Rebecca Hall is set to have a pretty great birthday. The British actress turns 31 on May 3, the same day her biggest movie ever, a little something called "Iron Man 3," arrives in U.S. theaters. The blockbuster has already earned almost $200 million worldwide, giving Hall her biggest audience ever.

Hall, fortunately, isn't the only actor poised to reap the rewards of a breakout summer film. From "Star Trek" villain Benedict Cumberbatch to festival favorite Michael B. Jordan to the perpetually awkward Aubrey Plaza, the next Channing Tatums and Rebel Wilsons will be all over theaters this summer.

Ahead, HuffPost Entertainment presents 17 actors with the biggest chance of breaking out between now and Labor Day.

'To Be Proud Of Something Is A New Feeling'

Despite playing Dan Humphrey for six seasons on "Gossip Girl," Penn Badgley doesn't exactly feel a kinship with his character, who turned out to be the elusive Gossip Girl her(him?)self.

In an interview with Salon in which Badgley talked about his upcoming film "Greetings From Tim Buckley," he took a not-so-subtle dig at the CW series.

“To be proud of something is a really nice feeling. And it’s a new feeling, and it’s something that I wanna keep going with. I can walk a little taller feeling that I don’t have to be constantly apologizing for the work that I’ve done in the past," he said.

Just last week, Badgley was on HuffPost Live discussing the big "Gossip Girl" reveal ... and admitted that he was pretty surprised that he ended being the face behind the name.

"It technically doesn't make sense for anyone to be Gossip Girl. I would have loved it if there had been a million flashes of every time he had looked at his cell phone and was like receiving some blast from Gossip Girl and being blown away from it," he said, adding, "All those times that he was alone, that was him acting. So that means he was completely schizophrenic and transgender."

"Greetings From Tim Buckley" hits theaters in July 2013.

So Long, Caleb!

"Pretty Little Liars" star Tyler Blackburn is leaving the ABC Family hit for its spinoff "Ravenswood."

Blackburn's "Pretty Little Liars" character, reformed bad boy Caleb Rivers, will join the upcoming series in the "Pretty Little Liars" mid-season Halloween special this October, which will be used to introduce Ravenswood and its inhabitants and launch the new series.

Blackburn tweeted about his move to fans:

"Ravenswood" takes place in the titular town near the "Liars‘" hometown of Rosewood, PA, and revolves around five strangers who are connected by a deadly curse that has plagued Ravenswood for generations. Blackburn will appear in every episode of the upcoming fourth season of "Pretty Little Liars" before segueing to Ravenswood in October.

Blackburn's character Caleb has long been linked to "Pretty Little Liar" Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) so this move cannot be a good sign for one of fans' favorite couples. Caleb and Hanna's (or "Haleb" as viewers call them) relationship was a bit strained in Season 3, as he continued to hunt for the elusive "A" despite Hanna's wishes and Hanna pushed him to have a relationship with his estranged father.

"Pretty Little Liars" Season 4 premieres on Tuesday, June 11 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.

'Idol' Falls To Third Place In Reality Ratings War

NEW YORK — Television's champion for nearly a decade, Fox's "American Idol," now isn't even the most popular competition show on the air.

Both editions of "The Voice" on NBC and "Dancing With the Stars" on ABC had larger audiences than "Idol" last week, the Nielsen Co. said. "Idol" has been the most popular entertainment program in prime time for nine years running and appears likely to lose that perch this season.

"The Voice" had 14.2 million viewers last Monday and 12.8 million on Tuesday, Nielsen said. Its showing was more impressive among the 19- to 49-year-old viewers that NBC most actively seeks; the shows ranked No. 1 and 3 on that measurement last week.

"American Idol" had 12.5 million viewers on Wednesday and 11.4 million on Thursday, Nielsen said. Among the younger demographic, "Idol" outpaces "Dancing With the Stars."

The most popular show on television this season so far is CBS' "NCIS," and it was the same story last week: The drama led with 17.3 million viewers.

CBS won the week in prime time with an average of 8.7 million viewers (5.6 rating, 9 share). ABC had 6.4 million viewers (4.2, 7), Fox had 6.1 million (3.7, 6), NBC had 5.1 million (3.3, 5), the CW had 1.4 million (0.9, 1) and ION Television had 1.1 million (0.8, 1).

Among the Spanish-language networks, Univision led with a 3.4 million viewership average (1.8, 3). Telemundo had 1.5 million (0.8, 1), UniMas had 510,000 (0.3, 0), Estrella had 210,000 and Azteca 90,000 (both 0.1, 0).

NBC's "Nightly News" topped the evening newscasts with an average of 8.1 million viewers (5.6, 11). ABC's "World News" was second with 7.5 million (5.2, 11) and the "CBS Evening News" had 6.4 million viewers (3.9, 8).

A ratings point represents 1,147,000 households, or 1 percent of the nation's estimated 114.7 million TV homes. The share is the percentage of in-use televisions tuned to a given show.

For the week of April 22-28, the top 10 shows, their networks and viewerships: "NCIS," CBS, 17.33 million; "The Big Bang Theory," CBS, 15.1 million; "NCIS: Los Angeles," CBS, 14.22 million; "The Voice" (Monday), NBC, 14.15 million; "Dancing with the Stars," ABC, 13.77 million; "Person of Interest," CBS, 13.22 million; "The Voice" (Tuesday), NBC, 12.78 million; "Dancing With the Stars Results," ABC, 12.65 million; "American Idol" (Wednesday), Fox, 12.46 million; and "Castle" ABC, 11.76 million.

Will Jason Ritter And Ray Romano Be Back For 'Parenthood' Season 5?

$

0

Now that NBC has renewed "Parenthood" for Season 5, fans can start speculating about what the next chapter might hold for our beloved Braverman clan.

Star Lauren Graham stopped by HuffPost Live to discuss her new book on April 30, but naturally, her character's tumultuous love life came up too, since Sarah was involved with both her sweet younger fiance Mark (Jason Ritter) and her curmudgeonly employer Hank (Ray Romano) last season.

Asked who she thinks Sarah should end up with, Graham laughed and said, "Well, we don't have either of them for next season, so I might have to go back to Billy Baldwin."

But panic not, "Parenthood" fans -- we reached out to NBC for comment on that potential bombshell, and a spokesperson for the network said that at this stage, the producers don't know exactly what's in store for next season yet, and that since Jason Ritter has a pilot in contention at Fox (co-starring Graham's former on-screen daughter Alexis Bledel, no less), that will dictate his availability for the next season of "Parenthood."

It's possible that Graham meant that, since the Season 4 finale saw Sarah end things with both Mark and Hank (with the latter leaving town to be with his daughter), she isn't counting on either of them being around next year. Still, if Ritter's "Friends and Family" pilot isn't picked up, we can't help but cross our fingers for a Sarah and Mark reunion.

At the show's recent PaleyFest event, Graham did express hope for both of Sarah's suitors. "I felt that the finale left it open. Sarah made a choice and then Ray Romano’s like, ‘I’m moving to Minnesota,’ so to me there was a lot of energy in both areas, so I didn’t view it as ‘I chose one or the other’ necessarily because it wasn’t going to work out. It could still go anywhere," she pointed out. "It didn’t feel like, ‘Here’s where we’re going to go next season!’ It’s hard because I really enjoyed working with Ray, and Jason has been part of this family for the whole time, so every year it’s been hard to imagine the possibility of saying goodbye to him."

Ritter also told The Huffington Post that he'd love to return. "Obviously [Jason Katims and I] love working with each other and we did a pilot together last season and so, it just depends on so many circumstances," he said on the Paley red carpet. "I think if was up to Jason and me we’d be like, 'Yeah!' But even if my show got picked up, if everyone cooperated, I would be able to do a couple [episodes]. So I hope so, I would love that."

During her visit to HuffPost Live, Graham also voiced her relief at the Season 5 renewal. "In this TV landscape, to have a show in its fifth season and then get 22 [episodes] -- because we've been doing shorter seasons -- feels very positive," she admitted, noting that the business has changed considerably since "Gilmore Girls" was on the air.

"The ratings alone ... when I first started and there were shows like 'Friends' on. There's no show -- or maybe there's one -- that does that kind of number anymore. And the numbers we used to do on 'Gilmore Girls' that were considered small then would now be a big hit," she pointed out. "We didn't have this much reality television -- it doesn't stop. It's taking so many slots that might be scripted TV. Some of it's really entertaining, and it's a bummer for actors."

"Parenthood" will return to NBC in the fall. Graham's book, "Someday, Someday, Maybe" is out now.

Do you think Sarah should end up with Mark, Hank or neither when "Parenthood" returns? Sound off below!

Amanda Bynes Posts Bra Pics & Tweets About Alarming Weight Loss Goals

Earlier this month, Amanda Bynes confirmed our long-held suspicions that she is struggling with an eating disorder, and new photos of the troubled actress have us even more concerned about her mental and physical wellbeing.

On Tuesday, the 27-year-old posted photos of herself in nothing but a lacy black bra and black leggings, and wrote that she "needs" to lose 35 pounds.

It's not the first time Bynes has talked about her alarming weight loss goals. Back in February, the former "What I Like About You" star told Us Weekly that she weighed 121 pounds, but her goal was to get down to 100 pounds.

It's clear that Bynes doesn't "need" to lose any weight at all, and at 5'8, her goal weight would give her a Body Mass Index of 15.2, which would classify her as dangerously underweight.

While Bynes has been open about the fact she suffers from an eating disorder, it's not clear if she has sought any treatment for her illness.

A Fan Favorite Gets The Boot On 'DWTS'

The "DWTS" results are in and Andy Dick is going home.

Though the "DWTS" results weren't surprising, the elimination was certainly one of the saddest of Season 16. Andy, a surprising fan favorite, has been at the bottom of the leaderboard throughout the competition, but his determination and enthusiasm in every dance has kept him in the running.

"It's been the best," a choked-up Andy said when the "DWTS" results came in, as he stood next his first-time pro Sharna Burgess. "Carrie Ann I'm going to kill you for the 5. It's all your fault," he joked, adding, "The fact that we are here in Week 7 is amazing ... It's been a wonderful, wonderful ride."

After "Idol" alumna Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough brought in the highest score of the evening, they earned immunity, while the six remaining "DWTS" contestants had to dance-off against one another for a potential three-point addition to their judges score.

Disney star Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy won the dance-off against Super Bowl champ Jacoby Jones and his partner Karina Smirnoff, which didn't bode well for the NFL-er: He surprisingly wound up in jeopardy, while Zendaya was safe. Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman and her pro Mark Ballas -- who earned the encore dance for their "fun, fierce, fabulous" salsa -- were also safe, while soap star Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson were in the Bottom 3. Then, the "DWTS" results came down to "Bachelor" Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd and Andy and Sharna, who wound up going home.

As for the rest of the entertainment during the "DWTS" results show, Michael Buble performed his hit "Come Dance With Me"; Tawanda Jones and her Camden Sophisticated Sisters drill team performed a Beyonce number; "So You Think You Can Dance" alumni Twitch and Allison Holker danced to YouTube sensation Lindsey Stirling's "Crystallize"; and Adrianne Haslet-Davis, a dancer who lost her foot in the Boston Marathon bombing, told her emotional story and vowed that one day, she'd perform in the "DWTS" ballroom.

What did you think of the "DWTS" results? Are you sad to see Andy go? Who do you think will win it all? Sound off in the comments.

"Dancing With The Stars" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Baratunde Thurston Puts His Many Talents To Use In New Web Series

Baratunde knows a thing or two about being an entrepreneur. The author and comedian has a history of both successful and failed ventures throughout his career, and it's that exact experience that's helping him as he takes on his latest project.

The How To Be Black author has teamed up with AOL for a web series named "Funded," which will document the success stories of small businesses that were crowdfunded.

"For me, this show is a long time in waiting," Thurston told The Huffington Post. "When you look at what makes these campaigns work, like why do people -- especially strangers -- give money. It's the story. It's the pitch. I think being able to tell this new story of how people are getting their ideas made, that's the future."

Crowdfunding is not a new concept to Thurston, who said he used to pass around a hat for donations during his comedy shows. It's also a tradition deeply rooted in the black community.

"Like many trends that have sort of become mainstream, we'll recognize it like 'Oh look, that's that thing we've been doing,'" he said. "It's got a fun new name, but the bypass of a major institution through community is something that we've experienced because we've had no other way."

Both Thurston's series and sentiments seem right on time, as several initiatives that aim to target the potential of crowdfunding to benefit minorities have come to fruition, such as BlackCrowdfunding.net.

Thurston said he hopes that common thread will attract all audiences and that the accessibility of the show on the web will draw viewers.

"We're gonna have fun, it's gonna be a fun watch," he said. "I'll be really curious to see who connects with it."

What Former Kardashian Nanny's Book Doesn't Say

$

0

Contrary to reports, anyone looking for dirt on the Kardashians won't find it in a new book penned by the family's former nanny.

Pam Behan took on the task of caring for Kourtney, then 12, Kim, 10, Khloe, 6, and Rob, 4, on Bruce and Kris Jenner's wedding day in 1991. The small-town Minnesota girl cared for the Kardashian kids for five years and was also a personal assistant to Kris -- but she surprisingly has nothing bad to say about them in her new memoir, Malibu Nanny: The Adventures Of The Former Kardashian Nanny.

This should come as good news to the family, who initially believed the book was going to be a brutal take down.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Behan explained that she wanted to make sure she had the Kardashians' blessing and sent her manuscript to Kris to look over. Ultimately she heard back through her lawyer that Kris didn't care if she wrote about them. Behan took that as enough of a blessing to publish the book.

There are those who will view Behan as self-serving, but she maintains that she would have written the book even if the Kardashian family had not shot to fame in recent years.

"People told me for years that I should write a book, and I decided I was going to do it by taking the high road -- no bashing, no tell-all, nothing negative," she said.

The former nanny, who now works three jobs to support her 6-year-old son, also wanted to clear up an incident that made her appear self-promoting. Behan says she split with her publicist, Jonathan Hay, after he released an old photo that Behan had in her possession of Kim Kardashian and Kim's first boyfriend, T.J. Jackson, right after Kim had admitted that she lost her virginity at age 14.

"Kim didn't announce to the world who she had sex with, but then came this picture that came from Pam. I did not want it out there. [My publicist] put it out there -- hence former publicist," she explained.

Behan said she never signed a confidentiality agreement with Kardashians, but she was contacted by their lawyers after the photo was released. She said that in turn led to Hay attempting to create more buzz around Behan's book by claiming Behan was going to release the agreement.

"I had nothing to do with any of that," she said. "I've never betrayed the family in any kind of way."

According to Behan, the Kardashians never threatened her with litigation, but there were things she was asked to leave out.

When a shorter version of the book was released online last June, the single most "scandalous" story -- if you can even call it that -- involved Kris freaking out and letting out a "torrent of expletives" after Behan forgot to buy broccoli when she was tasked with grocery shopping for the family. Kris didn't like the way she was depicted, Behan said, and so a toned-down version of the incident appears in the print version of the book.

"Kris wasn't crazy about that story, but I said to her, 'Kris, I can't make everything just flowery like there was nothing ever a problem in five years. And that is your personality,'" Behan explained.

All in all, Behan paints Kris as a demanding yet generous boss who doesn't mince words -- but that's hardly a bad thing. She even writes in the book that Kris's "'no excuses' attitude contributed to the fame and success she has achieved for herself and her family."

When asked if she thinks Kris was hungry for fame, Behan chooses her worlds carefully, admitting that yes, it appeared that way because of where they lived and because many of their friends were famous.

Kris has long been accused of pimping out her family, and Behan does admit that she thinks Kris "has wanted the fame for her kids more than they want it themselves." But Behan believes it's the momager's way of ensuring her children are able to maintain the very privileged lifestyle they grew up with.

As for the Kardashian kids, Behan says that while they were spoiled, they were never bratty or rude; they were simply children growing up in Beverly Hills. And for those wondering, Behan said the family dynamics today are just as they were back then: Kim has always been the center of attention.

"She was always the pretty one, and I don't mean this in a bad or negative way, but she was always kind of the princess," Behan said. "She just always was. It was her nature, it was her way."

Some things never change.

Allison Williams Rocks Spandex, No Makeup

Allison Williams showed off her fit figure on the set of "Girls" today (May 1).

The actress donned bright purple spandex and a clingy zip-up as she filmed scenes in Chinatown, NYC, flaunting her toned assets while "pretend" jogging.

Not to mention Williams seemingly went makeup-free, proving that she's equally as beautiful barefaced.

"I love trying new beauty and skincare products," Williams recently told Stylelist. "At work, I don't have a lot of control over what is applied to my face in the make-up chair. I am always interested to see what my make-up artist uses, but when I cleanse my skin at the start and end of every day, I want to be sure I'm using products that only contain skin-loving ingredients and do not contain anything that could be potentially harmful to my skin."

No wonder she looks flawless.

PHOTOS: You Can Live Like Ol' Blue Eyes

Palm Springs, California has been a playground for the stars since the 1920s. Celebrities like Lauren Bacall, Humphrey Bogart, Elvis Presley and Ol' Blue Eyes himself would head there to get out of the Los Angeles heat. Now, according to Estately, Frank Sinatra's house, located overlooking the resort town in nearby Mountain Center, C.A., is on the market for $3,995,000.

Realtor.com reports that "Villa Maggio" was designed by architect Ross Patton in 1967 and it appears that its mid-century appeal has been preserved, down to the wood paneling and retro wallpaper. The 6,400-square-foot home has a total of seven bedrooms between the main house and the adjacent guest suite. Also on the property are a sauna and pool house, a stunning pool-and-patio area, a lighted tennis court and a private helipad. If all of this wouldn't entertain the rat pack, we don't know what would.

Click through the photos of Frank Sinatra's home, and check out the listing for all of the details.

Marc Anthony Is Back With Hot New Single

Puerto Rican Salsa sensation Marc Anthony marked his return to music when he premiered his new song, “Vivir Mi Vida”, at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami. Anthony took the stage to a standing ovation for the performance of the title track of his long-awaited, original album. He not only stole the show with an amazing performance, but also stole the limelight during his duet with Tito El Bambino for “¿Porque Les Mientes?”

The question on everyone’s mind that night was “what took so long?” Why did it take nearly 10 years for the Puerto Rican singer to release an album of original songs?

“I needed to miss it,” admitted Anthony to the hosts of NBC’s “Today Show” the day before the awards show. He certainly had plenty of other endeavors to occupy his time to help him miss it.

There was his leading role in the film “El Cantante,” a biopic about legendary Puerto Rican salsa singer Hector Lavoe in 2007. The album’s soundtrack featured Anthony performing many of Lavoe’s classic tracks. He also appeared in two episodes of TNT medical drama “HawthoRNe” in 2010 and worked on “Q’Viva! The Chosen,” a reality TV show, with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez and choreographer Jamie King.

He also released a greatest hits album, “Sigo Siendo Yo“, in 2006 and “Iconos“, a tribute album featuring classic songs from artists such as Juan Gabriel and Jose Jose plus two previously unreleased originals from Anthony. He followed that up with a new single, “Cautivo De Este Amor”, which was used as the theme song for the Argentinian telenovela “Lobo”.

“I almost feel bad that I enjoyed the process so much,” he said on NBC. “Part of my process is to choose songs and live with them.” Clearly, he is comfortable with the number of new songs he’s composed with the assistance of longtime collaborator Sergio George after having lived with them for so long.

“I recorded it at the right time,” he added. “I enjoyed this process more than any other album I’ve ever recorded.”

“Vivir Mi Vida” is scheduled for release this July. In four days since the song was posted on YouTube, it has already had over 636,000 hits. Listen to Marc Anthony’s “Vivir Mi Vida“.

'Smash Became A Train Wreck'

In late January, I wrote a story about the musical drama Smash: what went wrong with its first season, and NBC's attempt to reboot it. Its creator, Theresa Rebeck, was a significant figure in the story; she was fired during the first season, and a new executive producer/showrunner, Joshua Safran, was hired to take the show in a new direction. Which failed: NBC moved Smash to Saturday nights, where it has been drawing lower and lower ratings. It is all but dead.

On Monday, I heard from Rebeck.
