'Glee': Santana Makes A Big Move

0
0

Santana made a huge decision this week on "Glee." She dropped by Lima to help motivate the glee club during "Diva Week," and while she was there she tried to fight for Brittany. Even though she had broken up with her former girlfriend, Santana couldn't stand the thought of her with Sam.

But it didn't work, as Brittany had truly moved on. More significantly, she knew that Santana needed to chase her dreams. She'd already dropped out of college, and was considering being Sue's protege. But the truth was that her heart wasn't in Lima, anymore.

It's a good thing that Kurt and Rachel have a big loft apartment in the Big Apple. Santana followed her heart to New York City and their doorstep.

"Santana. What are you doing here?" Kurt asked upon finding her at the door.

"Moving in," she replied.

Keep up with the twists and turns of "Glee" by tuning in every Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.

Erykah Badu: 'Everything Must Change'

0
0

originMusic Legend, vegan and Doula, Erykah Badu is one of the strongest women in the Industry. She gets real, raw and speaks openly about vulnerability and staying centered. The following is an excerpt from ORIGIN Magazine's February issue, currently on stands.

Interviewer: Maranda Pleasant, Editor of ORIGIN Magazine

(Scroll for photos.)

MP: What is it that makes you vulnerable?

EB: My art. Or the empty platform that my art will go on.

MP: What do you do with pain, emotional pain?

EB: Not one particular way. It depends on the severity of it. For the most part, I go with it. I let it happen.

MP: How do you keep your center? How do you stay grounded in the middle of chaos?

EB: I guess it’s the daily routine. I don’t have any particular thing I do ritualistically. I do the same thing every day. I get up. Drink a lot of water. Have a wheatgrass shot. Drink some green juice. Eat as healthy as I can. I’m not trying to win an award for being the best vegetarian, just want to be healthy. Take a salt bath. Do things that my parents were never able to do. I’m blessed to do anything I want so I decide to take the best care of my body and my family in the same way. Holistically. Vitally.

MP: How long have you been a vegetarian?

EB: Let’s see. I’m forty-one. I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 19. How many years is that?

MP: [laughing] That’s a long time.

EB: Yeah. I’ve been vegan-vegetarian for about the time my first album came out, so it was 1997. I eat like a vegan-vegetarian, more than anything.

erykah badu interview

MP: Do you have any wisdom or advice for women who may be in negative, unhealthy or abusive relationships? Do you have any wisdom for those women?

EB: Mm. I have advice for people—period—who are in unhealthy relationships: Follow your heart. It will get you to where you need to be. Sometimes it’s hard, sometimes it’s easy, the places that your heart takes you. But continue to follow it. Where the train leads you—you’ll get there.

MP: I had my daughter naturally at home, in our bathroom, with a doula. The doula was probably the most important person in that room with me. What led you to become a doula?

EB: Let me see. It was 9.11, actually. Around that time. One of my girlfriends was in labor, she happened to be the wife of stic.man from Dead Prez.

MP: He writes for [ORIGIN]!

EB: They’re my best friends, both of them, stic.man and Afya. I was actually flying from somewhere, doing something. On my layover, stic.man called me and told me Afya was in labor. I just redirected to New York, because we’re friends, and I just had Seven a couple years before. I just wanted to be there and we just all wanted to be together. I happened to be the person, one of the people, that stayed up with Afya. Didn’t sleep. Never got tired. I could feel every emotion that she had. It was just a very natural, intuitive experience. I just knew how to open myself up to the baby and be the welcoming committee. And now when Afya was in labor for fifty-two hours. Day and night. She’s my hero. And she finally had the baby and put my finger in his palm, and I kind of felt like, I like being the welcoming committee.

I just continued to be present at different people’s births, and I started studying on my own, different techniques, and the variables of what being a doula is about. I learned to originally be like water, in the place that I was, so that I could be a container for whatever they need. I love being of service in that way. I’m an official doula, and I am working to get my midwifery license right now.

erykah badu interview

MP: My midwife and my doula shaped my entire experience. It was beautiful. Have you had a homebirth?

EB: All my children were born in my bed. In my home. I had a midwife and doula each time.

MP: What has shifted for you, what is the thing about motherhood that flows through you? Is there something in you that is different, or that you have learned?

EB: I don’t know. I’ve got to think about that. I’ve never been asked that.

erykah badu interview

MP: You probably just live it. You’re not used to answering it, you just live it.

EB: I try to. Well, I just learn as I go. There’s no set way. I have a lot of faith in my abilities and in my children. I like them a lot, you know. They’re really good people, and I like them.

MP: What is one truth that you know for sure?

EB: Everything must change.

MP: Do you practice any kind of yoga or meditation?

EB: Breathing is my way of life. As a vocalist, just as a person who’s main focus is evolving, breathing—that’s my meditation. I enjoy yoga classes. I walk in meditation. I dance. I’m a ballerina. Modern jazz and tap. But I would love to get into a good yoga class if I can stay focused and breathe. I love the connection I have with myself every time I take a yoga class. It’s a very nice remembering, remembering the parts of me. You know what I mean?

But I walk and breathe in meditation. Another meditation I do: when I walk I count my steps, so I’m really in the here and right now. Another meditation I do is try to stay out of my mind as long as I can, as an exercise, so I don’t believe everything I think. I do many different things. Many different exercises that keep me focused.

Jenny McCarthy On Why Her Talk Show Deal With Oprah Fell Through

0
0

Jenny McCarthy and Oprah Winfrey had a great rapport for several years, with McCarthy appearing many times on Winfrey's syndicated show. McCarthy dropped by the clubhouse on "Watch What Happens: Live" where she talked about their relationship, and what happened with that syndicated talk show she was supposed to get.

"I had a development deal with Oprah for five years with Harpo ... and it was for syndication," McCarthy explained. "So when OWN happened, like in the last quarter of my contract, she wanted me to go to OWN."

But McCarthy wanted a syndicated show, so they agreed to shake hands and part ways. It was an amicable end to their professional relationship. Perhaps it's a good thing, too, because had Winfrey appeared on her show, McCarthy said the first question she would have asked was, "Is Steadman a beard?"

Nevertheless, McCarthy has finally landed her own talk show, though it isn't in syndication. "The Jenny McCarthy Show" premieres Friday night at 10:30 p.m. EST on VH1. "Watch What Happens: Live" airs Sunday through Thursday at 11 p.m. EST on Bravo.

'Project Runway': Design Dress For Heidi Klum

0
0

This week, the designers were given a task perhaps more intimidating than anything seen on "Project Runway" to date. They were asked to design a dress for Heidi Klum. Ben Mach was already feeling pressure after two back-to-back losses, and the additional stress caused a lot of emotional baggage from his past to come up.

He'd suffered a lot of emotional abuse in a relationship, leaving his sense of self-worth in tatters. "It’s taken a lot for me to build myself back up and to build up my confidence as a person, but to also build up my confidence as a designer," he said.

Unfortunately, the additional emotional turmoil only made his work suffer even more. His dress almost didn't make it to the runway at all, and when it did get there, it wasn't very well received.

"The worst construction I have ever seen," Nina Garcia said of the final product. Luckily, while Ben did find himself in the bottom three again, he managed to avoid elimination. Cindy Marlatt became the third person eliminated from the competition; all from the Dream Team.

See if they can get it together as "Project Runway" continues on Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime.

'The Vampire Diaries': Damon Doesn't Want The Cure

0
0

Now that they were getting closer to finding the cure for vampirism on "The Vampire Diaries," Damon's anxieties about Elena were coming to the forefront. He was terrified that her love for him might be entirely because of the sire bond. If that's the case, then as soon as she gets cured, she won't love him anymore.

Rather than face that possibility, he protected his emotions by pushing her away. He rejected Elena and the possibility of taking the cure himself -- though that latter may be genuine, as he's been a vampire for a long time and had a lot of fun with it.

"You know, I used to miss being human. Now I can’t think of anything more miserable on earth," he told Elena.

Back in Mystic Falls, Klaus showed some signs of humanity himself. Sure, he's one of the darkest characters the show has ever seen, but his feelings for Caroline seem to be genuine. After biting her and leaving her dying to try and teach Tyler a lesson, Tyler turned the tables on him.

He brought Caroline to the room Klaus was trapped in -- by a spell Bonnie cast last week -- and told him he could watch her die. It was a gamble that Klaus would not be willing to watch her die, but it was a gamble that paid off. Perhaps his one weakness has finally been found, and it's in the form of a perky, blonde vampire.

The quest for the cure continues on "The Vampire Diaries," Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.

WATCH: Iconic Grammy Moments

Whether it be Eminem and Elton John hugging it out on stage (what?), Lady Gaga arriving in a giant plastic egg-capsule (double what?) or Jennifer Lopez's down-to-there Versace dress, the Grammy Awards show has never failed to produce its fair share of "what the heck" moments.

In anticipation of the Grammys 2013 Sunday, we take a look back at the biggest scenes of years past. Watch the video above to take a refresher course in iconic Grammy moments.

Amy Winehouse's Producer Receives Grammy Nod

0
0

NEW YORK -- Salaam Remi has been producing music for more than 20 years, but he says he's not mad that he's just earning the top producer nomination at the Grammy Awards.

Remi, best known for producing for Amy Winehouse, Nas and the Fugees, is nominated for non-classical producer of the year at Sunday's ceremony.

"If I never produce another record again – this is, `OK, you've made it that far up the mountain, cool. Now you can really focus on other parts of your life,'" he said in a recent interview.

His musical resume heading to the Grammy voting period included Nas' critically acclaimed "Life is Good" album and Alicia Keys' R&B hit "Girl on Fire." He's also worked on latest albums from Miguel, Usher, Anthony Hamilton and Tamia.

Remi was named executive vice president of A&R and production at Sony Music Entertainment late last year. He says he's able to connect strongly with musicians because he challenges them when they are recording material.

"Part of my songwriting process is to push people to say, `What do you really mean?' ...What's the headline here?" he said. "Artists get sick of me sometimes."

Remi produced several tracks on Winehouse's favored debut, "Frank." He played a large role on her critically revered, Grammy-winning "Back to Black" album, which also featured producer Mark Ronson. Sunday's Grammys will mark the second year the British singer has been nominated for a Grammy since she died in 2011. She won best pop duo/group performance last year with Tony Bennett for "Body & Soul," and this year she's up for best rap/sung collaboration with Nas for the jam "Cherry Wine."

Remi produced the 2011 Winehouse compilation album "Lioness: Hidden Treasures," and he said fans shouldn't expect too much new music from the late singer.

"Not much," he said of her unreleased material.

He added that he released "Lioness" for his own personal sake.

"Honestly I think it was part of me maintaining my sanity, just from how I was feeling at that moment. I needed to get that out so that at the end of 2011 I was able to say, `Wow that was 2011.' Now in 2012, I'm in 2012. I can be here because that was 2011."

"I still miss her and look for her in my jokes," he added.

Remi's second nomination is for best R&B song for co-writing Tamia's "Beautiful Surprise." And albums by Miguel, Hamilton and Tamia – where Remi has produced several tracks – are competing in R&B album categories, though album's producers don't earn nominations there.

Remi says he's not willing to work with any musician, even if a lot of money is on the table.

"If I felt like it wasn't hitting me, you can offer me however much money you wanted to, it just wasn't going to happen," he said. "I've had the blessing of working with artists who make me step my game up."

Nas says Remi is "meticulous."

"He doesn't work with everybody, but the people who work with him, who really sit down with him, get great results. He really lives in the music," Nas said. "I think he's producing in his sleep. He's someone who really cares about the sound. He's really, really meticulous about everything that's in there, and it pays off because he really cares about what he's doing."

Remi's competition Sunday includes Markus Dravs (Mumford & Sons, Coldplay), Diplo (Usher, Santigold), Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys and fun. producer Jeff Bhasker, who also co-produced "Girl on Fire" with Remi.

"I think they did really big records this year," he said. "I try not to show up at a birthday party like it's my birthday; I'm just going to party."

The Grammys will air live from the Staples Center on CBS.

Jennifer Hudson Talks Weight Loss: 'Ok, Who Am I?'

Jennifer Hudson famously shed more than 80 pounds through a deal with Weight Watchers last fall, but the 31-year-old singer is still adjusting to her new size. Hudson covers the new issue of Weight Watchers magazine, where she tells the publication that she "got used to being plus-sized, whereas now it's like, 'Ok, who am I?' I keep thinking that I probably need an extra-large or a large, and the stylist is like, 'No, you need a medium or a small.' I'm still discovering myself, as well as how I'm perceived."

Hudson added that keeping a routine helped her maintain the weight loss. "Jogging makes me feel powerful and free! I like changing myself," and that, most importantly, her confidence wouldn't be identified by her weight. "I liked who I was before I lost weight, and I like who I am now," the former "American Idol" contestant shared.

Hudson showed off her svelte figure recently at the Super Bowl, when she accompanied the Sandy Hook Elementary School children's choir for an emotional performance of "America the Beautiful" in New Orleans. The Oscar-winner admitted that the experience was overwhelming. "Little children being survivors like that... that is the part that took me in," she said on the "Today" show Monday. "They are conquerors, they are survivors. And they're babies. So that was overwhelming."

'The Killing' Season 3 Cast Grows

0

"The Killing" cast for Season 3 is growing and the latest addition is Max Fowler, TVLine reports.

The up-and-coming actor -- who's appeared on BBC America's "The Hour" -- will play Twitch on "The Killing." According to The Hollywood Reporter, the character is "his own biggest fan," sexually fluid, and "has been in trouble with the law since he was 10, having been arrested for prostitution, drug possession, trespassing and the like, but he always charmed his way out of it."

The unexpected third season of "The Killing" -- considering the AMC drama was canceled just months earlier -- will pick up a year after the Season 2 ended and will debut in February, according to AMC. Season 3 will focus on a mystery that will be resolved over the course of the season, unlike the controversial case of "Who killed Rosie Larsen?" When the Season 1 finale of "The Killing" failed to reveal who killed Rosie, viewers fled the series in Season 2, hence its previous cancellation.

AMC previously reported that "The Killing" showrunner Veena Sud s well as former stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman will return for Season 3.

Eion Bailey will reappear on "Once Upon A Time." The actor, who plays August/Pinocchio and mysteriously disappeared earlier in Season 2, is set to return for the ABC drama's 18th episode, titled “Selfless, Brave and True." [Entertainment Weekly]

Another possible baddie is heading to "Arrow." Chin Han has joined the cast of the CW hit as Frank Chen, a successful businessman and longtime Queen family friend. Chen also has ties to the Well-Dressed Man's mysterious group The Undertaking. [Deadline]

"Masters of Sex" has a new addition. "Lovely Bones" actress Rose McIver will recur on the Showtime series, which stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as William Masters and Virginia Johnson, the real-life pioneers of the science of human sexuality. [The Hollywood Reporter]

More Musicals For Hathaway

0
0

BERLIN -- Anne Hathaway says she'd like to do more musicals after the Oscar-nominated "Les Miserables" – but don't expect her to launch into a singing career.

Director Tom Hooper on Saturday presented his movie, an adaptation of a Broadway musical based on Victor Hugo's novel, at the Berlin film festival.

Hathaway's role as an outcast mother reduced to prostitution has won her an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress.

She told reporters she hopes to do more musicals and would like more to be made – "I'm a big fan of them, so that would make me very happy both as an actress and as an audience member."

But Hathaway says the experience hasn't made her more comfortable singing in public. She says: "I have no plans for recording an album."

Rihanna, Chris Brown Attending Grammys Together?

0
0

It's been four years since Chris Brown and Rihanna failed to show up at the 2009 Grammys, following a domestic violence incident that Brown later pleaded guilty to. But the pair -- who have since reconciled and released a bluntly-titled duet together, "Nobodies Business" -- aren't letting that stop them from potentially alienating everyone and attending the 2013 Grammy Awards show together Sunday night.

A source told the website Hollywood Life that Rihanna was "looking forward to the Grammys and [she] will be with Chris the whole night, so you know that's going to be extra f*cking special. He already told her he would go with her, so it's a wrap."

And in a revealing interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Rihanna confirmed that she had taken her ex-boyfriend back into her life, saying that she was happier with him than without. "I decided it was more important for me to be happy," she said. "I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that. Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it."

While we'll have to wait and see if Rihanna, 24, and Brown, 23, do actually show up on the red carpet together for the first time since the 2009 assault, we do know that the "Diamonds" singer has already been standing by her man's side in court. Rihanna accompanied Brown to court Thursday, where he faced allegations that he failed to complete community service stemming from his plea bargain, and blew him a kiss from the front row.

'They Told Me I Could Never Tour Again'

0

Thousands of music fans trekked to New York's Madison Square Garden on Friday night, faces turned down against the snow and biting winds of a still-emerging storm that someone decided to call Nemo. They had come to see Passion Pit, an indie rock outfit from Boston, and many expressed surprise that the arena was nearly full. Either New Yorkers are too cynical to take the advice of Mayor Mike Bloomberg or too arrogant to let some flurries get in the way of seeing a show at The Garden.

Singer Michael Angelakos led the five-piece band through an engaging and, at times, emotional show -- which was more suited to the venue than the show Passion Pit put on at last year's Governors Ball. Passion Pit's songs generally focus on the same themes: Angelakos has spoken frankly about his battles with depression and bipolar disorder, and a sense of disillusionment and other-ness predominates the group's catalogue. At their best, the band blends this despair with moments of cathartic relief (often expressed in simple, chant-ready clauses like "take a walk, take a wake, take a walk" or "higher and higher and higher"). The result is a set that's not only fun but engaging to an unnerving degree.

Though bandmates Ian Hultquist, Xander Singh, Jeff Apruzzese and Nate Donmoyer are more than capable (and Passion Pit's intricate arrangements demand a lot of them), it was clear that the night was about Angelakos. Slightly hunched, he cuts an interesting figure, with shades of Mick Jagger but overtones of Jimmy Fallon. Opening with "I'll Be Alright" and working through "The Reeling," Angelakos bounced and gyrated around the stage. But by the second half of their set, the mood had taken a serious turn.

"Seven months ago they told me I could never tour again," Angelakos said. "And now we're here on stage at Madison Square Garden ... And I'm going to keep doing it. I don't know what to say. You think these things over about what to say and when you're in this position there's nothing to say. So thank you. We'll keep doing this as long as you keep coming."

The singer's reference to his mental health problems wasn't lost on the crowd, and it made for a smart seque into "Take a Walk," a dark song that finds a simple solution (the speaker reminds himself "that times could be much worse" and takes a walk, takes a walk, takes a walk).

Swedish DJ and production duo Icona Pop opened the show with a brief but fun set. Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt are endlessly charming, and though their live show certainly has room for improvement, they rose ably to the challenge of performing on a stage that's seen acts far above Icona Pop's pay grade (especially given that they spent the past week performing for bottle service crowds at New York nightclubs like Finale). Charli XCX, who is featured on a version of their breakout hit "I Love It" did not make an appearance.

After a short intermission, French Montana's "Pop That" started blaring from the speakers, a curious introduction for Brooklyn lovebirds Matt & Kim. I first saw the couple perform on tiny cafeteria stage at UCLA, where they stunned the crowd by being shockingly ... happy. Half a decade later, that stage at UCLA has been turned into a big screen TV and -- lo and behold -- Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino still serve up some cynicism-piercing joy.

"Before this [show], I told Kim, 'Girl, from Grand and Marcy to Madison Square,'" Johnson gleefully said. Between joking that she'd take her shirt off, telling us she was wearing a thong and offering up her rear for some of Johnson's slaps, Schifino seemed bent on focusing the audience on her sexuality, but perhaps when you offer up your relationship for the entertainment of others every evening (Johnson introduced her as "my partner in music and sex," it's fun to add a bit of a spark. Their inclusion of dance breaks (courtesy of 2 Chainz and Diplo tracks) was a smart way to make sure fans remembered their opening set.

Though having Matt & Kim open for Passion Pit makes great sense on a sonic level, it's a bit jarring to go from their sweet banter to the emotional complexity of the latter's work. After half a decade of songs bent on telling us that we're all loved (from Gaga's "Born This Way" gospel/cult of personality to Katy Perry's incessant reminder that we're a "Firework"), it's nothing short of fantastic to be reminded that not only will we not always be loved, we won't even always love ourselves. That message is now being told by Angelakos, fun.'s Nate Ruess and a host of other pop singers with integrity, but it has a rich history in pop.

"Billie Jean" is a song about Michael Jackson's all-consuming paranoia. Under the easy sexual metaphors of "Like a Prayer" lies Madonna's struggle to reconcile her religious upbringing with her sexuality. Motion City Soundtrack's Justin Pierre sang songs for teens about the horror of needing prescription pills to effect normalcy. Kanye West's earlier solo material saw the manic performer taking self-doubt and blending it with rap bravado to change hip-hop. James Murphy wrote three LCD Soundsystem albums about his discomfort with everything. That Passion Pit's "Gossamer" debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard charts was a victory for reality, whether or not radio listeners understood just how dark things were in Angelakos' mind.

Before the show, a number of writers and music fans wondered aloud about how Passion Pit was able to book the 18,000-person Garden. But by the concert's end on Friday, Angelakos had all but silenced such questions. They may not be Led Zeppelin (or even fun.), but they're still here, and they deserve to be.

Joe Biden Meets With Bradley Cooper, David O. Russell

0

For Bradley Cooper and David O. Russell, Oscar night may be the most important day of the year, but Feb. 7 might hit a close second. The "Silver Linings Playbook" actor and director met with Vice President Joe Biden at the White House on Thursday to discuss mental health issues.

Biden has led initiatives that focus on the issues surrounding mental health, especially in light of recent tragedies at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut and at the Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colo. "Silver Linings Playbook" connects to mental health issues as well. The film profiles a man (Cooper) who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and recently released from a mental hospital. As The Los Angeles Times reports, Biden told Cooper and Russell that "sometimes movies do what governments can’t."

Since the release of "Silver Linings Playbook" last November, Russell has been vocal about his own son's diagnosis with bipolar disorder, crediting his close experience as his reason for doing the movie. Robert De Niro, who stars in the film as Cooper's father, also recently spoke about his personal connection to bipolar disorder and the film; the Oscar-nominated star broke down on an episode of the Katie Couric talk show "Katie" when the issue was discussed. "Silver Linings Playbook" has largely been praised for its approach to mental health.

In addition to shining a light on mental illness, Russell and Cooper -- both Oscar nominees -- could help the standing of "Silver Linings Playbook" within the Academy as well. As Deadline.com's Pete Hammond noted, the Best Picture nominee is often light-hearted, and shifting the conversation to its more serious aspects could help "Silver Linings Playbook" gain traction within an awards body that doesn't often reward romantic comedies.

Snoop Smokes Weed During Panel

0
0

LOS ANGELES — Music fans who turned out to BMI's annual pre-Grammy Awards "How I Wrote That Song" discussion got a little more than they expected thanks to Snoop Dogg – a contact high.

The rapper smoked marijuana during Saturday's panel discussion, lighting up a large, Kush-filled blunt on stage at The Roxy. He briefly passed it off to B.o.B before methodically reducing it to ash over a 15-minute period. The panel also included Busta Rhymes and songwriters Luke Laird and Evan Bogart, all of whom abstained – at least on stage.

Fittingly, the conversation eventually turned to Snoop's groundbreaking work on "The Chronic."

Laird recalled growing up at the end of a dirt road 10 miles outside Conneaut Lake, a small town of 700 in rural Pennsylvania. Yet Snoop's work with Dr. Dre still infiltrated his world and that of all the other country kids around him.

"Let me just say, the album everyone was listening to was `The Chronic,'" Laird said, noting how surreal it was to be sitting on stage with Snoop.

With acoustic guitar in hand, he played a bit of his Blake Shelton hit "Hillbilly Bone" in its original form: a rap song. The Nashville-based songwriter had everyone bobbing their heads to the beat.

"Now I feel like more than ever you see these influences crossing genres," Laird said.

PHOTOS: Beyonce's Vogue March 2013 Cover Has Leaked!

It's here!

Beyoncé's Vogue March 2013 cover has arrived in all its leaked glory, coming on the heels of rumors that she'd landed the coveted March issue. This time the rumor mill was true: There she is, posing in Givenchy in a photo posted by Twitter account BeyonceLite.

The March cover, as we've noted before, makes perfect sense. As anyone occupying Planet Earth knows, Beyoncé recently pulled off a masterful performance at the Super Bowl halftime show and is set to debut her HBO documentary on February 16. 2013 is clearly Beyoncé's year, we're all just living in it.

Appropriately, the Vogue cover headline reads "Beyoncé Rules The World," which is the most accurate thing we've read today. Or ever. Check out the leaked pics via Twitter below. Are you digging Bey's Vogue cover?

Alleged Scuffle With Paparazzi Leaves Chris Brown's Car 'Totalled'

An alleged run-in with members of the paparazzi on Saturday has left R & B singer Chris Brown's car "totalled", according to media sources out of Los Angeles.

Brown says he was driving to a charity event at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy for a Symphonic Love Foundation event when he was cut off by two vehicles, notes Just Jared.

A rep for the 23-year-old perfromer says that the occupants of the two cars “jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached [Brown's] vehicle". Brown reportedly tried to distance himself from the occupants by backing down an alley. It was there that Brown claims his car was cut off again by an additional two vehicles, reports Gossip Cop.

The pursuit left Brown's car "totalled," according to TMZ. Brown's rep also told the site the singer wasn't seriously hurt. Despite the accident, Brown still attended the charity event, according to Extra. While Brown was alone at the time of the alleged run-in, he may not be alone come Sunday night.

Hollywood Life is reporting that Brown and his ex-girlfriend Rihanna have reconciled their differences and that they will be attending the 2013 Grammys together. Back in 2009, the couple split after Brown pleaded guilty to assault against the Barbados native.
