When Louis C.K. hosted "Saturday Night Live" in 2012, we all remember such highlights as his open letter to NYC after Hurricane Sandy and how he turned Abe Lincoln into "Louie." But, let's not forget the infamous 10 to 1 sketch in which he made out with then-new cast member Kate McKinnon. Like, REALLY made out. Nearly a year later, Kate McKinnon opens up to Details about the kiss and reveals what we pretty much already knew to be true -- Louis is really good at terrible kissing.
DETAILS: You made out with Louis C.K. for a sketch when he hosted last year. What was it like? KATE MCKINNON: If you asked me to seriously kiss someone on a screen, I would be very uncomfortable. But I will lick any part of your face. So what was just supposed to be a little gross turned into a dance of mouths and of hair and of teeth. He's the best bad kisser. There's no one I'd rather bad kiss.
Click over to Details for more from Kate McKinnon, including her first "celebrity" impression, her worst day job while performing with the Upright Citizens Brigade for free, and when the fun really starts at the "SNL" after-parties (spoiler alert: it's when Kate spots the cheese plate). Farrah Abraham Thinks Being A Feminist Has Something To Do With Being A Lesbian

Like many other X-rated film actresses, "Teen Mom" turned porn star Farrah Abraham is now making appearances at strip clubs across the country. To promote the 22-year-old's appearance at the opening of a new club in Miami on Sept. 12, Abraham spoke to the Miami New Times for a rather ... enlightening interview, in which we discover that the former MTV reality star has absolutely no idea what the word "feminist" means. While discussing how Abraham's sex tape came about (Abraham claims it was something she made with porn star James Deen, whom she claims she was dating at the time, while Deen says the two never dated and everything was orchestrated to make it look like the tape somehow leaked), Miami New Times interviewer Allie Conti notes that Abraham's version of the events, however dubious, sound "pretty shitty." Conti goes on to ask Abraham if she considers herself a feminist:
Do you consider yourself a feminist? I'm pretty feminine. I think so. Not feminine -- feminist. What does that mean, you're a lesbian or something? No, that's not what I'm asking at all. What context are you saying it in? It's a complicated concept, but I guess at its most basic, it means that women are equal to men. Oh, I definitely feel that women are equal to men. No doubt about that. I mean women should have equal rights to men, every day.
Oh boy. This reminds us of the time someone asked Abraham her thoughts about Trayvon Martin. Just no.

With a black leather bustier and a curve-hugging emerald skirt, a poised and sensual Naya Rivera graces the October issue of Latina magazine. In the interview with the magazine, the 26-year-old star opened up about how the cast of “Glee” is dealing with the unexpected death of its male protagonist and which Latina superstar’s footsteps she is hoping to follow as she embarks on her music career. Canadian actor Cory Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room in July, since then, fans and critics have questioned how the cast of the Fox musical comedy-drama would handle the sudden loss of one of its lead characters. Rivera, who portrays the saucy Santana Lopez, acknowledged that returning to work on the fifth season of “Glee” proved to be challenging for the entire cast. "We're definitely taking it day by day,” the star says in the upcoming issue, set to hit newsstands on Sept. 10. “Everybody's really just leaning on each other and trying to do good work." Despite the emotional challenges on set, the star recognizes the enormous impact that her Hispanic and lesbian character has had on some of her fans. "There are very few ethnic LGBT characters on television, so I am honored to represent them,” Rivera told Latina. “I love supporting this cause, but it's a big responsibility, and sometimes it's a lot of pressure on me.” The breakout role on the Fox show allowed her career to take-off, but the half-Puerto Rican star said that her mixed-race heritage was not always welcome. "It used to hold me back when I was younger," Rivera said. "Casting directors didn't understand what I was. I wasn't black enough, or Latina enough -- I kind of fell through the cracks." With a solid role on television, Rivera has recently focused on recording her debut album. Last month the star released the first single, “Sorry,” featuring her boyfriend Big Sean and some controversy with one of her beau’s exes. On the road to a successful music career, the triple threat finds inspiration in a fellow Latina star that has made a name for herself in music, film and fashion, to name a few. “Jennifer Lopez is a perfect example of what it means to be a mogul and have longevity, but still have people like you,” Rivera told the magazine. “She can do this until she chooses not to anymore. I hope I can say that one day." "Glee" Season 5 premieres Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. Check out Naya on Latina Magazine's cover and more below: naya rivera latina

The Real-Life 'Amanda Show' Just Got Ugly: An Analysis Of Mental Illness In 140 Characters Or Less

Amanda Bynes' first tweet in nearly six weeks was met with a troubling reaction. "I love Drake," her verified account proclaimed, and the sudden response (including over 22,000 retweets) exemplified the sort of pseudo-compassionate, schadenfreude-driven rubber-necking that amounts to a near-perfect replica of Bynes' media coverage in the months preceding her psychiatric hold. amanda bynes Even now that Bynes is confined to a hospital, a candidate for a conservatorship, clearly suffering from a severe mental illness and in need of medical attention, various media outlets responded glibly once Bynes' lawyer stated she had been hacked: "Drake will be relieved," the headlines read. The unsympathetic fascination with Bynes's case reflects not just aspects of celebrity culture or the parasitic tabloid industry, but a shift in the larger conversation about mental health. Our response to Bynes' behavior throughout her saga exemplifies the stigma surrounding mental health and the idea of Twitter as a symptom. Unfortunately, derailed child stars are somewhat common, but what Amanda more closely symbolizes is the beautiful woman whose meltdown provides the gleefully distanced public with a cautionary tale. Anna Nicole Smith, Courtney Love and Britney Spears all come to mind. As Jill Filipovic put it, these women serve "a necessary cultural purpose: they're a warning against over-indulgence and narcissism." This trend is all the more problematic when juxtaposed with similar male breakdowns. Both Charlie Sheen and Chris Brown physically harmed people in their particular version of "losing it." Yet, Sheen's behavior was dismissed as "antics" and Brown (somehow) still has a thriving music career. It is, of course, irrational to regard Bynes with this smugly moralistic condemnation. Unlike Smith and Love, the Nickelodeon starlet did not succumb to hard partying or drugs, but is, instead, quite clearly suffering from a diagnosable disease (most likely schizophrenia as a result of post-traumatic stress disorder, though no official statement has been released). At this point in the E! "True Hollywood Story," Bynes' struggles should be a source of sympathy, not shameless voyeurism, and the fact that the dire nature of her situation has not significantly altered our reaction to her behavior reflects the issues that continue to plague our perception of mental illness. Amanda's very public case is distinct in the way her narrative quickly shifted from that of an attention-seeking former child star attempting to regain the spotlight to one of an isolated young woman in desperate need of psychiatric care. The difference between patterns of acting out and actionable mental illness were blurred at first. In her child stardom, Bynes was compared to such comedic actresses as Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett; she was a funny girl, and when she did things like tweet at Obama for help with her DUI, it was unclear whether she or not she was kidding. For a while, fact and fiction were similarly confused. Unlike many other stars who appear to be going "off the rails," Bynes was without a talent agent or publicist, to steer her clear of scandal or answer questions about what was truly going on with the star. Clearly fabricated stories, like the account of Bynes stripping naked at a Beach Bum, were soon mixed with the often equally outrageous truth, and the media lost a clear view of what was truly happening to the starlet, due in large part to the simple fact that there was no one to call and ask. Without adequate representation, Amanda's personal responses most frequently came in 140-character statements. The reception of celebrities using social media is a terrain much uncharted, but it has come to form an extension of stars' public personas. "Personal" posts are aggregated and reposted, and the medium becomes yet another deliberate form of exposure, where those stars who are already quite good at mediating their interaction with the public tend to excel. In the case of Amanda Bynes, however, it presented an additional venue for a troubled young woman to display symptoms of her ever more apparent struggle with mental illness. The tabloid industry is flawed insofar as it directly profits from the misfortune of others. The questionable moral standing of gossip forums is no shocking revelation. Painfully aware of this fact, editors attempt to cloak their deliberate prostitution of bad things happening to famous people by feigning concern. As the seriousness of Bynes' situation became more prominent, politically correct outlets enacted restraint by shifting their adjective of choice from "crazy" to "troubled," and yet they continued to harvest clicks from Amanda's self-posted topless photos and nonsensical tweets, creating slideshows of her Twitpics, and noting they "hope she gets better soon." Bynes' unexpected profession of love for Drake was, after all the fuss, the result of a hack. However, this issue extends beyond the most recent contribution of @amandabynes. The apparent frivolity of Twitter, perceived perhaps as a result of its brevity, requires some readjustment, if not only in light of the political scandals it is capable of launching. More importantly, it projects the personal behaviors of celebrities, once relegated to tabloids, into a far more public sphere. It is important to remember that our seemingly direct access to the stars does not alter the fact that we ought to have sympathy in the face of mental illness. Yes, celebrities choose to be in the spotlight, and their fame is similarly extended into the Twittersphere, but that choice is questionable when it comes to child stars, and should be regarded as symptomatic of the same behaviors that characterize disease. A hashtag-able proclamation on the part of a young woman suffering from a mental illness is not fair game for indulgent vitriol or flippant regurgitation. It is important to be understanding of the struggles that characterize a lack of mental health, and those troubled souls that are in need of psychiatric care also deserve our sympathy, regardless of whether or not they are a household name. In and outside of the realm of social media, the lack of compassion with which we continue to regard mental health has emerged as the one aspect of Amanda Bynes' tragic story that is truly #ugly.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Police in Oklahoma City discovered two semi-automatic pistols and a 12-gauge pump shotgun along with some prescription painkillers and marijuana residue on a tour bus occupied by rapper 2 Chainz and 10 other men, according to documents filed Tuesday in Oklahoma County District Court. The men were arrested Aug. 22 after refusing to get off the bus following a traffic stop. The 35-year-old rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, had performed with Lil Wayne and T.I. in Oklahoma City the previous night. 2 Chainz and the others were charged with obstructing a police officer, a misdemeanor. All were released after paying $2,000 bail. The Oklahoman newspaper reports ( ) police who searched the bus found two .40-caliber semi-automatic pistols and a partial box of ammunition for them, according to the documents. Twenty shells for the 12-gauge shotgun also were seized. http://bit.ly/14nXp2J Police found the prescription medications hydrocodone and Flexeril but without prescriptions, according to the search warrant return. Officers also reported discovering marijuana residue along with metal grinders and smoking papers with marijuana residue. An affidavit filed last week says an officer pulled over the bus on Interstate 40 because its rear taillights were not working. The officer smelled marijuana when the driver opened the door, the affidavit says, and the officer "could actually see smoke inside the bus around the door." The affidavit also says a passenger on the bus, Abdullah Mujahid, shook his head "no" when he was ordered to get off and held up a small copy of the U.S. Constitution. The Atlanta-based rapper, initially known as Tity Boi, was a member of the rap duo Playaz Circle before going solo. His 2012 debut album, "Based on a T.R.U. Story," topped the Billboard charts. His new album, "B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time," is set to be released. ___ Information from: The Oklahoman, http://www.newsok.com

Recently, my Facebook page reached 3 million followers -- I'm catching up to you, George Takei! -- and it's very encouraging to have so many people to share with every day. But, obviously, while there are millions of you there is only one of me. I would love to help each of you individually, but that's not physically possible. Yet. But this is why I love doing my live shows so much, because it is a chance to interact directly with my fans and meet people all over this country and the world. I'd like to share one story with you, though, about a remarkable young man I met in San Antonio. His name is Sebastien de la Cruz, and if you don't recognize the name you might remember his story. He's an 11 year-old native of San Antonio, and he did two very brave things. The first was to sing the national anthem before Game 3 of the NBA basketball finals, as a last minute replacement when Darius "Hootie" Rucker was delayed in reaching the city. Now, I don't know about you, but I'd be nervous enough singing in front of a few people. Sebastien did it in front of nearly 20,000 people live and on national TV, and did it wearing a black and silver mariachi suit. Apparently, this outfit and the color of his skin upset some people and it led to a lot of very ugly messages on Twitter focusing on Sebastien's Mexican heritage and telling this young American kid to "go home." This is when Sebastian did the other brave thing, and that was to rise above the negative comments, advising people with hatred in their hearts that, "They should think before they say things." Two days later, the Spurs invited him back to sing the anthem before Game 4, and he did with even more heart and spirit than the first time. The hatred came about because some people focused on the image and not the person, and it reminded me of the attitude that some communities still have about pit bulls. People look at the breed and not the species, then attribute all sorts of negative behaviors to the entire breed -- pit bulls are vicious, they can't be trusted around children, every pit bull bites eventually, and so on. What they should really be saying is some dogs are vicious, some dogs can't be trusted, some dogs bite eventually -- and that most dogs are not dangerous at all. The important point is that canine bad behavior does not come from their breed. It comes from how they have been treated and trained. If a dog is abused or neglected, or trained to be aggressive, then it doesn't matter if it's a pit bull or a Chihuahua, purebred or mutt. When I teach people how to assess a dog's energy and behavior, one of the things that surprises them is how many dogs that are instantly classified as aggressive are not. That dog pacing around the kennel is probably just anxious or bored, and the one that barks or jumps on the bars when people come by probably is over-excited and has too much energy. Now, when it's some cute little dog, people can see the difference more easily. But when it's a pit bull or one of the other "dangerous" breeds -- like Rottweiler, Doberman pinscher, or German shepherd -- a lot of people seem to have a hard time seeing beyond the breed and actually looking at the dog. This can lead to many tragic situations, like the incident in Hawthorne, California earlier this year in which a police officer shot and killed a Rottweiler. I can't help but wonder whether that dog would still be alive if it were a Maltese or a dachshund or any other breed not generally stereotyped as vicious. I don't think I need to mention that dogs are not the only living things being shot and killed when people make the mistake of seeing the "breed" and not the "species." I know from Sebastien's story -- and my own -- that some people can be all too quick to wound with words or worse when they only see things like a mariachi outfit and not the human being inside of it. So we wind up in a situation where our animal shelters are overflowing with pit bulls more than any other breed, and where entire communities are passing Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) to ban pit bulls and have them killed if they are found living there, and we see the reflection of that in the way people treat each other. One of my favorite quotes from Mahatma Gandhi is this: "You can judge the morality of a nation by the way the society treats its animals." We may have eliminated the human equivalent of BSL, but we still have people who act like we haven't. But we also have a young hero, Sebastien de la Cruz, who did not let insults and hatred deter him from his dream one bit. As we watched Facebook roll over to 3 million followers, it was a nice reminder that each of those "Likes" represents a unique human being, and that there are 7 billion unique human beings on the planet. It should also be a reminder that every single one of those 7 billion -- of us -- is interesting because of our differences, and it shouldn't be any other way. Stay calm and assertive. Scarlett Johansson Shows Her Curves At Venice Film Festival

Jaws surely dropped when Scarlett Johansson hit the red carpet at the Venice International Film Festival Tuesday. Johansson looked gorgeous in a curve-hugging, off-the-shoulder Versace gown that conjured up feelings of Old Hollywood glamour. She topped the look off with a Bulgari High statement necklace and upswept hair. The 28-year-old stunner arrived at Palazzo del Cinema on Sept. 3 for the premiere of Jonathan Glazer's sci-fi drama, "Under the Skin." The film is about an alien posing as a human named Laura (Johansson) who entraps men in Scotland using her seductive wiles. "It’s hard to give a kind of warm-up line for the story because it’s almost like giving the plotline of a Bergman film, but I’m playing a character called Laura, who is an it that becomes a she," Johansson previously explained during an interview for Interview magazine. "That’s what the story’s about -- it’s about that transformation... It basically has no written dialogue, and I don’t think it’s really character-driven. Jon is an incredible visionary, and in the place I’m in right now, it feels really fresh. It might be an impossible project... [laughs] We’ll see." The blond beauty said that to become the alien character she had to abandon "these very human instincts that we have, protecting ourselves and wanting to protect one another," per the Associated Press. On Tuesday afternoon, fans waited for hours to see Johansson at a press junket for the flick. She smiled for photos and gave out autographs after arriving via water taxi. scarlett johansson scarlett johansson

Ziva David (and her portrayer, Cote de Pablo) may be leaving "NCIS" in Season 11, but fans can rest assured that her final episodes will be "immensely satisfying," according to Michael Weatherly. In an interview with TVLine, Weatherly opened up about losing his co-star -- and character Tony DiNozzo's longtime love interest -- admitting that he was "very surprised by the things I read in [the first two] scripts" for Season 11. He also expressed enthusiasm for the possibility of some resolution in Tony and Ziva's long-gestating romance: “I think that for DiNozzo and for me as an actor, that ‘holding pattern’ has been incredibly fun to play -- I love working with Cote, she’s awesome -- but also it’s been eight years, and we haven’t dealt with it. It will be dealt with,” he promised. The actor also enthused that Tony's storyline following Ziva's departure is “the most exciting thing I’ve heard in a long time." CBS has already released a promo touting Ziva's goodbye with footage from Season 11, with Ziva tenderly reassuring Tony that she'll be OK, despite a threat against her life. Of her exit, de Pablo recently told Latina magazine, “It was not an easy decision, not one taken lightly. I feel like I am leaving my family. What I want to say most of all is thank you to the fans and to the people who have been so supportive of me and of the show, who have made the show the great success that it is." "NCIS" is casting a new female character named Bishop to draft into the team following Ziva's exit; she is described as "bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused and somewhat socially awkward. She has a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism. She’s traveled extensively, but only feels comfortable at home.” For more from Weatherly, click over to TVLine. "NCIS" Season 11 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

Aerosmith's 'Dude (Looks Like a Lady)': The Real Story

$

Several years ago I listened to an interview with Desmond Child, a massively successful songwriter you might not have heard of but whose music you've definitely heard. Desmond is gay and has been openly gay for a long time. He was describing working with Aerosmith on their hit "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)," and something really caught my attention (WARNING: this interview contains an offensive slur for transgender people):
Desmond: ...Because of my success with Bon Jovi, John Kalodner -- the famous John Kalodner, legendary A&R man -- asked me if I would go up to Boston and meet Aerosmith. They had never written with an outside writer, and they were not happy to see me. They were going along with it to please John Kalodner, but they were not that happy about it.

Steven (Tyler) was much more friendly, as he is, and was very generous, really, and showed me a song that they had started called "Cruisin' for the Ladies." I listened to that lyric, and I said, "You know what, that's a very boring title." And they looked at me like, "How dare you?" And then Steven volunteered, sheepishly, and said that when he first wrote the melody he was singing "Dude Looks like a Lady." It was kind of a tongue twister that sounded more like scatting. He got the idea because they had gone to a bar and had seen a girl at the end of the bar with ginormous blonde rock hair, and the girl turned around and it ended up being Vince Neil from Motley Crue. So then they started making fun of him and started saying, "That dude looks like a lady, dude looks like a lady, dude looks like a lady." So that's how that was born. That's the true story of how that was born.

So I grabbed onto that and I said, "No, that's the title of the song." And they looked at me like, "Are you kidding me?" And then Joe (Perry) stepped in and said, "I don't want to insult the gay community." I said, "Okay, I'm gay, and I'm not insulted. Let's write this song." So I talked them into the whole scenario of a guy that walks into a strip joint and falls in love with the stripper on stage, goes backstage and finds out it's a guy. But besides that, he's gonna go with it. He says, "My funky lady, I like it, like it, like it like that." And so he doesn't run out of there, he stays. It's funny, because they used that song in Mrs. Doubtfire, and then it was like every four or five year old child in America was able to sing that song. It was like; do you realize this is about a tranny? (Laughing).

If you think about how far back that was, it was a very daring song to sing, and everyone went with it. It's not like the polarized society we have now, because that was before gay people really started fighting for their rights and nobody cared about it and everyone thought that they could make fun of us. So they accepted the lyric, and not only that, went for it. (Laughs) I don't know if anyone has looked deep enough into the song, but it's a very accepting song, and it has a moral that says never judge a book by its cover, or who you're going to love by your lover.

Songfacts: Have you ever talked to Vince Neil about this song?

Desmond: Oh yeah, I told him the story. He had a good laugh. He knows that. He knows that he's the one that was paid homage to in "Dude Looks Like a Lady."
The interview took place in 2011. The song was recorded in 1987. So Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Kiss, etc., were all working with an openly gay songwriter in the mid '80s. It really stuck with me that the band was concerned about not offending their gay audience. Or that they were aware of their gay audience. Or that they had a gay audience. Now, Child uses the term "tranny" in the interview, and I remember hearing that and thinking, "Man, did you have to go there?" I wouldn't say it destroys the interview, but it definitely makes me think less of him, because the story was funny without the slur. It wasn't necessary to establish any part of the story or his credibility. It was gratuitous, and I feel that it's important to point that out in this context, because it actually proves the point about Fox News that taking potshots at transgender folks is mean and demeaning and certainly undermines one's credibility. Fast-forward to Fox News' recent decision to use Aerosmith's song to denigrate Pfc. Chelsea Manning. As with most attempts to do this, the media got the song completely wrong: The song is not mocking a man for looking like a lady; it's describing the sex appeal of a transgender woman. It's the same old story: They've similarly misused songs by Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Tim McGraw, Maroon 5 and so forth. They don't listen to the lyrics. They don't think. They fall for a good hook, but instead of getting drawn into the music, their minds stop there. The members of Aerosmith were not out and avowed allies of the LGBTQ community in the 1980s. They were a rock group with a song co-written by an openly gay man and didn't want to offend anyone. In his 2011 memoir Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler described a sexual encounter he'd had with a man, writing, "Gay sex just doesn't do it for me. I tried it one time when I was younger, but I just didn't dig it." That's pretty straightforward. In the same book he went on to write that he preferred his female groupies to be freshly showered after a show. Sigh. Well, that's another post. "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" was not some great homage to the LGBTQ community, but it was something. It was risky, and the back story is interesting, and it proves (to me, at least) that conservative pundits at Fox News and other outlets underestimate the art of most modern musicians and misunderstand their values. That's something. Sadly, Aerosmith can't stop Fox News from abusing their song, but they can speak out, like Adam Levine did, and I hope that they do. Aerosmith isn't perfect, but Fox News got this whole song wrong. Just consider the lyrics:
Never judge a book by its cover,
Or who you gonna love by your lover.
Sayin' "love" put me wise to her love in disguise:
She had the body of a Venus; Lord, imagine my surprise!

That, that dude looks like a lady!
That, that dude looks like a lady!
That, that dude looks like a lady!
That, that dude looks like a lady!

Baby, let me follow you down. (Let me take a peek, dear.)
Baby, let me follow you down. (Do me, do me, do me all night.)
Baby, let me follow you down. (Turn the other cheek, dear.)
Baby, let me follow you down. (Do me, do me, do me, do me!)

Ooh, what a funky lady!
Ooh, she like it, like it, like it like that!
Ooh, he was a lady!
Two lessons to be learned: 1) Listen to the entire song and decide for yourself what it means (don't let Fox News decide for you!); and 2) we need more artists to "reclaim" their music by speaking out when it's abused, even when they don't have legal standing to stop it from being abused. It still matters that they distance themselves from any misunderstandings. As a caveat, perhaps Fox News and the tea party should stick with the musical repertoires of Ted Nugent, Kid Rock and Meat Loaf. Why not give some love to those who stand by you, right?

Rapper Wiz Khalifa has recruited some surprising collaborators for his upcoming fifth studio album. Born Cameron Jibril Thomaz, Wiz spoke about the project in a recent interview with Fuse TV, revealing that he recorded songs with two major female artists. "I've got songs with Miley," the rapper explained. "I've got songs with Adele." "I've got a lot of guest appearances that I've already done but none of them have been cleared for the album yet," Wiz added. Called "Blacc Hollywood," Wiz's album is hyped to hit stores later this year. The 25-year-old rapper, who released his last album, "O.N.I.F.C.," in 2012, has already dropped the first single off of the forthcoming project, "Look Into My Eyes." "Blacc Hollywood," which also features a collaboration with The Weeknd, is named as such because "it just represents the lifestyle," Wiz told Vibe in June. "Not really like ‘black people in Hollywood’ but just like a black attitude, not giving a [f--k] about anything. [It’s like] just really blacking out on the world. We bringing that to Hollywood.”

'Breaking Bad' Theories: Walter White Has Something In Common With Creator Vince Gilligan (PHOTOS)

"Breaking Bad" has sparked quite a few incredibly detailed fan theories that are fascinating and make it very easy to get carried away dissecting the insane detail on the show. But nobody is really talking about one big, black-framed elephant in the room: The similarities between Walter White and the show's creator Vince Gilligan. No, we're not implying that Gilligan is a meth-making, murderous, criminal mastermind, but the creator and his now-legendary TV creation have one very interesting thing in common. Stay with us! As the fifth and final season is coming to a close (Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC), one theory is really standing out to us: The Hunter-Gatherer theory. Based on the idea that Walter White (Bryan Cranston) has picked up habits, traits and physical mementos from those who have fallen at his hands in his evolution from Mr. Chips to Scarface, the theory leaves fans with a lot of questions about how it'll all end. Walt cuts crusts off his sandwiches, much like Krazy 8 had him do before he choked him to death. Walt has started ordering cocktails on the rocks, as Mike (Jonathan Banks) did before him. Walt even reached for a hand towel to fold up and kneel on while throwing up in his toilet thanks to the latest round of chemo ... and who doesn't remember meticulous Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) doing the same before vomiting up the poison that he'd used to kill the Mexican cartel? Now in flash-forward scenes this season, Walt is bearded with a full head of scruffy hair -- and he's on a mission. People have pointed out that he's using his wife Skyler's (Anna Gunn) maiden name as an alias, and that he wrote his age out with bacon on his birthday, like she's always done for him. And, if you want to get nitpicky, he was seen eating breakfast, which has always been Walt Jr.'s (RJ Mitte) meal of choice. Eagle-eyed fans also noted that Walt is wearing an old army jacket that looks quite a bit like one Jesse (Aaron Paul) used to wear. For those who believe this theory, that means that between now and when we catch up to "Future Walt" time, Walt will kill both Skyler and Jesse, and possibly Walt Jr. (sorry, Flynn), too. But whose black-framed glasses is Walt wearing in the future jumps? We've been waiting to meet a new hipster drug dealer, a bespectacled associate of Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), any four-eyed felonious character who might get in Walt's way. In all that waiting, something hit us: Walt's eyewear evolution might not be part of this theory. It might just be creator Vince Gilligan's way of nodding to his own transformation, from TV writer and producer to one of the most sought-after showrunners in the business -- with the new eyewear to match. Or maybe it's his Alfred Hitchcock moment, but instead of making a cameo himself, he had his glasses do the dirty work. Or maybe Walt's old signature specs were just broken in a horrible beat-down and he bought a new pair, plain and simple. Either way, you can't deny that the before-and-after shots of Walter White and Vince Gilligan here are kind of eerie, both going from wire frames to chunky rims. There are still four episodes left in the series, so if someone with similar glasses gets in Walt's way between now and then, all bets are off (translation: expect for them to have a bad end), but if not ... do you think this was Gilligan's way of immortalizing his place in TV history? Tell us: Which "Breaking Bad" theories do you buy into? How do you think it'll end?

Alyssa Milano Talks About Her Bedtime Routine And More For HuffPost's #nofilter

These days, our knowledge of celebrities too often originates with paparazzi images and snarky quotes by anonymous "insiders." After a while, it's easy to forget that stars are real people. That's why HuffPost Celebrity decided to launch its all-new #nofilter quick-fire question-and-answer series. Because how well do you know someone until they've shared their guiltiest pleasures? Alyssa Milano works hard, so when it comes to bedtime, the busy mom and full-time actress is ready for a night of slumber. That's why she teamed up with Febreze to help launch the new Sleep Serenity collection, the brand’s first line of scents specifically designed for the bedroom. The "Mistresses" star has been in the business for over 30 years -- "Who's The Boss?" anyone?! -- and knows what it takes to bring your A-game to set every single day. Not to mention she has a 2-year-old son to chase after! Milano chatted with HuffPost Celebrity about her nighttime routine, her secret quirks, motherhood and much more. Why did you want to be involved with Febreze's new Sleep Serenity collection? I really love the product. It is a line of scents that is used specifically for the bedroom. And [in the International poll conducted by the National Sleep Foundation in partnership with Febreze] 74 percent of people said they fell asleep more quickly because they felt more relaxed when their bedrooms had a pleasant scent. And I can attest to this because after I had my baby and I went back to work on “Mistresses,” I was really just taken by the fact that every sleep expert that I spoke to about trying to get my baby to sleep through the night said how important a bedtime routine is for the baby. And it just may be that as adults, we have not made time for ourselves in that same way anymore. So I really started to try to pay more attention to my own sleep habits and I just really think that the product really puts you in a place of comfort and allows you to sleep better. How many hours of sleep do you try to get? Oy. I can say that I function best with eight hours of sleep per night, but I doubt that I’m getting that. What do you wear to bed? Well, my favorite are a pair of pajamas that were my dad’s that he gave me when I was eight months pregnant with my son because none of my pajamas fit me anymore. Yeah, so I wear his pajamas a lot, but I like pajama sets. I’m not big on nightgowns because I feel like you can get tangled up in those. And I don’t love to sleep with anything on my arms, so I like to sleep with sleeveless pajama sets. And are you a granny-panty culprit? Uh, sometimes. [laughs] I mean, not necessarily granny panties, but I don’t sleep with a thong up my butt, that's for sure. What's something you do when you're alone that you don't do in front of anyone else? I obsess over my skin in one of those magnifying mirrors. I hate it. What's your guilty pleasure? I don’t really feel guilty about this, but I do need to have some dark chocolate every night before I go to sleep. How do you balance work and motherhood? That is a learning process that I am continuing to try and figure out. There are no tips that I can give because every day is something different, you know? It’s a very hard balance for sure. But I do find that the most important thing in being a working mother is to just try, no matter how hard it is to find time for yourself and to do the things that make you happy. And do whatever it takes to help yourself relax. Can you name one experience when you struggled to balance it all? Oh, every day is a struggle. Every day is a struggle.

Cher Produces Video Backing Ecuadorian Villagers In $19 Billion Fight With Chevron

Cher is not happy with Chevron. The singer and actor has taken up the cause of Ecuadorian villagers who're pursuing the gas company for damages they have been awarded for the destruction of their land in the course of exploration and extraction of oil. Bloomberg Businessweek sums up the case at issue:
In the 1970s and ’80s, Texaco pumped crude in the rainforest in northeastern Ecuador, producing profits for itself, much larger profits for the Ecuadorian government, and an ecological fiasco in the formerly pristine jungle. In 1993, Donziger and other American plaintiffs’ attorneys filed suit in New York on behalf of Ecuadorian Indians and farmers living near the oil operations. Texaco fought for nine years to get the case moved to Ecuador, whose judicial system the company insisted was perfectly capable of resolving the dispute. In a textbook illustration of the ancient jurisprudential principle of Be Careful What You Wish For, Texaco won the venue fight and ended up in a provincial Amazonian courthouse. There, Donziger’s penchant for guerrilla legal warfare gave him an advantage. In 2001, Chevron acquired Texaco and inherited Donziger as a foe. Forced to address the merits in the Ecuadorian trial court, Chevron argued that Texaco had mopped up some of the waste oil; the Ecuadorian national oil company, Petroecuador, was actually responsible for any pollution that remained; and Donziger manufactured bogus evidence of contamination and human illness. The Ecuadorian judiciary sided with Donziger—to the tune of $18.2 billion (since bumped up to $19 billion). Chevron, which doesn’t have assets to speak of in Ecuador, immediately vowed never to pay Donziger’s clients a dime.
The New York Times previously profiled the attorney representing the villagers, whom Chevron has since turned the tables on, accusing of fraud. “It is unfortunate that well-intentioned people are being misled about the fraud in Ecuador," Morgan Crinklaw, a Chevron spokesperson, told HuffPost. "The facts of the matter are well established and compelling: The plaintiffs’ lawyers’ own scientific experts have admitted that the case against Chevron in Ecuador based on fabricated evidence, which is why the lawyers resorted to fraud and extortion.”
