The newest project from "Weird Al" Yankovic, a web series entitled "Face to Face with 'Weird Al' Yankovic," debuted on the Nerdist YouTube Channel on Tuesday. The series appears to resurrect the spliced-up celebrity interviews that Al first performed on his "Al-TV" specials on MTV (and later VH1). In the first edition of the new 10-minute show, he "interviews" actors Denzel Washington and Megan Fox.
Yankovic, who is currently suing Sony Music over his share of digital royalties, will put out the show every other week on Tuesdays. "Face to Face" is one of the more high profile shows launching on the Nerdist Channel, which will roll out a few dozen shows over the next few months to go along with the blog and podcast empire headed up by comedian Chris Hardwick.
Other shows already on the YouTube channel, which users can subscribe to, include "All-Star Celebrity Bowling with Chris Hardwick" and "Cute Things Exploding."
