Who didn't have a crush on Kelly Kapowski back in the day?

Los Angles Clippers point guard Chris Paul certainly did. And though the beloved "Saved By The Bell" character may have said goodbye to Bayside High back in 1993 (we like to pretend the "SBTB: The College Years" never happened), actress Tiffani Thiessen is keeping her memory of that love alive for some of her biggest fans, such as Paul.

The seven-time NBA All-Star was beyond thrilled to receive a signed vintage headshot of Thiessen from back in her days playing Bayside's favorite cheerleader, whom he called his "[first] love."

LeVar Burton's Kickstarter campaign to revive his beloved children's show has already exceeded its goal of raising $1 million. The success of the campaign took Burton (and the rest of the world) by surprise, and now the educational show is coming back, this time, by way of the web. But the show's new theme song has us seriously reconsidering if introducing children to Burton and the power of books is the best idea.

Funny or Die reimagined the show's iconic intro and the results were more than disturbing. From Burton manipulating the galaxies of the universe to sitting on a throne of burning books and zapping those innocent butterflies, the new tune may have revealed Burton's true intentions: to keep the power of books to himself and rule the world.

Justin Bieber Sings About Joining The KKK, Uses Racial Slur In Leaked Video

Just days after a video of a then-15-year-old Justin Bieber making a racist joke and using the N-word leaked online, a second video of Bieber (this time at age 14) singing a racist version of his tune "One Less Lonely Girl" has hit the Internet.

"One less lonely n*****. If I kill you, I'll be part of the KKK. Then there'll be one less lonely n*****," Bieber sings in the 5-year-old video while trying to stifle his laughter.

TMZ reports that the 20-year-old Canadian pop star and his team wanted this video to see the light of day because he wants to own up to what he did. A source told the website that the inspiration for the video came after Bieber saw a comedian parody his song and replaced the word "girl" with the N-word. According to TMZ, part of the reason Bieber wanted the video to get out was that he had been extorted for money over the years, but also that he wants to accept responsibility for his actions.

When the first video of Bieber using the N-word hit the Internet several days ago, he quickly responded with an apology.

"As a kid, I didn't understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt. I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn't realize at the time that it wasn't funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance," he said in a statement.

This poignant animated video of Philip Seymour Hoffman ruminating on happiness, mortality and his family is today's must-watch. Hoffman's moving words -- released as part of PBS Digital Studios' "Blank on Blank" series -- resonate in particular because of the actor's death from a drug overdose earlier this year.

"I would definitely say pleasure is not happiness," Hoffman said in the interview, which was recorded on Dec. 22, 2012. "I think I kill pleasure. Like I take too much of it, and therefore make it unpleasurable ... there is no pleasure I haven't actually made myself sick on."

Hoffman also asks himself an astute, thoughtful question: "There's a period of time in your life when I kind of look back, and I'm like, was I happy, or was I just not aware?"

Even after his death, Hoffman continues to give us all something to pause and think about.

Miranda Lambert's Private Plane Makes Emergency Landing In The Midst Of Press Tour

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Miranda Lambert's really going to need a break after an already hectic week that turned a little scary Tuesday, and Blake Shelton is prepared to provide her with one.

Lambert was already neck deep in the busiest week of the year when the private jet ferrying the country music star and her team from New York to Nashville was forced to make an emergency landing in Clarksburg, West Virginia. The plane lost pressure and spent about three hours on the ground before resuming its southward trek, said Wes Vause, Lambert's publicist. Killing time, Lambert and friends hung out with firefighters while trying on their appropriately shiny hazmat suits — Lambert's new album is named "Platinum" — and posting pictures to Instagram. They also listened to a lot of country music.

"All in all, it was a pretty good day," Vause said with a laugh.

Lambert will only get busier now that she's back in Nashville. She's in the midst of launching her fifth album and started the week with a series of appearances in New York. She'll be performing at the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday with Carrie Underwood, teaming up with Shelton on Friday at the CMA Music Festival and then traveling Saturday to Dallas to help George Strait with his final concert.

Shelton, speaking with reporters at a news conference Tuesday afternoon to promote his outdoor-stage CMT appearance and upcoming summer tour, said he's already planned out a relaxing break for Lambert when she finally gets to return to Oklahoma sometime next week. "The Voice" star said the pair owns a boat on Lake Texoma and he spent a chunk of his Sunday making sure it works before coming to Nashville.

"I'm not a mechanic, but I managed to get this thing running because I know when she gets back she's going to want to do something like that," Shelton said. "She's going to want to just go float around and drink or be pulled on a tube, something like that. So I figured I'd get me some points here and get the boat running. I'm actually proud of myself."

On June 3, photographers snapped photos as the 18-year-old model kissed the 22-year-old rapper after a lunch with friends at Sweet Butter Kitchen in Sherman Oaks, California.

Bethenny Frankel And Jason Hoppy Settle Custody Battle Over 4-Year-Old Daughter

After almost two years of bitter, drawn-out divorce proceedings, the custody portion of Bethenny Frankel's battle with Jason Hoppy has been settled. People reports that the two will share co-parenting status over four-year-old daughter Bryn.

Frankel and Hoppy filed for divorce in January 2013, after splitting just one month earlier. Frankel has since been very open about the caustic process that followed, most recently sharing that Hoppy said he was going to "destroy her."

As for the fight over their daughter, Frankel's attorney told People that she is "delighted that this custody battle has been resolved; that his co-parenting status has been acknowledged; that the parties' child will have the benefit of being raised by both parents; and most importantly, that his daughter will no longer be at the mercy of a high-profile courtroom battle."

This is really the first good news in what has been a very long process. As for the future, Frankel told Redbook it's unlikely she'll marry again. Notably, Frankel's recognition that it is "too soon to think about" remarriage is at least more optimistic than the time she compared dating after divorce to eating after food poisoning.

After ending her notoriously rocky relationship with singer-songwriter John Mayer, Katy Perry is living in the moment. In an interview with Chelsea Handler for the July issue of Cosmopolitan, the 29-year old pop sensation said she can’t get too “torn up about the past,” E! reports.

“I know it sounds really hippie-shit, but I’m living in the now and not fantasizing about the future,” the “Dark Horse” singer continued. “I’m super Eckhart Tolle.”

While the singer’s breakup with Mayer may be her most recent, it's not the first one she’s experienced in the public eye, and not the first she views as an opportunity for growth. In reference to her highly publicized split with Russell Brand back in 2012, Perry told Handler that the experience helped her define “the next boundaries in [her] love life.”

“You have to go through the mud in order to find that peaceful place,” Perry said. “In the long run, it was necessary for me to have more of a teammate.”

Mayer may not have ended up filling that role, but Perry isn’t worried about finding a future life partner. When asked how long she’s ever gone without sex, the Grammy-nominated singer replied, “Maybe six months or a year. I don’t stay single for long.”

But without any plans for the future, how does the in-the-moment pop star hope to find her next beau?

“I carry a lot of rose quartz,” she told Handler, “which attracts the male.”

Kris Jenner Addresses Kendall's Topless Photos, Raves About Her 'Perfect Body'

Kendall Jenner bared all in a recent Interview Magazine photo series, yet her mom, Kardashian family matriarch Kris, didn't seem to mind.

"She's a model and that's really her profession," Kris told HuffPost Live in an interview Thursday. "And she's really good at what she does, and she's just come off of a great fashion week."

Kendall had no problem with the shoot either, Kris said, as topless shoots "come with the territory" of modeling and the 18-year-old "just wants to do a good job."

The proud mom thinks her 18-year-old's model-esque proportions made the shoot particularly refined.

"She has like, the perfect body, especially one that wants to be in the modeling business," she said. "I don't know, I got a lot of curves and I couldn't pull that off. But she always looks remarkable."

But it's Kendall's character for which she's most grateful.

"She's got such a good heart, and she's such a good kid," she affirmed. "And she's really so happy in her own skin. She's not shy -- it doesn't bother her."

Gary Glitter Charged With Eight Child Sex Offenses

LONDON (AP) — British prosecutors say they are charging former pop star Gary Glitter with eight sex offenses involving teenage girls.

The charges against Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, are related to two women who were aged 12 and 14 at the time of the alleged offenses between 1977 and 1980. The 70-year-old was arrested in October 2012 — the first in a series of arrests under the Operation Yewtree national investigation that was launched in the wake of a child abuse scandal surrounding late BBC entertainer Jimmy Savile.

Glitter is best known for the hit "Rock & Roll (Part 2)," but he fell into disgrace after being convicted on child abuse charges in Vietnam.

He is due to appear in court in London on June 19.

'Duck Dynasty' Stars To Release 'Duck Commander' Bible In October

'Duck Dynasty' stars Phil and Alan Robertson will release their 'Duck Commander' Faith And Family Bible in October of this year, according to a statement from publisher Thomas Nelson.

Thomas Nelson publishers will release the book on October 28 with 52 Bible-reading plans from the Robertson duo. The Bible will be published in King James Version and will highlight the Robertson family's core values of faith, family, fellowship, forgiveness and freedom, according to a release from the publisher.

Also included will be a personal welcome from the Robertson father and son, 125 articles on the top 24 most-searched topics on BibleGateway, supplementary materials and "30 days of life-changing testimonials."

Robert Sanford, Vice President and Associate Publisher for Thomas Nelson’s Bible Group, said in a statement:

“We are honored and excited to be working with Phil and Al Robertson on this new Bible. The Robertson family’s passion for the Word is infectious and the impact of their ministry is amazing. We see this Bible as being something people can grow with in their own personal walk with God.”


The elder Roberston has come under attack in the past for his interpretation of the Bible regarding homosexuality and gay marriage. Paraphrasing Corinthians, Robertson said in December, "Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God."

The passage in question, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, has been debated by Bible scholars who look to the context of the ancient period to understand Paul's message -- something Robertson has not acknowledged in his anti-gay rants.

In the midst of the controversy surrounding Robertson's comments, A&E's 'Duck Dynasty' show is down 28% in overall viewership and 40% in adults 18-49 since April 2013.

Kris Jenner Can't Explain Jaden Smith's Batman Costume, But She Was Cool With It

In the midst of the secrecy and over-the-top rumors surrounding Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding came perhaps the one single thing that we knew to be true -- Jaden Smith wore a white Batman costume to both the ceremony and the reception.

Born and raised among the Hollywood elite, the 15-year-old is the son of superstar parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and a close friend of the Kardashian family. (He's also rumored to be dating Kylie Jenner). His Batman suit, however, isn't something you'd expect from an A-lister's son -- not to mention it's not the first time we've seen Jaden in a superhero costume.

Thankfully everyone's favorite momager, Kris Jenner, stopped by HuffPost Live on June 5 with not so much an explanation as much as an acknowledgement of Smith's outlandish attire.

"He is the greatest kid in the world. I'm very close to Jaden and he's like one of my own, you know," Jenner told HuffPost Live host Caitlyn Becker. "And he had this Batman costume on and I thought it was just genius. When you look at it ... it sounds just crazy. It was beautiful. He looked so good, and so fun, and he also has a really good sense of humor."

And, yes, Jenner confirmed that Jaden did indeed wear the costume the whole time.

"But actually, the Batman costume was really cool and fabulous, and it was white and it was almost like, 'Oh, there's Jaden in his Batman costume,'" Jenner explained. "It wasn't like a crazy thing. It was actually really fun, and he added such a, you know, humor to the night and it was great."

Jenner also revealed that Jaden turned out to be a bit of a hero in his own right as she misplaced the shoes she needed to wear back to Paris the morning after the wedding. Rather than slip on the seven-inch designer heels she wore for the ceremony, she turned to Smith and asked, "'Jaden, where's your Batman boots?'... And I borrowed them," she said. "So, Batman saved the day."

Basically, Jenner can't really explain why Smith chose to dress up like Batman, but she didn't hate it.
