Snooki: 'Motherhood Is Perfect'

Partying is nothing compared to motherhood.

At least that's how Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi feels.

The "Jersey Shore" star, 24, is "obsessed" with 2-month-old son Lorenzo and can't wait to celebrate the holidays with her little meatball.

"Motherhood is perfect!" Snooki told HuffPost Celebrity at MTV's Restore the Shore special on Nov. 15. "I always wanted to be a young mom and I thought [at] 26, and I’m going to be 25, so I kind of did it right. And it just changes your life," she continued. "I don’t care about partying anymore. I haven’t had a drink in, like, a year! Well, not that long, but I don’t think about that stuff anymore. It’s just about family and my business really."

And Snooki's fiance, Jionni LaValle, vouches for her lifestyle change, saying, "she's an unbelievable mother."

"She’s obsessed with him, I'm obsessed ... it’s two months already. It’s crazy," LaValle told HuffPost Celebrity. "It’s a lot of fun, but we’re both very tired. We’re always up taking turns, who’s sleeping, who’s feeding ... but it’s what you got to do."

Although they're not sure whom Lorenzo takes after in the personality department, LaValle knows one thing for certain: "He looks just like Nicole. I mean to the T. It’s crazy."

The happy family is looking forward to being together during the holiday season and already had a great time on Halloween.

"Halloween was canceled because of Sandy, so we just dressed up," Snooki explained. "We just put the costumes on and took a picture so we had a memory and we're going to tell Lorenzo there was a hurricane and you didn't have a first Halloween."

"We were superheroes," LaValle added. "He was Superman, I was Captain America and she was Wonder Woman."

As for Thanksgiving and Christmas, Snooki revealed they're going to spend the holidays in Jersey with LaValle's family.

"It’s a first for everything," LaValle gushed. "Christmas, we can’t wait for, Halloween we couldn’t wait to dress him up. It’s just you can’t wait for everything to come up with him. Now it’s, 'When is he going to walk? When is he going to talk?,' We’re excited."

Snooki and Jionni plan on tying the knot in "a year, a year and a half."

Damon Wayans Jr. Is 'Thoroughly Offended' By 'Happy Endings' Cast Rumors

Being part of the cast of "Happy Endings" (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC) doesn't seem like a shabby gig. Not only does the plot get consistently more hilarious, but the show's actors -- Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Damon Wayans Jr., Casey Wilson and Adam Pally -- play off each other perfectly and look like they're having a blast.

In honor of his celebration of America Recycles Day, Wayans Jr., who plays Brad on the ABC comedy, took a few minutes to talk to HuffPost TV via phone to discuss working with the "Happy Endings" cast, leaving "New Girl" behind and to bust a few rumors.

I'm loving this season of "Happy Endings" so far, and I know there's been talk of Jane's lesbian lover coming to town. How do you think Brad will react to all of that?
I think Brad will be thrown, but then intrigued, and then offended, and then he'll be sad, then he'll be happy, then they'll make up, and maybe ... I don't know.

Do you think she'll stick around and create conflict?
I don't know. That'd be weird. I'd like that! I'd like to see how he'd handle that.

You and Eliza Coupe have great chemistry. Was that instant, or did it develop?
It was pretty much instant. During the last day of shooting our pilot we had this long scene where we were around each other for a long time, and we just laughed. It was one of the hardest laughs either of us have ever had. Ever since then, it's been uphill. We really get along. We laugh together, write together, hang out, sleep together, bathe together. It's great.

Is the "Happy Endings" cast a close-knit one?
Really close. We hang out every weekend, at least every Friday. We do it up on Friday nights just to be like, "Week well done!"

I don't want to stir up any trouble, but there was a rumor that you guys have so many inside jokes that your guest stars feel excluded. Do you have any thoughts on that?
Yeah! I do have thoughts on that. They said I was like the head of it, first of all. I was thoroughly offended. We do have a lot of inside jokes, but that's because we're around each other a lot. We're never mean to the guest stars. It said something about Megan Mullally being offended. We love Megan! She was my Megs and Bacon! That's what I used to call her!

We definitely have our jokes, but that's amongst each other. If people feel excluded, why don't they just come sit next to us? We're going to be goofy no matter what. I'm very offended that they said this. We're the nicest people. I might as well be Canadian! First of all, Elisha [Cuthbert]'s Canadian. And I was born in Vermont, so that's close to Canada.

So you're of the opinion that Canadians are nicer?
Yeah! For sure! You know how it is up there. They're healthier. Their healthcare is awesome.

Have you kept up with "New Girl"?
I saw the premiere of the first and second seasons.

What do you think of the role of Winston? Do you think if you had taken on that role, it would have gone in a different direction?
It's hard to say. I feel like my character's more aggressive. I think I could have kind of balanced out the cast, but I think Winston's doing a great job. That guy's [Lamorne Morris] my buddy. I'm glad that he's working, and I'm glad that they're working.

Any "Happy Endings" inside scoop?
Hmm. Yes! David Alan Grier is going to be playing my boss on an upcoming episode.

Tell me a little bit about America Recycles Day.
America Recycles Day is a day that is promoting recycling throughout the United States, in case you didn't know. Right now, I'm with the Bud Light recycling zone, and as you know, Bud Light is the official beer of the NFL. And what they've done -- which is awesome -- is collected 125,000 cans, scrunched them up, and created goal posts. They've taken it across the United States to nine different cities. In every city, they set up the goal posts at tailgating parties at these different football games, and they have someone kick it through the goal posts in the spirit of recylcing. It's a fun way to remember that even though we've progressed as a society, there's still a lot more to do.

"Happy Endings" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

INSPIRING: 'Life Of Pi' Wows Critics

$
0
0

"Life of Pi" is one of those lyrical, internalized novels that should have no business working on the screen. Quite possibly, it wouldn't have worked if anyone but Ang Lee had adapted it.

The filmmaker who turned martial arts into a poetic blockbuster for Western audiences with "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and made gay cowboys mainstream fare with "Brokeback Mountain" has crafted one of the finest entries in his eclectic resume in "Life of Pi," a gorgeous, ruminative film that is soulfully, provocatively entertaining.

Lee combines a lifetime of storytelling finesse with arguably the most artful use of digital 3-D technology yet seen to bring to life Yann Martel's saga of an Indian youth lost at sea with a ravenous Bengal tiger aboard his small lifeboat. It's a delicate narrative with visceral impact, told with an innovative style that's beguiling to watch and a philosophical voice that compassionately explores how and why we tell stories.

Our playful, not-always-reliable narrator here is Pi Patel, played by newcomer Suraj Sharma as a teen and as a grown man reflecting back on his adventure by Irrfan Khan. As a youth, Pi, his parents and brother set out from India, where the family runs a zoo in a botanical garden, to Canada. Pi's father brings along some of his menagerie on their voyage, including a tiger named Richard Parker with which Pi had a terrifying encounter as a boy.

Their ship sinks in a storm, with Pi the only human survivor aboard a lifeboat with an orangutan, a hyena, a zebra with a broken leg and Richard Parker. Survival of the fittest thins their numbers into a life-and-death duel, and eventually an uneasy truce of companionship, between Richard Parker and Pi.

This could be a one-note story – please Mister Tiger, don't eat me. Yet Lee and screenwriter David Magee find rich and clever ways to translate even Pi's stillest moments, the film unfolding through intricate flashbacks, whimsical voice-overs, harrowing sea hazards and exquisite flashes of fantasy and hallucination.

Lee used real tigers for a handful of scenes, but Richard Parker mostly is a digital creation, a remarkably realistic piece of computer animation seamlessly blended into the live action. The digital detail may be responsible for most of Richard Parker's fearful presence, though no small part of the tiger's impact is due to the nimble engagement of Sharma with a predator that wasn't actually there during production, a task hard enough for experienced performers, let alone a youth with no acting experience.

Digital 3-D usually is an unnecessary distraction not worth the extra admission price. In "Life of Pi," like Martin Scorsese's "Hugo," the 3-D images are tantalizing and immersive, pulling viewers deeper into Pi's world so that the illusion of depth becomes essential to the story.

Not all of the images live up to Lee's digital tiger or 3-D wizardry. Water is notoriously hard to simulate through computer animation, and the waves crashing down around the sinking ship or tossing Pi's lifeboat about have an unfinished, cartoony look. Still, Lee more than compensates with a world of visual wonders, from the simple image of a swimmer framed from below as though he's stroking his way across the sky to a mysterious island populated by a seemingly infinite number of meerkats.

The rest of the cast is mostly inconsequential, including Gerard Depardieu in a fleeting role as a cruel ship's cook. The other people in Pi's life are filtered through this unusual youth's eyes, each of them catalysts in the development of his deep spirituality, which blends Hinduism, Christianity, Islam and other contradictory influences into a weirdly cohesive form of humanism.

Like Martel's novel, the film disdains our inclination to anthropomorphize wild animals by ascribing human traits to them, and then turns around and subtly does just that. Friendship cannot possibly exist between a hungry tiger and a scrawny kid alone on the open water, yet for that boy, if not the cat, the need for togetherness, some commune of spirits, is almost as strong as the need for food and water. The ways in which Lee examines the strange bond between Pi and Richard Parker are wondrous, hilarious, unnerving, sometimes joyous, often melancholy.

Pi's story may not, as one character states, make you believe in God. But you may leave the theater more open to the possibilities of higher things in the life of Pi, and in your own.

"Life of Pi," a 20th Century Fox release, is rated PG for emotional thematic content throughout, and some scary action sequences and peril. Running time: 126 minutes. Three and a half stars out of four.

What's The First Word On 'Hitchcock'?

$
0
0

-- The man who made "Psycho" was no lightweight, though he kind of comes off that way in "Hitchcock."

Starring Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock and Helen Mirren as his wife and collaborator, Alma, "Hitchcock" puts a featherlight yet entertaining touch on the behind-the-scenes struggle to make the mother of all slasher films.

Hitchcock's very dark side gets superficial treatment as the film offers the cinematic equivalent of psychobabble to explore the director's notorious gluttony, sexual repression and idolization of his leading ladies.

Though shallow, "Hitchcock" has a playful quality that often makes it good fun, its spirit of whimsy a wink that the filmmakers know they're riffing on Hitchcock's merrily macabre persona and not examining the man with any great depth or insight.

"Hitchcock" is a promising move into dramatic filmmaking for director Sacha Gervasi after his 2009 documentary "Anvil: The Story of Anvil," a chronicle of heavy-metal wannabes who never quite made it. With screenwriter John J. McLaughlin adapting Stephen Rebello's book "Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho," Gervasi spins a nimble tale of a genteel yet volatile genius turning water into wine as Hitchcock transforms a tawdry story inspired by murderer Ed Gein into high art – and one of the scariest movies ever.

Fresh off a big success with 1959's "North by Northwest," Hopkins' Hitchcock lapses into the sort of funk that repeated itself throughout his career as he floundered about in search of his next film. He defies the expectations of Paramount executives and his own colleagues, Alma included, when he settles on Robert Bloch's novel "Psycho," the Gein-influenced story of Norman Bates, a soft-spoken mama's boy whose creepy double life leads to multiple murders.

Alma thinks it's a cheap story that's beneath her husband. Hitchcock thinks the spare tale – its savage violence told with subtle suggestiveness to mollify Hollywood's puritanical censors – can leave fans screaming in their seats.

"Hitchcock" strains to play up marital strife between the two as Alma feels tempted by a writing colleague (Danny Huston), while Alfred's frustrated fancies continue over his long string of Hitchcock blondes – in this case, "Psycho" co-stars Janet Leigh (Scarlett Johansson) and Vera Miles (Jessica Biel) – the latter standing with Grace Kelly among his greatest fixations.

The film also strays into Freudian fantasies as the specter of Gein himself (Michael Wincott) pops up to help Hitchcock work through his issues. These moments are clunky devices that offer no understanding of Hitchcock and his demons; at best, they're good for a chuckle here and there.

And while the filmmaker-at-work moments are similarly frivolous, it's wicked fun watching Hopkins' Hitchcock as cruel taskmaster, using whatever figurative cattle prods he can find to trick or cajole what he wants out of his actors.

Hopkins is padded to match Hitchcock's portly silhouette, yet the jowly prosthetics applied to his face are a bit distracting and unrealistic. They don't make Hopkins look much more like Hitchcock; they just make him look like Anthony Hopkins with prosthetics on his face.

Still, the spirit of Hitchcock comes through in Hopkins' sly performance, and he captures the measured cadence of the filmmaker's speech even though he doesn't sound much like Hitchcock, either.

Mirren has the easier task in inhabiting Alma, bringing fierce intelligence to Hitchcock's wife without the handicap of playing someone whose image, voice and mannerisms the audience knows so well.

The supporting players are there just for the joy of it, though Johansson turns out to be surprisingly good casting as Leigh, physically resembling the actress whose "Psycho" character gets snuffed in the famous shower scene and also doing a nice impersonation of Leigh's speaking style and demeanor. Likewise, James D'Arcy is an eerie dead ringer as jittery Anthony Perkins, who played the killer Norman.

Behind horn-rimmed glasses and a stiff hairdo, Toni Collette is a delight as Hitchcock's assistant, putting great heart and humor into her handful of scenes.

If "Hitchcock" ultimately feels inconsequential, it always aims to please, and for the most part, it does. As Alma says at one point, even "Psycho," after all, was just a movie.

"Hitchcock," a Fox Searchlight release, is rated PG-13 for some violent images, sexual content and thematic material. Running time: 98 minutes. Two and a half stars out of four.

Brandi Glanville On Eddie Cibrian: 'I Genuinely Want Him And LeAnn To Do Well'

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" breakout star Brandi Glanville has become a fan favorite for saying exactly what’s on her mind. Last week, she revealed how ex-husband Eddie Cibrian left her broke when they split in 2009 after 13 years together.

Despite that, Glanville says she wishes nothing but the best for Cibrian and country music singer LeAnn Rimes, with whom Cibrian is now involved. It's a far cry from Glanville's initial reaction to her then-husband's affair with the singer.

“People would be surprised, but I genuinely want him and LeAnn to do well," Glanville told The Huffington Post. "I want her to sell her music and him to be a successful actor. When they do well, I do well. We share children together and it’s all about the kids.”

Brandi also said she knows people think she can’t stop talking about her ex-husband, but that the “truth is, every interview I do, I am asked about him and I answer with the truth. When I’m not doing interviews, I don't think about them anymore. I have moved on.”

And even though she says she has moved beyond her past and is focused on her future, she can’t help but enjoy the fact that she has become so much more successful since Eddie walked out of her life.

“When Eddie left me, I was broke. I never paid attention to any of the money stuff. Everything was in his name so I had no credit. It was very difficult. I could have hooked up with an old man in Hollywood and got him to pay my bills -- it’s not hard in Hollywood. But I didn't, I survived by myself,” she said. “I have to admit, the success of the show gives me a lot of satisfaction. But I don’t think of myself as a celebrity and I don't think I earn more money than Eddie ... yet.”

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" airs Mondays on Bravo at 9 p.m. ET.

In Touch magazine reports that DeVito, 68, and Perlman, 64, attended the wedding of DeVito's niece in New Jersey over the weekend. "At first, they were on total opposite sides of the room," a source told the publication. "However, they ended up sitting together. Later on, they sat at the bar and seemed like they were getting along." According to the magazine, the estranged couple were also seen last week doing totally normal things like going grocery shopping in Santa Monica and taking their kids to the theater in New York.

Kid Cudi Calls It Quits In Yearlong Child Custody Battle

Kid Cudi may be on the pursuit of happiness but he is giving up his pursuit to obtain full custody of his daughter, TMZ reports.

The rapper had been entangled in a bitter custody battle with his daughter's mother for over a year. Although the "Day 'N Nite" singer said he bought a house in Chicago in order to be closer to his daughter, his daughter's mother said that his support has been "sporadic and inconsistent" and cites his history with drugs and alcohol as proof of his inability to provide adequate support. She ultimately received full custody, giving the rapper visitation rights.

Cudi is known for his role as Domingo Dean, the down to earth weed dealer/dog walker on the short lived HBO series "How To Make It In America." But unlike his character who cleverly keeps his budding marijuana business low profile Cudi was arrested in 2010 for possesion of a controlled substance.

However, since then Cudi says he has given up smoking weed and released a video for his song 'Marijuana' in late 2010 as a goodbye tribute to his former beloved pasttime.

PHOTOS: Jessica Biel Is Channeling Our Great-Grandmother

Last night, while plenty of A-listers were partying at the American Music Awards, we had our eyes trained on the "Hitchcock" premiere red carpet in New York City. There's Scarlett Johansson, looking sassy in a Rodarte minidress and violet lips. Oh hey, Helen Mirren in a long-sleeve Dolce & Gabbana frock. And there goes Jessica Biel, in -- hold up. What is that?

Biel's outfit had us doing double-takes: a patchwork silver tunic with matching flowy pants created by none other than Oscar de la Renta, designer to the stars Upper East Side dames. The look, while definitely high-end, felt a little... conservative, as if Jessica pulled a "Freaky Friday" body-switch with Iris Apfel.

Or, to quote an anonymous HuffPost Style staffer, "I feel like my great-grandmother wore that to a wedding, y'know?"

Everyone's allowed some sartorial missteps, of course -- just this weekend we were praising Biel for her awesome taste.

But we're not so sure about this particular outfit. Are you a fan of Jessica's silver suit thing?

Fans Choose Shakira As 'Best Latin Artist' Of 2012

Shakira’s hips don’t lie, and neither does her fan base. The Colombian singer may have released her last studio album “Sale el Sol” in 2010, but that didn’t stop fans from choosing her as the “Best Latin Artist” of 2012 at Sunday night’s American Music Awards (AMA).

The Barranquillera was first nominated for the “Best Latin Artist” category in 2001, and in 2005 she became the first female artist to receive the award. This year, Shak beat out crossover Cuban-American rapper Pitbull and Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Don Omar to win her fourth AMA statuette.

Both Pitbull and Don Omar released studio albums in 2012 (Don Omar took home two Latin Grammys for his efforts last Thursday), but unlike the Grammys, AMA nominations are based on the artists’ sales and airplay. And while members of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences choose Grammy winners, the public has the last word at the AMAs by voting online for their favorite artist.

Shakira’s growing baby bump may have prevented her from attending and shaking her hips at this year’s AMAs, but Christina Aguilera brought some latin heat to the stage when she performed from her new album “Lotus” in nothing but a black star-studded corset, fishnets, and knee-high boots.

But if the Colombian singer was upset about missing the celebration, it surely wasn’t showing on Wednesday night when the star and her beau Gerard Piqué were seen happily on their way to a showing of “Skyfall” in Barcelona.

Last week, the FC Barcelona soccer player told Catalan radio station RAC1 that Shak would release her next album in early 2013 and hinted at possible tracks on the record. During the interview, the Spanish footballer also revealed details about how the couple is handling the pregnancy.

“Shakira is doing great, she’s six months along. She’s still doing everything and I don’t stop her from doing anything. She even dances! But let her dance, that way she doesn’t think so much,” the Spaniard joked.

Rihanna's 11 Best Music Video Beauty Looks

Not since the heyday of music legends like Madonna and Cyndi Lauper has there been a female pop artist whose personal style has been duplicated like Rihanna's. The Barbadian beauty entered the music scene back in 2005 looking like a mini version of Beyoncé in belly-baring outfits, loose curls and loads of bronzer. But by the time her third album "Good Girl Gone Bad" was released, RiRi had set herself apart from the competition. She came out on top with edgier and sexier style, like her dark asymmetrical bob and signature smokey eye makeup.

Roc Nation's leading lady continues to push the envelope with every record, translating her controversial lifestyle into wearable art. From a blonde and black fauxhawk to fire-engine-red mermaid waves to a rebellious jet black undercut, she's kept her go-to hairstylists Ursula Stephen and Yusef Williams pretty busy with the scissors and hair dye.

In celebration of her new album "Unapologetic," we're taking a look back at Rihanna's beauty transformation through some of her music videos, including "Diamonds," "Rude Boy" and "Only Girl (In The World)." Tell us in the comments section which hair and makeup look you like best.

Channing Tatum, People's Sexiest Man Alive, Is A Newsstands Hit

The early sales figures are in, and People magazine has a hit on its hands with its "Sexiest Man Alive" issue featuring Channing Tatum.

"The early numbers show that People had a huge increase in market share with its 'Sexiest Man Alive' issue," one weekly-magazine editor-in-chief who has seen the statistics tells The Huffington Post. "Remember, the editors at People are not just picking a man who is sexy; they are also picking a guy who can sell magazines. It looks like they made a great choice."

Another weekly editor tells me there is no doubt People is having a great week.

"In this market, you have to fight for sales every week," that editor says. "Picking the right cover is the difference between being a hit or failure. Weekly-magazine covers that feature men normally do not perform well. It's a female celebrity-driven market, so it's always with great interest that everyone looks at the sales for this issue."

While Tatum is the sales hero of the week, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast are not faring well at all. As one news director tells me, “don't expect to see NeNe Leakes or Kim Zolciak on the cover of [another] magazine anytime soon."

A spokesman for Us Weekly, the magazine that is featuring the "Real Housewives" on its cover, did not respond to calls for comment.

"We have not seen any numbers yet, but will circle back when we do. Sadly, I can't comment on numbers we haven't received," says a representative for People.

'Django Unchained' Just Got Better

Quentin Tarantino's upcoming western drama, "Django Unchained," has some major names attached to it. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Foxx, and Kerry Washington, among others, the film was just tied to two more big names: Frank Ocean and Rick Ross reportedly wrote songs for the movie's soundtrack.

"As we make our way back from Astoria, Ocean tells me that he's got at least five projects in the works, among them a song he wrote for Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained; songs he's working on for Alicia Keys and Beyoncé; songs for his own third album; and a European tour, which he says he wants to model on Pink Floyd's The Wall tour," Amy Wallace writes in her profile of the artist.

Vulture went on to report that Ross penned a song as well. "I ran into Rick Ross [and] I said, 'Rick, you should come by the set because I know Quentin doesn’t do original stuff, but it wouldn’t hurt for you to come and just feel it because Django is hip hop. This is a different thing,'" Foxx said in an interview with About. "So Rick Ross shows up, huge fan of Quentin and I said, 'Rick, if you’re going to write a song, I think you should say these words: I need 100 black coffins for 100 bad men, dig 100 black graves so I can lay they ass in. 100 black coffins.' So that would be my contribution. Now what he does with it, I don't know. But if he does what I think, it’s going be, it’ll be great."

Ocean rose to fame this year, thanks to a successful album and an openness with his personal life that made headlines. Ocean penned letters on his blog about his first love, who was a man -- a confession that made waves in the hip-hop community. Amy Poehler Talks Almost Kissing Joe Biden On 'Parks & Rec'

Amy Poehler may be as fond as Joe Biden as her "Parks And Recreation" character Leslie Knope. Poehler stopped by "Live! With Kelly And Michael" Tuesday and was already reminiscing about filming the scene with the vice president.

On last week's "Parks & Rec," Leslie's fiance Ben (Adam Scott) surprised her with an opportunity to meet her political idol and celebrity crush. Hilarity and an awkward embrace ensued.

Poehler reported that Biden handled the uncomfortable scene like a pro. "Well it was really fun, I got to like lean in to go kiss him. I think he's used to crazy people because he was just like, 'Mhmm mhmm mhmm.'”

In a prior statement, Poehler praised the vice president's acting skills. "He was a good sport and a great improviser. The Vice President maintained his composure while I harassed him and invaded his personal space."

Poehler told Ripa that Biden's decades-long career as a political have helped his acting. “I think if you’re a politician I imagine that there has to be a certain amount of ... [acting]. You have to do everything I don't like to do, which is remember people's names and call people back.”

She didn't mention Biden's acting ace in the hole: his 1993 cameo on "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?"

Selena Gomez Signs With Adidas NEO Label One Month After Justin Bieber Does The Same

Adidas' NEO Label, one of the sportswear company's style-driven brands, has just scored big: Selena Gomez has signed on as NEO Label's new style ambassador. According to an Adidas press release:

As adidas NEO Label's new style ambassador, Selena will inspire teens with the label’s fresh looks through a three-year partnership until end-2015. As well as sporting her favorite NEO looks, Selena will make appearances for the label in major markets throughout 2013 and 2014 and share NEO's latest news, designs and collections through her social media networks. She will front NEO’s seasonal campaigns under its “Live Your Style” positioning, starting with Spring/Summer 2013 to debut in February 2013.

Wait a minute -- that sounds an awful lot like the press release we got last month, which went a little something like this:

As adidas NEO Label's new global style icon, Justin Bieber will inspire teens with the label’s fresh looks through a two-year partnership until end-2014. As well as sporting his favorite NEO looks, Justin will make appearances for the label in major markets throughout 2013 and share NEO's latest news and collections through his social media networks. He will front NEO’s seasonal campaigns under its “Live Your Style” positioning, starting with Spring/Summer 2013 to debut in February.

So what's the deal? On the one hand, it makes sense for Selena and Justin to be shilling for the same brand -- they both have massive reach with the same tween demographic and are arguably more popular as a pair than individuals. On the other hand, the timing of the announcement, about a month after Bieber's, seems suspicious. The pair reportedly split earlier this month but have seemingly reconciled already... and sources have reported that Gomez is sticking around simply because Bieber is "good for her brand."

Aaaaand that's about as much Jelena analysis as we can handle (we've got a short attention span for such things). Suffice it to say that Gomez and Bieber will be sticking together for a few more years care of the cupids at Adidas NEO. Hooray?

Joshua Estrin: Jennifer Hudson Has Something to Say

Ever since American Idol made one of the most epic mistakes in its history, I have been a fan of Jennifer Hudson. And, when she showed us all she had acting chops as well as a voice without limits, I unabashedly admit I was and continue to be in awe of the woman -- and now the mother -- who commands a resiliency of spirit that is infectious. During a recent chat I fell in love with her all over again, and enjoyed her willingness to update me on the what's what.

Joshua Estrin: What is it like balancing all your new projects now that you are a working mother?

Jennifer Hudson: I see it as nothing less than a blessing. It does take some planning, but now I can share my success with the most precious gift in my life. Children definitely put the world in perspective, and I have prioritized and have come to realize that family and children are really what matters.

JE: You have redefined yourself. There is a whole lot less of you, so I 'm wondering if you feel different on the inside as well?

JH: The weight loss is still relatively new, so to be honest I am still getting used to this body. On the outside, I guess I am more daring with some of the clothes I choose to wear, but on the inside... I think I am still getting used to how the change has impacted the way I think and feel. Certainly, I am still the same person, but I guess as I get to know me at this size and shape I might notice I have shifted the way I think about certain things. I guess you will have to check back with me again so I can give you an update.

JE: Tell me about your latest projects.

JH: I am super excited to be working with QVC as it has allowed me to realize my love for fashion. I am a creative spirit, and my love for clothing -- like my love for music -- has allowed me to produce something that is for every woman. When I was designing, I made sure that nothing in the line was only cut to look good on a specific size or shape. All the ladies can feel sexy and have fun in my clothing and that makes me feel like I am offering something truly unique to the people who have been gracious enough to show me such love and support over the years.

JE: What do you think is the greatest misconception that people have about you?

JH: Wow... That's a good question. I'm really not sure what people think or expect me to be, but I am surprised when people say, "You're not supposed to be like that..." I'm not exactly sure what "that" is, so I choose to take it as a compliment.

Honey Boo Boo Is One Of Barbara Walters' Most Fascinating People

The stir Barbara Walters caused when she announced that the Kardashians were among her "10 Most Fascinating People" of 2011 was nothing compared to what could happen if it is revealed that Honey Boo Boo is on her list for 2012.

"The unreleased names are a closely guarded secret. But you wouldn't be wrong in reporting that Honey Boo Boo is one of them," said one ABC insider.

“Barbara is a genius and knows controversy sells,” the source tells me. “Plus, she is right -- who has received more attention this year than Honey Boo Boo?”

However, Walters has denied on The View that Honey Boo Boo made the list.

For the past 20 seasons, the TV legend has picked the biggest names in entertainment, sports and pop culture and invited them to sit down with her for her 90-minute TV special.

This year's list of confirmed participants includes Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie; Olympic gold medal gymnast Gabby Douglas; the British boy band One Direction; Academy Award winner Ben Affleck, Seth MacFarlane of “Family Guy" and EL James, the author of Fifty Shades of Grey. However, Barbara always keeps a few names secret -- including who will be her No. 1 most fascinating person.

The "10 Most Fascinating People" special is scheduled to air at 9:30 p.m. EST on Dec. 12 on ABC.

"CSI" and "CSI: NY" will crossover in a two-part episode. A kidnapping case will bring the two "CSI" shows together in a February 2013 episode.

It starts when "CSI: NY" star Gary Sinise's character, Mac Taylor, heads to Las Vegas to visit his girlfriend. However, he quickly learns she's gone missing. Mac teams up with D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) and the Las Vegas CSI team to find her. The episode airs Wednesday, February 6 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.

The search continues on "CSI: NY" when Danson's character heads to New York to help Mac track down the kidnappers and find Christine. The two-parter concludes on Friday, February 8 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.

"CSI" is no stranger to crossovers. When Laurence Fishbourne starred on "CSI," he did a three-part event over "CSI: NY" and "CSI: Miami."

Second time's a charm?

"Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans is engaged to her boyfriend of two months, Courtland Keith Rogers, she revealed on Twitter. This is the 20-year-old's second engagement this year, as she was previously set to wed her ex Gary Head.

"I said yes," Evans tweeted along with a photo of her new diamond ring. "There is a huge reason why we r getting married so fast but too touchy of a subject. But I do love him to death."

Some of her followers are already speculating that the rush-rush proposal might be due to either a second pregnancy or the couple's attempt to regain custody of Evans' 3-year-old son Jace and Rogers' 1-year-old daughter Jordan.

Evans took to her Facebook page to share her engagement news, writing:

Tomorrow we r going to start planning!! :) OMG I've never been this happy in my life. It's like a fantasy coming true. I'm going to be married to my best friend/lover/childhood sweetheart.
