Aaron Paul's Grand Gesture Brought His Wife To Tears

Aaron Paul isn't shy about showing his romantic side. In fact, grand gestures are kind of his thing.

Case in point? In an interview published in the February 2014 issue of Details magazine, the "Breaking Bad" star recalled the time that he sent an email to all of his wedding guests, asking them to learn the words to "Beauty" by the Shivers for a special Big Day surprise for his wife, Lauren Parsekian.

"I tracked down the lead singer in Brooklyn. He's afraid to fly, so he drove all the way to Malibu. When he got to the song and everybody else joined in, Lauren just started weeping in the most beautiful way ever. It's all about embracing those moments, throwing in surprises whenever you can."

We're not at all surprised that he would go out of his way to do something like this for his beloved "pretty bird". In August, the actor told People magazine, "I will be in the honeymoon phase until I leave this planet. Getting married to Lauren was the greatest accomplishment of my life. I will be forever grateful."

Paul and Parsekian -- who met at the Coachella Music Festival -- tied the knot in a Parisian-themed wedding in Malibu, Calif. in May 2013.

Marilyn Monroe's 'Lost Scrapbook' Photos Could Be Proof Of An Extramarital Affair

New photos of actress, model and singer Marilyn Monroe have surfaced and they may reveal the secrets of her love life.

The album, called "The Lost Scrapbook," contains photos that she hand-selected, compiled and captioned for photographer Sam Shaw. Newsweek published the photos in a special issue that was released on Jan. 9.

This collection contains many never-before-seen photos of Monroe. In one snapshot, she wears nothing but a towel, illustrating how private the album must have been. Monroe even commented on many of the photos in crayon, giving the scrapbook a truly personal and intimate feel.

Newsweek's Senior Editor Abigail Jones discussed the collection and why it might be proof that Monroe had an affair with Shaw while she was still married to Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller.

“These are the photos that she chose…. these are the feelings that she had,” Jones said. “The discovery of the scrapbook is also significant because it’s the first time we’re understanding her relationship with Sam Shaw.”

Shaw, who died in 1999, was the photographer who took the famous snapshots of Monroe in a billowing white dress, standing atop a subway grate while she filmed the movie "The Seven-Year Itch."

The scrapbook was brought to light by journalist Lawrence Schiller, who photographed Monroe while she shot her last movie, "Something's Got To Give." Schiller says that Shaw gave him the scrapbook in 1972, 10 years after Monroe's death, and even admitted that he and Monroe had an affair.

How 2013 Transformed A Great Big World Into The Next Pop Sensation

Pursuing a full-time career as a musician is a risk that pays off for few. Most spend year after year working side jobs, pouring every dollar they collect into recording, touring, and merchandise, often ending up in the red, or, if they're lucky, breaking even. Despite talent, many are forced to put down their instruments and enter a new field. But every once in a while, a confluence of frustration, sleepless nights, empty stomachs and talent makes for a perfect storm as an artist is suddenly propelled into the spotlight.

Such is the tale of A Great Big World, the rising project comprised of Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino. It all began during their college days at New York University. Axel transferred to NYU during his sophomore year, placing him in the awkward position of having missed out on freshman orientation, rendering him friendless. All Axel knew was that he wanted to make music and that he needed a partner in crime. In his search, the first person he met was Vaccarino, and, for reasons that can't be explained, he was immediately drawn to him.

Sharing a music business class, Axel approached Vaccarino with a few songs, hoping he would give them a listen. However, Vaccarino kept putting Axel off, telling him he was too busy at the moment. Determined to conquer his dodges, Axel figured out Vaccarino's practice room schedule, and gave him a performance he couldn't ignore.

"The moment I heard Ian play, I freaked out," Vaccarino said in an interview with HuffPost Entertainment. "I was like, 'We should totally be friends and start playing together.'" '

What Axel didn't expect was for his new friend to compliment his voice, as his pursuit of Vaccarino was heavily driven by the knowledge of his singing capabilities. Vaccarino's managerial instincts immediately kicked in, setting up vocal lessons for Axel. The two began writing together, working a solo career under Axel's name. They performed at open mics until they got their first solo gig, which was attended by only few friends and family.

Out of nowhere, though, their song "This Is The New Year" made its way across the Internet and received a few TV placements, garnering the attention of a small label. But as quickly as the duo picked up momentum, the fire died, bringing them back to square one.

"We didn't know how were going to pay rent or record at that point," Axel said. "We wanted to get six songs laid down and in the hands of our fans, but we needed to rebrand ourselves. We put up a Kickstarter and in only two days, we raised 22 grand. And that's why we decided to call ourselves A Great Big World."

As if their sentiment was heard by the heavens, what followed in 2013 can only be described as the most incredible year of their lives. "Glee" producers had chosen to perform their own rendition of "This Is The New Year" on the show's Jan. 31, 2013 episode, "Naked." Shortly after, L.A. Reid signed the group to Black Magnetic/Epic Records. The band headed into the studio to record their debut album, "Is There Anybody Out There?" As that wrapped up, "So You Think You Can Dance?" featured their single "Say Something" in the show's final, a cut that almost never was.

"We almost didn't put 'Say Something' on the album, wanting to switch another ballad in place of it," Vaccarino said. "But then Epic put it out as a radio single, which we were totally against at first. Most of the music on the album is really upbeat, and we just didn't think it was going to fit in."

"It was a really dark time for us, both just in difficult places even outside of relationships," Axel said. "Going through some really intense heartbreak, the song was such a cathartic experience. It was the only song we had written in a year's time, but I needed to write it right that second. Whatever spare time I had, I couldn't stop writing it. It came out so fast, and I think we found closure in the song. It isn't about hanging on in the end."

A quick glance through the song's lyrics proves that it is an anomaly among the feel-good roster of their debut, but its inclusion was essential. Soon after the "So You Think You Can Dance?" final, Axel and Vaccarino received a call from Christina Aguilera, asking if they would re-record the song with her on it. Axel performed the song with Aguilera on "The Voice," and during the American Music Awards. Then in December, Axel performed "Say Something" during the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

"I had to close my eyes for some of it because I was a little nervous and there was just so much going on," Axel said of the fashion show. "The girls were coming out with their wings and it was so dramatic and they were touching the piano. We had a couple rehearsals, but it was with the stand-ins, not the models, so I didn't know what it was really going to be like live. When I opened my eyes at the end it felt so good. It was so fun and everyone was so welcoming and supportive of what we were doing."

So what can fans expect to hear on the album, which drops on Tuesday, Jan. 21? Besides being an excellent collection of radio ready hits, one of the first things listeners will notice is that the record is very clean and simple -- almost all of the focus on the vocals and piano. Much of today's mainstream pop music has layer after layer, often creating a barrier that allows artists to hide behind. But there's no room for that on "Is There Anybody Out There?" The end of "Rockstar," the opening track, is the most congested it gets on the album. There's no synth overtones, no bass wobbles, no heavy distortion. While those elements certainly have their place in their respective genres, they can be deceiving, too. "Is There Anybody Out There?" breeds the same authentic feel of something like Ben Fold's "Songs For Silverman."

"We're really big fans of the craft of songwriting, Ian and I," Vaccarino said. "Our big goal was to deliver the songs as pure as they could be without going overboard. We want to be able to recreate this live, we want to give an accurate sonic interpretation. I would find simplicity as a compliment, things need to be effortless."

While Axel and Vaccarino struggled to find the proper words to capture the message of their album, the best comparison available was the concept of a cosmic pool of consciousness.

"It's funny that you say pool because when we write our music it feels bigger than us and it comes from everybody," Axel said. "We feel that everything is so very connected. We are wearing our hearts on our sleeves, and want to find out if anyone is listening on the other end."

After rocketing through 2013 at warp speed, Axel and Vaccarino have no intentions of slowing down in 2014, looking to bring their craft to the stage in more than one manner.

"We opened for Maroon 5 on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, giving us a taste of what it is like to perform for 8,000 people. I would love to do that nightly," Axel said. "We also have been working on a musical for over a year now. Producers on Broadway approached us with an original script after relaunching ourselves as A Great Big World, and wanted us to write the music. They asked us to make the music we would sing if we could, and so we can go a little crazier. We refer to it as 'our music on steroids.'"

"We're also kind of space nerds, and we want to play in outer space one day, but I think Lady Gaga is gonna beat us to that one," Vaccarino joked.

"Is Anybody Out There?" Track By Track, As Explained By A Great Big World

1. "Rockstar"

"We were feeling our age more than ever and feeling like we were stuck in our routines and settling on day jobs that weren't right for us. We wanted to remind ourselves to keep dreaming as big as we did when we were kids."

2. "Land of Opportunity"

"We had a falling out with a friend when we wrote this song. And were really inspired by The Beatles' 'Abbey Road' album and ELO's "Mr Blue Sky" at the time. Chad had also just started playing the trumpet again, so he took a solo!"

3. "Already Home"

"This was actually one of the first songs we ever wrote together. It was originally an Ian solo song. Over the years, we just kinda forgot about it. It was put on the back burner. It wasn't until we were choosing songs for the A Great Big World album that we stumbled upon a demo of it and it just hit us differently than it ever had. We were on the road a ton and were dealing with being away from home and loved ones. The idea is that we are always 'home.' Love transcends any distance."

4. "I Really Want It"

"We had recently quit our day jobs and were 'full-time' musicians and writers for the first time. We were stepping into a new role in life and really honing in on our dreams. This was us venting and sort of rebelling against the norm and what was expected of us. It was a way to tell ourselves that we could have it all if we wanted it."

5. "Say Something"

"We were both in a dark place with our relationships. Writing this helped us to heal and find closure. We had never had a more powerful experience writing a song. It was 'religious' in a way. It's funny ... sometimes we joke around and say that we're both the same person. The fact that we were having similar experiences at the same time and were able to write about it was very special."

6. "You'll Be Okay"

"We wrote this when we lived in a one bedroom apartment in Queens, NY. Chad was living in the kitchen, and our apartment became infested with bedbugs. For five months, Ian was sleeping on the couch (in the kitchen) and Chad was on an air mattress. It was one of the lowest points in both our lives, and we had just gotten through the 'Say Something' relationships! Thus, we felt it was appropriate for this song to follow that one."

7. "Everyone Is Gay"

"Our friends at EveryoneIsGay.com asked us to write the 'gayest song ever' for their compilation album they were putting together. They give advice to kids who are struggling with their sexuality. We wanted to speak to the kids who are bullied for being who they are, and to write a song we wish we could've had growing up. Because in the end, we're all human, no matter who you love."

8. "There Is an Answer"

"This song came from the awe that we both share at the interconnectedness of all things."

9. "I Don't Wanna Love Somebody Else"

"This was inspired by a toxic relationship that I (Chad) was in. In a weird way, I enjoyed the pain I was feeling from it. I thought it was better than feeling nothing at all. And I didn't want to let go of it. I also made up the whole thing in my head. So there's that."

10. "This Is the New Year"

"In 2008 we went to the most epic New Years party ever in the middle of nowhere, Pennsylvania. On our way back, we felt incredibly inspired by life. This song came from a place where making changes and resolutions in our lives seems to only happen once a year, and we feel like they should be and can be made every day."

11. "Shorty Don't Wait"

"Ian was playing around with the line 'Shorty don't wait' and we both thought it was the funniest thing ever for him to sing that ... and it stuck. This was just a fun tune to write and we just tried to inject some positivity into the world through a three-minute song. Ultimately, we decided Chad should sing it because the word 'shorty' sounds more natural coming from him for some reason.

12. "Cheer Up!"

"We had just visited Yosemite and saw all the stars for the first time. You just can't see any in NYC. And seeing them gave us a new perspective on everything. When we got home, I [Ian] was talking to my parents and they were stressed out about something, and I wished they could've gotten to see what we saw in Yosemite. That's what inspired this song. And also the fact that I had just gotten myself a Casio keyboard from the '80s, and also that we have a friend who we SWEAR is from another star system."

13. "Say Something ft. Christina Aguilera"

"After 'Say Something' was featured on 'So You Think You Can Dance,' it started generating some buzz. Christina heard it, called us up and wanted to record a new version as a duet. We are so grateful for what she added to the song, and for everything that happened as a result. We feel like the luckiest two guys alive."

BET Emails About Host B. Scott Suggest Network Didn't Want Him 'Looking Like A Woman'

Editor's Note: B. Scott, that who identifies as gender nonconforming, is biologically a male, but doesn't take offense to feminine pronouns. A rep for Scott told The Huffington Post that using "he" makes "it easier for people to process."

The bitter legal feud between Black Entertainment Television (BET) and gender non-conforming host B. Scott took a sour turn Thursday after leaked emails appeared to show that media company officials communicated internally over their disapproval of Scott "looking like a woman" on air.

It all started last summer when Scott was hired as a Style Stage Correspondent on the red carpet before the 2013 BET Awards in June. During the pre-show, BET reportedly "forced" Scott remove his makeup and heels. He changed his outfit but never reappeared on air.

The network later apologized for the "miscommunication," but in August, the media personality announced plans to sue BET for discrimination on the basis of gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation.

On Thursday, TMZ first published excerpts from leaked emails purportedly from BET personnel discussing Scott's appearance before and after the show.

Prior to the event, BET music programming president allegedly wrote a message saying: "I don't want 'looking like a woman B Scott.' I want tempered B Scott." Afterward, BET executives reportedly wanted to spin the incident to avoid a public relations nightmare.

"The spin should be he was late for a live show and subsequently replaced and it would have been awkward in a live show to have the person assuming his role removed and him inserted," another executive said, per TMZ. "Unless we can make public the reason we didn't want him dressed the way he normally does, I would stay away from suits, suit selections, etc."

The discussion also alleges Scott was drinking before the show and acting unprofessionally.

The Huffington Post obtained 41 pages of correspondence allegedly from BET execs. These documents included the same excerpts published by TMZ.

View some emails between BET employees about B. Scott below.

A spokeswoman for the network had no comment on the emails. However, she backed BET's stance in the legal proceedings.

"This claim has no merit and we are confident in our case," she told The Huffington Post. "We provided direction [to B. Scott] no different than other talent in similar circumstances."

Scott responded to the leaked BET emails in a post on his blog.

"The leaked email exchange between BET/Viacom personnel is both shocking, and hurtful," he wrote. "While I’m disheartened by the blatant and intentional attempt to stifle my gender identity/expression way before the day of the event, I’m also thankful that the truth is starting to surface."

"It’s a shame that a company such as BET/Viacom would rather focus energy towards slandering my reputation in an attempt to further humiliate me instead of learning from their mistakes," he continued. "The time & energy spent creating a ‘spin’ could have more effectively been used to help create a more welcoming environment for LGBTQ employees."

Kris Jenner Opens Up About Split From Bruce Jenner

Well this is refreshing -- rather than dragging her estranged husband through the mud, Kris Jenner says she and Bruce Jenner are still "best friends."

The Kardashian matriarch stopped by the Today show Tuesday to promote the ninth season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and had nothing but good things to say about her hubby, whom she publicly separated from in October after 22 years of marriage.

"We're best friends. I mean, we talk all the time," Jenner told host Carson Daly. "Right now, it's just we're happier the way that we are right now. We're really happy. Life is normal, except we're living in two different houses."

This isn't the first time Jenner has made a point to keep the separation amicable, unlike so many celebs in the midst of divorce. She previously told Kathie Lee Gifford, "We are better people and happier just spending time apart than we are spending time together. We decided this was best for our family."

Check out the video above for more from her "Today" show interview. "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" premieres January 19 and 20.

How do you sex up prison? Well, Netflix's "Orange Is the New Black" already did that in its first season with everything from lesbian chapel sex to scandalous prison guard hook-ups to a handy little screwdriver. But in the new photos from the February issue of Elle, the "OITNB" cast takes prison sexy to a new level by dropping the jumpers and slipping on something other than, well, orange.

Jenji Kohan's show was praised as one of the best new series of 2013 and as one of the best portrayals of queer women in television. Having binge-watched the entire first season, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the second, which has still yet to get a release date. But the new cast photos from Elle will likely hold "Orange" fans over till then.

Busy Philipps Still Has No Logical Explanation For Naming Her Daughter 'Cricket'

When Busy Philipps named her second daughter "Cricket" in July, everyone was really confused. "What is going on, Busy?" the world cried out in unison. "Why would you name your child after a small, chirping bug and/or bat-and-ball game popularized in Britain?!"

Amid the insanity and chaos, Philipps has emerged with an explanation of sorts.

Philipps and husband Marc Silverstein received a call from the hospital saying they needed to "come back and name [their] baby," so Silverstein suggested "Cricket" and said that “everyone likes Cricket, Cricket is just the greatest, happiest kid on the block ... she’s hot in college."

Back in August, Philipps said that her husband was also rambling about Cricket being a camp counselor: "He just loved that name. He's like, 'Cricket is the coolest girl in school. She's like the camp counselor that you have a crush on.'"

No report as to whether six-month-old Cricket has decided to go to college or become a camp counselor.

At the Television Critics Association Press Tour on Thursday (Jan. 9), Lifetime announced that it had its eye on Petals On The Wind, the sequel to V.C. Andrews' juicy, incest-filled novel Flowers In The Attic.

According to EW, screenwriter Kayla Alpert described the sequel as taking place 10 years after "Flowers In The Attic. "I’ll just say it's a very juicy and compelling revenge drama," she said.

'Parks And Recreation' Showrunner Imagines Series Ending With Hillary Clinton Cameo

Will Leslie Knope finally meet her idol Hillary Clinton? Well, if "Parks and Recreation" co-creator and showrunner Mike Schur has anything to say about she will.

In an interview celebrating the show's 100th episode, Schur tells The Hollywood Reporter what's in store for the Pawnee Parks Department. Schur reveals some interesting tidbits about the series, like what it was like writing the 100th episode with series star Amy Poehler and thoughts on a spinoff. But it's his idea that the final episode of "Parks" could have some political junkies jumping with joy.

Schur described the desired ending to The Hollywood Reporter: "I always imagined the perfect ending to the series -- and I hope it's not for a while -- would be a casual piece of B-roll where Leslie is walking through a building in Washington, D.C., and passes Hillary Clinton, and Hillary Clinton says, 'Leslie.' Leslie says, 'Secretary Clinton,' and keeps walking."

"Parks" has already scored appearances from major political figures like John McCain and Joe Biden, so could a cameo by Clinton really be all that far-fetched?

Only time will tell, but we couldn't think of a better way to send off the beloved series than with Leslie rubbing elbows with her political idol.

The 100th episode of "Parks and Recreation" airs Jan. 9 at 8:30 p.m. EST.

How This Real Life NYPD Detective Influenced Some of Today's Biggest TV Series

I recently interviewed several actors who portray law enforcement characters in TV shows premiering this month, including Tricia Helfer who plays a Texas Ranger investigating females who're driven to murder in Killer Women (January 7); Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson who play two "personally tortured" detectives in True Detective (January 12) on a murder investigation that spans 17 years; and James Purefoy who plays a serial killer whose cult is pursued by Kevin Bacon's FBI agent in The Following (January 19 special preview).

2014-01-09-truedetectiveposter2.jpg

True Detective -- Photo/HBO

From Nietzschean philosophizing cops (McConaughey) to a female Ranger, cop shows have come a long way from Dragnet's Jack Webb (1951-59) droning his catchphrase, "All we want are the facts, ma'am..."

The turning point happened in the early '70s. Forty years ago this month, back in 1974, real-life Detective Sonny Grosso was on leave of absence from the NYPD working as a technical advisor in Hollywood on the legendary cop show Kojak starring Telly "Who loves you, baby" Savalas.

Harlem-born Det. Grosso was one of the two famous cops who busted the major French Connection heroin case that was adapted to a 5-time Oscar-winning movie by director Billy Friedkin in 1971. The exploits of detectives Grosso (played by Roy Scheider) and Eddie Egan (played by Gene Hackman in an Oscar winning performance) were brought to "reel-life" by Friedkin. To bring a gritty verisimilitude to the screen, Friedkin hired Grosso and Egan as technical advisors to work closely with him and his lead actors showing them "what's what" about police work on New York's mean streets which were then rife with heroin.

2014-01-09-10299.jpg

The French Connection -- Photo/20th Century Fox

The two detectives were "still on the job" busting drug offenders during the day and then often returning at night to the "scene of the crime" to film The French Connection. Grosso recalls all that in his beguiling work-in-progress, Harlem to Hollywood: My Real to Reel Life:

We took them into the heart of darkness -- to 'shooting galleries' where addicts injected heroin. We'd kick in a door on 110th Street and Fifth and inside would be 20 people, some shooting up. Billy was shocked to see such desperation. He said, 'My god, I only live a few blocks from here!' Gene added, 'It was a life changing experience. Roy and I watched, stunned by the enormity of what was going on and what these two detectives were doing on a daily basis.' So my advisor job was to say to Billy, we don't say just 'the facts ma'am' like Dragnet, which was a good show, but nobody was buying that as being real. And by the time Billy was ready to make the movie, he'd walked in the shoes of a New York City detective. I think you can attribute the movie's authenticity to the fact that the director and actors saw it all with their own eyes.

Friedkin was so impressed with Grosso's real-life savvy from having grown up on Harlem's streets, that right after they shot the last scene, he drove Grosso to Filmways Studio at 127th Street and Second Ave. where they were doing prep work for The Godfather. Friedkin advised director Francis Ford Coppola, "You can't do a movie in New York without Grosso's gorillas." Grosso explained:

Those were my fellow cops and that was some praise. Over the next few years, I was proud to bring an element of reality as technical advisor on these groundbreaking shows. And as I moved away from the NYPD -- retiring after 22 years -- I learned how the entertainment business really worked from some of America's greatest filmmakers -- Friedkin, Coppola and producer Phil D'Antoni (Bullitt, The French Connection, The Seven-Ups) -- and how they took creative license going from real to reel.

Subsequently, Grosso became a producer in his own right, producing over 800 hours of TV shows and movies, working with a who's who list of actors while mostly dealing with law enforcement and true crime stories. Because of his contribution to The French Connection, The Godfather, Kojak and Baretta among many others, film critic/author James Monaco once noted, "Sonny Grosso has had a hand in most of the major cop films and television series of the 1970s" and he jokingly speculated that someday scholars would discuss "Grossovian subtexts" in the period's police dramas.

Still involved in the entertainment business, "true detective" Grosso holds court every Monday at Harlem's famous Rao's restaurant where he regales guests with his incredible "Harlem to Hollywood" stories. One involves the revolver he still carries today, the same one that was used by Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) in that memorable restaurant shooting in The Godfather.

"Yeah, they used my real gun," he said. "Of course, they took the real bullets out for filming. One Hollywood hotshot once came into Rao's and offered to pay me $75,000 right there for it. I said, Fuggedaboudit!"

Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street" features a lot of swear words. According to Vulture, there are 569 variations on the f-word alone, including obscene gems like "f--kity," "f--kheads" and "f--kface." Slate, in counting the f-words, found only 544, though the site acknowledged that some might have been missed. All of which is to say that this is a dirty movie! How To Be A Downtown LA Hipster, According To Patton Oswalt

Queens was the new Brooklyn. Then Compton was the new Brooklyn. Now, downtown Los Angeles is the new Brooklyn, complete with de-zoned industrial areas, an historic urban core and hipsters.

Comedian and LA resident Patton Oswalt gave friend Jerry Seinfeld a tour of America's newest emerging hipster stomping grounds during the most recent episode of Seinfeld's web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."

Uncomfortably seated at Handsome Coffee Roasters (sorry, no sweeteners served here) in rapidly gentrifying downtown LA, Oswalt laid out all the qualities one needs to fit in a downtown LA hipster -- and it's not pretty.

According to Oswalt, downtown LA's hipsters are condescending, moody and just a little bit racist. At the same time, they're impossibly hip and on the vanguard of the latest art and fashion trends, so there are pluses and minuses. We've laid out all of Oswalt's suggestions for how to become a downtown LA hipster (or how to watch out for one), with helpful illustrations for each.

According to Patton Oswalt

A French Bulldog
"You need a really overbred, not healthy dog, like a french bulldog or something that's been bred for a certain look but it's also kind of dying. When you walk it around, it has to have a harness because its neck is all messed up."

Be A Diversity-Friendly White Person
"You have to be very white, and you read Salon.com. And you're all about, I'm very, very comfortable with diversity, but secretly, you're terrified of other races."

Wear Subdued Colors
"You're serious, man. Very, very serious."

Comfy Custom Sneakers
"You need very comfortable sneakers, but they have to be the kind that you went to a pop-up store -- when they were making them custom, the designs."

A World War I British Messenger Bag
"You need like a World War I British Messenger Bag, and that's where you put you laptop in."

Operate An Etsy Store, Have A Graffitied Loft
"If you have any bright colors it's either going to be on your Etsy site or it's going to be on the graffiti art that you paid to put on the inside of your work-loft space, to show how eclectic and dangerous you are."

Seinfeld, enlightened after a crash course on downtown LA's newest residents, only has one thing to say to Oswalt:

"You've ruined this whole neighborhood for yourself, you realize that? Now you can't move down here." We have a sneaking suspicion that Oswalt is just fine with that.

After tackling the corrupt world of Wall Street, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill are teaming up again to develop a new project, but this time it's for the small screen and based in the world of hip-hop.

The "Wolf of Wall Street" duo are partnering with rapper Q-Tip for a new TV series based on his experiences with the '80s and '90s hip-hop collective Native Tongues. The collective, known for their Afrocentric lyrics, was comprised of Q-Tip's A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, the Jungle Brothers, Queen Latifah and more. The series, which will be produced by DiCaprio's production company Appian Way, will focus on the collective's friendships and the influence their music had on hip-hop culture and young rappers.

While it may seem like an odd pairing among the trio, Q-Tip and DiCaprio have actually been close friends for years. Plus, we can totally imagine DiCaprio grooving to some Native Tongues tracks.

Amanda Bynes got some good news regarding her bong-tossing debacle. The case will be dismissed from court in six months, so long as Bynes continues to receive counseling twice a week and stays out of legal trouble.

The former child star did not appear in court on Friday (Jan. 10) when her attorney, Gerald Shargel, filed an affidavit saying that she has agreed to continue her counseling in hopes of seeing the case dropped. After leaving the courthouse, Shargel told reporters, "She's making progress and we're very pleased," but that she has a "long road" ahead of her.

Bynes, 27, was charged with reckless endangerment and marijuana possession in May of 2013 after she allegedly tossed a bong out the window of her 36th-floor Manhattan apartment. She recently completed a six-month rehab stint at an inpatient facility in Malibu after being involuntarily hospitalized on a 5150 hold for starting a small fire.

She has continued her recovery with outpatient treatment and is reconnecting with her family. Bynes has expressed interest in pursuing a career in fashion.

Just when you thought all the Christmas buzz was over, Ellen DeGeneres had to go and do something adorable.

The daytime talk show host presented a new segment about celebrity Christmas stories and the first installment was her own. DeGeneres explained that her wife, Portia de Rossi, had wanted a Land Rover Defender for a while. The comedian found the car, left it in a parking lot and filmed her wife's magnificent reaction.

With rumors flying in late 2013 that DeGeneres and de Rossi's marriage was falling apart, DeGeneres was quick to set the record straight. "The only thing we ever argue about is who loves who more, it really is true," she said on her talk show.

If there are any remaining doubts of her relationship's stability, the smiles in this video will certainly clear the air.

Miley Cyrus And Britney Spears Banned From Daytime TV In France

Apparently Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears are way too sexy for France to handle -- well, at least in the daytime.

According to AP, the French broadcast watchdog Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel (CSA) has determined that Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" and Britney Spears' "Work B-tch" videos are not suitable for daytime television. The music videos may now only be shown after 10 p.m., a time when more adult-appropriate content sneaks onto the screen.

CSA said that Cyrus' naked construction swings are too sexually explicit, and that Spears' bondage in the video depicts "a sadomachistic universe representing women in a way that risks shocking many viewers."

Hilary Duff and her husband, Mike Comrie, have split.

Duff and Comrie have separated after more than three years of marriage, a rep for the actress confirms to HuffPost Celebrity. Adding, "They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time."

She tweeted to fans Friday (Jan. 10).

A source adds that there was no drama involved, the two apparently just grew apart.

"There was no major incident -– no big event between the two of them," a source told People. "They really did drift apart. They have put effort and thought into this decision for a long time. They tried couples therapy, but in the end, they realized at this time, they work better as friends. And they really are great friends."

Although the two have seemed happy recently -- going to the park and spending a fancy New Year's Eve together -- reports surfaced back in September that they were going through some struggles. Star magazine reported Duff and Comrie were on the verge of separation and attending couples therapy to attempt to work it out.

“She felt like Mike forgot how to treat her special,” a source told the tabloid.

Duff, 26, and Comrie, 33, who is a former hockey player and heir to Canada's Brick furniture company, married in August 2010. The two welcomed their first child, son Luca Cruz, in March 2012.
