Will.i.am: #GreatTimes: My New Election Song

$
0
0

I recently went to my old ghetto and selected some of the best students from one of the worst schools in America to mentor and trans4m their lives...

I gave those students each two thousand dollars to open a bank account that will grow, that they can only use for college when they graduate in three years...

I promised those kids if they graduate with a great GPA I will give them a a full "i.am scholarship" debt free...

I am focused on those kids because this is something I can personally affect and see results...

I am so dedicated on what YES WE CAN means...

it means i.am also accountable for change coming...

and so are you...

we all are...

2012-11-03-MSA_5705.jpg

So...

that being said:

I made a new song that's a reminder of what this election is all about...

we are all fighting for a better life...

we are all wanting greater opportunities...

we are all looking for solutions...

we are all hurting wishing and praying for "Great Times"

I know it may seem too optimistic, or hopeful and not realistic...

I know we are living with so much uncertainty...

I know times are bad...

But

we can not put our heads down and cry out retreat...

we can not go back to the mentality that got us here before...

we can not loose hope...

we can not stop being wishful...

we can not resort to disconnect, division, and shut down...

we can not allow people that don't have our best interest to take our country back... leaving us with "bad times."

We have to reach for something greater...

we have to aim for something higher...

we have to plan for the future...

we have to live for our children...

we have to be the agents of individual change...

we have to be accountable for collective change...

2012-11-03-MSB_5006.jpg

So...

here is an anthem...

here is a melody that unites us...

here is a hymn that reminds us of us...

I tried to make it fragile, gentle and hopeful to give us power to overcome these problems collectively...

We are > greater than

We are > united

We are > a force of optimism

We are > focused

We are > the future

2012-11-03-MSB_5095.jpg

I am proud to have partners to help me with my efforts to change my old ghetto...

Laurene Powell Jobs... (College Track)

Dean Kamen... ( FIRST -- For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)

Discovery Education

JPMorgan Chase Foundation

This coalition is called TRANS4M,

and we are going to TRANS4m Boyle heights.

This song was written to be a source of inspiration for this mission to TRANS4M Boyle Heights... then TRANS4M every inner city like Boyle heights in America...

its a fight...

and we will fight it together...

the fight is the past vs. future

the fight is crime vs. education

the fight is foreclosures vs. sold

the fight is big oil vs. big green & big clean

the fight is forfeit or forward.

And we will win with a 20 year plan vs. a four year sales pitch

Is A 'Boy Meets World' Sequel Series In The Works?

Disney is looking to resurrect another piece of pop culture history. Following the news that the Mouse House had purchased Lucasfilm (and thus, the "Star Wars" franchise) for $4 billion earlier this week, TV Line is reporting that the Disney Channel is in the early stages of developing a "Boy Meets World" sequel series.

The show, titled "Girl Meets World," would reportedly center on the preteen daughter of Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel), the stars of the original series. Sources tell TV Line that the network is currently courting Savage and Fishel to reprise their roles.

"Boy Meets World" ran for seven seasons on ABC from 1993-2000, ending with Cory and Topanga getting married and moving in together. The show's original executive producer, Michael Jacobs, is already in the process of casting the spin-off, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Would you watch a "Boy Meets World" sequel series, or should they leave the idea alone? Weigh in below!

Richard Greene: Bill Nye on Sandy, Climate Change and the 2012 Election

$

0

Did climate change have anything to do with Superstorm Sandy?

Climate change made Storm Sandy more intense. Climate change is responsible for dozens of deaths and billions of dollars of damage. And it is going to get worse.

Until this week, climate change has not received much attention but it is a very important issue for America for this election.

On November 6, voters get to choose how we, as a nation, deal with climate change in the future There are enormous differences in the way Mr. Romney and Mr. Obama, and the Republican and Democratic Parties, deal with climate change and the greenhouse gases that unquestionably increased the devastation caused by hurricane Sandy... and will continue to cause havoc with our weather.

What, exactly, Bill, is the science on this?

Let's be clear on the science. Climate change does not cause hurricanes and storms like Sandy... but climate change makes them worse -- no question. The Scientific Journal, in an article on Tuesday, October 30, by senior editor Mark Fischetti says it clearly:

Climate change amps up... basic factors that contribute to big storms... The oceans have warmed, providing more energy for storms, and the Earth's atmosphere has warmed, so it retains more moisture which is drawn into storms, and is then dumped on us.
The basic mechanism of climate change is very, very simple... Gases in our atmosphere allow sunlight to pass through easily on the way down from space. But, after the light warms the Earth, these gases hold heat like glass in a greenhouse. That's why it's called "the greenhouse effect." It's what keeps our world warm enough for liquid water to flow and all of us living things to survive.

But in recent decades, it has become clear that we humans are causing the release of certain gases, especially carbon dioxide and methane, into the atmosphere much faster than any time in the past tens of thousands of years. Burning carbon-based substances like oil, gas, and especially coal produces billions of tons of extra carbon dioxide each year. Methane gas from cows and pigs and other animals on our large farms ends up in the atmosphere as well, trapping more of the sun's energy as heat.

What's your sense of the differences between Gov. Romney, President Obama and the Republican and Democratic candidates for Senate and The House of Representatives on the issue of climate change? There is a very big difference between the candidates and the parties on this issue.

President Obama, Vice President Biden and the Democratic Party's position is consistent with what 90 percent of scientists say -- that humans significantly cause the world to warm and climates to change and that, in order to slow climate change and eventually control its effects, we must slow down and regulate the emission of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane... and develop clean, alternate forms of energy, like solar, wind, geothermal, tidal and biomass.

Governor Romney, Congressman Ryan and the vast majority of those in the Republican Party, however, strongly disagree and they cite a small number of researchers who say that any warming and any climate change is a natural cyclical phenomenon that has been occurring on Earth for millions of years and that human activity is not a significant factor.

Gov. Romney and the Republicans are wrong. It's just not true. At the Republican Convention in Tampa, Gov. Romney re-stated his position by saying, "President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and to heal the planet. My promise is to help you and your family." The audience laughed.

At the Democratic Convention in Charlotte, President Obama responded by saying, "More droughts and floods and wildfires are not a joke. They're a threat to our children's future."

Look at what has just happened to our Eastern seaboard. Every scientist that I respect says that this will not only continue, but will continue to get worse, unless we stop pumping more and more greenhouse gases into the environment.

America is going to vote in a few days. Is there evidence, beyond general statements, that Democrats are more serious about addressing and solving the problems of carbon emissions and climate change?

The Republicans, almost exclusively... the Republican members of the Senate and the House of Representatives, stand in the way of any attempt to reduce greenhouse emissions or to get away from our dependence on dirty fossil fuels.

Two examples:

No. 1: Just last year the Republicans introduced The Energy Tax Prevention Act of 2011 in the House and the Senate to stop the Environmental Protection Agency, the EPA, from making ANY regulations regarding greenhouse gases and climate change.

A hundred percent of Republicans voted for the bill to stop the EPA from regulating greenhouse gases, and 90 percent of Democrats against the bill to stop the EPA from regulating greenhouse gases.

And there is a huge difference between the parties on whether we should spend taxpayer money to subsidize oil companies or companies that are developing the clean solar, wind, geothermal and tidal energy of the future that doesn't contribute to climate change. For example, just a few months back, in March of this year, legislation came up that would give oil companies $4 billion, $4 billion in taxpayer subsidies. Gov. Romney and 96 percent of the Republicans in the Senate said "yes," while President Obama and 92 percent of the Democrats in the Senate said "No."

Democrats and Republicans really do have very different views on climate change and on the promotion of oil vs. clean energy in The United States.

What's your Call to Action to the American people between now and November 6?

If climate change and clean energy are important issues to you, you have to have your voice be heard and vote on November 6!

The 2000 presidential election was decided by 537 votes -- 537 out of a country of 300 million... and elections of senators and congressmen are often decided by hundreds or thousands of votes. I believe Sandy made it clear that climate change has to be a critical issue in this election and I want you, everyone, to get out and choose your America!

Pippa Middleton Confronts Book Critics In The Telegraph

We're sure Pippa Middleton knew there would be a lot of scrutinizing eyes on her book Celebrate -- she is the sister of the future queen of England, after all. But we're not sure she was expecting how severely critics would pan her first foray into the writing world. Not only were her tips deemed obvious and simplistic, but the scathing reviews questioned her motives.

"What is the point of this thick, colourful book, except as a sort of cultural tea bag for the American market?" The Telegraph asked.

"It is clear that by writing the book Pippa set out to prove that there is far more to her than her pert bottom. But the fact is, there isn’t," The Irish Sun wrote. Ouch.

Fortunately for the new author, Pippa took the opportunity to answer her critics in The Telegraph on Sunday, penning a first-person essay in defense of the book she received a $600,000 advance to write. "I'm a real foodie," she writes. She sets out to prove her naysayers wrong by touting her ability to whip up slow-braised pig's cheeks, pigeon breast salad and venison stew. And just how did she become such an accomplished dinner party chef? By working as a kitchen assistant at a pub in Berkshire, she says.

As a direct response to the negative book reviews, Pippa explains that the so-called "basic" advice that she wrote in Celebrate was intentional:

"I could have written a book that showcased the most extravagant or elaborate of occasions -- after all, I spent three years working for an events company planning parties -- but I wanted to produce something that was achievable; something that people would have on their shelves for years; something that was not too fussy -- just simple and comforting."

Quite frankly, we're surprised Pippa took the time to answer her critics at all, since the 29-year-old is usually pretty tight-lipped. She's yet to give a sit-down interview, and she even reportedly declined a book tour (including a chat with Oprah and Anderson Cooper) in light of her sister's topless photo scandal. So this carefully-crafted response must have been a pretty strategic move.

As for her latest holiday preparations, Pippa writes: "I’m not sure what I’ll be doing this year. My worry now, having written this book, is that the pressure will really be on. I’ll somehow have to produce the party of the century." You certainly will, Pips. Any chance we could snag an invite? We promise to be nice.

The one scene from the "Twilight Saga" that Robert Pattinson would like to reshoot is his very first kiss with Kristen Stewart in the first "Twilight" film.

"We reshot it twice," Pattinson said in an interview with MTV News. "I messed it up again. It's hard though. That was a hard scene. That was the audition scene as well. But, it's like in order... I don't know. It's just a difficult one."

Pattinson and Stewart are reportedly back together after a very public cheating scandal. The two are appearing in the final "Twilight" film, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part Two," set to release November 16.

"We Are Young" band, fun., was the musical guest on last night's episode of "Saturday Night Live," hosted by Louis CK.

The band performed its hit single, "Some Nights," the title track off fun.'s 2012 album. (Watch that clip above.)

They also played "Carry On," another single off the "Some Nights" album.

fun. tweeted a picture from the show on Saturday night.

"Some Nights," the second album from fun., was released in February of 2012. The band is a supergroup of sorts, made up of lead singer Nate Reuss (formerly of The Format), Andrew Dost (Anathallo) and Jack Antonoff (Steel Train). Antonoff has made some tabloid waves, as he's reportedly dating "Girls" creator and star Lena Dunham.

In a bit of a twist, fun. didn't perform its biggest hit, "We Are Young" on "SNL." The first single from "Some Nights" was released last year in the lead up to the band's album release, and hit number one on the Billboard Top 100.

Gisele Bundchen may be well into her pregnancy, but that doesn't mean the supermodel still doesn't like to work on her tan at the beach.

The Brazilian stunner caught some rays in Miami on Sunday in a skimpy, leopard print bikini, and, we have to admit, Gisele looked good. Aside from the baby bump, you'd never guess that the 32-year-old mother is expecting her second child. Victoria's Secret Angels have all the luck, don't they?

Of course, Gisele's no stranger to the art of stunning in a bikini (or even half of one). But we still can't help but be amazed at her superhuman ability to always look flawless. Check out the photos of Gisele at the beach and see what we mean.

Lea Black: A Real Housewife's 2012 Presidential Vote: Hurricane Sandy's Election Effect and Why I'm Voting Against My Financial Interest

$
0
0

Hurricane Sandy's blown away more than what could be $20 billion lost in damages and $30 billion in evaporated business. It may have blown Mitt Romney's campaign off-course, just a few days from the election. While President Obama is back at work, helping the East Coast recover and gaining praise from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a key surrogate for his opponent, Republican nominee Mitt Romney is being haunted by... Republican primary challenger Mitt Romney. His trouble comes from a June, 2011 debate where he strongly agreed to defund FEMA and have the states manage emergency relief. It's his latest cost-cutting idea that panders to his conservative base, but actually makes as much sense as a Real Housewife's conversation after a few drinks too many.

So, as we consider the political storm around his FEMA comments, here's my take on why I'm voting for the other guy, even though my tax return would probably be bigger if I didn't vote my conscience.

Don't sell your future for a windfall on April 15th -- Everyone has a price. An extra few thousand dollars is not mine. I look at the choice we have and wonder what price we're willing to pay for a tax break. What will it do to our economy if our leader's foreign policy leads us to another war we can't afford, because they'd choose conflict over communication? How many American lives will be lost and how long will it take to rebuild our credibility around the world? Peace doesn't come through war and Romney's strategy in the Middle East is being led by the same neocons who never served but forced us into a war of choice in Iraq by manipulating information. Governor Romney can't withstand peer pressure. He caved in the primaries (remember that "severe conservative" talk?) and he'll cave in the West Wing. I know he wouldn't choose war as a first option, but all of his wavering proves that underneath all that "leadership" is really a follower, telling people what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. A people pleaser. It would be tough to think he'd stand up to the hawks around him and exhaust all diplomatic options. He's like the Real Housewife who could get talked into a table dance at a charity dinner.

Look, I know this is all "easy for me to say." I realize that I've been really lucky. I've got an amazing husband, an incredible son, a weekly spot on a hit TV show, and have had success beyond anything I could have dreamed in business and as a fundraiser for causes I truly believe in. However, that success hasn't entitled me to a sense of entitlement about the country. I know it's not all about me or the wealthy, for that matter. America has always done best when everyone does better, just like a strong economy builds from the middle class out. We know the middle class is the backbone of this country and its heart and soul. It's why the middle class is the target of so much attention in this campaign, like it's the one girl in a high school science club full of boys.

Economic Fairness is "elementary" -- Elementary school teachers always taught us that "majority rules" and the same rules apply to the economy. I may be in a higher tax bracket, but when people say the more money you give us around April 15th, the better our country will be, the more I call BS. I agree with George H.W. Bush when he called the trickle down financial theory, "voodoo economics" on April 10, 1980. We tried it before and our national debt exploded from $712 billion in 1980 to more than $2.05 trillion in 1988. I have seen what those years were like with a Republican president who gives a bigger tax return, but oversees a far less kind, compassionate America. Remember the lack of action during the first years of the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s?

So, I'm prepared to give up a healthier tax break with Romney for the ability to keep my reproductive rights in place with Obama. I'm willing to give up the extra cash from the IRS with Romney for tighter financial regulations with Obama so we don't have another financial collapse with unwatched greed on Wall Street and in the housing market. I'm OK to sacrifice some money around tax time with Romney to support Obama as a president who helped to guarantee equal pay protection for women with the Lilly Ledbetter Act. Now there are "binders full of women" making the same amount as men!

It's not class warfare, it's warfare on our kids' classes -- Think about all the mothers across the U.S. that live in fear. Fear that they can't properly feed, educate or get medical care for their child, because they can't afford it. Fear that they can get home to those kids with the $5 they are stretching until their next payday. Would it be too much to ask wealthy Americans to live with three cars instead of four? When is enough, enough? I am all for free enterprise and financial success, but we can also be smart enough to do it without making life harder on those who are less fortunate. Those of us in a higher tax bracket should consider ourselves blessed to be there. Money is a privilege, not a weapon. Why would we spend top dollar to send our kids to private schools, only to gut education programs for millions of Americans whose families don't make as much?

If our goal is to question science (Hurricane Sandy shows climate change is real!) and dumb down our education system, we deserve the future we're dooming ourselves to. What kind of values do we really have if we're willing to elect someone we know will say anything to get elected? By the way, conservatives, you have no idea if he'll sell you down the river just as fast, because nobody has any idea what he'll do! It all depends on who he surrounds himself with and if his foreign policy advisers are any indication, you can expect a return to the Bush years you've spent four years trying to distance yourselves from.

It's "one for all" not "all for the one percent" -- Just like his advice that young people should borrow money from their parents to attend college, many of these ideas just don't work for Americans who are less fortunate. Yes, the economy is still rebuilding, but we can't prevent a financial Chapter 11 by going morally bankrupt. We're all connected, so it's a false choice to say that you will vote your pocketbook or vote your religion. When everyone succeeds, that really does mean everyone. Just look at the rising wages during the Clinton years and the balanced budget we got from a bipartisan deal. Democracy thrives because the family that struggles to make a $10 political donation has the same say in the voting booth on election day as the billionaire Koch brothers. Democracy shouldn't be for sale. Are you listening, Sheldon Adelson, with that $1 million Super PAC donation to save Allen West's campaign in Florida?

We should all hope Romnesia doesn't spread -- Just like Romney seems to have forgotten his talk of defunding FEMA (or just hopes to avoid questions like he did after Sandy hit), he'll probably lose sight of what he promised for his first day in office. In his first 24 hours, Romney has to start to return all the favors he's received and fulfill the promises over those six years he's run for president. He'll be busy on day one. Romney pledged to: repeal Obamacare (he doesn't have the power as president to do it on day one), label China a currency manipulator despite the possible trade war it would start (doesn't have the nerve), begin cutting the deficit (doesn't have the plan) and start the push for tax cuts (I think you're getting the picture).

What type of people would we be to repeal Obamacare, which provides healthcare for the weakest among us, protects the elderly and their financial security? What about changes to Medicaid that could leave the mentally ill and physically challenged without help because their family doesn't have the resources to help? How about the Romney/Ryan voucher system they have in store for Medicare? They've left voters with more questions than Andy Cohen has on a RH reunion show!

A few closing thoughts -- Whether you're seeing the damage of Hurricane Sandy and thinking of Romney's FEMA plans or the perfect storm a few years back of AIG, Lehman, a collapsing auto industry and tanking housing market, you'll realize that with the wrong leader, our recession would have been a depression. At a time when we're at war in several countries with several crises on the way from Iran to Syria, it is hard to accept people rolling the dice on someone whose views have flipped more than an IHOP chef at breakfast.

He so desperately wants to get elected and is banking on a short-term game of flip- flops with voters he hopes will have short-term memories and even shorter attention spans. If he wins, it's easy to imagine his party molding him and his policies to fit their scary worldview. He'll have to repay all those political debts quickly and constantly. If you think I can go for that to save some tax money, then you don't know Black.

Matthew McConaughey's Body Transformation

Happy Birthday, Matthew McConaughey!

The handsome hunk turns 43 today (can you believe it?) and we wanted to pay tribute to his special day by showcasing his incredible body transformation. Not only has the actor buffed up over the years, but recently he has shed more than 30 pounds for his role in "The Dallas Buyer's Club."

“I’m playing a guy who was sick and would have loved to have been healthier but wasn’t. For me, it’s more of a mental thing than a physical thing,” McConaughey shared with Us Weekly. “I’ll get down to the weight I need to get to. I’m on my way, and it’s what I need to do for the job.”

His slim look is a far cry from the actor's normally muscled-up physique, which McConaughey has taken pride in for the past decade. We're sure as soon as shooting ends, he'll bulk up once again and give us some more of those shirtless moments we've been missing.

Beth Broderick: When Tweets Attack! Justin Bieber Fans Wage an All Out Assault on an Innocent and Unsuspecting Charity

Seth Maxwell, the charismatic 24 year old founder and director of the Thirst Project did not know what to make of it. The savage tweets were rolling in at a rate of 20 per minute occluding all other activity on their twitter feed. Charming sentiments like: "@ThirstProject LMFAO No one likes you!" and "@ThirstProject You are retarded f*** you Dreke" or the truly unthinkable "@DrakeBell @ThirstProject Who wants to help those jungle bunnies anyway?"

Who would launch a hate campaign against an organization that provides clean safe drinking water to impoverished people in places like Swaziland? What's to hate and who would hate it?

Founded by a group of college students, Thirst Project is led by and supported by young people and students. When he is not digging wells in far-away lands, Seth visits dozens of high-schools every year to educate students about the global water crisis and engage them in the solution. To date he has visited over 300 schools in the U.S. and thus inspired, the kids have raised 2.6 million dollars and provided water to over 100,000 people. The kids raise money by holding dances and ping pong tournaments and bake sales, they are loyal to the cause, inventive and determined. Many schools now put on an annual event and are donating truly impressive amounts of money while teaching the students that their efforts can make a difference in the world. Seth has recruited a separate board of directors who fund his administration costs so that he can assure his teen donors that 100 percent of their money will go directly to building wells.

Hmmmm. Not the sort of activity that normally fills one with hate. Mostly in fact folks think it is extraordinary work and a great program... so how to explain this twitter bombing?

It began with the launch of a Twitter raffle campaign to raise money to build more wells in Africa. Seth's goal is to provide every single person in Swaziland with access to water. The winner of the raffle will receive an all expense paid trip to Hollywood to attend the annual Thirst project fundraiser and meet their celebrity supporters. One of these is Drake Bell whom Seth recruited to be the 'face' of the campaign. Drake is the star of Nickelodeon's "Drake and Josh" which has a large following of young folks and he has over a million twitter followers. Drake loves the Thirst Project and was happy to pitch in , seemingly a perfect fit and yet here is where the worm turns. Apparently Drake horrified "Beliebers", (yes that is what these rabid Justin Bieber fans are called) last July by suggesting that perhaps the age of 18 was a tad young to be touting a bio-pic called " Never Say Never The Justin Bieber Story." At the risk of igniting their ire I am going to have to agree with Mr. Bell's take on this. If you cannot order a glass of wine or enter the armed services, I do not want to hear the story of your life. You have in fact not lived it yet. The "Beliebers" of course most emphatically did not agree. The young monster fans were outraged! They assaulted Bell for weeks, relentlessly tweeting nasty ugly sentiments. The so-called "feud" was covered here on The Huffington Post.

The ruckus eventually died down and the little girls became otherwise occupied, leading Drake to falsely assume that the storm had passed.

Enter the Thirst Project whom Drake was hoping to help, but in so doing has managed to re-awaken this sleeping giant of adolescent rage. These tween mean girls have been hurling ugly tweets at the Thirst Project at a relentless pace for over ten days As of this writing the pleas to Bieber's management to please explain to his fans that they are doing real harm to real do-gooders, have gone unanswered. The Beliebers rage on unchecked. Forgive my but I have to say this. It's downright unbielebable.

Here is what Seth has to say:

The thing that makes my heart sad about all of this, is that Justin can take care of himself, but these kids in Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia can't. If Justin Bieber's fans put as much energy into helping us end the water crisis or something positive, we could do something incredible. Instead, they looked at something good and beautiful and pure and tried to tear it down in the name of one boy who they have decided is worth more than the lives of the thousands of children in need. I know Justin Bieber been supportive of numerous charities in the past (some of which even include clean water initiatives), so I cannot allow myself to believe that the actions of his fan base are representative of his character, but I do wish he would help stop this and make it right. It's been 10 days since the Campaign launched, and the tweets have finally almost stopped completely, but the damage was done. For days our charity's twitter was hijacked and anyone who searched for us was met with gross language that I can only imagine what impression it left them with.

Justin Bieber, I know you must be such a better person than this reflects. If you can hear me out there, then on behalf of the nearly 1 billion people without clean water, and on behalf of the thousands of students who have given of themselves so generously to build our organization so far, I'm asking for your help.

I think that says it all. Mr. Bieber are you listening?

Kristen Stewart And Robert Pattinson's Night Out

She may have been solo as she walked the red carpet at the premiere of "On the Road" last night, but Kristen Stewart was anything but alone at the film's after party.

Stewart, 22, was not only joined by her fellow cast members, but the actress was spotted cozying up to her on-again beau, Robert Pattinson, 26, who attended the Nov. 3 bash. The "Twilight" co-stars eyed each other all night as they mingled with friends and sipped on cocktails.

According to E! News, the couple hung out on the Garden Terrace at the Audi-sponsored event, which was held at the Roosevelt Hotel across the street from Grauman's Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, Calif., where the screening took place. And although they didn't pack on the PDA, Stewart and Pattinson shared plenty of sweet moments before leaving together at around 1 a.m.

As Stewart chatted with her co-star Amy Adams, Pattinson talked with a male pal while puffing away on an electronic cigarette.

E! News reports:

A bit after midnight, Kristen was dancing and Rob made his way back to her. They spoke energetically and were playful, with Rob jokingly showing some dance moves of his own. As for PDA, she patted his chest a few times as they talked and rubbed his head at one point. He whispered in her ear and put his arm around her for a moment. Just before 1 a.m, Rob looked like he tried to rally some people to leave and a few minutes later Kristen followed after him.

Stewart rocked a Balenciaga bra-top on the red carpet before changing into a leather bomber and black tank top as Pattinson sported a black jacket and jeans. The pair are gearing up to promote "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" this week.

Is It Time For A 'Casablanca' Sequel?

Seventy years ago this month, Warner Bros. released "Casablanca." Now, there is talk of making a sequel to the iconic film.

For movie buffs and film neophytes alike, "Casablanca" is a must-see. The 1942 classic, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman has three Oscars, a spot in the United States National Film Registry, and was awarded the best screenplay ever written by the Writers Guild of America. With "Here's looking at you, kid," "Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine," and "I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship," it has also given us some of the most famous quotes.

New York Post is reporting that Cass Warner, the granddaughter of Warner Bros. co-founder Harry Warner, is looking to make a sequel to "Casablanca."

Warner took a screenwriting class with "Casablanca" contributor Howard Koch in 1988 and she is now hoping to revisit Rick and Ilsa with a script that is based on a treatment Koch wrote more than 30 years ago.

There have been attempts for a sequel before, including "Brazzaville," a Warner Bros. project that never made it past the treatment phase.

Warner came across Koch's "Casablanca" pitch, amongst stacks of unproduced pieces when she was at his home in Woodstock.

“Warner Bros. passed on it a year, a year and a half ago,” Warner told the Post. “But they indicated they were willing to revisit this if I could find a filmmaker they were interested in working with.”

The Koch treatment, titled "Return to Casablanca" shows Ilsa and Victor Laszlo trying "to locate Rick after he and Renault left to join the Free French forces opposing Rommel in North Africa. They have had no success."

The script continues, “After leaving Casablanca for America, Ilsa learned she was pregnant. She gave birth to a boy who grew up in America. The real father of the boy, it turns out, was not Laszlo but Rick. He was conceived the night Ilsa came to Rick’s place to plead for the Letters of Transit . . . The secret was not kept from Laszlo, but being the kind of man he was and owing so much to Rick, he adopted the child and treated him as his own son. The boy was named Richard, and he grew up to be a handsome, tough-tender young man reminiscent of his father. He had been told the truth about his origin and has a deep desire to find his real father, or at least more about him, since Rick’s heroic at actions in Casablanca have become legendary.’’

The buzz around a film of this nature is so extraordinary that there are already opinions on who should play Richard when it is still not known whether it will even be made. "Casablanca" historian Aljean Harmetz suggested Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Whether Cass Warner is able to successfully produce "Return to Casablanca" is yet to be seen.

Lady Gaga is never shy about showing off her famous figure, but apparently she isn't so confident in a bikini.

The pop star, 26, took to Twitter on Friday (Nov. 2) to share some photos of her and some friends hanging out on the beach. But despite what her little monsters think, Gaga is not a fan of bathing suits.

"me on the beach today," she tweeted, posting a picture of herself sporting a Miller Lite swimsuit. "i have a fear of swimwear," she added, "but beer is ok."

But although she might hate bikinis, Mother Monster kept sharing pictures, adding two more on her Instagram account.

"I fear beachwear but a Starlight reminded me miller light goes all the way," she wrote.

Gaga has been busy on tour, but did not forget about the devastation her hometown of New York has been facing after Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast hard on Oct. 29.

"east coast how are you holding up? How are you New York? Staying strong i hope, thinking of you all the time. Can't even watch news feed," she wrote, later adding, "i'll be there as soon as i can to help my old neighborhood. I'm on tour + can't let my fans down. I want to help with my hands with all of u."

You'll Never Guess This Mother Of Six

Kris Jenner is proof that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The Kardashians' matriarch has a similar style to her daughters: Tight dresses, animal prints, vertiginous heels and oversized baubles are all part and parcel of her uniform. With in-your-face cleavage and bright patterns, Jenner could easily pass as the fourth Kardashian sister, and Kris and Kim are often spotted out and about dressed alike.

This mother of six kids is anything but matronly. Instead, Mrs.Bruce Jenner has a fondness for heavy makeup, luxury bags and outfits that show off her killer body. Like her famous offspring, the "Momager" is a spotlight-loving fashionista whose closets are overflowing with with fabulous fashions (in fact, we've seen Kendall and Kylie choosing from the large selection of Hermes Birkin bags and Christian Louboutin heels).

The pictures of Kris from the '80s and '90s are priceless -- we can only imagine how many shoulder pads are lurking in the Kardashian klosets. Her look at the time was characteristic of the 1990s -- boxy suits and big shoulders. Since then, her style has been a mix of trend-driven outfits (she and Kourtney share a love for menswear-inspired clothing) and more practical clothes (flat boots and Converse are her running-around-town footwear). And just like her girls, she wouldn't be a Kardashian if she didn't own a bandage dress, in fact, we are convinced this family keeps Hervé Leger in business.

We can't help it, we have to say it: They're all kut from the same kloth. To celebrate Kris Jenner's 57th birthday on November 5h, we've gathered 112 fabulous photos of the momager extraordinaire.

It looks like "Revenge" just upped the ante.

After many episodes spent snooping, and having his suspicions about Fauxmanda confirmed last week, it seems like Mason Treadwell might finally have pieced together Emily's true identity, linking her to the time she spent at Allenwood detention center with Fauxmanda.

Emily's been careful enough, but it's way past time time someone put two and two together. And judging by Emily's track record, we're guessing it means that Mason isn't long for this world ...

"Revenge" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Last season on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Phaedra launched her mortuary business. This season, she decided to expand in an even less sane direction ...

“I am very interested in being the Vera Wang of funerals, so I don’t want to limit my mortician practice to just people. I want to expand it to everything that can be buried," she declared. “I see pet funerals as the new horizon for funerals and funeral services.”

We're not sure how thrilled Vera Wang would be with that comparison, but you can't fault Phaedra's work ethic, I guess ...

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Kate Gosselin Excited That Hairstylist Reopened Post-Sandy

Kate Gosselin told The Huffington Post that she didn't care about what her “haters” thought about her, which is fortunate because once again Kate finds herself in the middle of controversy, following her reaction to news that her hairdresser had regained power after Hurricane Sandy.

“BACK IN BUSINESS!!!!!!” tweeted Jason Backe, the partner of the reality star’s hairdresser, Ted Gibson, along with a picture of his salon lit up.

“HALLELUJAH! So happy!” responded an enthused Kate.

Gibson, who boasts on his website that he is “perhaps most known for toiling over the tresses of top celebrities, including Anne Hathaway, Debra Messing, Angelina Jolie, Ashley Greene, Joy Bryant, Zoe Saldana, Emma Watson, Gabrielle Union and many more,” might actually be most famous for Kate’s first major hair makeover in 2010, which took a reported 20 hours and would have cost $7,000 had the reality star not received it complimentary.

“Like many women, her hair and her hairdresser mean a great deal to her,” a friend of Kate’s tells me. “Kate spends a great deal of time and effort making sure she looks great -- that’s not a bad thing. What lady isn’t worried about her hair on a rainy, windy day? She was happy that her friend's business was up and running again. She can’t say anything without upsetting someone. It's crazy.”

However, even Kate’s loyal friend had trouble explaining the mom of eight's tweets about Sandy under the hashtag #SuperfunSandy! Ouch.

A request to Gosselin for comment has not been answered.
