On "America's Next Top Model: British Invasion" (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on The CW) the models took part in a photo shoot wearing Hello Kitty couture outfits.

The models were stiff and uncomfortable, with soon to be ex-photo shoot director Jay Manuel describing Eboni's performance as "terrible."

In the end, though, Eboni survived to face Tyra another day and it was fiesty plus-size model Seymone who was sent packing.

The transatlantic battle continues on "America's Next Top Model: British Invasion" every Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.

Country Star Lashes Out At Daughter

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — It's not his health but a family feud that is bothering George Jones.

The 80-year-old country star posted a video message on his website Wednesday, thanking fans as he recovers from an upper respiratory infection. He then accused his daughter Georgette Lennon of spreading lies about him on the Internet.

He was hospitalized for nearly a week last month and had to postpone shows.

"I would like to apologize for my daughter Georgette and her new husband for putting so much bad things about me on the Internet and Facebook," said Jones in the video. "None of these things are true. They are all about money. I have gave and gave until I can no longer give. I will never let her go hungry, but I am tired of putting out, and I am not the person they claim I am."

Lennon, 41, said she is "completely devastated" by his message and denies making any negative statements about him. Lennon's mother was country singer Tammy Wynette, who died in 1998.

"All I've ever wanted is to have a relationship with my dad and for him to know how much I love him and for him to love me and want to be a part of my life," she told The Associated Press. "I had hoped that we could resolve this between the two of us privately and at some point he would talk to me. Unfortunately, things have escalated even further."

Lennon said their relationship became strained a couple years ago when she became friends with her two brothers from Jones' second marriage. She said Jones had a falling out with his two sons about 20 years ago, and does not communicate with them.

She said her relationship with her father reached a breaking point last year when she was planning her Oct. 29 wedding. Her brothers were OK with not attending if it meant Jones would be there to give her away, but Lennon said she never got an answer from Jones until she saw on his website he had booked a gig on the same day. Her 18-year-old twin sons walked her down the aisle.

"It's been heartbreaking. When I lost my mom 14 years ago, I realized at that point in my life how absolutely short life is and you're not guaranteed anything, not another day. My father and I hadn't spoken in over a year at that point, and that's when I really decided I wanted to make an effort to try to mend things," she said. "My family means the world to me, and that includes my dad, and I would never say anything negative about him or (his fourth wife) Nancy...I hope at some point he will sit down and listen to me and that we can talk this out and be a family again."

Lennon believes that people have been lying to her dad about what they have seen on her Facebook account and elsewhere.

"He's been told that I have sold stories to tabloids, which obviously I have not done and I can prove that I haven't done that. I've never wanted money or anything from my father," she said.

With Jones' recent health scare, Lennon tried to reach out to no avail, and she is afraid she offended him again. She heard from a friend of the family that Jones had pneumonia and told that to fans online, asking them to send prayers his way. Jones' publicist insisted that he had only an upper respiratory infection.

She said she was not trying to make it look like he was sicker than he was or cause problems with future concert dates and ticket sales.

Lennon acknowledges the high price of fame has taken its toll on her father.

"In the past, there have been family members and there have been good friends and there have management and people on all scales of life who have taken advantage of him, and they have stolen from him and they have been nice to his face and then stabbed him in the back when he turned and walked away. So I know for him it's been very difficult to know who to trust even in your family, and that's a very sad and horrible thing to have to face."

Jones is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and is known for dozens of classic country hits like "He Stopped Loving Her Today," and "White Lightning."

Not So Posh

There's no doubt about it, Victoria Beckham is on a one-woman mission to prove that (a) she is simply hil-a-ri-ous and (b) is dead normal, like.

After a week of non-stop tweeting during her visit to Beijing (we're calling it Twittiction, if you must know) we've witnessed Posh the trolly dolly (lol!) , Posh serving coffee in Starbucks (LOL!) and now, Posh in her dressing gown and slippers (*combusts*).

Yep, behind closed doors, VB is just like the rest of us* and loves nothing more than popping on a pair of fluffy slippers and wrapping up in a dressing gown. But where we've usually got a glass of cheap plonk in our hand, for Posh it's all about the bubbles, natch.

Whatever next? I'm keeping everything crossed that she really gets stuck into that champers (she can't handle her booze, that one) and tweets photographic evidence of a drunken exploit or five. Come on VB, don't let us down.

*she isn't.

'My Mom Is Just So Jealous' On 'Toddlers & Tiaras'

Regular viewers of "Toddlers & Tiaras" (Wed, 10 p.m. ET on TLC) have grown accustomed to the questionable parenting decisions, tantrums and controversies on the show.

However, they rarely get to hear just exactly what the children themselves are thinking, so the latest episode was an eye-opener. "My mom is just so jealous to me!" said five-year-old Bridget. "She just wants to be on stage."

Meanwhile, eight-year-old Daisy Mae summed-up her view of the world: "Facial beauty is the most important thing in life."

Do you agree with HuffPost TV that Daisy Mae's comments marked the most shocking "Toddlers & Tiaras" moment yet?

“Toddlers & Tiaras” airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.

Britney Spears' Fiance Jason Trawick Officially Added As Co-Conservator

LOS ANGELES -- Britney's Spears' fiance now has the blessing of a judge to help manage the singer's personal affairs.

Jason Trawick received approval Wednesday from Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz to become a co-conservator over the Grammy-winning singer.

He joins her father Jamie Spears in that role and will have control over several decision-making aspects of her personal life but not in managing her assets.

Spears requested that Trawick join her court conservatorship a few months after the couple became engaged. They appeared in court together earlier this year, but the entertainer did not attend Wednesday's hearing.

She has been under a court-ordered conservatorship since February 2008, when her father stepped in to take control after she had been hospitalized twice and had a series of incidents involving erratic behavior.

Geraldine Wyle, an attorney for Jamie Spears, said after the hearing that her client was thrilled to have Trawick involved. Much of the hearing was closed to the public.

Trawick, who has served as Spears' agent, attended the hearing but did not comment after its conclusion.

At the request of attorneys handling the case, the judge did not consider the merits of whether to sell Spears' former home in the Hollywood Hills for more than $4 million. The sale can go forward without court approval.

The judge sealed several records related to the singer's health and settlements of lawsuits.

On the "Total Blackout" (Wed., 10 p.m. ET on Syfy) Series Premiere contestants had to take part in challenges in the dark while host Jaleel White egged them on.

Because they couldn't see anything the contestants had to rely on their other four senses, which meant their imaginations sometimes got the better of them.

So, we had hilarious freak-outs from touching a pineapple and a cleaning brush in the dark. And the challenges only got harder from there.

Eventually, the worst-performing contestant found out her fate when they all had to jump onto squares. The others landed safely, but she fell screaming through a hole in the floor.

Check out Jaleel White's fancy footwork on "Dancing With the Stars," airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. "Total Blackout" continues on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on Syfy.

Deepak Chopra: Oprah Winfrey and I in India

This Sunday, the interview I did with Oprah will premiere on Super Soul Sunday (April 29th at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network) followed by a repeat of my Lifeclass Tour: Spiritual Solutions filmed earlier at Radio City Music Hall.  It was several months ago that I received a text on my blackberry from Oprah with a short message, "Call me!"  I was in a dinner meeting and left briefly to call her.  Oprah picked up the phone and said, "I hear you are going to India and I would like to join you there and do an interview as well."  So began our adventure.

I write a regular column for the Times of India and asked Oprah if she would be willing to answer some questions so I could create her "Soul Profile."  Here is a link to the article, Embracing India, featuring her Soul Profile in the Times of India: Speaking Tree section.

We met in Mumbai at a Bollywood party hosted by one of the prominent socialites in India.  It was a beach party and every Bollywood celebrity came to meet Oprah.  It was surprising to me that she was more popular among Indians than any Hollywood A-list celebrity.  It was also surprising to me that Oprah seemed to know and recognize some of the big Bollywood stars both contemporary and vintage actors that belong to an era when I was growing up as a high school student in India.  At one point I introduced her to Shabana Azmi saying "Shabana is a classical actress who does film and theater as well."   And Oprah responded, "Yes, I know. She is like the Meryl Streep of India."  She had obviously done her homework.

Oprah spent a few days in Mumbai in different settings including a visit to Dharavi slum, which is the locale of the now famous "Slumdog Millionaire."  I next caught up with Oprah at the Jaipur Film Festival, which  over the  period of a week has over 20,000 visitors and some of the greatest writers from the world - Pulitzer Prize winners, political commentators, journalists many intellectuals, but also a sizable number of pseudo-intellectuals and snobs. Oprah was interviewed on stage to a packed audience of  several thousand intellectuals, artists and writers.  The interviewer was a prominent Indian journalist, but it was clear that Oprah was the star.  The discussion was open and relaxed covering a wide range of topics.  She was candid in talking about her personal history and also made it obvious that she had an in-depth understanding of the literary scene and the global political landscape.  Her talk was televised throughout the country and has had several repeat airings.  India cannot get enough of her.

Oprah, along with my wife and I, was also hosted at the Jaipur Palace by the Maharani of Jaipur and the Princess of Jaipur.  We were regally escorted into the palace in chariots with the royal soldiers playing bagpipes, painted elephants, and camels leading the way.  As we passed through the ramparts of the palace walls under beautiful Mogul style architectural arches, dancing girls from rooftops sprinkled rose petals on us.  Upon entering the palace we were greeted and garlanded by the Queen and the Princess.  The Queen was dressed in elegant white but without makeup as she was officially in mourning as her husband the Maharaja had passed away a few months ago.  Princess Dia, on the other hand, was decked with jewels and wore a glamorous sari.  A slightly incongruous part of the scene was that she held a traditional flower garland in one hand and a Blackberry phone in the other.  We had a sit down dinner on a Lalique table with the royalty of Jaipur, but also Kings, Queens, and Princesses from other royal states. The conversation ranged from politics to the history of the British Empire in India and colonial times to social issues including the work done by Indian nonprofits in the area of social justice, elimination of poverty and strengthening India's democracy as it is becoming an emerging global influence.

During her stay in India, Oprah also visited the Taj Mahal in Agra, the Widows Colony in Uttar Pradesh and other social organizations dealing with empowerment of women and working towards the elimination of radical poverty.

My interview with Oprah was filmed in the courtyard of the palace with a 15th century court build by a Mogul emperor with red sandstone in the background.  The interview was spontaneous and she asked me about my early life, my parents, immigration to the US, my training as a medical doctor, and my subsequent journey into the world of consciousness, healing and spirituality.  There was no preparation. Both the questions and answers were spontaneous, but it was one of the most in-depth and enjoyable interviews of my life.  This is the interview you will be seeing on Super Soul Sunday (April 29th at 11am ET/10am CT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network).  I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed doing it.

As I have followed up the India interview with now several filmed interviews in New York and Toronto, I continue to be amazed at the depth of Oprah Winfrey. She has an remarkable grasp of people, their personal struggles and what matters most to them.  She has an amazing ability to connect with them and bring them both solace and self-awareness.  Oprah is extremely well informed about everything that is happening in the world of entertainment, education, the arts, and even some of the cutting edge research happening in the field of neuroscience, physics and cosmology.  It is my hope that as I find myself collaborating with her on spiritual, scientific or philosophical topics, that we will explore together the mystery of our existence, and then share our insights and reflections with the world.

Aziz Ansari v. 'G.I. Joe'

Aziz Ansari had a pretty hilarious take on the new "G.I. Joe" trailer, taking to Twitter to share his reactions as he watched .

The trailer for "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" hit the web yesterday, and we already took a turn noting some of the clip's cheesy (but awesome!) lines. Among the most notable lines: "What if the president isn't the president?" "This is it, boys. This is what we waited for." And, perhaps most memorably: "Boom."

Though Ansari's tweets are sure to please his fans, they raise an interesting point: Will movie studios soon be paying comics and other celebrities to draw attentions to their trailers? We've already seen a huge increase in pre-release footage, with teasers for trailers and stills seemingly being released every single day. And, of course, no one would be surprised if studios are calling in favors from celebrities in their wheelhouses.

Take a look at Aziz's tweets and let us know what you think in the comments.

You know what it's like. You're out and about without a toilet in sight and your bladder is about to burst, so obviously the normal thing to do is to pull your pants down in the middle of the street and have a quick wee.

Isn't that right Ke$ha?

But if that wasn't enough to make you seriously grossed out, the popstar posted this picture of herself squatting with her trousers down.

Ew, ew and ew.

She tweeted: "Pee pee on the street. PoPo come n get me if you can find meeee. I blame traffik."

Ke$ha has a bit of a rep for not doing her business in the right places though as in 2009 Lily Allen told the press of how she caught her having a wee in a sink at a party.

"When you've got to go, you've got to go, girls," The Mirror quotes her as saying, to which Lily responded: "Now even I couldn't do that. Oh my God."

Real classy.

Joan Rivers (age 78) stopped by "Hot In Cleveland" (Wed., 10 p.m. ET on TV Land) for a guest spot in which she played Elka's (Betty White, age 90) estranged twin sister.

Of course, the pair look nothing alike, so, riffing on River's legendary love affair with plastic surgery, Elka asked her sister: "What have you done to our face?"

To which Rivers replied:"Me? What about you? Natural ageing? Disgusting!"

So, what had happened to the famous Ostrovsky neck freckle? "Please," joked Rivers. "After five facelifts, it's on my forehead!"

Myra Chanin: Raconteur and Barry Manilow Lyricist Marty Panzer Offers Weird Proof That a Wonderful Life Can Begin at 18

$

Google Marty Panzer and you'll be convinced that he was born in the CBS Mailroom at the age of 18, and he may well may have been, in the sense that the CBS Mailroom was where he began to first feel alive.

Up 'til then Marty had no identity, felt that he had no talents, no direction, no ambition, and had no idea what he was going to do with his life. A family friend told Marty to get a job in the CBS Mailroom and that he would find his path in life there. And he did. There isn't much info about his life before that on the Internet so I asked about it and he told me. Marty has a much older brother who was married by the time Marty was six, which is when his mother became a widow. "It was just Mom and I in Williamsburg." He truly loved his mother, who "gave me nothing but love and affection," and credits her with making him a loving, positive, optimistic person. He wrote his first hit about her -- I am Your Child -- a song which was adopted by Rob Reiner to help build his I Am A Child Foundation.

During his first day in the mailroom Marty noticed a familiar face. It belonged to Barry Manilow, who had graduated from Brooklyn's Eastern District High School -- Marty's Alma Mater -- the previous year and had been toiling in the CBS mailroom for six months. Manilow had enough talent, direction and ambition to sustain a battalion and he and Marty, who had known each other casually before, gradually became close friends. Marty established his career at CBS-TV as Manager of Air Control on-Air Operations where he was involved in setting up the format for the first Superbowl, the first lunar landing and countless news and sports events. "I expected to stay at CBS for the rest of my life," and then Barry, who'd established himself musically, asked Marty to help him write a commercial jingle on spec for Cup-a-Soup. It was a success and started Marty on a commercial career with Barry.

Thanks to Barry, Marty discovered he did have talent for writing lyrics and in the ensuing 48 years he has written about 100 lyrics for Manilow tunes, many of them major hits, plus over 100 lyrics for Disney Songs, and a variety of songs with other people like Don Grady, of "My Three Sons."

Barry and Marty are still best friends and according to Marty "nothing is better than working with your best friend." Here's how they work. Marty write lyrics for a year and shows them all to Barry when they get together. Barry prefers to see the lyrics first. He writes the music after he decides which lyrics work for him.

Living in LaLa Land among the musicrati has given Marty a slew of stories well worth retelling, which Marty will be raconteur-ing: wonderfully hilarious, honest and touching stories about his musical and non-musical adventures with Kenny Rogers, Julio Iglesias, Michael Crawford, Dianne Schuur et al. at the Triad Theater at 158 West 72nd in Manhattan on April 27 (Completely Sold Out Already) and April 28th at 7:30.

He loves writing sons for the Disney Princesses. "Disney is always optimistic. It's one of last places where you can write about love and faith in the future."

Marty's favorite lyric? All the Time, which is about feeling like an outsider, a feeling which everyone shares at least once in a lifetime.

All the time I thought there's only me
Crazy in a way that no one else could be
I can't believe that you were somewhere, too
Thinking all the time there's only you
All the time, all the wasted time
All the years waiting for a sign
To think I had it all
All the time

You say you're not satisfied? You say you want more for your money? Tell you what I'm gonna do. Attending Marty's show is also a mitzvah; this show is a Benefit for the Manilow Music Project. And because it's being produced by Pat Addiss, who brought you Promises, Promises, Spring Awakening, The 39 Steps, War Horse, etc., Broadway notables like Tony winner Katie Finneran, Santino Fontana, Brent Barrett, Andrea Burns plus surprise guests will be singing the songs that Marty will be talking about. FYI, the reason Pat is producing Marty's show is because after she was introduced to Marty by a friend who thought they would enjoy each other, Pat found his stories so enchanting, she decided to share them and him with you, me and the world.

Lindsay Lohan Reportedly A 'Nightmare' On 'Glee' Set

We're rooting for Lindsay Lohan's comeback, but she's making it really hard for us!

The 25-year-old actress is having trouble understanding what she needs to do to get her career back on track: show up on time, be pleasant, be professional and know her lines.

Lohan already bombed as host of "Saturday Night Live" and her guest appearance on "Glee" isn't going any better, reports E! News.

In true Lohan fashion, the actress was "incredibly late" and the production had to send a car to the Chateau Marmont hotel, to bring her to the set, sources told the website.

"Lindsay was a total nightmare yesterday," one insider told E! News. "She was three hours late in the morning, and when she did finally arrive, she just didn't want to be there. She did not want to work. She had not memorized her lines, and she kept disappearing so no one could find her."

Lohan reportedly made a good first impression with the "Glee" camp when she had to film a lengthy scene last week, but no one has the time or the tolerance for her antics. A source told E! News that some of the crew have even given Lohan a nickname -- "That Girl," adding, "She has rubbed them all the wrong way by being so disrespectful of everyone else's schedule."

Sources also tell Us Weekly that in addition to showing up late, she also made a ton of demands. "One of her demands has to do with her trailer size," hints the insider. "The cast is already worked to death and then she puts everything behind. She is a diva!"

A rather bitter tweet from actress Dot Marie Jones offered proof that the cast wasn't impressed by Lohan's tardiness.

"Gonna be a long day!! Some ppl show up late and just throw a wrench in things. Not cool! I'd rather be an hour early (I was) than 5 minutes late," she complained, though she later deleted the tweet.

So why was Lohan late? A "misunderstanding," of course. Lindsay's rep Steve Honig insists there was a mixup about the call time, and defended his client, telling E! that any claims of problems on yesterday's set are "utter B.S."

"This is a classic example of people trying to bash Lindsay. She busted her ass yesterday and is back on set again today," he said.

If Lindsay really wants a shot at making a comeback, we suggest she invest in a good alarm clock or an assistant who can get her to set on time!

Reyne Haines: Celebrity Collector: Setorii Pond

When I was a little girl, I rarely played with Barbies. I was all about matchbox cars, playing with lizards and beating my brother at a game of football.

As I grew older, I found high heels and flowing dresses to speak to me over sports jerseys and basketball shorts, but my tomboy roots were never far away. To this day, I have a stylist to do my hair and makeup when on TV, and I cannot put together an outfit beyond jeans and a T-shirt to save my life. I've dreamt many times about being a fashion designer, but runway model was as close as I got. Let's just say I can sell a painting, but don't hand me the brushes and a canvas.

Over the years my passion for cars has awarded me with clients who have hired me to manage their car collections. I've been responsible for acquiring cars, and thinning down the herd. As with any collection, it's always interesting to see what caught the eye of another collector. Exotics, antiques, muscle cars... you name it. I've been involved in a little of it all. So when I learned about Setorii Pond and the Pond Collection, well... I think I squealed!

Setorii, as you know, is an amazing LA fashion designer. Setorii Couture has been seen on the cover of numerous magazines, fashion shows and on the backs of many celebrities. Let's just say she is doing her part at keeping America beautiful. Did I mention she is young and beautiful? As if those things weren't enough, she also happens to have one of the top car collections in California, if not the country!

Pretty girl + car fetish = Reyne's hero. All I know is after my hour long conversation talking about her collecting passions; I decided I wanted to be her when I grow up. Read on...

RH: I've interviewed a few car collectors at this point, all of them were men. As most of my readers know, I'm an avid car enthusiast and was so excited to talk to another female collector! My passion started with my mother. She loved cars and raced and showed them when I was younger. How did you get the collecting bug?

POND: I have loved cars and planes ever since I could crawl. I was raised by my grandparents since I was 2 years-old and my grandfather had a love for both aviation and cars. MygGrandfather was larger than life in my eyes and watching my grandparents as I grew up, I was constantly going to air shows, car auctions, car shows and learning to drive in each car I encountered. I love the beauty of the automobile, the history of each make and model, the details which made each so unique and the excitement of discovering then adding a new art piece to the collection was always thrilling. It has become an inimitable passion of mine. So many cars have an exquisite beauty and I found myself drawn to the quintessence of the automobile. Each car is its own work of art, each one is not only wondrous but uniquely special when you pay attention to the details and it is the details which continue to captivate me. The designs, the craftsmanship and the journey of the automobile's creation is sublimely fascinating.

RH: Cars AND planes. I'm thinking you need motorcycles too! Your first car was a Mustang... so was mine. Do you still have it? What was it that made you love that car?

POND: My first car was a 1964 1/2 Mustang. It was a great first car. I was living in Palm Springs and it was a convertible. Honestly it was not the most attractive color, it was a brick brown with an orange hue to it so the color threw me off a bit in the beginning and with no air conditioning made the car a bit difficult since the desert can reach about 123 in the summer and most of the year it is quite hot. One day I began noticing a quickly growing trend of appreciative attention forwards the car from boys and men, so I disregarded my hasty "girly" boxed thinking of the color being unattractive and saw things from a whole new perspective. Needless to say my growing desire of cars then took off into a whole new altitude. So I have the "men" of the world to thank for that. [*blushing and laughing*] Unfortunately as much as I loved the car, I do not have it anymore.

2012-04-26-setorii3.png

RH: I no longer have my Mustang either. Then again, there are several cars I have had that I wished I still owned. How long have you been collecting and how many cars do you currently have in your collection?

POND: My grandparents and I collected the cars together, it was our hobby and one of our family past times we shared together. I feel I am a bit of a tyro collector but my continuous eagerness to learn about cars is an ongoing passion of mine. I am honored to follow in my grandfather's footsteps, there are currently 110 cars in the Pond Car Collection and the WWII Warbird Airplane Collection is at the Palm Springs Air museum.

RH: You have a collection of planes too? Exciting!!! I read somewhere you believe cars should be driven and not just owned. It must take a team of people to keep your collection in working order. I am constantly telling people that storage of collections is extremely important. Whether you have a passion for fine art, or 18th century furniture, each comes with their own issues. Tell me more about what it takes to keep your collection in tip top shape.

2012-04-26-setorii2.jpg

POND: I am flummoxed by how people can buy a car and just let them sit in a garage or a museum. What could be more fun than hopping into a car and enjoying its own individual driving experience it offers you? Each car has its own panache, it's own driving style and its own story. That being said, maintenance is quite tiresome since there are so many different makes and models, it takes quite a skilled mechanic with extensive knowledge to keep the collection in tip top shape. The cars need to be consistently driven, which I love to do. As you can imagine having cars which are more historical or unique make it much harder to find parts to restore things which need to be work on. For example, it's not as easy to find a tire for a Vector when I have a flat tire. We have been fortunate through the years to have found some amazing mechanics which have helped keep the collection maintained well but even with the best you cannot always rely on others, sometimes you have to get your hands dirty too... that's part of the fun.

RH: If you need someone to come drive them for you, well... you have my number! With 110 cars in the collection, is there any one you covet but have yet to acquire?

POND: I certainly do not have it all... I feel my life is just beginning and my automobile diaries are just beginning to turn a new leaf. With so many options to choose from, how can I limit myself to one or a select few? I feel that it will be an ongoing life passion and love affair that I will share with cars, the memories of my upbringing and my new blossoming automotive adulation. Although there are a few cars in Ralph Lauren, Jay Leno and Seinfeld's garage which I wouldn't mind driving... I would love to learn to drift and I certainly have my eyes on a few cars I would love to try in the Gumball Rally.

RH: I knew Ralph Lauren collected antiques, but I was not aware of his car interests. Hmmm... another fashion designer with a penchant for cars. I'm seeing a trend. Tell me about your new book. It's a mix between fashion and cars. Elaborate!

2012-04-26-setorii4.jpg

POND: I wanted to create a book which encompassed two passions of mine: fashion and the car collection. Hoping to become more of a voice in: the automotive industry, in the luxury lifestyle platform and collector's space's since there are very few female voices in these industries, I designed a fashion collection inspired by the car collection. The folds in my fabrics, the simplistic beauty of the gowns and the array of colors were all created from my labor of love. I wanted to photograph the cars with elegant fashion models draped in the fabrics and designs to be a bit of eye candy to any car lover's coffee table, computer, iPad. I have more of what you could say is a romantic point of view and feel that there is already beauty, respect and adoration in the simplicity of the curvature, design aesthetic and purity of each car. That being said, I felt there was a bit of a void in the creativity space of photographing cars, so by intermixing: beautiful women, hand crafted fashion and my personal car collection together I hope to ignite a simply beautiful yet innocently suggestive new vision of how to look and admire cars, collections and more. My book is titled, The Art of Setorii and hope you will enjoy it as much as I loved creating it.

RH: Have you ever seen the beauty in the design of a car, and used it in your clothing line?

POND: Each car in the car collection inspired me. The Pond Collection has such panoply of different models, styles, shapes, colors and years of history. I felt it was important for me to try to capture the beauty of the automobile and the elegance of the ride transpired through my design ascetic, the grills inspired the folds in my fabric, the simplistic beauty and bold colors of the automobiles shine through my designs. You can see some of my work at: www.setorii.com and a few cars from the collection on: www.thepondcollection.com although Setorii.com will be housing all of the new content from the book and my future projects with cars, collections and more.

No doubt, we will be hearing a LOT more about Ms. Pond in the future!

Kim Zolciak Explains Why She And Nene Leakes Aren't Friends Anymore

It's no secret that neither Kim Zolciak or Wendy Williams are members of the NeNe Leakes fan club. Zolciak has spent several seasons of "The Real Housewives Of Atlanta" feuding with Leakes, and Wendy has been watching the developments closely and taking notes. Thursday on "The Wendy Williams Show" (weekdays on Fox) they unloaded on the polarizing reality star.

The gossip session started when Wendy asked Zolciak why Leakes wasn't invited to her wedding."She's really changed, and she's not funny to me anywhere," Zolciak said. "She used to be really funny."

"She's not funny to many of us either, it's more like mean-spirited," Williams agreed, before implying that Leakes' reality TV fame had gone to her head.

Zolciak then detailed the specific reason why reconciling with Leakes seems unlikely to happen. "I think the problem with NeNe honestly is that Nene doesn't have the tools to communicate effectively. And if NeNe could really sit there and talk to me and communicate ... Like, people get in arguments with my girlfriends and you disagree, but you can't get loud and violent, that's a problem. If she had the tools to communicate effectively and kind of work through things, then there's a possibility that I'd sit down and have a conversation."

The first trailer for MTV's "Snooki & JWoww" is here and Snooki's bows are bigger, JWoww's skin is paler and this buzzed about pregnancy is real-er than ever before.

In the two-minute preview for the "Jersey Shore" spinoff, which premieres Thursday, June 21 at 10 p.m. ET, the MTV reality TV stars declare their love for each other -- "Jenni is my best friend" and "[Snooki] can lift my spirit at the drop of a hat" -- and decide to move in together. They "opt" for Jersey City to "look" for apartments -- though this seems to be staged since fans know what went into finding a location for this long awaited-spinoff.

After they find a place, Snooki drops the bomb that she's pregnant ... and engaged.

"How'd this happen?" JWoww asks. "Sex," Snooki frankly replies. "Honestly, I didn't even know that I could make a baby. So the fact that I can reproduce is very scary."

We can always count on Snooki to say what we're thinking. Check out the trailer below!

'Fringe' Renewed For Fifth And Final Season

"Fringe" fans, consider yourselves lucky: Fox's trippy sci-fi drama has been renewed for a 13-episode fifth and final season.

The show, which has been plagued with middling ratings from the start, has seen an uptick in DVR numbers since its move to Friday nights, but the renewal can largely be attributed to massive support, from fans, critics and the bosses at Fox.

“'Fringe' has been a point of pride for me," said Fox president of entertainment Kevin Reilly at the Television Critics Association press tour in January. "I share the fans’ passion for the show.”

And passionate fans will have to agree that 13 more episodes will definitely help wrap things up -- although with multiple universes, a few different timelines and a couple of versions of each main character, it's anybody's guess how things will end for the Fringe Division we know and love.

“We are thrilled and beyond grateful that Fox -- and our fans -- have made the impossible possible: 'Fringe' will continue into a fifth season that will allow the series to conclude in a wild and thrilling way,” series co-creator/executive producer J.J. Abrams said in the press release announcement.

Producers Joel Wyman and Jeff Pinkner tweeted out their excitement and thanks when the news broke:

And there's already a Season 5 trailer! Watch it here:

WATCH: Gabourey Sidibe: Joan Cusack Told Me To Quit Show Business

Gabourey Sidibe may have been nominated for an Academy Award for her title role in 2009's "Precious," but that doesn't mean everyone in Hollywood knows who she is just yet. In fact, on Wednesday's "Watch What Happens Live," the actress revealed a major diss she received from actress Joan Cusack, albeit before she made it big.

In the show's "Plead the Fifth" segment, host Andy Cohen asked Sidibe, "What celebrity were you most disappointed by when you finally met them?"

Sidibe said it was none other than Cusack, who didn't know who Sidibe was and even told her to quit her job!

"What celebrity was I disappointed by? Oh, and it's not in a mean way, because I know that she meant well. I met Joan Cusack, who is my favorite favorite -- I love her -- but, it was before I became [famous] or whatever. I was at some industry party, and she says, 'Are you an actress?' And I said, 'Yeah!' And she says, 'Oh honey, you should really quit the business, it's so image-conscious.'"

Sidibe assured everyone that Cusack meant the comment in a positive way, but it was still disappointing.

For more from Sidibe, head over to "Watch What Happens Live."

James A. Fragale: Books You Hold in Your Hand

During an interview with humorist Buck Henry for The Writer's Digest, as we discussed our reading preferences, the actor-writer put forth this curious theory: "There are shrinks who say that the need to carry reading is a surrogate masturbatory act; a defensive mechanism to protect against continual masturbation... " As tantalizing as it might be, I suspect sometimes an avid reader is just a cigar -- which brings me to electronic devices. After much trepidation, I'm finally shopping for an electronic reader. ("They" are making it awfully attractive and appealing to own an e-reader). But, I ask, do I want to join the legion of hip New Yorkers on public transportation and nice streets, glued to electronic gadgets? Maybe. Before I take on a new obsession, I'd like to share the last few conventional books on which I turned the pages -- the old-fashioned way.

Ponies and Rainbows -- The Life of James Kirkwood by Sean Egan. James (Jimmy) Kirkwood was a friend. Once, at Ted Hook's Backstage Restaurant, he said to me, "I bat a thousand. Everything I've ever written has been published, produced, or put on." As a struggling, young writer, that was depressing to me. Recently, a British company released a biography on the late writer, a Valentine, really. And, I've seen little press on that effort. An opening quibble, there's very little in the book on Kirkwood's glitzy, Hollywood parents, both silent screen stars James Kirkwood Sr. and Lila Lee. (There's a street called Kirkwood in Los Angeles. I've always wondered if it was named for Kirkwood Sr.). I did run across a slight online review of British writer Sean Egan's effort on Kirkwood by Richard Seff for "DC Theatre Scene" dated March 8, 2012.

Noteworthy: James Kirkwood won the Pulitzer Prize in 1975, as well as the Tony Award, as co-writer of Broadway's legendary A Chorus Line. That fortuitous co-writing assignment made him a millionaire. His other works include five published novels, four produced plays, and three non-fiction volumes. One semi-autobiographical novel, There Must Be a Pony, was made into a television movie starring Elizabeth Taylor and Robert Wagner. The Sean Egan biography, a product of 60 interviews, weighs in on recreational drugs, ample sex with both men and women, and other brief detours -- which led him, ultimately, Egan reports, to a place on the "List of AIDS fatalities." James Kirkwood Jr. died in 1989 at the age of 64 in New York of an AIDS-related illness. Wikipedia reads spinal cancer.

Footnote: I do think $32.95 is way too much to ask for the book.

One of the most filmable novels ever written is James Baldwin's impelling Another Country. As he would have it, Baldwin stipulated in his iron-clad will: None of his twenty or so creative efforts were to be made into films and his heirs have respected his wishes -- thus far. But the world won't let go. The intense Another Country, completed in Istanbul on Dec. 10, 1961, still gets press and continues to attract new fans. The New York Times recently featured the novel two consecutive Sundays citing Mad Men as its impetus. Another Country is a touching tale that rummages through sex, incest, suicide, jazz, homosexuality, adultery, bigotry, work, and more (what's left?). The story is chocked full of life and forces the reader to feel something on every page. Heck, even actress Rosie Perez selected it as one of her most loved books in the New York Post's "In my library" column not long ago. We haven't heard the last word on Another Country.

From The New York Times' Big City Book Club:

Our next selection is James Baldwin's 1962 novel, "Another Country," which chronicles the descent of jazz drummer Rufus Scott. Baldwin recreates the world of Greenwich Village bohemians for an examination of race, emotional denial, professional rivalry, tortured marriages and other subjects.

Another page-turner that falls into the category of 'it should be a movie' right now is Daniel Silva's Rembrandt Affair (Putnam Publishing). Succinctly, the many-layered narrative includes selling sophisticated military secrets to Iran and a plot twist that could have been snatched from today's headline. Rembrandt Affair is a spy thriller immersed in works of art, World War II, Nazis stealing masterpieces, and the selling of "centrifuges" to Iran by a truly evil, but stylishly attractive, powerful Swiss millionaire -- a model citizen who is known for his good works. The centrifuges MacGuffin would make Hitchcock cheer. I was intrigued by every page, every complex character. I hear Johnny Depp owns the rights and can't confirm that. Published in 2010 and a New York Times bestseller -- again, I asked: Why isn't this on the screen today? I hope they don't wait too long.

Not to everyone's taste, but delicious with every salacious detail: Full Service, My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars, by Scotty Bowers with Lionel Friedberg. The photographs alone are worth the price of admission. I first heard about this tell-all in The New York Times. It got ample coverage there, and not in the book section. The Times said: an "... unorthodox life... pretty shocking... a ribald memoir... lurid... no detail too excruciating..." The preface of the 287-page memoir tells us the Scotty Bowers was discharged from the U.S. Marines at the end of World War II and moved to Hollywood. He got a job in a gas station and in that preface he boasts he "knew Hollywood like no one else knew it." He reminisces about "dear and wonderful friends... Kate, Spence, Judy, Tyrone, George, Cary, Rita, Charles, Randolph, Edith, Vivien... " On page one, we're in Los Angeles, it's 1946 and Bowers is a handsome 23-year-old ex-Marine. On page two, he's "approached" by "none other than actor Walter Pidgeon" ("Mrs. Miniver").

And, we're off: He soon drops Gore Vidal's name. Then, subsequently, he backtracks to shore leaves in 1944 when he had what he calls "flings" with Cary Grant and Randolph Scott, and reports he saw "Marion Davies... again." Soon, he reveals composer Cole Porter could take on several ex-Marines at one time and that Porter had a passion for oral sex -- could do twenty guys in an evening. In a chapter called "Star Treatment," the book heats up with director George Cukor's take on Katharine Hepburn and her short haircut, "boyish... wearing a suit and trousers... masculine..." and, for bad measure, throws in Cukor's initial dislike of Katherine Hepburn. Next, Cukor's description of Judy Garland: "That dreadful woman!" And, for bad measure, surprising (shocking?) news about Tyrone Power. He claims Cary Grant and Randolph Scott -- he calls Randolph Scott "Randy" -- shared a house together, Grant at 40; Scott at 46.

Katherine Hepburn gets it again. He goes on to say Hepburn and Spencer Tracy were not having an affair -- that Tracy actually found her "rude." Yes, Bowers procured girls for Hepburn -- nice young dark-haired, not too heavily made up. Hepburn had a blemished face, he reveals, twice. Howard Hughes makes an appearance about now, and Bowers arranged ladies for Hughes who hardly ever had sex with them as "the tiniest blemish or pimple put him off."; also Errol Flynn, who was "dashingly handsome" but, Flynn drank so much the "very young" girls procured for him rarely got any action. He found Rita Hayworth, "a very beautiful woman" and cheap. Her brother Eduardo, delivered papers in the Hollywood Hills in a "beat up old World War II Jeep" and Rita neither contributed a dime to his welfare nor much-needed Jeep repairs. Bowers describes Rita Hayworth as a "hardheaded woman... with a mean and stingy streak... " Jumping ahead to Chapter 13: Scotty Bowers bartended a party for Cary Grant and "Randy" Scott at their place behind the Chateau Marmot.

Another leap forward, Scotty Bowers trots out Wallis Simpson and Edward, The Duke and Duchess of Windsor. He said Edward was a classic case of a bisexual man; he refers to Edward as Eddie and Wallis as Wally, and, he adds Wallis was "a dyke." It's in the book! Pressing forward, a Section called "Myths," we're back to hapless Spencer Tracy and an evening where Tracy downs several bottles of Scotch. Other than Errol Flynn, he never saw anyone consume as much as Tracy in one evening. The night in question, Tracy happened to be reading a script for a feature he was about to make with Hepburn called Pat and Mike. During the course of the evening, Tracy complained about Hepburn and other slurred topics. Ultimately, the two men wound up in bed where Tracy nibbled on Scotty's "foreskin." And, despite Tracy's state, they had about "an hour... of good sex." In the middle of the night, Tracy woke up and couldn't find his way to the bathroom and urinated on the drapes as well as into an open closet. The next morning, none of the previous evening's shenanigans was mentioned. They remain drinking buddies.

Succinctly, Who's who and who isn't -- Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh; Bowers procured girls for Bob Hope; he spent time with Noel Coward; Maxene, of the Andrews Sisters, came into a party with her girlfriend; Bowers aided Kinsey with his landmark report by supplying pornography. Edith Piaf. Charles Laughton. Rock Hudson "drank too much," and hated James Dean who misbehaved abominably at a party. Alfred A. Knopf. Monty Clift. Anthony Perkins. Tab Hunter. Roddy McDowell. Malcolm Forbes. And, alas, Somerset Maugham: "bisexual and heavily into voyeurism." J. Edgar Hoover. Brian Epstein (The Beatles' manager). And, finally: the end, and, maybe, only the beginning.

Wrap: a). After all that, one wonders what really happened to the unpublished manuscript with Tennessee Williams' take on Scotty Bowers. Was it secretly incorporated here? b). And how is it Scotty Bowers never got paid for his procuring talents but was rewarded for sex, as well as bartending and handyman-ing. Is it not downplayed to avoid the IRS's ire? To make him look like a good guy? Or, did he hook people up out of the kindness of his heart? c). Bowers admits to having foreskin and expresses pride in his three-piece set, but there is never any discussion of STD's or ED (Scotty could have sex multiple times a day), let alone (gulp) crabs... Or, abortion. Or, contraception.

Foot Thought: While he was bartending a Hollywood party, Lucille Ball sashays in and slaps Scotty Bowers in the face. (Bowers matchmaker-ed for Desi Arnaz). One wonders why he wasn't hit more often. On the other hand, I, for one, would like to shake his hand. Before moving on, it is seductive to note that the original manuscript of Full Service was vetted by libel lawyers and "information" deleted. It's hard to imagine anything more jaw dropping than this book, but apparently there's more. So, if the last word isn't in, will there be a sequel? Hold the Phone! A documentary is in the works.

Book five is more about the writer and falls into the category of news. Literary giant-cultural and literary critic-teacher, and openly gay writer Edmund White, had a stroke.

Upfront Note: White was recently included in a weighty new compendium on the world's better homosexual writers Eminent Outlaws by Christopher Bram. So, Edmund White is among the best. White recovered quickly from the setback and word is, his brain was not affected. For a few hairy days in December 2011, he was incapacitated and "flat on his back." Repeat: He is now OK. White's twelfth novel, Jack Holmes and His Friends has been well received and widely reviewed. Entertainment Weekly magazine reviewer Adam Markovitz said White's "prose is always most alive when it sneaks underneath the sheets." Right on. Jack Holmes and His Friends has a newly explored theme: It's a moving, witty, insightful and complicated account of unrequited love and friendship between two men, one gay, one straight, spanning two decades, a Harry Met Sammy, if you will. Can these two guys be friends? Possibly. For sure, it's a titillating tale. Apropos of nothing: Here's a quote White gave a young writer who asked his advice: "To sleep with older writers is a good idea." Amen. Meanwhile, Edmund White is in good company here.

Eminent Outlaws: The Gay Writers Who Changed America by Christopher Bram (Hachette Books) critically chronicles the lives of homosexual poets, novelists and playwrights from Gore Vidal to Tony Kushner to Truman Capote to Tennessee Williams to Edward Albee, and lastly but not last, James Baldwin. It's well worth a look.

Having said all that -- the true quandary here is: To buy an electronic reader or to not buy an electronic reader, and if so -- Kindle, Nook or iPad? For now, I prefer books made of paper, parchment, pulp, new, recycled, used, hard cover, paperback. But, I'm comparative shopping for an e-reader and it makes me feel so young.
