Nadya Suleman checked in to the Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center in Southern California to help deal with a dependence on the prescription anti-anxiety drug Xanax, according to TMZ.
The site reports that Suleman has left the care of her 14 children to three nannies and two friends.
“Ms. Suleman has been taking Xanax that was prescribed by her doctor to deal with her anxiety but she felt she needed a treatment program to help with her recovery,” her representative said in a statement to ABCNews.com. “She will be in treatment for 28 days or more if needed.”
The news comes weeks after Suleman avoided being charged for child neglect. The allegations were made by a woman who had become obsessed with Octomom's kids, according to Suleman's manager, Gina Rodriguez.
