Billy Joel is going to be a dad for the second time.

Joel's girlfriend, Alexis Roderick, is pregnant. The baby is due this summer, a rep for the 65-year-old star said in a statement to The Huffington Post, adding that the couple is opting "to keep any further details of her pregnancy under wraps until their new addition makes an official debut."

The two have been dating since 2009 after his split from ex-wife Katie Lee. Roderick is from Long Island and worked as a senior risk officer for Morgan Stanley in Garden City. They met at a restaurant in Huntington, New York and were friends before their romance began, the New York Daily News previously reported.

In October, the New York Post reported that the couple lives together in Oyster Bay. At that time, the "Piano Man" musician had no immediate plans to remarry.

Joel is already father to Alexa Ray, 29, his daughter with ex-wife Christie Brinkley.

Chef Homaro Cantu Of 'Miracle Berry' Fame Found Dead At 38

Famed Chef Homaro Cantu, best known for the "flavor tripping" concoctions at his internationally renowned Chicago restaurants, was found dead Tuesday afternoon on the city's Northwest Side, The Chicago Tribune reports. He was 38.

Cantu was found in the building where he had been planning a brewery. The Tribune, citing anonymous police sources, reported that he appeared to have been hanged and that the death was being investigated as a suicide.

“I loved him dearly. It’s really terrible to see him go in this way. I’m going to miss him a lot,” Trevor Rose-Hamblin, Cantu’s friend and business partner, told The Sun-Times.

In a 2013 interview with The Huffington Post, Cantu said he came to Chicago from the West Coast in the '90s to work under the world-renowned chef Charlie Trotter at his eponymous restaurant.

"I made it my life's goal to become a sous chef for Charlie Trotter," Cantu told HuffPost at the time. "I literally just flew out here one day with $300 in my pocket and no place to stay, and I knocked on the back door and got a job."

Cantu, who is survived by two daughters, met wife Katie McGowan when she did a one-day stint as guest chef in Trotter's kitchen.

After four years as Trotter's sous chef, Cantu went on to lead -- and later own -- the Michelin-starred Moto, an avant-garde restaurant that featured molecular gastronomy and edible menus.

Cantu had long experimented with the West African "miracle berry," which alters how tastebuds perceive sweet and sour. The "flavor tripping" effect played heavily into the concepts for his now-shuttered iNG restaurant and the coffee shop Berrista, and was the subject of cookbooks and cooking shows.

Cantu had a scientist's obsession with food, using technology to tinker with everything from flavors to kitchen ordering systems in his restaurants.

In 2007, he wowed audiences by beating Chef Morimoto on the third season of Food Network's "Iron Chef." His patented designs have been picked up by both NASA and Whirlpool.

When Trotter, his mentor, died in 2013, Cantu went on to help lead the Charlie Trotter Project and continue the chef's mission of philanthropy and culinary innovation.

"MasterChef" Judge Graham Elliot, a fellow Trotter protégé, was among the food world's stars sharing condolences Tuesday:

In the months before his death, Cantu was hit with a lawsuit by an ex-business investor claiming the chef improperly used money from Moto's coffers to fund personal expenses and other business ventures.

Gillian Anderson And Daughter Piper Maru Klotz Make A Gorgeous Duo

Like mother, like daughter.

Gillian Anderson hit the red carpet with her gorgeous look-alike daughter, Piper Maru Klotz, for the Laurence Olivier Awards for theatre at the Royal Opera House over the weekend. The two looked stunning in strapless black gowns as they posed for photos together.

The actress was nominated for Best Actress for her portrayal of the iconic Blanche DuBois in "A Streetcar Named Desire," although she did not take home the award that night.

Last month, Anderson opened up to the Telegraph about where she's at in life right now: “I’m so lucky to have such great work. I’ve got a fantastic life, I have a wonderful relationship with my kids, and there’s nothing lacking, but I’m leaning towards the idea that it’s time for somebody to be brave enough to ask me out.”

Natalie Westling Presents Every Tomboy's Guide To Being A Modern Lady

One badass chick has resurfaced The Ladies' Book Of Etiquette And Manual Of Politeness to show women how to nail the whole ladylike thing.

In a new video for i-D Magazine, 17-year-old model Natalie Westling reads from a 1950s etiquette book that describes itself as a "complete handbook for the use of a lady in polite society." Westling, however, puts her own spin on how to be a modern lady with style, grace and, of course, badassery.

Westling reads chapters from the book of etiquette aloud, which contain "full directions for manners, dress, conversation" as well as "rules for courtship and kitchen" for the true renaissance woman. Demonstrating each old school tip with a modern spin and a heavy dose of cool, Westling gives these outdated tropes a much-needed upgrade.

Here are a few of our favorite suggestions (ladies, take note):

Chapter One: “Dress”

Polish your silver and gold.

You must know how to sew.

Chapter Two: “The Regal Arena Of The Kitchen”

Make sure your man is well-fed.

Chapter 3: “Courtship And Manners”

Be a good listener.

Remember, always cross your legs in public.

Voilà! You're a lady.

Westling wraps up the video reminding every woman that a true lady "always knows her place."

Who run the world? Ladies.

Lucy Lawless 'Never Liked' All The Violence On 'Xena: Warrior Princess'

For six seasons, Lucy Lawless fought evil on the cult TV hit "Xena: Warrior Princess," but the Kiwi actress was never a fan of the violent scenes, she revealed in a HuffPost Live interview on Tuesday.

"[The show] had all that fighting, which I never liked, but had to do it, so my only defense was to get as good as possible as fast as possible, so I could get the misery over and done with," she told host Ricky Camilleri.

She also said the titular role was one of the most physically challenging characters she's ever played.

"We were out in the rain all winter and it was hard work, physically," she added.

Lawless' role as Lucretia in "Spartacus: War of The Damned" proved to be more emotionally grueling due to its prominent nude scenes, with which she said she was not comfortable at the time.

"There was an amount of nudity. There was some pretty heavy duty material, you know," she said.

Tiffany “New York” Pollard’s journey from humble beginnings in Utica, New York, to notoriety on VH1’s “Flavor of Love” resulted in the newfound reality TV star landing her very own show, “I Love New York.”

However, Pollard’s fame came at a cost after a bungled breast augmentation left the 33-year-old experiencing discomfort and unhappiness with what she describes as an uneven, “jacked up” appearance.

“One tit is in Africa," Pollard said, "and the other one is in Europe."

She decided to take action by appearing on the season premiere of E!’s “Botched,” where Drs. Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif attempt to fix the reality star’s nostrils and what they called "a really significant breast deformity."

Prior to the procedure, Pollard recalled the moment she decided she wanted breast implants.

“One day I was watching ‘Geraldo Rivera’ and I saw Dolly Parton walk out on stage,” she said during the episode. “When I saw that white chick come on the screen with her blonde hair, her tiny waist and her big tits, I said, ‘That’s gonna be me one day.”

Check out more of Tiffany Pollard’s appearance on “Botched” in the clip above and below.

Gisele Bundchen Shares Photo From First Runway Show At 14 To Celebrate Her Last

Twenty years ago, Gisele Bundchen walked her first runway show. On Wednesday, she will walk her last.

Bundchen shared a photo of her 14-year-old self on Instagram Wednesday to commemorate her final strut down the catwalk. The photo is from her debut show during New York Fashion Week back in 1996, according to ABC News, and shows a baby-faced beauty dressed in black.

The 34-year-old supermodel confirmed her runway retirement last week, but noted that she will continue to pursue other ventures.

"Automatically my body tells me if what I do is worth it, and it asked to stop. I respect my body, it's a privilege to be able to stop," Bundchen said in an interview with a Brazilian newspaper that was translated by Agence France-Presse. "I don't see how to continue [modeling on the catwalk] ... and stopping will leave room for other projects I have for myself."

She will walk on Wednesday in the Colcci show for São Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil.

We're sure that for Ms. Bundchen, the best is yet to come.

Jon Bon Jovi Is Helping Ensure At-Risk Kids, Seniors Affected By Hurricane Sandy Don't Go Hungry

TOMS RIVER, N.J. (AP) — Rock star and philanthropist Jon Bon Jovi and local charities are opening an anti-hunger center in a section of the New Jersey shore devastated by Superstorm Sandy.

The Jersey-born rocker and his Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation announced plans Tuesday for the B.E.A.T. Center, which stands for Bringing Everyone All Together. The center site is designed as a one-stop facility to help people get food stamps, health care, meals for at-risk children and seniors, and culinary-related job training. It will open later this year in Toms River.

Jon Bon Jovi, center, appears at a news conference where he announced his Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation's plans for the B.E.A.T. Center

The center also will house a second JBJ Soul Kitchen community restaurant, where diners pay a minimum $10 donation or do volunteer work for their meals. That first one opened in 2011 in Red Bank, New Jersey.

Bon Jovi says Ocean County suffered the worst damage from the October 2012 storm, but has not gotten a proportionate share of aid.

"Ocean County was directly impacted by Hurricane Sandy; it was not a wealthy county to begin with," he said. "At one point or another, 45 percent of households that had kids needed emergency food relief services during the course of the last year. I know people who have been hungry. You'd be shocked to know these hardworking, middle-class people from the tri-state area who after the economic downturn couldn't afford to keep a consistent, nutritious meal on the table."

Toms River was one of the hardest-hit communities during Sandy. The nearby Ortley Beach section was devastated and many homes and businesses — not to mention the main road through town — still have not been rebuilt as the third summer after the storm approaches.

Bon Jovi is partnering with the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, The Peoples Pantry and the David Tepper Charitable Foundation to provide $5 million in services to needy families in the B.E.A.T. Center's first year of operation.

The center joins other charitable endeavors undertaken by Bon Jovi, including the construction of 440 units of affordable housing for homeless or low-income families; donations to numerous Sandy relief efforts; and two Soul Kitchen restaurants, including a smaller third one in a firehouse in storm-tossed Union Beach, New Jersey.

"With hunger and homelessness, I realized 10 years ago that this was something we could make a dent in — just a dent — that didn't need a scientist to create the cure," he told the Associated Press. "That we, with a little money and action and then desire, that we could in fact make a dent. We're certainly going to try."

His band, Bon Jovi, has been one of rock and roll's most popular acts for the past 32 years, with hits including "Livin' On A Prayer," ''You Give Love A Bad Name" and "Wanted Dead Or Alive."

Michael Jai White Writes Letter Of Apology To His Ex-Girlfriends: 'I Believed All Women Were Crazy'

0

Following years of trial and error with romantic relationships, it appears actor Michael Jai White has stumbled upon an epiphany when it comes to dating, love and his former girlfriends.

Earlier this week the “For Better Or Worse” star took to his Facebook page to pen an open letter aptly titled, “Apologies To All My Ex’s.” In the letter, White detailed some of his previous dating issues and thoughts on how women were “crazy” with their relationship demands.

“As a man, you have to deal with hand holding, ‘yes dearing,’ and freaking cuddling! I endured this for years until my relationships reached their natural demise due to some natural chemistry flaw between us or the woman’s natural chemical imbalance- Yes I said it,” he wrote.

“I believed all women were crazy and the only choice a man had was to decide exactly how much crazy he’s willing to deal with to sustain a relationship. It’s crazy to think I, as a man, would ever want to spend every waking moment with a woman, to be all-up-on each other constantly, to talk endlessly about ‘every-damned-thing’ and see each other “every-damned-day!”

Now happily married, White credits his undying love for wife, Gillian Waters, who, he says, has helped him gain a better understanding on how to cater to a woman's needs like “a man.”

“I simply didn’t love my ex’s in the capacity their spirits knew organically needed to be loved,” he said. “I believe woman nowadays have learned to settle for what’s familiar to love. In turn, they’ve had to decide how much of a man’s love they can live without to sustain a relationship.”

"I can say that I am now the very best version of myself and that’s due entirely to my relationship."

Laverne Cox, Jordana Brewster And More Go Nude For Allure

Allures annual "Nudes" feature is here and this year's models include "Orange Is the New Black" star Laverne Cox and the "Fast & Furious" franchise's Jordana Brewster.

“I said no initially, thought about it, and said no again," Cox told Allure. “But I'm a black transgender woman. I felt this could be really powerful for the communities that I represent. Black women are not often told that we’re beautiful unless we align with certain standards. Trans women certainly are not told we’re beautiful. Seeing a black transgender woman embracing and loving everything about her body might be inspiring for some folks. There’s a beauty in the things we think are imperfect. It sounds very cliché, but its true."

Katheryn Winnick, who appears in the History Channel's "Vikings," said baring it all in front of the camera made her feel "more free and empowered," while actress Nicole Beharie wanted to do the photo shoot after turning 30 to "celebrate and accept my body in an artistic way."
