"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" breakout star Brandi Glanville has become a fan favorite for saying exactly what’s on her mind. Last week, she revealed how ex-husband Eddie Cibrian left her broke when they split in 2009 after 13 years together.
Despite that, Glanville says she wishes nothing but the best for Cibrian and country music singer LeAnn Rimes, with whom Cibrian is now involved. It's a far cry from Glanville's initial reaction to her then-husband's affair with the singer.
“People would be surprised, but I genuinely want him and LeAnn to do well," Glanville told The Huffington Post. "I want her to sell her music and him to be a successful actor. When they do well, I do well. We share children together and it’s all about the kids.”
Brandi also said she knows people think she can’t stop talking about her ex-husband, but that the “truth is, every interview I do, I am asked about him and I answer with the truth. When I’m not doing interviews, I don't think about them anymore. I have moved on.”
And even though she says she has moved beyond her past and is focused on her future, she can’t help but enjoy the fact that she has become so much more successful since Eddie walked out of her life.
“When Eddie left me, I was broke. I never paid attention to any of the money stuff. Everything was in his name so I had no credit. It was very difficult. I could have hooked up with an old man in Hollywood and got him to pay my bills -- it’s not hard in Hollywood. But I didn't, I survived by myself,” she said. “I have to admit, the success of the show gives me a lot of satisfaction. But I don’t think of myself as a celebrity and I don't think I earn more money than Eddie ... yet.”
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" airs Mondays on Bravo at 9 p.m. ET.
