Barbra Streisand Dings Romney At New York Concert

Barbra Streisand used an appearance at the newly opened Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday evening to ding Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

"He's a good actor," Streisand said at the show about Romney. "[He's] a chameleon. It's great."

As she had done at a concert earlier this week in Philadelphia, Streisand also mocked Romney for his threat to cut funding to "Sesame Street."

"I love Big Bird and I hope no one tells Romney how to get to Sesame Street ... or to Pennsylvania Avenue," she quipped.

Streisand has been an outspoken support of Barack Obama throughout the presidential race.

"Thank God Obama's pulling ahead because it's a clear choice, you know, in my opinion," Streisand told the AP. "If you want to survive as a planet, recognize that there is climate change and you want to protect your food and your air and your water from pesticides, chemicals, you want to focus on education and young people and giving health care to the public -– there's no choice."

In a blog posted on Huffington Post, Streisand wrote that electing Romney would be akin to reelecting George W. Bush.

"Unlike Mitt Romney, President Obama believes we need to invest in education, energy, innovation and infrastructure and reform our tax system to create good jobs, grow our economy and pay down the debt in a reasoned way," she wrote. "He believes in an inclusive country where all people deserve equal protection and treatment under the law, as well as equal opportunity, whether they are gay, straight, black, brown, white, religious, atheist, old or young."

Which Celebs Haven't Paid Their Taxes?

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Two celebrities are on a notable list in California, but it's not exactly the A-list.

The state's Franchise Tax Board says singer Dionne Warwick and actor Steven Seagal are among the top 500 people and businesses owing the most in unpaid taxes. The tax board released its list Thursday.

It says Warwick, who now lives in New Jersey, owes California $2.6 million. She's been delinquent since 2003, but her publicist, Kevin Sasaki, says Warwick has worked out a repayment plan with the state and is paying down her debt.

Seagal owes the state nearly $350,000 and has been on the list since April. Telephone messages were left with his agent and his company, Steamroller Productions, on Thursday.

Technology entrepreneur Halsey Minor, of San Rafael, owes the most to the state – $10.7 million.

It's been a big few years for Bay Area baseball. The San Francisco Giants were 2010's World Series champions, the A's memoir movie "Moneyball" scored an Oscar nomination and both teams are currently fighting their way through the playoffs.

But mere moments after the Giants beat the Cincinnati Reds, becoming the first NL team to overcome a 2-0 deficit in the division series, a TBS television camera caught ace pitcher Tim Lincecum slip out a comment that was more money shot than Moneyball.

Deadspin's Timothy Burke quickly published the video of the post-game celebration in which Lincecum is sprayed in the face with champagne.

"That was right in my eye dude," said Lincecum. "Now I know what chicks feel like."

As if TBS producers weren't reeling in their seats already, Lincecum didn't stop there.

"Hit in the f*cking face with a f*cking cork!"

Salty!

The San Francisco Giants' racy behavior is well documented. (See Aubrey Huff's rally thong or Brian Wilson's Machine.) But this one might be one for the books.

Billy Crystal's Favorite Role

With over 35 years in showbusiness, Billy Crystal has played some iconic roles: Morty the Mime of "This Is Spinal Tap," Dr. Ben Sobel as seen in "Analyze This" and "Analyze That," and of course Harry Burns from the Nora Ephron-scripted "When Harry Met Sally..."

Crystal's favorite role, however, isn't one of those characters. Rather, it's Mike Wazowski, the one-eyed animated monster Crystal voiced in "Monsters, Inc."

In an interview with THR, Crystal said of Mike Wazowski, “He’s my favorite character I’ve ever played.”

With $255 million in domestic grosses, "Monsters Inc." is Crystal's biggest box office hit. He gets the chance to return to his most cherished role in the upcoming "Monsters University," a prequel to the original film, which is due out on June 21, 2013. Audiences won't have to wait that long to see Crystal, though: He's also teaming up with Bette Midler for the holiday release of "Parental Guidance."

Springsteen To Campaign For Obama In Ohio

WASHINGTON — Bruce Springsteen will be back campaigning for President Barack Obama.

The musician will join former President Bill Clinton at a Thursday rally in Parma, Ohio, two days after the second presidential debate. Obama will not attend the rally.

Springsteen also will appear at a campaign event Thursday in Ames, Iowa.

Springsteen campaigned for Obama in 2008, but these will be his first political appearances of the 2012 cycle. Clinton is a prominent campaigner for Obama.

Clinton and Springsteen's joint appearance in Ohio underscores the importance of the key swing state. Polls show Obama with a slight lead there over Mitt Romney, but the Republican presidential candidate is spending an increasing amount of time and resources in the state ahead of Election Day.

She's just being Miley ... on "Two and a Half Men."

Singer-actress-Obama supporter Miley Cyrus will guest star on the Oct. 18 episode of "Two and a Half Men," and CBS has released a first clip of her appearance.

Cyrus plays Missi on "Two and a Half Men," the daughter of a friend of Walter (Ashton Kutcher). In previous press materials for the episode -- like the photo at left -- Cyrus and Kutcher were shown in bed together, but the scene above focues on the origin of Missi's name and not any bedroom antics.

Ben Affleck's Karate Kid

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner keep their daughters busy.

Not only are Violet and Seraphina big sisters to 8-month-old Samuel, but the girls play soccer and do ballet. Plus, according to their famous dad, they know how to kick some major butt.

Garner picked up her youngest daughter, Seraphina from karate class on Oct. 12, and the 3-year-old not only looked cool in her uniform, but appeared to be extremely focused. And Affleck says that's the whole reason why he enrolled the girls in the course.

In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Oct. 8, Affleck chatted about Violet and Seraphina's many talents, including their secret skills.

"My daughters do karate," he told Kimmel, adding, "I wouldn't call it a sport as much as I'd call it a discipline."

"They know that it's a way of peace and it's purely defensive and they would never use their powers to hurt others," he continued, "But if you tangle with them ... they'll rip your nuts off."

That's right people, don't mess with the Afflecks.

But although they're tough, the girls apparently have a great sense of humor. When Affleck called to check in the other day, Seraphina gave him a treat he wasn't expecting.

"She just got on the phone and said, 'Hey Papa, I just met you. This is crazy, call me maybe,'" Affleck told Anderson Cooper of Seraphina's love of Carly Rae Jepsen's song. "I was like, 'This is horrible, how is my three-year-old listening to the pop station?"

'Argo' Has Strong Showing At Box Office

"Argo" has done something few films this year can claim: Connect both audiences and critics in unison. Ben Affleck's Oscar favorite opened with $5.3 million on Friday, according to estimates reported by Variety and TheWrap. That puts Affleck's film on pace to earn close to $20 million for the three-day weekend, a number which will continue to grow throughout the remainder of 2012; audiences gave "Argo" a rare "A+" grade on Cinemascore, meaning word of mouth should be spectacular.

"Argo" wasn't the only new release to succeed on Friday evening. The low-budget horror film "Sinister" actually beat all films on its opening night, earning an estimated $7.4 million. The thriller, starring Ethan Hawke, received a poor "C+" grade on Cinemascore, but should still gross near $18 million for the three-day weekend -- a huge windfall for a movie that cost just $3 million to produce.

The weekend's other new releases didn't fare nearly as well: "Here Comes the Boom" with Kevin James opened in fifth place with just $3.6 million; "Seven Psychopaths" landed with a thud in ninth place with just $1.3 million; and "Atlas Shrugged Part II" grossed just $692,000, opening outside the top-10.

Among holdovers, "Taken 2" earned $7 million on Friday and should battle "Argo" and "Sinister" for the top spot. Numbers were strong for "Hotel Transylvania," "Pitch Perfect" and "Looper" as well. Not so much for "Frankenweenie," however, which dropped to eighth place on Friday night.

Even though Miley Cyrus has recently unveiled a drastic revamped look, the new Miley definitely has her style signatures: her blonde cropped 'do, edgy outfits and underwear that doubles as outerwear. All three were employed during her appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" last night, but the latter was a little... distracting.

The 19-year-old chatted with Jay in a navy blue vintage Moschino skirt, red satin pumps and a black Anthony Vaccarello bustier. And even though we're slowly but surely getting used to the young singer's over-the-top sexy outfits, we were caught off guard by just how little fabric covered her top half. Was she wearing an actual top or just a glorified bra?

The provocative bralette was definitely a bold choice for the former Disney star (even though it may just be a step up from Miley's unfortunate wardrobe malfunction moments). But was the recently-engaged celeb baring too much skin?

Miley Cyrus Risks Having A Nip Slip On 'The Tonight Show'

Miley Cyrus deserves to flaunt her body after attending countless numbers of Pilates classes to get in incredible shape. But the 19-year-old risked having a huge wardrobe malfunction on "The Tonight Show" last night (Oct. 12) when she showed up for her interview in a cleavage-baring crop top and high-waisted skirt.

Cyrus' eye-catching ensemble showed off her best assets, but almost gave away a bit too much as she chatted about her fiancé Liam Hemsworth and her new role on "Two and a Half Men."

"I've turned [Liam's trailer] into my office," Cyrus said of visiting "The Hunger Games" set in Atlanta, Ga. "I work on my music ... and sometimes I just sit in there and color and watch TV. I have secret crayons for when I get bored, night shoots, you know?"

But although she may still be a kid at heart, Cyrus is a woman when it comes to romance. The newly blonde beauty told Jay Leno that she had a hard time kissing Angus T. Jones, also 19, on the set of "Two and a Half Men" because she felt like she was betraying Hemsworth.

"It was kind of weird because when I'm doing it the prop guys and all these people, they're like, 'Do you have your ring on?' And I'm like, 'Ugh. This feels weird,' like taking off my ring to make out with Angus," Cyrus explained. "It's creepy, it kind of felt a little weird at first."

Well, it probably wouldn't be as "weird" as Leno catching a glimpse of her breasts ... right?

Robin Sparkles Returns!

Robin Sparkles fans rejoice! Everyone's favorite Canadian teen pop star is due to make another appearance on "How I Met Your Mother."

Cobie Smulders, who plays Robin Scherbatsky (and her teen alter-ego Robin Sparkles) on the show, tweeted a photo of herself dressed as the "Let's Go To The Mall" singer earlier this week.

The character of Robin Sparkles first emerged in Season 2 of the show when Scherbatsky was hesitant to go to malls and wouldn't tell her boyfriend at the time, Ted Mosby (played by Josh Radnor), why. After some digging done by Neil Patrick Harris' character Barney Stinson, it was discovered that throughout her teen years, Scherbatsky had toured malls in Canada performing her one pop hit, "Let's Go To The Mall." (Listen to that ear worm above.)

There is talk that this will be the last season of HIMYM, so a return appearance by Robin Sparkles is much needed. Fans can only hope that it includes a follow-up ballad to "Sandcastles In The Sand."

His & Hers: Liam Hemsworth Gets Tattoo To Match Miley Cyrus'

Liam Hemsworth has a new tattoo -- and like his fiancee Miley Cyrus, it's a quote from a famous speech by former president Theodore Roosevelt.

The 22-year-old actor showed off his new ink in a photograph posted on Instagram this week that shows both his and Cyrus' tattoos:

US Magazine writes:

In script that matches Cyrus', [Hemsworth's] stamp says, "If he fails, at least fails while daring greatly" -- the line immediately preceding the one Cyrus picked from that iconic oration, in which Roosevelt urged his listeners to live life to the fullest.

As Access Hollywood notes, however, Hemsworth's tattoo appears to be missing the word 'he,' when compared to the original passage.

"It is not the critic who counts: not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better," Roosevelt told a crowd in France in 1910.

"The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself for a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat," the speech continued.

The popular Twitter fan account @LiamHemsworths tweeted this photo on Friday that shows the Australian actor posing with the tattoo artist who gave him the new ink:

Cyrus, who is said to now have 15 tattoos, had the quote from Roosevelt's speech tattooed onto her arm in July, the Hollywood Gossip writes.

Gary Collins Dies At 74

Legendary TV actor and host, Gary Collins, passed away early this morning in Biloxi, Miss., at the age of 74.

Harrison County Deputy Coroner Brian Switzer tells TMZ that Collins died of natural causes just before 1:00 a.m. at Biloxi Regional Medical Center.

Appearing on hit shows, such as "JAG," "Charlie's Angels," "Fantasy Island" and "The Love Boat," Collins was best known for hosting the talk show "Hour Magazine" from 1980 to 1988. He also hosted the Miss America Pageant from 1985 to 1989.

Collins, who separated from his wife of 44 years, Mary Ann Mobley, last year, has three children -- daughter Mary with Mobley and Guy and Mimi with his previous wife, Susan Peterson.

Bill Rancic's Back For All-Star Season Of 'The Apprentice'

The original winner of "The Apprentice" is making his way back to boardroom.

Bill Rancic has announced that although he's not a contestant on "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice," he will be a huge part of the upcoming season. The 41-year-old new dad, who just welcomed son Edward Duke with his wife, E! News correspondent Giuliana Rancic, will be assisting Donald Trump as a mentor to the cast, which includes stars like Trace Adkins, Stephen Baldwin, Gary Busey, Lisa Rinna, Omarosa, LaToya Jackson and Bret Michaels.

"It's hard to believe it was almost nine years ago that I won the first season of "The Apprentice,"" Rancic told E! News of his new gig. "Had it not been for "The Apprentice" and Donald Trump, I wouldn't have met my wife through an interview with E! News."

"It's always an honor when Mr. Trump asks me to come back to the show," he continued. "Over the years, I have been a boardroom advisor several times, but am most excited to be a part of this All-Star season. I have a strong feeling it's going to be the most entertaining celebrity season yet, and I look forward to being a part of it."

"All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" begins filming on Monday in New York City.

Anne Hathaway won't compete with herself this awards season. As first reported by In Contention, a HitFix blog that covers the Academy Awards, Warner Bros. has decided to run Hathaway in the Best Actress category for her role in "The Dark Knight Rises." The move leaves Hathaway's buzzed-about turn in "Les Miserables" as her sole chance for Best Supporting Actress.

The decision is surprising, if only because many considered Hathaway's performance as Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises" the film's best chance at a supporting acting nomination.

"If there is going to be one, it will most likely be [Hathaway]," wrote prominent Oscar blogger Sasha Stone in response to a HuffPost Entertainment piece speculating on "Dark Knight Rises" acting nomination possibilities. "True, everyone thinks 'Les Miz' will be her big Oscar grab, and it probably will be but -- that doesn’t take away the fact that she’s still the film’s best shot at an acting nod."

As lead actress in "Dark Knight Rises," Hathaway is now competing against the likes of Helen Mirren (for "Hitchcock"), Marion Cotillard (for "Rust and Bone"), Jennifer Lawrence (for "Silver Linings Playbook"), Emmanuelle Riva (for "Amour"), Keira Knightley (for "Anna Karenina") and Quvenzhané Wallis (for "Beasts of the Southern Wild"), among others.

Will Agent Coulson Return For 'S.H.I.E.L.D.'?

Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson is coming back to S.H.I.E.L.D. Despite meeting a tragic end in "Marvel's The Avengers," the beloved and by-the-book agent will apparently make an appearance in "Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D.," the new television series produced by Joss Whedon.

"We all love Clark Gregg, there's no doubt about that," Whedon said via taped message to attendees at New York Comic-Con on Saturday. "From before we made 'The Avengers,' we discussed whether there was a way for him to be a part of the Marvel Universe, perhaps a part of a TV show even after his death."

Confirmed Marvel chief Kevin Feige, "There was never going to be a 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' show without Agent Phil Coulson!"

The news of Gregg's involvement in "Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D." was first reported by Comic Book Resources and later confirmed by TVLine.

While fans have been clamoring for Coulson's return -- perhaps as Vision, a synthetic android in the Marvel universe that can be implanted with real memories -- Gregg himself is likely even more pleased with the news. In an interview with Movies.com in September, the actor expressed dismay over the fact that his character wouldn't appear on the television series when it launched.

"You know what -- that was the moment where I went, great, now they're doing the S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show now that I'm on a slab," he joked. Added Gregg about the possibility of Coulson-as-Vision, "I love the idea of Coulson as the Vision, but I don't know if that's in the cards."
