Sienna Miller To Slip Into Broadway 'Cabaret'

NEW YORK (AP) — Sienna Miller will step up to play the fishnet-and-bowler hat wearing chanteuse Sally Bowles on Broadway.

Roundabout Theatre Company said Wednesday that Miller will take over from Emma Stone on Feb. 17 and play the final six weeks of the show's run through March 29. Michelle Williams last year made her Broadway debut in the role, handing it to Stone on Nov. 11. The current revival of the revival that ran from 1998-2004 also stars Alan Cumming as Emcee, Linda Emond and Danny Burstein. It's directed by Sam Mendes and co-directed and choreographed by Rob Marshall.

Miller, who is currently co-starring in Clint Eastwood's "American Sniper," made her Broadway bow in Patrick Marber's "After Miss Julie" and starred in the 2011 West End revival of Terence Rattigan's "Flare Path."

Set in 1931 Berlin, "Cabaret" centers on the world of the indulgent Kit Kat Klub as it becomes intertwined with the world outside, which gets more precarious on the brink of World War II. The songs by John Kander and Fred Ebb include "Willkommen" and "Tomorrow Belongs to Me."

"Cabaret," both the Broadway show and 1972 film starring Liza Minnelli, Joel Grey and Michael York, are based on the 1951 Broadway play "I Am a Camera," which, in turn, was based on Christopher Isherwood's book "Goodbye to Berlin."

Terrence Howard Talks Auditioning For 'Empire,' Filming Show's Most 'Difficult Scene'

FOX’s new series, “Empire,” has drawn a great deal of attention leading up to its television premiere this week.

The show, which centers around the trials and tribulations of former drug dealer-turned-music mogul running his own record label, has not only sparked a social media debate with 50 Cent accusing the show of duplicating his very own series, “Power,” it also marks the on screen reunion of Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard.

According to Howard, the pair’s previous onscreen chemistry in 2005’s Academy Award-winning film, “Hustle & Flow” had a great influence on director Lee Daniels’ decision to hire him as the show’s lead.

“Lee was auditioning Taraji and she said, ‘If you’re not using Terrence Howard then I’m not doing it. How’s that one?’ (and she hung up the phone),” Howard admitted during an interview with Deadline Hollywood. “Remember, Taraji is the same person who tried to audition for 'Precious' — I’m not lying! She’s a cornucopia of crazy and that’s really the reason why I am here.”

The Academy Award-nominated actor went on to detail the impact of filming one of the show’s most difficult scenes which involved Howard’s character, Lucious, throwing his son in a trash can after discovering him wearing his mother’s shoes and head scarf.

“Lee Daniels was that little boy and his father put him in the trash can,” Howard revealed. “Watching Lee while we were shooting this — at one point, he had to look away because he was in tears, because he was facing it. His mother was also there on the set. It was cathartic for Lee.”

“Lee would not allow me to show any compassion in the scene. He reminded me how much Lucious loved little Jamal, but my need for the boy to be a strong man was greater than my need to show my love to him. That was a difficult scene.”

In the past Daniels also opened up on his traumatic encounter with his father during an 2013 interview on “Larry King Now.”

“My dad was playing cards one Sunday with his cop friends and I put on my mother’s red pumps and walked down the stairs…and then I got beat,” he recalled to show host Larry King. “He beat me severely for it. But that didn’t stop me, because the following Sunday I put on her blue high-heel shoes and walked down the stairs, this time with her purse.”

FOX’s “Empire” airs on Wednesdays at 9pm ET. Read more of Terrence Howard’s interview here.

Meryl Streep Defends Russell Crowe's Remarks On Actresses

Russell Crowe evoked some Internet wrath this week when comments he made about actresses needing to find age-appropriate roles seemed to imply he thought ageism wasn't an issue in Hollywood. Crowe's remarks, which originated in an Australian Women's Weekly interview published before Christmas, named Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren as two women capable of finding fitting film parts.

"The best thing about the industry I'm in -- movies -- is that there are roles for people in all different stages of life," Crowe said. "To be honest, I think you'll find that the woman who is saying that [the roles have dried up] is the woman who at 40, 45, 48, still wants to play the ingénue, and can’t understand why she's not being cast as the 21-year-old."

Streep vouched for Crowe's sentiments during an "Into the Woods" press conference on Tuesday, clarifying that she thought his remarks had been taken out of context.

“The Russell Crowe thing, I’m so glad you asked about [it],” the 65-year-old Streep said. “I read what he said -- all of what he said. It's been misappropriated, what he was talking about. He was talking about himself. The journalist asked him, 'Why don’t you do another 'Gladiator,' you know, everybody loved that.' He said, 'I'm too old. I can't be the gladiator anymore. I'm playing parts that are appropriate to my age. Then the conversation went on to actresses. So that was proving a point, that he was talking about himself, as most actors do. That aside, I agree with him. It's good to live in the place where you are. [...] You can put old age on; it's a lot harder to take it off."

Watch Streep's full remarks below:

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story misstated Streep's age as 64.

Sofia Vergara, 42, reportedly got engaged to "Spider-Man" star Joe Manganiello over the holidays. But the "Modern Family" actress has walked down the aisle before: When she was 18, she married her childhood sweetheart, Joe Gonzalez.

Interestingly enough, she didn't look all that different back then.

Check out what Vergara looked like as a bride 24 years ago:

Although Vergara has yet to officially confirm her engagement to Manganiello, whom she's been dating since July, she was spotted wearing an engagement ring in late December.

She also posted a photo of herself with Manganiello on his birthday -- which is just further proof that she looks exactly the same as she did when she was 18.

Phylicia Rashad May Not Have Expected This Reaction

Phylicia Rashad, the actress who played Bill Cosby's TV wife for many years, just broke her silence about the sexual assault scandal that has been plaguing her former co-star. She denounced the accusations that have been made publicly against Cosby by more than 20 women and said it was an orchestrated attempt to destroy Cosby's legacy. "Forget these women," she told ShowBiz411. Her support came on the eve of attorney Gloria Allred announcing that three more women have stepped forward with claims against Cosby.

We asked our Huff/Post50 Facebook fans and readers what they thought of Rashad's defense and here's what some of them had to say:

"How much did Bill have to pay her [Rashad] to say that?" asked Dee Nep. Cally Wood Doyle said she found it "very difficult to believe" that "someone hired these women to say all of these bad things." And Susan Stewart said that Rashad's "suggestion to 'forget these women' speaks volumes to her skewed perspective." Colleen Lawson said Rashad's comments caused her to lose "all respect for her."

Maureen Warner found it "scary [that] she [Rashad] buys into the bullshit ...[and believes] that a pretend character [he played on TV] is a testament to his character!"

Kate McGahan thinks it's just a case of universal denial. "We all, at first moment, said to ourselves 'Oh no, it can't be true.'" she said. But [Rashad] is in even "bigger denial because she (thinks she) knows him better than we do. It's all a process."

Others were a bit harsher. Donna Wohltman Kennedy said that "As long as The Cosby Show continues in reruns, she is making money from it. If the pull the reruns, no money for her. So I'm assuming she would want his legacy to be upheld, for her own benefit."

Lynn G. Coleman questioned "Who would want to destroy his 'legacy?'" She noted that Cosby is "a comedian at the end of his career." And as for why his accusers didn't go public sooner, she said, "they probably thought no one would believe them because of his family-man image. But once one woman came out with it, the floodgates opened. This happened with the priest abuse, too."

Vicki Hrivnak believes that Cosby is the one who "ruined his legacy!!" Hrivnak urged him to "own his mistakes and try to make it right before it's too late. All these women can't be lying and have nothing to gain by telling these embarrassing stories of being taken advantage of by a man in power...happens all too frequently."

Margaret Castillo Hernandez said that the "problem is that Rashad was not there when these woman went through what they went through, so for her to say anything ... she should just stay out of it and let Bill Cosby answer for himself."

Cosby is not without his supporters, of course. Nancy Nemeth Caracciolo wonders why Cosby's accusers "didn't come forward sooner," and adds that she thinks, "Bill Cosby is a good guy." And Melisa Cooksey Dulworth urged everyone to "let bygones be bygones" and just move on. She says that she "loves Bill Cosby to death."

Nita Roper Hutchison said she "would love to believe [Rashad] because this has broken my heart. I feel robbed of so many good memories of his performances. However, there is just so much smoke for there to be no fire. I think it is possible that some of the later claims are just attention seekers but can see no reason for [some of the] women [to be] coming forward. That said, though, I really hope that something happens to prove that Phylicia Rashad's faith in her friend is justified."

And then there's Susan Harden, who notes that the story just gets "more baffling every day."

Gloria Allred Introduces 3 New Bill Cosby Accusers, Criticizes Phylicia Rashad

In a Wednesday Jan. 7 press conference, lawyer Gloria Allred introduced three women who have come forward for the first time to accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault.

Opening the conference, Allred criticized actress Phylicia Rashad, who played Cosby's wife on "The Cosby Show," for her recent statements in support of the 77-year-old comedian. In response to Rashad's comment that the public should disregard Cosby's accusers and "forget those women," Allred said:
Phylicia, I vow to you that I will not forget these women, because women matter. They deserve respect and dignity. Phylicia, you should be supporting these women rather than joining Cosby's paid "attack dogs" who are trying to undermine them in any way they can.

Accompanying Allred were three women introduced as Linda Kirkpatrick, Lynn Neal and "Kacey." Each woman read a statement, describing their experiences with Cosby in great detail, but declining to take any questions. The stories all followed the familiar patterns of grooming, drugging and then assault that have characterized all of the accusations against the famous comedian.

LINDA KIRKPATRICK
Kirkpatrick claimed that she met Cosby at a tennis tournament in Las Vegas in 1981, where he invited her to see his show. She alleges that he offered her a drink during a party in his dressing room, after which she blacked out and came to to find Cosby on top of her, kissing her forcefully. Kirkpatrick says that she went back to the show the following night after Cosby apologized, and that he aggressively kissed her and tried to take his advances further despite her insistence that she was not interested in a sexual encounter. She managed to leave before any further assault occurred.

LYNN NEAL
Neal said that she met Cosby while she was working as a therapist at a health club where he was a regular client. Cosby allegedly invited her to see his show, where he offered her drinks and would not let her eat. After the show, Neal says she began feeling "disoriented and confused." She claims that Cosby then walked her to his dressing room where he raped her.

"He built my trust by pretending to be a friend," Neal said in her statement. "He drugged and raped me. He betrayed my trust and took advantage of me."

KACEY
Kacey, who did not want her real name shared and grew emotional as she read her statement, alleges that Cosby drugged and assaulted her in 1996 while she was working for Tom Illius, Cosby's agent at the William Morris Agency. In a statement provided to press, Kacey revealed that she had a friendly working relationship with Cosby and considered him a "father figure or favorite uncle." She and her children had dined with Cosby and other colleagues before, and she took calls from him at her home. During a one-on-one meeting at the Bel Air hotel where Cosby had invited her to discuss her future career plans, Kacey claims that he insisted she take a "large white pill" to help her "relax," after which she remembers nothing until she woke up in a bed next to Cosby, who was naked under a bathrobe.

The Huffington Post contacted Cosby's representatives for comment about these allegations, but had not heard back at the time of publication.

In a Q&A after the statements were read, Allred addressed legal options that she believed could be enacted given that the statute of limitations has passed on all known cases.

“I have been in contact with Mr. Cosby’s representatives in regard to the two challenges or invitations that I have offered to him. One was that he invite all the women to sue and he agree that he would not assert his statute of limitations.”

She pointed to the actions of Alan Dershowitz, the famous criminal lawyer who was recently named in an alleged underage prostitution and sexual abuse scandal who invited his accuser to sue, with the stipulation that he would not invoke the statute and allow the case to proceed.

Alternatively, Allred believes that arbitration or mediation -- a closed door, confidential negotiation between Cosby, his accusers and a retired judge would be an attractive option for closure.

Neither option had been accepted by Cosby’s team.

Allred ducked repeated questions as to how many anonymous victims had approached her, but alluded to their existence.

“I have no doubt that there will be efforts to undermine any and all who come forward,” Allred said.

Michael Keaton Knows You Think He Was 'High' For Being In 'Herbie'

When you've had a career as long as Michael Keaton's, there's bound to be a few serious misses among the hits. That's something Keaton himself knows as well as anyone.

The actor spoke with HuffPost Live's Ricky Camilleri on Wednesday about "Birdman," the film that pundits are speculating could earn him an Oscar for Best Actor. During the conversation, Keaton offered a frank take on how he picks roles -- and one of the films that still has him scratching his head.

"I also had a really practical side, and you've to to gauge it and grab something every once in a while, either for a check or ..." he said. "So as an example, when you think about it, the fact that I was in 'Herbie [Fully Loaded]' is kind of weird. ... In perspective, you kind of go, 'You must have been, you know, high or something. What was that choice?'"

But there was a "weird calculation" behind the decision, Keaton added.

"I looked at that, for instance, and I thought that could be a two- or three- or four-movie deal where it ain't on me, I got a smaller role," he said. "I know that's that check that I can then go and do 'Pacific Heights' and I can go do some little movie with some great director who maybe isn't known or do whatever you want to do."

10 Classic Elvis Dance Moves In Honor Of The King's 80th Birthday

Happy birthday, Elvis Presley.

The cultural icon often referred to as America's first and greatest rock-and-roll star would have celebrated his 80th birthday on Thursday (Jan. 8) had it not been for his untimely death on August 16, 1977 at the age of 42.

In a sign that the legend's influence still hasn't waned, an online database of all things Elvis, ElvisTheMusic.com, was recently launched. In addition, Graceland will livestream an 80th birthday celebration Thursday starting at 10:15 a.m. EST; Priscilla Presley, his wife from 1967 to 1973, is among those scheduled to make an appearance.

Even across the pond, at The 02 in London, the largest Elvis retrospective ever mounted in Europe, titled "Elvis At The O2: The Exhibition Of His Life," will offer discounted tickets this week.

No doubt, interest in Elvis shows no sign of dying out.

Eight decades after his birth in Tupelo, Mississippi, the musician with no formal training is still considered Billboard royalty, with 108 Billboard Hot 100 hits, the most of any rock artist in the chart's history. His legacy includes a wide range of classics, everything from "Hound Dog" to "One Night."

But besides his voice, there was nothing like the King's hip-swiveling dance moves. Indeed by the late 1950s, the son of a sewing-machine operator and a truck driver had incurred the wrath of parents, pastors and even other entertainers, who considered his persona too vulgar and sexual. Yet that persona made countless teenaged girls swoon.

Today, those same dance moves have turned Elvis into one of the world's most impersonated celebrates. And so to commemorate the King, we've put together an unforgettable mashup of Elvis' 10 greatest moves. Dance along by bending your knees slightly, gyrating your hips, and feeling the rhythm in your pelvis. No doubt Elvis would have been delighted.

Happy birthday Elvis. Long live the King.

The Story Behind Elvis' 'Secret' Weekend Retreat

Residents of Palm Springs, California are used to having Hollywood icons as neighbors. But one neighbor has stood out over the years, one with a very unusual weekend retreat. That celebrity? None other than Elvis Presley.

"Elvis leased this property at 1350 Ladera Circle for about one year starting in September 1966," Elvis historian Cory Cooper told The Huffington Post. "It was built by Robert & Helene Alexander and was called the 'House Of Tomorrow' because of its unique design." Robert Alexander was one of the most prominent developers of Palm Springs during the mid-century period. Up until The King became a tenant, the property served as Alexander's home.

Though we can certainly see the appeal of the home -- and, of course, the gorgeous location -- we wondered how a California home became the getaway for the Memphis-loving icon.

"Elvis's manager Col. Tom Parker had a home in Palm Springs as well, which is where Elvis got the idea to have a home there," Cooper says. "And because of its close location to Los Angeles when Elvis was filming movies, he could have a place to relax at during the weekends." Presley eventually bought a separate property in Palm Springs.

The home was also dubbed the "Honeymoon Hideaway" for the time Presley spent there with his wife, Priscilla. Today, the property is open to the public for tours, weddings and events. Perhaps it's time to plan a vacation?

Presenting at Wednesday's People's Choice Awards, Kaley Cuoco joked about the recent uproar over comments she made regarding feminism.

Cuoco and her co-stars from "The Wedding Ringer," Josh Gad and Kevin Hart, presented the first People's Choice Award of the night: Favorite Comedic Movie Actress. After a prolonged bit involving Hart and a trio of selfie sticks, the 29-year-old actress asked if they could just show the nominees.

"Kaley, are you sure you want to do that category given your anti-feminism stance?" asked Gad. To which Cuoco responded: "Guys, I have to, it's part of my apology tour."

In a recent interview with Redbook, Cuoco was asked if she considered herself a feminist.

"Is it bad if I say no?" Cuoco said. "It's not really something I think about. Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around [...] I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that's because I've never really faced inequality."

Cuoco later clarified her comments in an apology on Instagram.

"In my Redbook article, some people have taken offense to my comments regarding feminism -- if any of you are in the 'biz' you are well aware of how words can be taken out of context," she wrote. "I'm completely blessed and grateful that strong women have paved the way for my success along with many others. I apologize if anyone was offended. Anyone that truly knows me, knows my heart and knows what I meant."

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight following the Instagram apology, Cuoco continued to explain her stance.

"I really truly meant that I am so lucky and blessed," she said. "My career has been growing since I was very young and I haven't felt like I had to fight to be equal. That's why I said it."

Joni Mitchell Is The Star Of Saint Laurent's 'Music Project' And We're Freaking Out Over It

In case Céline's Spring 2015 ad featuring Joan Didion wasn't iconic or exciting enough for you, Saint Laurent's news, while a bit more ambiguous, might just put you over the edge.

The label has tapped none other than legendary singer and songwriter Joni Mitchell to be the next star of its Music Project. Previous participants in the project include the likes of Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson, but at a time (and more specifically) a week where unconventional models are being chosen to pose for some of the most major labels, choosing the 71-year-old legend proves more than ever that models are not confined to certain ages or careers.

According to Saint Laurent's Twitter account, Mitchell was photographed in her California home in a full YSL look including a leather cape made for her by creative director Hedi Slimane. The fashion house also noted that additional images are set to be released in this month's V Magazine.

We can't wait to learn more about this project, but for now we will rejoice in viewing the images. Well done, Saint Laurent.

Sony Hack May Be Fodder For Golden Globes Hosts, But Not The Show

$

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — The folks behind Sunday night's Golden Globes show say they won't address the Sony hack during the big show, but the subject is fair game for hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

"I think that especially in the last couple of months, the girls have been provided with quite some interesting fodder," Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Theo Kingma said coyly outside the Golden Globes' ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Inside the venue — filled with scissor-lifts, boxes of cables and builders getting the place camera-ready — 20-time Globes producer Barry Adelman said he's leaving discussion of the Hollywood hacking scandal to the stars in the spotlight.

"I'm sure there'll be some comments this year about (the Sony scandal and the film "The Interview" at the center of it), but we'll let that happen from the people who are on stage," he said. "Our focus is to provide the same prism that we always do, which is saluting excellence for the past year in both movies and TV, and whatever comes with that will come out naturally in the show."

Adelman won't see what Fey and Poehler have prepared until the weekend, and he expects the three-time hosting duo to make tweaks right up until show time.

"They want the material to be as fresh as it can possibly be," he said.

This will be the third year in a row Fey and Poehler have hosted the show, and they've said it will also be their final time. Last year, they helped boost the Globes' TV ratings to the best they've been in a decade.

"Birdman" leads film nominees at this year's Golden Globe Awards with seven bids, including best picture (musical or comedy), best actor for star Michael Keaton and supporting actor nods for Emma Stone and Edward Norton. Other film front-runners include the coming-of-age story "Boyhood" and World War II code-cracking drama "The Imitation Game," which have five nominations each, including best picture (drama).

On the television side, the FX crime drama "Fargo" has a leading five nominations, followed by HBO's "True Detective" with four.

George Clooney, who called for an alliance to release "The Interview" in the name of artistic freedom after it was shelved by Sony, will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the ceremony.

He'll be in starry company. Apart from the acting nominees — which include Julianne Moore, Ricky Gervais, Helen Mirren, Steve Carell and Jake Gyllenhaal — a spate of A-listers are set to serve as presenters. Bryan Cranston and supporting actress nominee Meryl Streep were announced Thursday. Other presenters include Robert Downey Jr., Kate Hudson, Channing Tatum, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin Hart, Lily Tomlin, Salma Hayek and Chris Pratt.

With a mix of TV and film stars and a flowing open bar, Adelman is hoping for a festive launch to the industry's awards season.

"We've always tried very hard to live up to the label Hollywood's party of the year," the producer said. "And the way we do that is to let the party happen."

Sunday's 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards will air live on NBC from 8-11 p.m. EST.

Smith and Zeizel began dating after the pair met on the set of one of the pop star's video shoots late last year.

Kim Kardashian's BFF Is Launching A Shake Shack Rival

Before he was palling around with Kim and crew on "Keeping Up with The Kardashians," Jonathan Cheban had a dream: to open a burger joint.

“I have actually been dying to do burgers for literally 13 years,” Cheban said in a phone interview with The Huffington Post on Thursday. He's about to get his chance: The first location of Cheban's new restaurant, Burger Bandit, is slated to open in the Long Island town of Lynbrook “any day now," he said, once the final permits come through.

Cheban -- known to viewers of the Kardashian reality show franchise as the guy with dark, wispy hair who helped Kim set her mother up on a date and sightsee in London -- is entering a crowded market. From Shake Shack to Five Guys to In-N-Out to now even McDonald’s, there are dozens of chains trying to offer diners a well-cooked burger with their choice of fresh toppings, cheeses and an assortment of special sauces. But despite all these options, Cheban said, “sometimes I just wander around the city and I just can’t find a good burger.”

That’s why Cheban, who also owns multiple sushi restaurants, is adding his own flair to the burger chain concept.

Burger Bandit's patties are smaller than a typical burger, but bigger than sliders. And at less than $3 a pop, Cheban expects that diners will be able to order two and mix and match toppings, which include bacon mayonnaise as well as the eatery's own special burger sauce and more traditional fixings such as tomatoes and cheese.

“It has a lot of my influence,” Cheban said of Burger Bandit. As a fast-food lover, the author of a food and gossip site called the Dishh and the self-proclaimed "Kanye West of Food," Cheban has some strong opinions on what makes the perfect burger joint.

Though he loves Shake Shack, Cheban said, “I’m not going to stand in line for that, I just don’t have time for that.” He appreciates the quality product offered at Five Guys, but said that eating in the chain’s bare-bones restaurants makes him feel “like I’m going to jail a little bit."

Cheban said the burgers he finds among the least desirable are the fancy ones with things like caviar on top and jalapenos inside. “I can’t stand it,” Cheban said. “I love burgers and I love simple burgers. If the burger is good you don’t need to cover it up with lots of stuff.”

He said he envisions Burger Bandit as a faster, cheaper version of Shake Shack, and wants it to be a place that gets ordinary customers from "the street," such as local high school kids. That’s one reason he and his partner are opening their flagship restaurant on Long Island, across the street from a movie theater, instead of in the tony areas of New York or Los Angeles.

“Manhattan is too critical, and they like to take you down before they bring you up,” said Cheban, who has also worked as a prominent publicist. “I really like that homey feeling. I grew up in New Jersey.”

Still, Cheban is hoping the place will get some celebrity attention. He’d like one of the reality shows in the Kardashian franchise to feature Burger Bandit one day. That's not such a far-off possibility, since he wants to open an outlet in LA and Kim is reportedly “really proud of him." She also attended the opening of another one of Cheban’s food ventures, Sushi Couture, in Miami last year, he noted.

Burger Bandit "wasn’t ready when we we’re filming in the Hamptons, which really sucked,” he said. “Everyone is such a great supporter.”

The truth about that one big "Gotham" theory has finally been revealed!

Warning: "Gotham" spoilers below.

As many fans of Fox's Batman prequel know, a Reddit fan theory about the true identity of the Joker has completely blown up on the Internet. The theory claims that the show's Penguin, Oswald Cobblepot, is actually the Joker, and the wildest part is that it's pretty convincing. Now, the actor who plays the Penguin, Robin Lord Taylor, has finally weighed in on the matter.

When asked about the theory in a recent interview with MTV, Taylor said, "I find it incredibly unlikely." The "Gotham" star said he was "impressed" by the amount of detail the theory went into, but he doesn't really buy it.

It's true the theory had some holes from the very beginning. Redditors point out that some of the reasoning behind it, like the variations in the character traits of the comic book Penguin and the Cobblepot in the series, doesn't really hold up. The twist would also mean drastic alterations from the characters' original stories.

Though the Penguin isn't convinced by the theory, his comments don't completely shut the door on it. Taylor went on to say that he's "just as shocked as everyone else" when he gets the scripts and sees what happens onscreen.
