There are two "it" girls in the award show circuit this year: Jennifer Lawrence and Lupita Nyong'o. But what do these two Oscar nominees think about one another?

Well, Nyong'o revealed her thoughts on JLaw while appearing on "The Late Show with David Letterman" Wednesday (Feb. 19). Retelling the story of their introduction, the "12 Years A Slave" star gushed about her fellow Supporting Actress nominee.

"I met her at the SAG Awards," Nyong'o, 30, told David Letterman. "I turned around and she saw me at the same time I saw her and she made this ridiculous face of shock and she beat me to it, because had she not reacted like that, that would have been the look on my face!"

"She's fascinating in an unusual way," Letterman responded matter-of-factly.

"What do you mean?" Nyong'o coyly replied.

"She's a wonderful actress, a consummate artist, but she's, uh, kooky," Letterman said.

"That's what makes her so good," Nyong'o laughed. "I just love the faces she makes."

As for Lawrence's feelings about the Kenyan-Mexican actress, the "ridiculous" look on the "American Hustle" star's face says it all:

The perv fan who groped "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland's chest in Australia this week has been charged with assault with an act of indecency, TMZ has learned.

The 29-year-old man was arrested Tuesday outside a "Modern Family" after-party in Sydney. Hyland was posing with fans when he allegedly grabbed her breast.

People in the entertainment industry know that hit TV shows don't come out of nowhere, and usually career-defining roles are won after years of bit parts and commercial acting.

"Breaking Bad" actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul became superstars and fan favorites after five seasons on the AMC series, but what were they doing before they were cooking up drugs in Albuquerque?

According to the video above, Paul was doing everything from guest starring on "3rd Rock From the Sun" to advertisements for Tombstone pizza, while Cranston was starring in coffee commercials and showing up on "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch."

3 Doors Down Bassist Todd Harrell Suspended Indefinitely After Second DUI Arrest

NEW YORK (AP) — The bassist for 3 Doors Down has been suspended indefinitely by the band following his DUI arrest.

Todd Harrell was charged Tuesday in Mississippi with a second-offense DUI involving a substance other than alcohol. The rock group said in a statement Thursday that Harrell was suspended to protect the band's "image and integrity." In 2012, Harrell's Cadillac rear-ended another vehicle. He was later found to be driving under the influence of prescription drugs and was convicted.

The band says it is encouraging Harrell to "address and resolve his problems."

3 Doors Down's Top 10 hits include "Kryptonite," ''When I'm Gone" and "Here Without You." The band's first two albums, 2000's "The Better Life" and 2002's "Away From the Sun," have sold 6 million and 4 million units, respectively.

Olivia Wilde Just Dropped Some Serious Knowledge On How The Media Can Empower Women

Actress Olivia Wilde dropped some serious knowledge on how the media can empower women last week -- and we are all about it.

On Feb. 12 during a Los Angeles GritTv panel called "The State Of Female Justice," Wilde had some choice words for Hollywood's sexist ways. She discussed the privilege afforded to Hollywood through the almost unfathomable reach it has to affect international audiences -- and how the film industry just isn't doing enough with this opportunity.

Wilde pointed out that the discrimination seen on screen often crosses over to real life, resulting in the objectification of women, women objectifying themselves and ultimately a lack of social equality. She posed the rather poignant question: "Our responsibility is to be story tellers, so why aren't we telling the stories that are educating the masses to empower them to avoid a lot of these situations?"

Despite Wilde's lengthy resume, she was struck by how limited the opportunities are for women in film. In a very telling anecdote, Wilde recounted a recent live read she did that perfectly illustrated the gender-specific issues found in Hollywood:
We did one recently of American Pie, but we reversed the gender roles. All the women played men; all the men played women. And it was so fascinating to be a part of this because, as the women took on these central roles -- they had all the good lines, they had all the good laughs, all the great moments -- the men who joined us to sit on stage started squirming rather uncomfortably and got really bored because they weren't used to being the supporting cast.

It was fascinating to feel their discomfort [and] to discuss it with them afterward, when they said, "It's boring to play the girl role!" And I said, "Yeah. Yeah. You think? Welcome to our world!"


As Wilde reminded us, the power to change this is in our hands. As consumers of film and media, we can use our voices to demand a more dynamic presence of women. Olivia Wilde inspires us to be much louder.

'True Detective' Season 2 Could Be Incredible If They Let Us Pick The Detectives

This was bound to happen. The Internet was destined to take over HBO's hyper-theorized mystery show, "True Detective."

Sure, there have been memes ("True Detective" Conversations wins, in our opinion), but Twitter took "True Detective" Season 2 into its own hands on Thursday (Feb. 20). Creator Nic Pizzolatto said that the show will take on an anthology format, and that the second season would have a whole new cast. Naturally, the hashtag #TrueDetectiveSeason2 caught on quickly as fans and critics began tweeting unlikely photos of dynamic duos who could take Rust and Marty's place in Season 2.

Kimora Lee Simmons Is Married, Says Ex Russell Simmons

So apparently, Kimora Lee Simmons is married again, and the news has been announced by none other than her ex-husband, Russell Simmons. He spilled the beans via Twitter on Wednesday (Feb. 19).




The man in question is Tim Leissner, a senior-level businessman at Goldman Sachs.

The couple was photographed together while on vacation in St. Barts in Dec. 2013, but has kept their relationship relatively low key. The vacation was a family affair that included the lovebirds, Kimora's children and even her ex-husband.

Kimora and her ex have remained on good terms since divorcing in 2009, and they actively co-parent their two daughters. Based on his tweet, Russell seems happy to have welcomed Leissner into the family, but Kimora has yet to publicly comment on her relationship status.

Christina Aguilera Pregnant With Her Second Child

Almost a week after news of her engagement broke, Christina Aguilera has some more exciting revelations to share ... she's pregnant!

The singer is expecting her second child, her first with fiance Matthew Rutler, People confirms. Aguilera, 33, is already mom to 6-year-old son Max with ex-husband, Jordan Bratman.

Aguilera met soon-to-be husband and production assistant Rutler in 2010 on the set of "Burlesque." The pair has been an item ever since.

But don't expect to see Aguilera's pregnancy unfold before your eyes -- she's taking Season 6 of "The Voice" off while Shakira fills in alongside Usher, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

Congrats to the happy couple on this exciting news!

Sarah Hyland Allegedly Groped, Man Charged With Indecently Assaulting 'Modern Family' Star

SYDNEY (AP) — Australian police have charged a man with indecently assaulting a star of the hit television comedy "Modern Family," Sarah Hyland, in Sydney.

The cast of the ABC series arrived in Sydney this week to shoot an Australian episode. The 23-year-old was attending a social function for cast members at a Sydney hotel on Thursday night when she was allegedly groped on the chest by a man who had asked her to pose for a photograph, The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper reported on Friday.

The actress who plays big-eyed teenager Haley Dunphy immediately alerted private security guards, who called police to the scene.

New South Wales state police said in a statement on Friday that a 29-year-old man had been charged following the alleged indecent assault.

He was charged with assault with an act of indecency, a crime that carries a potential maximum of five years in prison. He was freed on bail to appear in a Sydney court on March 14. Police have not revealed his name.

The actress was shaken by the incident, and left early from the event sponsored by Qantas Airways, the newspaper said.

"Sorry to all the fans outside the #qantas event that I didn't get to say hi to but I had to leave due to an inappropriate touch of a fan," she wrote on Twitter.

Heidi Klum And Seal Are Not Getting Back Together, Singer's Rep Says

We hate to break your hearts again, but Seal and Heidi Klum are not getting back together, despite any recent reconciliation rumors you may have heard.

Seal's rep put the reports of a reunion to rest this week, telling E! News that the singer and the supermodel have not rekindled their romance in the wake of Klum's recent breakup with bodyguard boyfriend, Martin Kristen.

"Seal and Heidi have not reunited as a couple," Seal's rep told the site. "Their children will always be their priority, and their focus remains on co-parenting."

We can't say we're not disappointed. Considering how awesome their annual vowel renewal ceremonies were (their white trash wedding in 2009 is our personal favorite), that remarriage ceremony would have been a sight to behold.

The German supermodel, 40, and the 51-year-old singer were married for seven years before announcing their separation in January 2012. During the course of their marriage, Seal adopted Klum's daughter Leni, and together they had three more children: sons Henry and Johan and daughter Lou.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate," the estranged couple said in a joint statement at the time of the split.

Jennifer Lawrence has a love-hate relationship with her 2013 Oscars dress.

Although the voluminous Christian Dior creation was a red carpet hit, it did cause Lawrence a lot of trouble as she took to the stage to accept an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook." The now 23-year-old tripped on the staircase in a moment that she deemed "embarrassing." But luckily for her, the crowd full of A-listers stood up and cheered to help wash all her nerves away.

"You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell and that's really embarrassing, but thank you," she told the audience in her speech.

In a video shot for the new Miss Dior campaign ads, Miss Dior herself requested that the fashion house provide a dress that is stair-friendly, as to prevent another fall. Lawrence says, “I obviously have very special memories of the dress I wore to the Oscars Some fun, some not. They need to make it more accessible for stairs, in my opinion."

Obviously, JLaw will make sure to choose a dress that won't trip her up at this year's Oscars, just in case she takes home the Best Supporting Actress honor for her role in "American Hustle."

"It feels nice when you’re dressed in something beautiful and you feel beautiful," she explains in the Dior clip. "When you’re wearing an outfit that you’re really proud of or a dress that you feel really good in, it can be fun, and therefore make you happier.”

Matthew McConaughey Watches Every 'True Detective' Episode As It Airs, Multiple Times

We don't only appreciate Matthew McConaughey for his recent amazing turn as a serious actor in both film and TV, aka the McConaissance, or for his ability to make a catchy chant with his chest. We admire the man for being a true detective in real life, and for proving he has some serious patience.

During his appearance on "The Queen Latifah Show" on Friday, Feb. 21, the Oscar nominated actor said that HBO gave him all eight episodes of his series "True Detective." But did he binge-watch the entire series in advance since he could? Nope. He watched them one at a time as each episode aired, just like the rest of us.

"I started to watch them and I said, 'No, I want to do what everybody else does: I want to watch one a week and then sit on it a week," McConaughey told Latifah. Although he obviously knows how the series ends, he still watched every episode, and even watched some multiple times. "I go back and watch it two, three times and I'm seeing something different every time and I made it!" Now that's some serious detective work, McConaughey!

All we know is that if we had all eight episodes in our "True Detective"-obsessed hands, we'd have finished the season weeks ago.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Have the Oscars gone Grammys?

Producers of the 86th Academy Awards announced Friday that Pink will appear on the Oscar show. The Grammy-winning singer joins a lineup already set to include performances from U2, Pharrell Williams, Bette Midler, rocker Karen O and Broadway star Idina Menzel. Producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan did not specify what Pink's performance will entail. They also haven't said what song Midler will sing.

Williams, Menzel, Karen O and U2 are set to perform their nominated original songs on the March 2 show.
