Jon Stewart's Joke Too Close To Home For Letterman

$

Jon Stewart is a funny guy, and he's usually pretty quick-witted as well. On "Late Show" (Weeknights, 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS), he saw an opportunity for a funny joke off the cuff and he went for it. Unfortunately for him and the increasingly uncomfortable David Letterman, that joke hit a little close to home for the host.

It was off of Letterman's comment that Mitt Romney reminds him of the guys on the packaging for men's underwear.

"I would think at this stage of your career, you have people that could just sit there and hug your groin for you," he told Letterman" Just hold on. Just do that. You could have like a group of people --" At this point, he started losing his focus, later admitting that he'd realized his faux pas mid-joke.

"John, John, John," Letterman said calmly. "I had a little trouble along those lines." He was referring to the revelations in 2009 that he'd had intimate relations with female members of his staff, and particularly a relationship with a woman who was at the time his personal assistant.

Stewart said that while he'd realized what he'd just done, he was too far in -- too committed to the joke -- to pull back. Letterman laughed it off, but it certainly looked like Stewart wasn't ready to stop apologizing just yet.

Jon Stewart can be seen weeknights on "The Daily Show" weeknights at 11 p.m. EST on Comedy Central, while David Letterman hosts "Late Show" weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS.

On "Only In America" (Wed., 9 p.m. EST on History) Larry The Cable Guy visited Bubba Blackwell as he prepared to make his first really big jump in ten years.

The motorcycle daredevil was almost killed in July 2001 when his attempt to jump over 22 cars on his Harley Davidson went seriously wrong and he crashed.

"I ended up in a coma on life support," the walking medical miracle told Larry before going on to list the massive injuries he sustained in the crash.

"Broke 19 bones, shattered my pelvis, broke six vertebrae in my back, one in my neck, crushed my shoulder ... punctured both lungs, ruptured spleen. The worst thing is, I had bleeding on the brain, they didn't know if I was gonna come out of it."

Larry acted as emcee as Bubba prepared to jump his motorcycle over a line of trucks. He took off at the right speed and cleared the trucks. Job done, Bubba was back in business.

"Only In America With Larry The Cable Guy" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on History.

"Doctor Who" Fans Rejoice: The Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory are getting back together! It has been announced that Karen Gillan will join her co-stars Matt Smith and Arthur Darvill at the first-ever official "Doctor Who" convention taking place in March.

Gillan, who recently opened up about leaving the series in 2013, said: “I'm really looking forward to the convention and meeting all of the wonderful 'Doctor Who' fans!”

Billed as the "Ultimate Doctor Who Fan Event," the convention will take place in the Time Lord's terrestrial home of Cardiff, Wales on March 24th and 25th, and the guest roster is awesome.

Showrunner Steven Moffat, who wrote many of the new era's best episodes as well as co-creating the PBS smash hit "Sherlock," will be participating in a hosted panel session along with Smith, Gillan and Darvill.

They'll be joined by "Battlestar Galactica" and "Supernatural" alum, sci-fi fan favorite Mark Sheppard, whose brilliant Season 6 guest spots as Canton Everett Delaware III propelled him to the top of many Whovians' wish lists as Gillan's replacement in the TARDIS.

Other "Who" acting vets in attendance will be Ian McNeice ("Rome"), who played Winston Churchill in numerous episodes including "The Wedding of River Song" and "Victory of the Daleks," and Raquel Cassidy who played Cleaves in "The Almost People" and "The Rebel Flesh."

Producer Marcus Wilson and director Toby Haynes will be taking part in an in-depth seminar with the current creative team. Haynes helmed several key Eleventh Doctor episodes including "The Impossible Astronaut" and "Day of the Moon," and he also collaborated with Moffat on the Season 1 Finale of "Sherlock."

There will also be Q&As and behind the scenes access featuring voice of the Daleks, Nick "Exterminate!" Briggs, Dalek operator Barnaby Edwards and production designer Michael Pickwoad. SFX supervisor Danny Hargreaves and Neill Gorton, co-director of Millennium FX, will reveal the tricks of their trade by giving detailed prosthetics masterclasses.

Filming starts on "Doctor Who" Season 7 in Cardiff on February 20th.

HuffPost TV will be covering the convention in full, so check back in March for interviews, photos and more.

The 'Revenge' Cast Teases What's Next

I let the cast of "Revenge" tease the goodness that was this week's "Chaos," all about Daniel and Emily's Fire & Ice-themed engagement party that turned into a bloodbath. But that was one episode you just couldn't tease enough, right? Amazing.

So what's next now that the big series premiere twist has finally been revealed?

Stars Josh Bowman, Nick Wechsler, Gabriel Mann, Henry Czerny, Christa B. Allen and Connor Paolo weigh in on the return of Tyler, the introduction of some new evil forces and how "Revenge" is going to take things to the next level.

Warning: If you haven't watched this week's "Revenge," there are major spoilers ahead!

On the big twist of "Chaos"
Josh Bowman, who plays Daniel Grayson: "Mike Kelley likes to switch it up, and you've got to expect the unexpected, so when I read [the script for "Chaos"] at the table read, I was happy to learn that I'm alive."

Gabriel Mann, who plays Nolan Ross: "The first thing I said to Sandy Bookstaver, the director, was, 'You asshole. You made me cry in a Fauxmanda scene!' I was like, 'Don't make me mushy over Fauxmanda -- I don't like her!' You know what I mean? I don't like her, but I love her. That's the crux of why the show feels especially good right now."

Christa B. Allen, who plays Charlotte Grayson: "If we didn't kill Tyler, Tyler was probably gonna kill one of us."

Tyler might be dead, but he's not gone
Bowman: "We do have flashbacks. You should expect to see him in the next episode with the confrontation on the beach between us two -- you're going to find out what happened."

Connor Paolo, who plays Declan Porter: "Just because you get shot don't mean you die! I cite 50 Cent, Jay-Z ... you never know."

How intense will the upcoming trial be for Daniel Grayson?
Bowman: "The audience shouldn't expect to see the same outcome as with Emily's father's trial. Justice will prevail for sure. But I wouldn't expect to see any lighthearted moments between Daniel and Emily for the rest of the season either."

Will we see Fauxmanda, a.k.a. Margarita Levieva, again?
Nick Wechsler, who plays Jack Porter: "I'll tell you that if I happened upon someone I love, on the beach over a body, and I made the split-second decision to tell her to get the fuck out of there, and I have to now try to figure out what I'm going to do to help cover her tracks ... I'm gonna want to talk to her after. I'm gonna want to know that she's OK, and have her fill me in on how this happened."

What about Charlotte and those pills?
Allen: "It's a bad spiral, and it goes down, baby!"

Paolo: "And I have no clue. All of a sudden she's happy again -- I'm relishing it!"

What's next?
Henry Czerny, Conrad Grayson: "I can't tell you what happens next, but I will remind you of what Tyler said, which is a clue from the writers to the audience: 'Oh, that's not the ending. This is just the beginning.' The tangents are now deeper because of what has happened. A known entity, a character that has been in the soup for a while and spiced it up, and has become part of the flavor of the soup, is now gone -- to a certain extent. There might be flashbacks, or there might be other things that Tyler was involved with."

Mann: "It's amazing that we've gotten people to come on this ride for this segment of the story ... but when you break it down, all of this that's happened is actually just the jumping off point for the real series. We've taken the liberty of this many episodes to get everybody familiar with these characters and suck everyone into this world, and now we're going to start to play."

Allen: "There's one character, and you don't really know if he's gone or not ... and that's all I'm going to say. I'm teetering on the edge of revealing some things here!"

Paolo: "There's going to be a bit more Declan-Nolan action."

Bowman: "I would love to see grandma Grayson ... that would be fantastic. Maybe Sophia Loren."

What did you think of "Chaos"? And what do you think will happen next?

Here's the episode description of "Scandal," airing Wed., Feb. 29: "Scandal" - The murder scandal at the Fire & Ice party rocks the Hamptons, and someone has to take the fall. The devastating turn of events call for desperate measures, as the Graysons form a united front, Emily grows more anxious, Ashley steps up for the family, and Jack is not the only one wondering where Amanda has gone. Courtney B. Vance guest stars.

Elka Ostrovsky (Betty White) may be the oldest of the "Hot In Cleveland" (Wed., 10 p.m. EST on TV Land) women, but she showed that she's still down with the kids.

When Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli) started reminiscing about her teenage crush, she decided to look him up on Facebook to see how he'd aged.

That led Elka to announce that she'd boycotted the social networking site because of something that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had done.

"I don't like the new design," she said bitterly. "Couldn't let it alone, could you, Zuckerberg?"

"Hot In Cleveland" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on TV Land.

NEWARK, N.J. — Filmmaker Tyler Perry has spoken at Whitney Houston's funeral about her grace, and complimented her openness and candid talk.

Perry says the two met a few years ago and that during their first talk, Houston credited God for helping her meet challenges.

Perry spoke Saturday of "a grace that kept on carrying her all the way through" her life. He says "it was the same grace that carried her home."

As Perry was speaking, Houston's mother stood up, clapping and raising her hands. Many churchgoers were also standing.

Houston died Feb. 11 in California the day before the Grammy awards. She was 48. A cause of death hasn't been determined.

Ali Honored In Vegas

LAS VEGAS — Muhammad Ali had seven prizefights in Las Vegas, with his two losses there coming in the twilight of his legendary career. Now, dozens of heavyweight celebrities are back in Sin City to laud a lifetime in the spotlight and join the icon known as "The Greatest" in fighting neurological diseases.

Roughly 2,000 people were expected to attend a swanky gala to celebrate Ali's 70th birthday on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the site of most of boxing's major fights the past 20 years. Ali turned 70 last month, and had another celebration and fundraiser then in his home state of Kentucky.

Guests arriving on the red carpet included football great Jim Brown.

"America started with slavery and ended up with a black president," Brown said. "Muhammad Ali was a part of that ... a big part."

One of Ali's daughters, Rasheda Ali, says the gala is a chance for friends, family and A-listers who look up to her father to show their respect for his life and legacy as a humanitarian. In return, she says he'll be honored to see them there.

"He has not left that need to help others," Rasheda Ali told The Associated Press. "That's one of his core values – his charity and his giving."

The gala starting at $1,500 per plate was expected to draw some of the biggest names in entertainment and sports – including David Beckham, Anthony Hopkins, Samuel L. Jackson and Stevie Wonder, among others. They're planning performances and tributes to a fighter who went 56-5 in the ring with 37 knockouts and became perhaps the most famous athlete ever because of his personality and willingness to publicly stand up for his beliefs.

Ali has lived with Parkinson's disease for nearly 30 years, a degenerative brain condition that some doctors say can be brought on by punches to the head.

The gala will raise funds for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Ky., a cultural attraction that celebrates Ali's life and pushes educational goals on a wide range of topics for adults and children.

Larry Ruvo, chairman of the clinic's fundraising arm, Keep Memory Alive, said he's not sure whether the fundraiser will exceed its record of $27 million, but he hopes so.

Boxing promoter Bob Arum said during a pre-gala reception Friday night attended by celebrities including Hopkins and Larry King that Ali will go down as one of the most important Americans in history.

"Without Muhammad Ali, there wouldn't have been an Obama," he said. "There wouldn't have been a mixed-race president."

Ruvo said President Barack Obama recorded a video tribute message to Ali that would be shown during the gala.

ABC and ESPN plan to air the gala on Feb. 25.

Kirsty Lang: In Praise of Meryl Streep

$

I was a young BBC reporter when I first met Margaret Thatcher on a cold Scottish hillside. She was standing in front of the wreckage of the Pan Am airliner that had exploded over Lockerbie. As the news pack surged forward, I was knocked to the ground, prompting the British prime minister to wade into the scrum, reach down and pull me up. It was a tiny glimpse of Thatcher's rarely displayed humanity which I was reminded of while watching Meryl Streep's startling performance in The Iron Lady.

I sincerely hope that Streep wins an Oscar this Sunday for her portrayal of Mrs. Thatcher, not just because she hasn't won in 29 years of stand-out performances, but because I don't think I have ever seen someone I know portrayed on screen with such veracity. And I've met a lot of politicians in my career, including Nelson Mandela and Tony Blair, whose lives have been dramatized on numerous occasions.

Matthew Paris, a former Conservative MP who worked for Thatcher said Streep's performance was so realistic, he felt haunted by it, as though a ghostly apparition of his old boss had stepped out of the cinema screen. "It's as if an old friend had been invaded and inhabited by a stranger, turned into a puppet."

Even those people who are not fans of the movie agree that Streep has captured Thatcher in appearance, voice and spirit. But I feel the actress should also be commended for her portrayal of old age. This is a contentious issue. A lot of Mrs. Thatcher's supporters don't want to see their heroine diminished by the passing of time; they want to remember her at the height of her powers. They object to the scenes in which she appears to forget that her husband is dead or that she is no longer prime minister. But I would argue that Meryl Streep portrays the elderly Thatcher with great dignity.

There is no shame in growing old. Indeed the director of the British Alzheimer's Society has praised The Iron Lady -- and Streep's performance -- for the way dementia is handled. We live in an aging society; most of us will at some point in our lives witness a loved one's brain muddled by the forgetfulness of old age. It may be painful to watch but it shouldn't be hidden away like some shameful family secret. I have a friend whose mother is suffering from dementia. She was moved to tears by Meryl Streep's performance. They were tears of painful recognition.

Streep has described The Iron Lady as King Lear for girls. But the actress also "gets" Thatcher when she was all-powerful and could reduce grown men to quivering wrecks with a glance. Writing in the Los Angeles Times, Matthew Parris says watching the movie brought back memories of being "skewered by those intense blue eyes making you feel she was seeing your innermost thoughts and inadequacies."

Thatcher continues to be an incredibly divisive figure in Britain. I was at university in London during her first term as prime minster and remember taking part in numerous demonstrations where we students would march down the street shouting, "Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, Out, Out, Out." But my stepfather recalls her years in power with misty-eyed admiration. As a member of the business community he saw her as a savior who rescued a paralyzed Britain from the clutches of the unions.

People either love or hate Maggie Thatcher, but they are rarely indifferent to her. It's a testimony to Meryl Streep's abilities as an actress that almost everyone who has seen The Iron Lady is united in the belief that it is a career-defining performance. It would be a tragedy if she didn't win an Oscar for it.

Whitney Houston, one of the world's biggest music artists, passed away last Saturday at the age of 48. A funeral remembering the legend is set for today at the New Hope Baptist Church in Houston's hometown of Newark, New Jersey. Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina, ex-husband Bobby Brown and around 1,500 other members of her family and friends are expected to attend the private funeral service today. The late singer and actress' "The Bodyguard" co-star Kevin Costner and longtime producer Clive Davis are also set to speak at the funeral, as well as Aretha Franklin, CeCe Winans and Stevie Wonder. Wonder is reportedly set to perform during the service, which the family has called a "home going" ceremony.

TMZ posted photographs of Bobbi Kristina, who was with Houston in Los Angeles when she died, arriving in New Jersey last night. Outside of New Hope Baptist Church, fans have been laying down balloons, flowers, cards and other commemorative material. The streets surrounding the church have also been been shut down to the public for the service.

Houston is set to be buried next to father John Houston, in Westfield, New Jersey. The hearse carrying Houston's casket was seen departing from Whigham Funeral Home for the church Saturday morning at around 10am.

The six-time Grammy winner was found unresponsive in her Beverly Hills hotel room one week ago; the reason for her death is unknown, though it is reported that prescription drugs were found in her room.

10 Things You Don't Know About Kris Jenner's Marriage

$

Though the Kardashian-Jenner clan seemingly bare all on their reality TV show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," there are some things about Kris and Bruce Jenner's marriage not even the most avid fans know.

Kris Jenner spoke to HuffPost Weddings about her relationship, offering insight into how the couple has stayed strong for nearly 21 years. Below, 10 things you might not know about the Jenners' relationship and their big family's life.

1. Bruce ordered meatloaf the first night they met.

"I thought, 'I love this guy, he has meatloaf and mashies.' It was fabulous."

2. The proposal was a total surprise.

"We were at a restaurant and he just dropped to a knee. We had been house-hunting all day and we were thinking about moving in together, and then I thought to myself, driving to the restaurant that we were going to, 'I must be out of my mind that we're house-hunting. We're not even married, we're not even engaged!' And that night he just busted out a move. He said, 'I am totally in love with you and would you marry me?' I was very surprised."

3. He didn't propose with a ring.

"You know when I got a ring? A few months ago in Bora Bora. I got my ring for my twentieth anniversary. We'd only known each other a few months [when we got engaged] and I don't think he really knew what my taste was. I'm really kind of picky about that stuff, in case you hadn't noticed. I'm very specific and he knew how anal I was. I'm kind of crazy that way."

4. Kris and her ex-husband Robert Kardashian were still best friends when Kris met Bruce; luckily the two men got along well.

"We [Robert and I] remained really, really close and had a really great parenting style with our kids. Then Bruce became really good friends with Robert, they would play golf together, so we've always had a one big happy family kind of a relationship. So with Bruce, everyone loves Bruce. When you get married to me, I had four kids at the time, so you've got to get married to the kids. So I had the kids and I had an ex-husband. He got everyone's stamp of approval. Bruce was delicious."

5. Kris and Bruce ride motorcycles together.

"We both have our own motorcycles, no one knows that ... When you're under that helmet nobody really knows who you are, so it's kind of fun.

Bruce has been into motorcycles since he won the Olympics ... I got him a Harley when we first got married, as a surprise. He loves Harleys, so I got him another one for Valentine's Day a few years ago. And then he surprised me with a pink Vespa a couple years ago. He bought me my first Harley in the 90's, he bought me a Harley Sportster. I got on it and we were driving, it was Christmas Day, and we were driving down Sunset Blvd. and I crashed my motorcycle on Sunset. I stopped at a red light and the bike stalled and I didn't know what to do so I jumped off and left the bike; the bike just fell over. That was the last time I rode my Harley. It scared me to death!"

6. They got married in a friend's backyard.

"It was a very intimate, small wedding ... I had such a big wedding the first time and we just really wanted close family and friends [the second time]. "

7. The worst argument they've ever had was over a toy helicopter.

"One time he put a helicopter in the back of one of my cars. It was so hot and he closed the trunk and the entire car caught on fire. That was our worst fight. I was like, 'Get your helicopters out of my life!'"

8. Kris doesn't give her daughters love advice.

"I try to stay out of it because I figure, you can't win with that. The heart knows what the heart wants ... I'm more advice-worthy when it comes to business relationship with them ... If they want to talk about somebody they're dating, or some situation they're having with a boyfriend or a husband, then I'm always here to listen and give my two cents."

9. A friend introduced Kris to Zestra, a new women's arousal product that she endorses, and she loved it right away.

"When you're married long-term you need to figure out things to do to spice up your relationship ... I had a friend who introduced me to Zestra. Guys are always talking about sex, and they've always had help in the bedroom. When I heard about this [product] I was like, 'Wow, there's something for women too.'"

10. One year, each of their six children attended a different school.

"Everybody needed to get there on time ... It was a big [challenge]."

Later Saturday, Brown was performing in Connecticut with New Edition. He appeared energetic and smiling and thanked the crowd for keeping his spirits up. At one point, he pointed his finger to the sky and said, "Blessings to my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. I love you."

Houston died Feb. 11. A cause of death hasn't been determined.

LONDON — Actress Judi Dench is battling to save her sight.

The James Bond star said in an interview published Saturday that she had been diagnosed with macular degeneration, an eye condition which can cause blindness, and that her eyesight was already so bad that she couldn't even read her own scripts.

The 77-year-old told the Daily Mirror that she was relying on friends and family to keep her up to speed with her lines.

"It's usually my daughter or my agent or a friend and actually I like that, because I sit there and imagine the story in my mind," she told the newspaper during an interview at a London hotel. "The most distressing thing is in a restaurant in the evening I can't see the person I'm having dinner with."

The Mirror didn't say exactly where or when the interview took place. Messages left for Dench's agent were not immediately returned Saturday.

Dench made her Shakespearean debut in 1957 at London's Old Vic and has since taken on a vast number of theater, film and television roles.

She won an Academy Award for her role as Queen Elizabeth I in "Shakespeare in Love" and is best known to international audiences as intelligence boss M in the James Bond series.

Costner Remembers Whitney: 'You Were Great'

Kevin Costner was among the list of high-profile figures who spoke at Whitney Houston's funeral service, held Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church, in Newark, New Jersey.

In a speech that was both somber and poignant, the 57-year-old actor recalled anecdotes from shooting 1992's "The Bodyguard." The film was the pop star's first movie role and also helped establish Houston as one of the world's most preeminent singers, featuring a Houston-led soundtrack that sold more than 42 million copies worldwide and a career-defining performance of "I Will Always Love You."

"At the height of her fame as a singer I asked her to be my costar in a movie called 'The Bodyguard.' I thought she was the perfect choice. But the red flags came out immediately. Maybe I should think this over a bit. I was reminded that this would be her first acting role. We could also think about another singer, was a suggestion. Maybe somebody white... Nobody said it out loud, but it was a fair question. It was. There would be a lot riding on this. Maybe a more experienced actress would be the way to go. It was clear that I had really had to think about this," Costner said.

"I told everyone that I had taken notice that Whitney was black," he added, to some laughter.

He continued: "It was the burden that made her great, and the part that caused her to stumble in end. Whitney, if you could hear me now, I would tell you, you weren't just good enough, you were great. You sang the whole damn song without a band. You made the picture what it was. A lot of leading men could have played my part, a lot of guys could have filled that role. But you Whitney, I truly believe, were the only one who could have played Rachel Marron at that time. You weren't just pretty. You were as beautiful as a woman could be. And people just didn't like you, Whitney. They loved you."

Coster also shared that he and Houston had both been raised in the Baptist Church.

"[Whitney] and I had a lot in common. I know many at this moment are thinking, really? 'She's a girl, you're a boy. You're white, she's black. We heard you like to sing, but our sister could really sing,'" Costner said, adding that one of Houston's favorite stories of Costner involved him growing up as a young boy in church.

Orlando Jones: Top 17 People Jeremy Lin SHOULD NOT Be Compared to... and Why!

$

Linsanity is sweeping the nation and everyone seems to have an opinion about Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin. They're comparing him to a lot of people.

Well, here's some people we should not compare him to:

1. Plaxico Burress -- Because when Lin shoots in New York it's legal.

2. Chris Rock -- Because when Lin plays the Garden he doesn't call anyone a "cracker-ass cracker."

3. Charles Oakely -- Because if Lin fights his punches just may be accurate.

4. Michael Jordan -- Because after six great basketball games you ARE NOT the greatest player in NBA history. You're 6 and 0 with no rings.

5. Yao Ming -- Both play pro basketball and are of Asian decent and your point is? Hitler and Arnold Schwarzenegger are both Austrian-born politicians. Obama and rapper TI both have similar complexions. OJ Simpson and I both have the same initials. What is wrong with stupid people?

6. Floyd Mayweather Jr. -- Because he thinks Linsanity is based on race. Which is the same as thinking playing hockey is based on having no teeth or thinking black people eat pork because Africa is shaped like a pork chop.

7. Lance Armstrong -- Because no matter how well Lin performs beating cancer is the bigger victory.

8. Ralph Lauren -- Because even though Lin is a superstar and hero in China they're still gonna bootleg his jersey.

9. Any foreign athlete -- I regret to inform the Klu Klux Klan and their various subsidiaries but Jeremy Lin is American. So suck it bigots!

10. Jackie Chan -- Because we DO understand the words coming from Lin's mouth.

11. Tim Tebow -- Because Lin has already completed more passes.

12. Latrell Sprewell -- Because Lin really DID graduate from college.

13. Mark Zuckerberg -- Because watching Lin is more fun than pretending to remember the girl who sat behind you in third grade from her Facebook profile photo.

14. Nicki Minaj -- Because Lin's English professor at Harvard would kill him for writing, "Now all the bums is wondering where I be's at -- if you ain't a Barbie it's none of your freaking beeswax!!!"

15. Mayor Bloomberg -- Because Lin CAN actually read the Mandarin billboards in Chinatown.

16. Charlie Sheen -- Because THIS is what winning really is. It's when you work hard, ignore the haters and the rejection, keep your eyes on the prize, stay prepared for the moment when opportunity knocks and surpass everyone's, maybe even your own, expectations. That's winning. That's Linsanity.

17. Paparazzi whores -- Because wouldn't it be great if Linsanity marked the end of the no talent media manufactured train wrecks of the last decade? You're right, I'm asking for to much. Let's just be thankful for the Linsanity we got.

Her husband, Lamar Odom, was abruptly traded last December by the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks.

The transition is one of the events documented in the second season of the E! Entertainment Television series "Khloe and Lamar," which premieres Sunday.

The 27-year-old Kardashian Odom talked about their move to Dallas and the couple's "active" sex life in a recent interview.

AP: The new season of "Khloe and Lamar" will show Lamar being traded to the Mavericks. People might not realize there's no notice with something like that.

Kardashian Odom: You get to see kind of an inside view of how fast it happens. I stayed behind so I could pack and figure out what to do. ... Moving in general is stressful, so moving to a state that I've never been is stressful. Then when your husband's having a very emotional transition, that's like adding one more layer to this. Then I'm having the camera crew film and for them, they love it. They're like, `This is gold!' I'm like, `Can't you just leave us alone for one week?' But, you know, that's what you know we signed up for.

AP: You're often spotted at your husband's games and often with a camera.

Kardashian Odom: I'm like a soccer mom.

AP: Yes! Are you proud of him?

Kardashian Odom: I'm proud of him. I've had a very supportive family. Lamar has no siblings, and so I want him to know that someone is always at his games supporting him. I wasn't able to be at one home game and so my brother went for me. I always want Lamar to know someone is at his games supporting him.

AP: Are you trying to get pregnant?

Kardashian Odom: I was writing down my ovulation days, but it took the fun out of trying to get pregnant in my opinion and for Lamar, too. We were both like, `OK, this is like, I don't want to be told, when (to have sex)' ... like it's too much and it's too strategic. It's supposed to be romantic, so I now stopped all of that. ... We're enjoying each other, we have a very active love life.

AP: Does the attention about it bother you?

Kardashian Odom: I think we got married so fast, I think people expected us to have a baby. Now people want to spin it to make it seem like it's something bigger, like I'm doing all of these fertility treatments or I can't carry a baby or whatever the case may be. It doesn't offend me and it doesn't bother me. ... When it's meant to be, it will be.

AP: On the last season of your sisters' reality show, "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," one thing that seemed to happen is (Kourtney's boyfriend) Scott (Disick) redeemed himself and people started to like him. Have you noticed that? (In previous reality shows about the Kardashian family, Disick was depicted as having anger issues and possibly drinking too much.)

Kardashian Odom: I've definitely noticed a change and he's trying. He's a great dad. ... Also, when you re-watch your episodes of the TV shows, for me like even if I talk to my mom a certain way I'm like, `Oh that's so nasty,' and I try to work on it. Maybe he does the same thing. I've definitely noticed a growth in him. And there was so much other drama going on (with sister Kim's 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries), I think it made him look better, too.

Clive Davis Remembers Whitney Houston

"You wait a lifetime for a voice like that," Clive Davis said at Whitney Houston's funeral Saturday.

The famed music producer and longtime collaborator of Houston's spoke fondly of her tenacity and the joy that her work brought her. Davis and Houston worked together for three decades, spanning a career of a scale that few performers have ever experienced.

He sidestepped discussing Houston's battles with drugs and her abusive relationship with Bobby Brown (who left the ceremony after a seating dispute). "Yes, she admitted to crises in her life. Yes, she confessed to Oprah about her searing battles," he said. "But when I needed her she was there."

The funeral capped a long week for Houston fans, and one that was not without controversy for Davis himself. Houston died while in town for Davis' annual pre-Grammys party, and died just hours before the party was to begin. Davis elected not to cancel the party, drawing criticism from Chaka Khan and other celebrities.

Davis also shared details of a private conversation he had with Houston just before she died, in which the singer hinted at plans of a large comeback:

"... last week Whitney came to my hotel bungalow alone -- no bodyguards, no security, just Whitney and me. And she played her new cuts from Sparkle for me and I played some new music that I liked for her. It was like old times and she looked at me and quietly said, "I want you to know I’m getting in shape. I’m swimming an hour or two a day and I’m committed to get my high notes back -- no cigarettes -- plenty of vocal exercising -- Clive, I’ll be ready by August."

"I'm going to to hold you to it," Davis said Saturday.
