'Teen Mom 2' Star Jenelle Evans To Divorce?

Newlywed Jenelle Evans is reportedly on the road to divorce -- just 26 days after tying the knot.

According to TODAY, the 20-year-old reality TV star is leaving her husband Courtland Rogers in the wake of a heated argument that erupted over the holiday season.

Celebrity website OnTheRedCarpet.com reports that the couple began "ranting about one another on Twitter" over the weekend, after Rogers spoke on the phone with his daughter, Jordan "JaJa" Lewis. The little girl is the child of Rogers and his ex-girlfriend Taylor Lewis.

At 2.50 a.m. on Dec. 30, Rogers tweeted:

TODAY reports that Evans became enraged after the conversation, believing that Rogers was "more interested" in chatting with his ex-girlfriend than with his daughter. Less than two hours after Rogers' tweet, Evans declared:

As website The Stir notes, Evans' jealousy may not be the only reason why the couple is calling it quits.

The website reports that Evans has previously accused her husband of throwing her suitcase down the stairs and hiding "serious financial issues" from her.

Struggling to come to terms with her crumbling marriage, Evans also vented her frustration on Twitter early Sunday, tweeting at her BFF/frenemy Tori Rhyne:

A few hours later, the young mom, whose son Jace turned three this year, tweeted that she was going to deactivate her Twitter account. However, her account appears active as of Monday afternoon.

The couple tied the knot in early December at a courthouse in North Carolina, just months after Evans called off her engagement to ex-boyfriend Gary Head.

Though Evans and Rogers have vowed that this is the end of the road for their relationship, TODAY speculates that this is "one on-and-off relationship that's bound to be back on again soon."

What do you think? Will Evans and Rogers reconcile or are they done for good? Tell us what you think in the comments below.

NSFW PHOTOS: The Sexiest PETA Ads Of 2012

This year, a slew of hot stars posed (and stripped) for PETA in the name of animal rights.

Elisabetta Canalis, Evelyn Lozada, Olivia Munn, Wendy Williams and others dared to bare it all for PETA's "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign.

SCROLL FOR PHOTOS (WARNING: SOME IMAGES ARE NSFW)

"I decided to go nude because I think that nudity always creates a big reaction," Canalis, Italian superstar and ex-girlfriend of actor George Clooney, explained to PETA. "That is what is required to keep people's attention on such a brutal practice... These poor animals are electrocuted, skinned alive, drowned, and bludgeoned just for the sake of fashion."

Talk show queen Wendy Williams stripped naked in support of her anti-fur stance. "PETA has proven that there is a sexy way to suggest to people to rethink the fur," she told PETA. "And I like it and I'm down." Adding, "We should all try to be comfortable in our own skin and let animals keep theirs."

Model and actress Olivia Munn's naked PETA ad was so sexy that it had to be censored in California. Only a partial nude photo of Munn appeared on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Basketball Wives" star and former fur-wearer Evelyn Lozada hopes her PETA ad makes a difference. "Hopefully, if I could change someone's mind by not wearing fur, then I've saved an animal," she said.

Michael Moore: My New Year's Resolutions

$

Happy New Year! Have you made your resolutions for 2013? Here are mine:

1. Learn the names of the people two doors down from me and invite them over for dinner.

2. Learn how to make dinner.

3. Buy a gun. Stroke it. Squeeze it. Hold it. Love it. Shoot it! Ahhhh... Buy more guns... Stroke them...

4. Stop saying, "I support the troops." I don't. I used to. I understand why so many enlisted after 9/11. Sadly, many of them were then trapped and sent off to invade Iraq. I felt for all of them. I understood those who joined because of a lousy economy. But at some point all individuals must answer for their actions, and now that we know our military leaders do things that have nothing to do with defending our lives, why would anyone sign up for this rogue organization?

5. Apologize for No. 4. I have enormous respect for anyone who would offer to sacrifice their life to defend my right to live. Is there any greater gift one can give another? It's not the troops' fault they're sent to invade other countries for dubious reasons and outright lies. It's OUR responsibility to prevent this, to elect representatives who believe in peace, and to only put our troops in harm's way when it's absolutely necessary. My uncle was killed in World War II. Today would have been his 90th birthday. My dad still misses him. Our family has served this country in the military since the Revolutionary War. None of them watch Fox News.

6. Drink more water.

7. Wear color.

8. Find the best person who can run for and win the governor's chair here in Michigan in 2014. Work every day to win back the Michigan House and Senate from its Republican majority.

9. Read more fiction. Support my local indie bookstore. Help people create Little Free Libraries and put one up in front of our theater in Traverse City. Don't use glowing screens to read books. Write the next one.

10. Keep walking, dude!

That's my list. Send me yours via Twitter and Facebook. Click here to join me on the walks. Let's be kind to each other in the coming year. And let's encourage Obama to ACT, to make history, and to be remembered as one of our greatest presidents.

Here's hoping for a peaceful 2013.

Big Change For The Oscars

LOS ANGELES — Oscar voters will have an extra day to cast their ballots.

The motion picture academy says it's extending the deadline for members to vote for the Academy Awards to Jan. 4, following criticism of its new electronic voting system.

The nominations are set to be announced Jan. 10.

Ric Roberton, chief operating officer of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, said the extension will make the transition to online balloting as smooth as possible.

The academy partnered with electronic voting firm Everyone Counts Inc. earlier this year to develop the first Oscars online voting system.

Voting in the past has been compiled strictly through paper ballots. The new system allowed members to vote either online or through the mail.

The 85th annual Academy Awards are scheduled for Feb. 24.

PHOTOS: Newly-Pregnant Kim Kardashian Does New Year's Eve In A Sheer Dress

Now that we know Kim Kardashian is pregnant, what aggressively trendy outfits is she going to wear to shroud that baby bump?

Sheer dresses, of course. Kim and her boyfriend, Kanye West, made their first public appearance since announcing their big news -- they're having a baby! -- on Monday night, attending a New Year's Eve bash at 1 OAK Las Vegas at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. The pair looked adorable as they kissed at midnight, but before they could let loose, they had to get down to business and walk that red carpet.

And walk that red carpet they did. Kim did her thang in a sheer, netted Julien MacDonald dress with strategically-placed appliqués (with a possible nude layer underneath). She finished the look off with a Lanvin purse, Martin Katz jewels and Christian Louboutin heels, natch.

The sheer sheath was a bold move for anyone carrying around a baby bump, even if it is just for 12 weeks. But we can probably expect more where that came from as Kim establishes her mom-to-be style -- we predict many sheer, cutout, leather, curve-hugging styles in this yummy mummy's future.

See pics of Kim in her show-stopping dress. Think the look works for an expectant mom?

WATCH: Taylor Swift Rocks New Year's Eve

Taylor Swift's New Year's Eve included a kiss from reported beau Harry Styles of One Direction, but also two performances. Swift ended 2012 by playing two of the biggest hits off her newest album "Red": "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Surrounding by an army of backup dancers, Swift performed the tracks with typical high energy, and even got support from "New Year's Rockin' Eve" host Ryan Seacrest and co-host Jenny McCarthy, at least from the crowd. As Zap2it notes, Swift also appeared to have help from a vocal track, but not that much: The singer's voice cracked a couple of times on high notes, lending the performance an air of live-on-stage credibility.

Kimye Baby To Arrive Ahead Of Humphries Divorce

We knew it wouldn’t be long before the baby-mama drama made its first landing.

Radar Online reports that Kim Kardashian likely will still be married to 72-day fling Kris Humphries at the time of the birth of her and Kanye West’s new baby.

Unless Kardashian submits to Humphries’ request that she admit their brief marriage was a fraud, then their divorce proceedings will still be ongoing upon the arrival of the Kimye progeny.

Seeing as Humphries’ demand is not likely to be satisfied, the divorce lawyers will reportedly set a date for the trial on a romantic Feb. 15 — one day after Kardashian and West surely find some opulent way to ring in Valentine’s Day. Because of Humphries’ basketball schedule, the earliest date that a trial could come is June. That’s around the same time that Kardashian, who is three months pregnant, is expected to give birth.

Amid the divorce proceedings, Humphries is also asking that Kardashian return the 20.5-carat, $2 million Lorraine Schwartz diamond engagement ring he gave her. Naturally, Kardashian is refusing.

Because the Kardashian camp is not giving in to Humphries’ demands, the divorce cannot be finalized until the two appear in court.

The Radar Online report comes just days after West surprised Kardashian by announcing the couple’s pregnancy during a concert in Atlantic City, N.J.

"Stop the music for a second. Stop the music," he said while performing. "Can we make some noise for my baby mama right quick?" The crowd erupted in wild cheers, and the news spread across the Internet like wildfire shortly thereafter.

The 32-year-old reality star hosted a New Year’s Eve celebriation at the Mirage in Las Vegas on Monday night, which, of course, the 35-year-old rapper attended, as did Kris Jenner, John Legend, Lance Bass, Brittny Gastineau and others.

Quentin Tarantino Knocks 'Prometheus'

Quentin Tarantino has used the "Django Unchained" press tour to hold court on a variety of issues, from John Ford to critical writers to dream collaborators to even his thoughts on "Prometheus."

The non-prequel prequel to "Alien" from director Ridley Scott was one of 2012's most discussed and debated films, with fans and detractors alike being left to scratch their heads about the blockbuster's more questionable plot turns.

"I saw 'Prometheus.' I loved it and I was disappointed at the same time," Tarantino told Colin Ferguson during a recent sit down with the late night host. "On one hand, I was a little disappointed about it. On the other hand, it was actually kind of cool to see such a big deal serious science-fiction epic by a director like Ridley Scott. There was part of it I actually did like, and overall the experience was really cool, having been in it ... there was also a lot of dumb stuff in it, though."

Tarantino went on to cite an oft-mocked scene when a scientist (played by Rafe Spall) taunts a terrifying "space cobra" with disastrous results.

Co-written by Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts, "Prometheus" earned $402 million worldwide, including $126 million in North America.

"American Idol" Season 8 winner Kris Allen landed in the emergency room on Tuesday after a New Year's car accident.

Allen and his pregnant wife, Katy, were involved in a car accident on Tuesday, MTV News reported. The head-on collision left Allen with broken arm and his wife with unspecified injuries.

His mother, Kimberly Allen, tweeted about her son's condition.

The "American Idol" alum took to Twitter to let fans know that he, his wife and their dog, Zorro, are doing okay. The singer, who won a Ford car after winning "Idol" in 2009, according to USA Today, also thanked the car manufacturer.

Allen also assured fans that the beat will go on, tweeting, "Don't worry everyone I may have broken my wrist but the #OutAliveTour is still on."

Allen is set to undergo surgery Wednesday. He is scheduled to perform in Boston on Jan. 9.

The car accident was not the only bad luck the singer has faced recently. In September, Allen split from his record label, RCA Records, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "There are so many people there that contributed to my becoming the artist that I am and I will miss them all," he said at the time. "In saying that, I am really excited about what is ahead. The path has never been clearer to me. I love what I do and I will never stop."

Hollywood Faces Fracking In 'Promised Land'

$

0

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The new movie "Promised Land" digs into the fierce national debate over fracking, the technique that's generated a boom in U.S. natural gas production while also stoking controversy over its possible impact on the environment and human health.

Written by and starring Matt Damon and John Krasinski, the film comes at an opportune time for a big-screen exploration of the issues surrounding the shale gas revolution, with cheap natural gas transforming the nation's energy landscape and "fracking" now a household word.

But viewers shouldn't necessarily expect a realistic treatment of drilling and fracking. It's not that kind of film.

____

EDITOR'S NOTE – The author, Michael Rubinkam, covers the fracking industry in Pennsylvania for The Associated Press. With "Promised Land" opening nationwide on Friday, he offers this view from the ground.

____

Lending an air of authenticity, the movie was shot in Pennsylvania, where thousands of wells have been drilled and fracked in recent years as industry heavyweights pull huge volumes of gas from the sprawling Marcellus Shale, a rock formation deep below the surface of the Earth.

But "Promised Land" spends little time explaining how energy companies actually go about pulling natural gas out of the ground, and what little explanation the movie does provide is simply not very accurate.

The Focus Features release instead concentrates on another aspect of the drilling boom – the battle for hearts and minds as gas companies seek to lease land for drilling while environmentalists warn of the perils of punching a bunch of holes in the ground. Bewildered landowners, meanwhile, are left to sort out the competing claims and counterclaims.

It's potentially fertile territory. In real life, drilling companies injected millions of dollars into moribund local economies, transforming sleepy villages in Pennsylvania and other states into boomtowns almost overnight. But the industry also sowed division, pitting neighbor against neighbor as some residents complained of ruined water wells and other environmental degradation. Many others, judging by recent public opinion surveys, heralded the prosperity that drilling creates and the abundant homegrown energy it produces.

Even here, though, the movie seeks to entertain more than enlighten, with an implausible plot twist undermining what could have been a realistic portrayal of life as it is really lived in the gas fields.

"Promised Land" follows Steve Butler (Damon), a gas company salesman who shows up in an economically struggling small town in Pennsylvania that happens to sit atop a vast reserve of gas. His task: To get residents to sign on the dotted line, promising them they'll become instant millionaires once the gas starts flowing from the shale underneath their land. Standing in his way is Dustin Noble (Krasinski), an environmental activist determined to convince townsfolk they don't want what the driller is selling.

Damon's character repeatedly points out that drilling has brought new life to struggling towns, calls U.S. reliance on foreign sources of energy "insane," and defends fracking as a technology with a proven track record of safety. And he seems to believe it himself, at least initially.

But the film leaves little doubt as to where its sympathies lie.

"Nobody's going to be disingenuous here. If you were expecting a pro-fracking movie from Matt Damon, you were probably living in an alternate universe," Focus Features CEO James Schamus said with a laugh.

But he insisted that "Promised Land" ultimately is not a movie about a highly technical process in which drillers use water, sand and chemicals to break apart gas-bearing shale rock – and it should not be judged by that standard.

"The filmmakers didn't necessarily set out to make, nor did they make, some kind of civics lesson or propaganda movie about fracking," Schamus said.

Rather, he said, the movie is a Frank Capra-style yarn about "working-class identity, about aspiration, about money and what it does to you," with fracking as the vehicle that propels the story and a healthy dose of corporate villainy.

Krasinski says he and Damon tried to avoid too much of a political message. "We really wanted to tell a story about community, about these small towns that are going through very real situations right now, especially with the economic situation as it is," he told the AP.

Yet industry groups and environmental activists alike see "Promised Land" very much as a message film about the perils of the gas boom, and are reacting accordingly.

Drillers – who mounted a furious rebuttal of "Gasland," the 2010 award-winning, anti-drilling HBO documentary – began pushing back against "Promised Land" months ago while simultaneously noting that it is indeed a work of fiction.

"We're taking it seriously, obviously, and we'll be ready to engage folks who may have questions about the development process as a result of the film. But I'm not sure anyone's losing a lot of sleep over it at this point," emailed Chris Tucker of Energy In Depth, an industry public relations group.

"They may have Matt Damon and Jim from `The Office' on their side, but we've got the facts, the science, the consensus of regulators, and a 65-year track record of performance and safety on ours. So we think that's a pretty fair fight."

The Marcellus Shale Coalition, an industry trade group, plans to run ads in 75 percent of Pennsylvania's movie theaters, encouraging "Promised Land" audiences to visit a website that it set up earlier this year to answer questions about shale gas.

"It's difficult to fact-check a work of fiction, so I don't know if we're going to be able to do that any more than we can fact-check `Batman,'" said spokesman Steve Forde. "But certainly shale gas development is generating discussion around dinner tables, it's an important discussion to have, and that's the angle we are looking at."

Environmentalists, meantime, are positively giddy over the film's depiction of an industry they view as dangerous to land, water, air and people. They are planning their own campaign around "Promised Land," including the distribution of anti-drilling leaflets, postcards and petitions to audiences leaving theaters.

Rebecca Roter, a Pennsylvania activist who has screened the film, said, "This is a precious opportunity to engage America on a national level about where their cheap natural gas energy is coming from and the associated human costs."

Anne Hathaway: 'I'm Not Cool'

Anne Hathaway might be in the running for an Oscar for her portrayal of Fantine in "Les Miserables," but the 30-year-old actress is still in disbelief that she even made it in Hollywood.

In the February issue of Harper's Bazaar, the Golden Globe-nominated star admits she is sick of playing the "bizarre-world good-girl" and no longer wants to be deemed boring.

"I'm not Rihanna. I'm not cool," Hathaway tells Harper's Bazaar, adding, "When people come up to me in the street, they often want a hug not a photo, and they want that because they like my work."

And what's so wrong with that? Well, Hathaway is still trying to get away from her "Princess Diaries" persona.

"For a long time it was me and [my manager] against the world," the newlywed, who married Adam Shulman in September, continues. "I was seen as this bizarre-world good-girl cartoon that I in no way identified with –- very vanilla, very sweet, very accessible and not interesting ... I had no grit, no sex appeal."

But after donning a skintight bodysuit for her role as Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises," it seems Hathaway's fate might be changing -- although she's still concerned she'll be tossed aside by Hollywood's young rising stars.

"It doesn't help that the new crop of girls is so gorgeous, and so 22 years old," Hathaway says of turning 30. "But I'm excited about it."

Amanda Bynes didn't have the greatest 2012, and she's kicked off 2013 in an unexpected way.

The 26-year-old, who made headlines last year for multiple car accidents and bizarre displays of behavior, shared a photo of her boobs on Instagram to celebrate the new year.

Bynes shared a close-up photo of her cleavage busting out of what possibly classifies as a shirt -- and narrowly avoided a double nip slip, writing, "Happy New Year."

Following false reports that the actress had gotten completely naked in a tanning salon, the actress defended herself and allegations of strange behavior, telling Us Weekly, "I'm not 'troubled.' I don't get naked in public. I'm 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy."

If Bynes wants her privacy, she has a strange way of showing it.

Liz Smith: Django Unchained: A Conversation With Dennis Christopher

$
0
0

"QUENTIN has an encyclopedic knowledge of film. All kinds of films. When I met with him to discuss Django he told me, 'You've been on my radar for a long time. I've seen all your movies.'

"And I said 'Come on, all my movies? You've actually seen Dead Women in Lingerie? And he said, 'Sure I have. It was a piece of shit. But you were great. Anyway, why wouldn't I see I movie titled Dead Women in Lingerie? Who could resist that?!'"

So recalls Dennis Christopher, about one of his first meetings with director/auteur Quentin Tarantino.

Dennis is perhaps still best known as cute, blond, bicycle-riding teenager in 1979's famous coming-of-age movie, Breaking Away. (Which also jump-started the careers of Dennis Quaid, Jackie Earle Haley and Hart Bocher.) But he has worked steadily since that movie, in every medium, on screens big and small (terrific in HBO's much-lauded Deadwood and on-stage, which is his first love. ("I'm just a theater rat, really.")

I had a phone chat with Dennis the other day, as he busily promotes Django Unchained, 2012's most controversial, deliriously reviewed film, starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel Johnson, and a dozen other famous names, some of whom have little more than flamboyant cameo appearances. Django is about a former slave who becomes a bounty hunter and wreaks savage revenge on his oppressors. I haven't seen it yet, but it sounds like typical Tarantino -- sometimes I can take that, sometimes I can't. I did love Inglorious Basterds, with its wicked fantasy twist on World War II, so maybe if I squint a bit during the really violent scenes, I'll get into Django. (A friend of mine said, "Liz, you will be squinting through the entire movie!")

Anyway, I found Dennis, who plays a character named Leonide Moguy, to be full of excitement, energy, super smart about show biz, and a passionate cinephile who would gladly "lock myself up with my giant monitors and DVDs -- if I didn't enjoy working so much."

SO HOW did Django come to Dennis?

I had just finished the L.A. production of The Temperamentals, trying to wind down a bit, when a script arrived at my house. There was the title, Django Unchained hand scrawled across the front, and a signature. I realized it was Quentin's own handwriting. After I pulled myself off the floor, I read the script -- and boy, people don't realize what a great writer Quentin really is. I wanted in of course, but I noticed that my character seemed to be around the same age as Leonardo DiCaprio's. I called Quentin and said, "You realize it's been 30 years since Breaking Away. And he said, 'Of, course. Don't worry. I'm re-writing it just for you. So after I picked myself and my cell-phone off the floor, we agreed to meet. My agent gave me the typical three words of encouragement agents have been giving their clients since silent movies: 'Don't blow it."

There was about a three month delay before we actually met. They were scouting for locations, Christoph Waltz had a accident. You know the usual delays that make you lose your mind.

But we did finally meet and had an incredible three-hour conversation. I was shy and in awe at first, but he was not a -- what's the male of diva, a divo? -- in any way. I was knocked over by his love and respect and knowledge about movies. I can honestly say, even if he'd decided against using me, I wouldn't have regretted one of the most stimulating afternoons of my life!

  • DENNIS laughs, "I've had a 'Zelig'-like career. I pop up unexpectedly. I'm always kind of around. I've worked with everybody from Lillian Gish (A Wedding) to Elizabeth Taylor (The Little Foxes) to Farrah Fawcett (Butterflies Are Free) and from Fellini (Fellini's Roma) to, now Tarantino."
  • MULLING his own career and what he's learned, Dennis remarked on the "rude awakening" he often has when talking with younger actors -- "They don't know who anybody is. They don't who Monty Clift is, or Marlene Dietrich or Maureen Stapleton. They won't watch anything in black and white. They have no theatrical references except for their own experiences. I mean, these are actors, with no sense of history." And with show biz history on his mind, Dennis says, "It would be a dream come true to appear on Turner Classic Movies with Robert Osborne, who is one of my heroes."

Informed historical perspective was one of the reasons it was so satisfying working with Tarantino: "He takes elements from every genre of film, all of which he understands, mixes it up and comes out with something unique, it is homage but it is unmistakably Quentin. It's so wonderful to work for somebody who doesn't have to compromise. Look, let's face it, this business is all about compromise. But Quentin doesn't have to. It frees him, and it frees his actors. I haven't experienced such a level of quality and craftsmanship on a movie in a long time. It makes you really want to come through for him.

"Toward the end of the Django there's a spectacular shoot-out. My character is involved, and a stunt person was nicely provided. But all of a sudden I thought, 'No, I want to do this myself.' And so did everybody else. Nobody wanted a stunt double. I guess once you've seen Uma Thurman beaten up endlessly in the Kill Bill movies, you think, 'If Uma can take it, what's the matter with me?!'"

  • NEXT for Dennis Christopher? "Aside from collapsing? Well, now that I am finally starting to really look my age (he is a still-boyish 57) I figure it's a new chapter in my life. I certainly hope so! Character actors have a long shelf life." Oh, and then there's that autobiography. "I should. I know I should. But the idea of sitting down with a blank computer screen staring back -- I don't think I could get past the fright."

I suggested Dennis just get a tape recorder and start talking -- he expresses himself well and fluidly; no hemming, hawing or the dreaded, "Uhhh" or "It was like, you know." All he needs is a smart editor to condense.

Dennis told me several remarkable tales of his year working with Elizabeth Taylor in The Little Foxes. More on that anon. Suffice he began his reminisce about La Liz with, "Well, as you know, she was just a great, great broad." Indeed I do, Dennis, indeed I do.

After playing shows on five previous New Year's Eves, Elliott Brood singer Casey Laforet let someone else in the family take center stage on Monday night as his son became the first baby born in Toronto this year.

The Toronto Star reports Wynn Christopher Laforet was born at St. Michael's Hospital at exactly midnight.

"They told me it was going to take longer," mother Jane Muggs told the paper. "It just sped up really fast."

"This literally happened as the ball dropped," Laforet, 36, said. "He came out as the champagne got popped."

Laforet -- who said no video could prepare him for the experience -- later signed an autograph for the doctor who delivered Wynn.

The 7-pound, 4-ounce baby was named after the couple was looking through a book entitled Rock 'n' Roll Baby Names.

"He knows how to make an entrance," Laforet said, adding he'll put a small guitar in his hands as soon as he can. "We want him to be creative. And successful at whatever he chooses to do."

The band's Twitter account had several people offering Laforet and Muggs congratulations which were retweeted. The band will play two dates at Toronto's Dakota Tavern later this month before starting a European tour in February. The band released its last studio album Days Into Years in 2011.

Kim Kardashian's unborn baby is already helping her cash in, but in a very unexpected way.

TMZ reports sales of the 32-year-old's sex tape, "Kim Kardashian Superstar," have skyrocketed since news broke that she and Kanye West are expecting their first child together.

Adult entertainment company Vivid Entertainment owns Kardashian's sex tape and told TMZ that video-on-demand purchases of the reality star's romp with then-boyfriend Ray J have spiked 80 percent since Sunday night .

According to the website, Kardashian's relationship with West (who also has his own sex tape floating around out there) has also been good for business, as the tape's overall sales have steadily increased each month since the two started dating in April.

It's not the first time that a big life event has bolstered the sales of the tape. When Kardashian said "I do" to Kris Humphries in August 2011, nearly 2 million people logged on during her wedding day weekend to watch her get it on.

TMZ also reports that Kim and Kanye have already decided their baby will never be featured on one of the family's reality shows, nor will there be a birth special (though we really doubt that Kim will keep her spawn from its reality TV destiny), but there's always the possibility a conception sex tape might "leak."
