, makes a woman who maybe isn't the best filmmaker into a symbol. And if you tarnish that symbol you get a lot of shit for that. She makes them feel good about the fact that they live and work within an incredibly sexist industry. That was what I wanted to say, but I ended up looking like a misogynist. More and more I regret the apology. The piece that I did write was chopped in half; it was originally much more about writing tweets on Twitter and less an apology. It was also about other things. So I wish I hadn't posted it, but I did.

The young stars of Hollywood made headlines this week as they revealed some surprising details about their personal lives.

Now, let's face it, Amanda Bynes is going to continue to tweet bizarre messages and strange photos, but she's starting to make us worried. The 27-year-old star shared her weight-loss goal on Twitter this week, posting:

For someone who is 5 feet 8 inches, Bynes should weigh no less than she already does. Oh no.

In better news, Miley Cyrus admitted that although she and Liam Hemsworth aren't spotted out together as much anymore, they are still engaged. In an interview with Elle U.K., the 20-year-old says, "We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed. But we keep our relationship low-key and don’t talk about it any more. We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight –- into my life and my puppies and my house –- and I just don’t feel they get that privilege any more."

Cyrus also told V Magazine that she "wishes" she could spend more time with Hemsworth, but is confident that their relationship is as strong as ever.

Also this week, Gwyneth Paltrow shared some racy marriage advice, LiLo headed off for 90 days in rehab, Kim Kardashian jetted off to Greece and then Paris and Heather Locklear landed herself a new man.

The actor is parting ways with the film over creative differences, Deadline reports. Pacino is leaving the film months before its release, as "Despicable Me 2" is scheduled to hit theaters on July 3.

Illumination Entertainment and Universal, the studios behind "Despicable Me," have already found Pacino's replacement in the 49-year-old Bratt. The actor's recent projects include stints on "Law & Order" and "Private Practice," appearances on "Modern Family," and a role in the Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson-led action film "Snitch."

"Despicable Me 2" will also feature the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, and Russell Brand, among others.
