Amy Schumer Shows Why The Internet Needs To Get Over Its Disney Princess Obsession

$

The Internet is nauseatingly obsessed with Disney princesses, and even more obsessed with imagining them in some altered state. (As Velociraptors, seriously?) While websites love to fixate on things like how characters are animated so that their eyes are bigger than their wrists, or how they would look if they had more realistic waistlines, Amy Schumer's latest sketch tackles the bigger question of why anyone would want to be a princess at all.

Sure, Disney movies and their characters are sanitized versions of classic fairy tales by the Grimm Brothers and Hans Christian Anderson, but when all the adventure is said and done, being a princess is actually all about being married off as an underage teenager, and hoping you can produce a male heir.

Besides, everyone knows happily ever after isn't a real thing.

ATLANTA (AP) — A court-appointed representative of Bobbi Kristina Brown has filed a lawsuit against her partner, Nick Gordon, claiming he took money from her and abused her physically and emotionally.

Bedilia Hargrove filed a lawsuit against Gordon Wednesday in Fulton County Superior Court. The complaint says Gordon routinely transferred large amounts of money from Brown's accounts to his without Brown's permission.

The complaint also accused Gordon of misrepresenting his relationship with Brown, being violent toward her and taking more than $11,000 from her account after she was found face down in a bathtub at her suburban Atlanta townhome.

Gordon is accused of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, unjust enrichment and conversion.

The suit seeks at least $10 million in damages. A call to Gordon's attorney was not immediately returned.

Kim Kardashian is joining a prestigious list that includes Teddy Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr., Dwight D. Eisenhower, Bill Clinton and Bill Gates.

The 33-year-old reality star is set to speak to San Francisco's venerable Commonwealth Club next week to discuss her new book of selfies and her famous family. Also on the agenda, according to the Commonwealth website, is "the business of millennial culture" and "the objectification of women in media."

Tickets for the June 30 event — described only as "a book signing" by Kardashian's publicist — range from $40 for general admission to $300 for the VIP Party Package.

Kardashian's appearance is sponsored by Glu Mobile Inc., the San Francisco-based video game company that made her megahit mobile game, "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood."

A spokeswoman for the Commonwealth Club said Wednesday that the event was originally set to be held at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, California, but it will probably be moved to San Francisco's Castro Theatre.

Founded in 1903, the Commonwealth Club bills itself as the nation's oldest and largest public affairs forum, dedicated to impartial discussion of public issues.

Kylie Jenner is killing it in Cannes.

The 17-year-old again channeled her older sister Kim Kardashian -- this time in a white crop top and sheer skirt that's somewhat reminiscent of a dress the reality star wore to the Met Gala this year, for a yacht party at the Cannes Lions Festival on Wednesday.

The teen hit up the bash alongside her 25-year-old boyfriend Tyga, mother Kris Jenner and her mother's boyfriend Corey Gamble, who posed for photographers before the the festivities began.

And though she's apparently been training Kylie well, Kardashian would never be outdone. The pregnant reality star was also in attendance, arriving in a sheer black dress.

Goldie Hawn On The Most Important Thing A Parent Can Do For A Child

$

As a mother of three adult children, actress Goldie Hawn has learned a lot about parenting over the last three decades. Though her kids -- Kate Hudson, Oliver Hudson and Wyatt Russell -- have followed in their mother's footsteps and pursued careers in entertainment, Goldie has always believed in the importance of allowing her children to define themselves and live their own lives. Of course, wanting to let go and then actually being able to do it are two different things.

Like many moms and dads, Goldie admits she struggled with stepping back, especially with her middle child, Kate. But, as Goldie tells "Oprah's Master Class" in the above video, an ancient story in Greek mythology helped her realize the importance of giving kids room to discover their own identities.

"One of my favorite stories is Demeter and Persephone," Goldie says. "It's a story of a mother and daughter, and how the mother was everything to that daughter. The daughter looked at her, and the sun rose and set on her. And they had so much fun together."

As the story goes, Persephone grew into a beautiful young woman and was abducted by Hades, the god of the underworld. Demeter was beyond distraught and grieved the loss of her daughter. The goddess of the harvest, Demeter stopped caring whether crops lived or died, and her grief was reflected in the seasons. "It was winter, then it was fall, and it was winter again. Then she created fall again," Goldie says. "Spring and summer didn't exist, because of her bereavement."

Then, Hades agreed to a deal that would return the young woman to Demeter.

"She said, 'If I can have my daughter back for half of the year, I will create summer and spring," Goldie says. "Her daughter came back -- greater, more formed. Their relationship moved on in a different relationship, but it brought the mother great joy."

Goldie's interpretation of the myth sheds light on Persephone's transformation. "She had to become a woman, and she had to leave the clutches of her mother, in order to define who she is," she says. "To find out who she is, to individuate, to become whole."

While this Greek myth itself may be ancient, the lesson that Goldie takes from it is truly timeless.

"What this is, is an example of how we as mothers have to be able to not just pass the baton, but to be able to give free reign for your daughter to grow, to make mistakes," she says. "Doesn't mean they're not watched. But it means that they're honored. You watch them [become individuals], you watch them fight you."

As she sees it, this is a crucial component of parenthood.

"That's what being a mother is also, is witnessing. Just be there. You don't always have to power over," Goldie says. "I believe that this is one of the most important things as a parent you can do... to let go, in times, so these children can formulate their own identity."

Related: Goldie explains why she sees no reason to marry her longtime love, Kurt Russell.

"Oprah's Master Class" airs on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story stated that Kate Hudson is Hawn's eldest child. Oliver Hudson is her eldest child; Kate is her second child.

Dustin Diamond Sentenced To Jail In Barroom Stabbing

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (AP) — Dustin Diamond, who played Screech on the 1990s TV show "Saved by the Bell," was sentenced Thursday to 4 months in jail for a stabbing in a Wisconsin bar.

Judge Paul Malloy also sentenced Diamond to 15 months' probation and ordered him to report to jail Sunday. Diamond was convicted earlier this month on two misdemeanor counts that stemmed from a Christmas Day barroom fight.

Diamond, appearing misty-eyed, left the courtroom without commenting.

The 38-year-old actor was cleared of a felony charge last month after a three-day jury trial. The jury found him guilty of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.

Malloy said the sentence "has to send a message to the community that we're just not going to live like this."

The actor told jurors that he took out a knife that day to try to ward off people, including a woman who punched his girlfriend. He said he then accidentally stabbed a man during an altercation.

"I sincerely apologize to everyone involved," Diamond said at the hearing Thursday. "This was the single most terrifying experience of my life ... This is all I've been able to think about for the last six months."

Witnesses testified that Diamond's girlfriend, Amanda Schutz, pushed one woman at the bar and grabbed another woman's hand, initiating the bar fight. Schutz was also convicted of disorderly conduct last month and Malloy fined her $500.

Ozaukee County District Attorney Adam Gerol said during the trial that Diamond lied about what happened and that the actor had scripted his testimony.

Gerol showed body-camera footage of Diamond's testimony to a Port Washington police officer the night of the fight. In the video, Diamond first said he might have struck the man with a pen. In a video of testimony later that night, Diamond said he had a knife at the bar, but hadn't used it to stab anyone.

Port Washington is 25 miles north of Milwaukee.

Since his role on the popular 1990s TV show about Bayside High School students, Diamond has been sued several times for delinquent taxes and in foreclosure proceedings for missing mortgage payments. He has appeared on reality TV shows, made a sex tape and most recently produced a tell-all documentary on Lifetime TV called "The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story."

It's official, you will be able to stream Taylor Swift's "1989" on Apple Music. The "Bad Blood" singer announced the news on Twitter on Thursday.

But Swift wants her fans to know that the decision isn't a part of an exclusive deal with Apple:

The announcement comes after Swift wrote an open letter to Apple Music on her Tumblr on Sunday. In the letter, the singer claimed she would not feature her album on the new streaming platform due to the fact that the company would not be paying artists during its free three-month trial period. Swift wrote, "I'm not willing to contribute my life's work to an experiment that I don't feel fairly compensates the writers, producers, artists, and creators of this music."

The letter quickly got the attention of Apple Music. Eddy Cue, Apple's Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, tweeted on Sunday assuring Swift that the company would "always make sure that artist are paid."

J Balvin Cancels Miss USA Performance Over Donald Trump's Comments About Latinos

Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin has cancelled his upcoming performance at the Miss USA beauty pageant because of Donald Trump's recent disparaging comments about Latino immigrants. Trump's Miss Universe Organization holds the Miss USA pageant, which is scheduled to air on NBC July 12.

“It was going to be my first performance on national [mainstream] television,” Balvin told Billboard. “But we’re talking about our roots, our culture, our values,” he added. “This isn’t about being punitive, but about showing leadership through social responsibility. His comments weren’t just about Mexicans, but about all Latins in general.”

In the June 16 speech announcing his candidacy for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, Trump said he would "build a great wall" on the U.S.-Mexico border and make Mexico pay for it and said immigrants from Latin America were subpar.

“The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems," he said. "It’s true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

In a follow-up Facebook post Wednesday night, Balvin said he feels "totally comfortable" with his decision to back out of the performance.

Others are taking action, too. Former Miss Universe Lupita Jones, who is now in charge of the organization that chooses Miss Mexico, might pull the nation from the contest over Trump's comments.

“Following the first statements made by Donald Trump, where he openly showed his enmity with Mexico… I got in touch with the organization’s president Paula Shugart to find out their position on Mexico’s representative,” Jones tweeted, according to Fox News Latino.

Additionally, Univision -- which was originally scheduled to air the pageant -- announced Thursday it has ended its business with the Miss Universe Organization.

"At Univision we see first-hand the work ethic, love for family, strong religious values and the important role Mexican immigrants and Mexican-Americans have had and will continue to have in building the future of our country," the company said in a statement. "We will not be airing the Miss USA pageant on July 12th or working on any other projects tied to the Trump Organization."

Kris Jenner Breaks Silence On Caitlyn Jenner's Vanity Fair Cover

When Caitlyn Jenner's Vanity Fair cover was released, it seemed everyone had something to say about it. Everyone but Kris Jenner, that is.

But on Wednesday night, the Kardashian family matriarch finally broke her silence on the now-iconic cover.

While attending the Daily Mail yacht party in Cannes, the 59-year-old reality TV star told Extra, "I think it's amazing. I think that someone following their dream is truly inspirational to a lot of people ... you have to do what makes you happy."

She went on to add that the cover is "beautiful."

Since its debut on June 1, Kris has remained tight-lipped about the cover story -- she didn't tweet, comment or Instagram one word. And according to Hollywood Life, Kris wasn't too happy with how she was portrayed in the accompanying VF interview, in which she was quoted saying:

"He was married to me and he wasn't who he wanted to be so he was miserable. Why would you want to be married and have kids if this is what you wanted since you were a little boy? Why would you not explain this all to me?”

It's no doubt been a challenging transition for the family, but it's nice to hear that Kris is standing behind Caitlyn.

Michelle Rodriguez Thinks It's 'Sexy' Cara Delevingne Is In Love With A Woman

Cara Delevingne recently opened up about her sexuality to Vogue, and (rumored) former flame Michelle Rodriguez couldn't be happier.

During the press launch for the Fast & Furious-Supercharged ride at Universal Studios, E! News asked the 36-year-old what she thought about the British model's admission that she's in love with singer Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent). Her response was awesome.

"Oh, that's so sexy, you go girl! Work it out! I think that's hot!" she told E! host Maria Menounos. The "Furious 7" star, who came out as bisexual back in 2013, also noted that it's not easy to be open and honest about sexual orientation in a judgmental society.

"I think everybody should be open about everything in their lives, but at the end of the day the world isn't that black and white," she said. "You've got some people who, if they really did say what they do for a living, they'd lose their job. And that's the real world. The real world is that with the truth comes judgment. And with judgment comes opinion and with opinion comes stupidity, ignorance and all these other things that can really mess up your life."

Delevingne, 22, stuns on the cover of Vogue's July 2015 issue, and though she doesn't publicly define her sexual preferences, she does open up about her relationship.

"I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I'm feeling so happy with who I am these days," she said in the interview. "And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle."

Rodriguez continued with more praise for the blond beauty: "For her to come out, god bless, I think that's beautiful."

Even Emilia Clarke Hopes Jon Snow Will Return On 'Game Of Thrones'

"Game of Thrones" fans haven't stopped speculating over Jon Snow's fate following the devastating Season 5 finale, but what does the Mother of Dragons think?

Emilia Clarke recently sat down with MTV News to discuss the season finale, which left her character Daenerys Targaryen surrounded by a Dothraki khalasar and Jon Snow murdered by his brothers of the Night's Watch. But since the episode aired, one question remains: Is Jon Snow really dead? Clarke said that she honestly doesn't know what will happen next on the series, saying, "They know that I can't lie very well." But she does think there's a chance Jon will return.

"If I had to bet, I'd say there's like a 50/50 chance," Clarke told MTV News. "I mean, there's some helpful people there who could bring him on back to life. But if [his death] means that I'm that much closer to getting to the Throne, then hey, okay," she said with a laugh.

One of those "helpful people" Clarke is referring to is likely Melisandre, who is Jon's one main hope for resurrection. Now that the Red Woman is at the Wall, there is a chance she could preserve Jon's body from being burned and help to resurrect him from the dead. Other theories predict that Jon warged into the body of his direwolf Ghost at the moment of his death (we've already analyzed the possibleflickering colors in his eyes during the scene). There's also the theory that Jon could be reborn from fire when and if his body is burned by the Night's Watch -- you know, because of R + L = J. However, that's all complicated by the minor detail that Jon may not be resistant to fire as Dany is.

When considering a couple of other small details, like a casting call for one Season 6 character and the fact that Kit Harington was (reportedly) spotted in Belfast in secrecy, that 50/50 chance seems to lean toward the positive. If the Khaleesi believes, so do we.

For more, head to MTV News.

How Country Music Reconciles Its Love For Jesus With Its Love For Beer

$

Picture country music on a spectrum of song themes. On one end, there's the conservative values stereotypically associated with the simple life: Do your work, go to church, love your husband or wife. On the other end, there's Toby Keith singing an homage to red Solo Cups, undying patriotism and, of course, trucks. Both ends have had astronomical success, and sometimes those opposing forces come together in a single song, like Thomas Rhett's 2012 track "Beer With Jesus." Rolling Stone Country explored the role of God in the changing genre with an in-depth piece last month, and the conversation continued on HuffPost Live on Tuesday, when host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani talked with a panel of county music experts about how fans and artists alike reconcile their faith with their party-friendly tunes.

Here Are The 'Ted 2' Jokes That Might've Gone Too Far, According To Mark Wahlberg

$

Given his track record, Mark Wahlberg has seemed more afraid of doing sequels than his "Ted" character ever was of thunder, but that's not the case with "Ted 2."

When The Huffington Post asked Wahlberg if he could "feel the vibrations" for his new movie, he said, "Oh, absolutely! And I feel the heat! I feel it all." His co-star Amanda Seyfried was equally enthusiastic, saying she "had a blast filming" and would even be down for "Ted 3" if it happens.

Despite all the love, not every moment during filming was a thunder buddy for life. The racy humor in "Ted 2" completely blows the original away, so Huffington Post asked the actors which jokes were their personal thunder buddies, and which pushed things a little far.

(Warning! "Ted 2" spoilers!)

"Ted 2" hits theaters June 26. No thunder allowed.

Donald Trump Claims He Will Sue Univision For 'Hundreds Of Millions' Over Miss USA

$

Donald Trump says he will sue Univision for "hundreds of millions of dollars" if the network holds to its decision to not air the Miss USA pageant next month.

Univision announced Thursday it will not air the Miss USA pageant on July 12 "or [work] on any other projects tied to the Trump Organization" after the businessman made disparaging remarks about Mexicans earlier this month during a speech announcing his candidacy for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. Trump is a part owner of the Miss Universe Organization.

"The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems," Trump said during his announcement.

The 69-year-old mogul told TMZ that Univision has a five-year, iron-clad deal with the Miss Universe Organization to air the show and he will sue because the network has "no legal right" to back out of it. He told TMZ that Univision was "immediately apologetic after pulling the plug."

NBCUniversal and the Miss Universe Organization entered a long-term partnership with Univision in January to co-produce the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants and bring them to the network.

Trump claimed Univision caved to pressure from the Mexican government.

"They don't want me saying that Mexico is killing the United States in trade and killing the United States at the border," Trump told The Associated Press on Thursday. "Univision is totally laying down for the Mexican government. ... They want to silence Donald Trump. And Donald Trump can't be silenced. ... I have great respect for Mexico and I love the Mexican people, but my loyalty is to the United States."

Actress Roselyn Sanchez, who was supposed to co-host the pageant, and Colombian singer J Balvin, who was scheduled to perform, have announced they'll no longer participate in the event.

A Univision representative declined to comment on Trump's lawsuit threat.

Kaitlyn Bristowe Hopes Her 'Intimate' Moment Will Lead To A Larger Discussion About Sex On 'The Bachelor'

Kaitlyn Bristowe changed the "Bachelor" game this week after having sex with a suitor before the fantasy suite dates, and admitting to it -- gasp! The "Bachelorette" star got freaky "intimate" with contestant Nick Viall on Monday night's episode following a romantic, and steamy, one-on-one date in Dublin, Ireland. "Nick makes me feel like a woman, a desired woman," she said in her confessional.

Yes, there was a lot of whiskey involved and, yes, making out was much more important to them than small talk, but who are we to judge how Kaitlyn goes about finding "the one"? Sex is a part of any romantic relationship, and believe it or not, she's not the only "Bachelor" or "Bachelorette" star to do the nasty on live TV -- ummm, Ben and Courtney's skinny-dipping sesh, anyone?!

"It makes me SO angry that there is such a double standard in this world when it comes to men and women having sex," former "Bachelorette" star Ali Fedotowsky wrote on her blog following this week's episode. "I can assure you that Kaitlyn is NOT the first person to have sex with someone on the show. In fact, I would argue that 95% of the Bachelors and Bachelorette[s] DO have sex on the show. Sure, Kaitlyn did it before the infamous fantasy suite, but does that really matter? I’ve heard Mike Fleiss (the creator of the show) say that one of the Bachelors had sex with something like 6 of his 25 women!!! I’m not going to say who that Bachelor is, but people didn’t slut shame him. So stop judging Kaitlyn for following her heart annnnnnd her vagina ;)."

"Everything happens for a reason," Kaitlyn told The Huffington Post in a sit-down interview on Wednesday. "Maybe this happened to me and now we can speak out about it and other Bachelors or Bachelorettes can come forward and we can address the issue. I like that people have my back, especially people like Ali," she added.

As for how she's handling the backlash following the controversial episode, Kaitlyn admits that she feels a little guilty about doing the deed with Nick, but only because she should have considered how it would affect her relationships with the other guys.

"Obviously, I’m a real person, so yes, I feel guilty after something like that because there are other people involved," she told HuffPost. "I don’t know what people are mad at -- whether it’s the act of sex in a relationship or if it’s like the other guys’ feelings -- but at the same time, I’m like, well, I’m dating all of them, so?"

Frontrunner Shawn Booth, whom Kaitlyn had an automatic connection with, seems to be the one who is most concerned about her clear bond with Nick, and her relationships with some of the other men, as well. As the owner of the first impression rose, Shawn seems to have this idea implanted in his head that Kaitlyn is his girlfriend, and only his girlfriend. (It could also have something to do with the fact that she apparently told him he was "it" and "the one" in an off-camera moment.)

"Do you not know what we have? It's insane ... I f--king love the girl," Shawn told a crew member during a behind-the-scenes conversation on the most recent episode.

shawn

But although Kaitlyn has confessed that she's falling for Shawn, she's still the Bachelorette, which means she still has to date other men until the end of the season. (C'mon, Shawn, you know this, right?!)

"I think I somewhat understand where he’s coming from just because it’s been so strong between us since the get-go," she explained. "How do you deal with that when it feels like it’s so right? But I also, at the same time, was like, ‘Oooh, how do I explain this?’ I can’t even wrap my head around it so I don't expect the guys to, especially Shawn."

Something else she can't seem to wrap her head around is being on a reality TV show. At times, Kaitlyn forgets she's on camera, admitting in a confessional during her date with Nick this week: "I forget there's cameras. I forget there's people involved in this. It's just him and me. I'm ready to just be like, 'Hey, you want to go back to my suite and whatever happens, happens?'" And what happened was a lot of kissing, a lot of touching and a lot of behind-closed-doors dirty talk, that was, of course, recorded without them knowing because THIS. IS. A. DATING. SHOW.

When asked if she and Nick's microphones were on when they went into her bedroom, Kaitlyn paused before saying, "I’m always aware that the mics could be on. We didn’t have mics on, but I’m aware that the door is shut and that there’s a mic somewhere. So, it’s hard."

So yeah, Kaitlyn's goal wasn't for you to hear her sensual moans on Monday night, but hey, secret mics are sneaky bitches, amirite?

bristowe

Let's get to the question on everyone's mind, though: Do the guys find out about Kaitlyn's "intimate" night with Nick? "That you will have to watch for," she told HuffPost. But, to be honest, she's sick and tired of talking about it. On Tuesday night in New York City, Kaitlyn met up with former "Bachelorette" star Andi Dorfman, who coincidentally also slept with Nick -- the runner-up on her season -- and was called out on national television after she chose Josh Murray instead of him. “If you weren’t in love with me, I don’t know why you made love with me,” Nick told Andi during the "After the Final Rose" special last year. She didn't take that comment well, so it's no surprise that Kaitlyn didn't mention her own sexual escapades with Nick on their recent dinner date with fellow former "Bachelor" contestant, Sharleen Joynt.

"I don’t think [Andi and Nick] speak, but I’m friends with Andi and Sharleen and we just kind of separate our friendships from what happened," she told HuffPost. "We didn’t talk about Nick [the other night] because I didn’t want to. I was like, can we just have a normal dinner?"

Speaking of normal, can we just have a NORMAL rose ceremony this season? Anyone else over the start-of-the-episode elimination rather than the standard end-of-the-episode one?

"It’s throwing me off too," Kaitlyn insisted. "I’m like, ‘No! Another cliffhanger? Dammit!’ I think there’s just so much buildup on so many of these episodes that the beginning of the episode rose ceremony just kind of works."

And the buildup is brewing as the final few episodes of "The Bachelorette" approach. J.J. Lane and Joe Bailey are headed on that dreaded two-on-one date, Kaitlyn and Shawn finally have that discussion and Jared Haibon will slowly steal that frontrunner title -- as Shawn and Nick continue to whine and mooooaaann in Ireland. (Got to hand it to Jared: guy knows how to keep his eye on the prize and away from the drama.)

Also, will Ben Zorn or Ben Higgins win over Kaitlyn's heart or will one of them become the next Bachelor? According to Kaitlyn, there are some other men who want to nab the coveted role.

"Tony [Harris] and Ian [Thomson] tweet about it sometimes being like, ‘Yeah, I would be a great Bachelor' ... so I just find it hilarious," she told HuffPost of the least-liked men of the season, while letting out her signature booming laugh. "Oh, they’ll learn quickly it won’t happen."

"The Bachelorette" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.

When Paul Rudd signed on to play the titular superhero in the upcoming Marvel movie "Ant-Man," his son had a hilarious reaction.

The actor told "Entertainment Tonight" about 9-year-old Jack's response to the news. "When I told my own son that I was going to be in a superhero movie, he asked what it was," Rudd recalled. "I said, 'We'll I'll be playing Ant-Man.' He said, 'What?' He was not that impressed."

In fact, Rudd added, "What he actually said was ‘wow I can’t wait to see how stupid that’ll be.'"

Gotta love parenting.

A 'Sweet Valley High' Reboot Is Not Totally Out Of The Question, Says Brittany Daniel

Hollywood is rebooting everything else these days so why not reboot "Sweet Valley High," too?

Brittany Daniel who played Jessica Wakefield on the series based on author Francine Pascal's books, said the potential for a reboot is not totally out of the question (basically because no one has said "no," yet).

“We have a conversation with Francine Pascal in the next couple of weeks so, yeah, we're definitely interested in doing a reboot of that,” the 39-year-old actress told Us Weekly at the premiere of "Joe Dirt 2" on Wednesday.

The "we" Daniel is referring to is, of course, herself and twin sister Cynthia Daniel, who played Elizabeth Wakefield during the show's run from 1994 to 1997. While the show, which detailed the lives of a group of teens in the fictitious Sweet Valley, California, aired on Fox and later UPN, Disney-ABC Domestic Television reportedly now owns the rights to the series. The Huffington Post reached out to the network to see if there has ever even been chatter about putting the program back on the airwaves. Request for comment was not immediately returned.

Though "Full House" is finding new life on Netflix, it seems doubtful "Sweet Valley High" would get the green light for a new generation. The original series was pretty terrible and wasn't exactly a huge career starter for anyone involved -- it did have a great theme song, though.

And if there's a lesson from Sweet Valley Confidential, Pascal's spinoff novel which was released in 2011 and picks up 10 years after readers last left the Wakefield twins, it's that it's sometimes best to leave the past in the past.

Miley Cyrus is officially the "Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2015," according to PETA.

The "We Can't Stop" singer was awarded the accolade because of her "unflinching dedication to animal rights and her decision to go vegan." She's wholeheartedly committed to a vegan lifestyle and she often shared details of her dairy-free and meat-free diet with fans.

The 22-year-old, who recently wrote a song for her deceased pet fish, is also a serious animal lover. She has a group of rescued dogs, a pet pig, and a kitten (with its very own Instagram account).

The Happy Hippie beat out over 100 stars, including Ariana Grande and Ellie Goulding, for the top spot. She joins a huge list of former celebrity Sexiest Vegetarians, including Olivia Wilde, Carrie Underwood, and 2014 winner Jared Leto.
