Sunday night on HBO was all about expectations.

After some critical backlash and an apology from creator Aaron Sorkin, the question surrounding the third and final season of "The Newsroom" was whether Sorkin and company could correct their course. Fans of "The Comeback" also wondered whether the searing Hollywood satire would still have its signature bite when it returned after a nine-year hiatus.

So how did it go? HuffPost Live's "Spoiler Alert" answered that question during Monday's episode, when host Ricky Camilleri led a discussion about the season premieres of "The Newsroom" and "The Comeback," plus the latest installments of "The Affair" and "Homeland."

Joan Rivers Death Investigation Says Clinic Made Multiple Errors During Medical Procedure

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A New York City clinic where Joan Rivers suffered a fatal complication during a medical procedure made several errors, including failing to keep proper medication records and snapping cellphone photos of her while she was unconscious, state health investigators said Monday.

Rivers, who was 81, died Sept. 4. New York City's medical examiner found she died of brain damage due to lack of oxygen after she stopped breathing during an endoscopy days earlier.

A report released by the state Department of Health on Monday cited Yorkville Endoscopy for numerous deficiencies related to the Rivers case, although negligence is not alleged. The comedian's death was classified as a therapeutic complication.

As a result of the state investigation, the federal Department of Health and Human Services has given Yorkville Endoscopy until Jan. 7 to correct deficiencies to avoid losing Medicare accreditation.

In a statement to NBC News on Monday, Yorkville said it has submitted a plan to state and federal accreditation agencies addressing all issues raised. It said the physicians referenced in the report no longer provide services there.

The state report said the Manhattan clinic "failed to identify deteriorating vital signs and provide timely intervention" in Rivers' case.

Investigators found conflicting information in Rivers' medical records regarding the amount of the sedation drug Propofol she was administered and about the time resuscitation was initiated. They also faulted the clinic for allowing a surgeon who was not a member of the medical staff to perform two nose and throat scoping procedures.

Investigators also noted that a staff member took cellphone photos of Rivers and a surgeon while she was under anesthesia without her consent and in violation of the facility's cellphone policy.

The First Reviews Of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' Have Arrived

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" isn't out in U.S. theaters until Nov. 21, but the film had its world premiere in London on Monday night and first reviews soon followed. The consensus? Mixed, with many critics citing Lionsgate's decision to split Suzanne Collins' source novel into two parts as a demerit. "Like an overgrown and bloated trailer for a film yet to come, Francis Lawrence's 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' spreads perhaps 45 minutes of dramatic material across two far-too-leisurely hours," wrote Todd McCarthy for The Hollywood Reporter. If sick burns aren't your speed, there are other opinions about the film below.

1. "'Harry Potter' started it, and now it’s bedevilling 'The Hunger Games' too. But the trend for dividing in two the last film of a series (see also 'The Twilight Saga') has less to do with story-tellers indulging our appetite for delayed gratification and more to do with executives enriching themselves." -- Brian Viner, The Daily Mail

2. "A film with the full title of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1' may sound too self-consciously like a franchise building block to be best in series so far. And yet it is. [...] Francis Lawrence, his actors and crew have given us a blockbuster that uses all its wit and wile to fly on the wings of what makes us human." -- Sophie Monks Kaufman, Little White Lies

3. "Katniss arms up ... against anyone expecting diminishing returns from a four-part trilogy. With measure and muscle, Lawrences Jennifer and Francis nail the job of selling the long, twisting road towards revolution." -- Kevin Harley, Total Film

4. "Unsubtly resonant, at times quite rousing and somewhat unsatisfying by design, this penultimate series entry is a tale of mass uprising and media manipulation that itself evinces no hint of a rebellious streak or subversive spirit: Suzanne Collins' novels may have warned against the dangers of giving the masses exactly what they want to see, but at this point, the forces behind this hugely commercial property are not about to risk doing anything but." -- Justin Chang, Variety

5. "It may disappoint young fans who relished the sheer fantasy verve that drove the first parts, but as a thoughtful and at times moving preamble to a tough climax, 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' delivers." -- Mark Adams, ScreenDaily

6. "This is basically the third time that we’ve seen the whole 'split the final book into two movies' gimmick, and this is frankly the first time I believe said choice has done the material an artistic disservice. [...] The acting is solid and there are interesting moments and beats throughout, but the film sadly feels like the first part of a two-part television series finale, with all of the proverbial 'good stuff' held in reserve for the theoretical final showdown." -- Scott Mendelson, Forbes

7. "'Mockingjay - Part 1' is still very much a 'Hunger Games' movie, yes, but it calls to mind smart political comedies like 'Wag the Dog' and 'Tanner '88' as well." -- Alonso Duralde, TheWrap

8. "'Mockingjay – Part 1' is all queue, no roller-coaster. The third of four films in the successful and admirable 'Hunger Games' series is any number of good things: intense, stylish, topical, well-acted. But the one thing it could never be called is satisfying." -- Robbie Collin, The Daily Mail

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Claflin, Natalie Dormer and Donald Sutherland.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt To Play NSA Whistleblower Edward Snowden In New Oliver Stone Film

After months of rumors, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been confirmed as the actor who will play Edward Snowden in an upcoming movie directed by Oliver Stone.

Producers of the as-yet unnamed film about the former National Security Agency contractor confirmed the casting decision Monday, according to The Guardian. Gordon-Levitt, 33, has previously starred in big-name films like "Inception," "Lincoln," and "The Dark Knight Rises."

Stone, the Oscar-winning director of “Midnight Express," “Platoon” and "Born on the Fourth of July," wrote the screenplay for the movie and is expected to start filming in January, Reuters reports. The screenplay is said to be based on two books about Snowden: “The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man” by Guardian journalist Luke Harding and “Time of the Octopus,” a novel by Anatoly Kucherena.

Stone’s film isn’t the only Snowden flick that's been making headlines of late. Another fictional adaptation, based on the book “No Place to Hide” by journalist Glenn Greenwald, formerly of The Guardian, is also in the works. That film will be produced by James Bond producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.

Last month, Laura Poitras, the documentary film director who Snowden contacted in 2013, released her film about the whistleblower. The documentary, “Citizenfour,” has been met with critical success.

Snowden was launched into the global spotlight in 2013 when he leaked classified NSA documents to the media, thus blowing the whistle on the U.S. government’s mass surveillance program and data collection efforts.

Snowden spent more than five weeks in Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport last year after fleeing the U.S. He currently lives in an undisclosed location in Russia.

Woody Harrelson Just Turned 'SNL' Into 'The Hunger Games'

May the odds be ever in your favor as you watch Woody Harrelson host this week's "Saturday Night Live." According to the latest NBC promos, the "True Detective" star has turned the variety show set into a veritable "Hunger Games." A solid alliance appears to have formed between Harrelson and Aidy Bryant, so cast members better watch their backs. Taran Killam has already taken the first hit.

The host's other secret weapon may be handing out a very potent from of Vitamin C, which makes one hear flashback music and think pensively about the '90s. Very distracting to the enemy.

"Saturday Night Live," with host Woody Harrelson, airs Nov. 15 at 11:20 p.m. ET on NBC.

Georgia Tech's A Cappella Rendition Of 'Shake It Off' Will Inspire Your Inner Nerd

Georgia Tech students don't care what people say. They're just gonna shake it off.

A group of a cappella performers from the school recently put on an impressive (and lyrically different) version of Taylor Swift's hit "Shake It Off," starring Georgia Tech senior Maggie Bridges, who was also crowned Miss Georgia 2014.

Video of the performance was produced by GT WRECKless, a Georgia Tech organization whose mission is to "show college students how fun safe partying can be and allow them to learn healthier party habits through experience."

The message these Georgia Tech students are sending is simple: They may be stressing over "trying to get those A's," but they're going to do their thing.

"Georgia Tech students are criticized a lot by non-Georgia Tech students and themselves," the video description reads. "We are told that we don't know how to have fun, we study too much, or we're just simply a bunch of nerds. Who cares what people say? As Georgia Tech students, we are going to make a difference in this world. ... Don't change who you are to conform to what other people want from you. Remember who you are because you are awesome. Just shake it off."

Taylor would be proud.

Vine superstar Shawn Mendes released the music video for his single "Something Big" and it's all kinds of crazy -- but in the best way possible.

The video features Mendes and his friends walking through their neighborhood and picking up anyone who wants to join the party... and we mean anyone, including llamas and a marching band. The crew then makes their way to the football field where they (presumably) have the most fun dance party/parade ever.

"Something Big" went viral on Twitter this week and was even trending worldwide:

The 16-year-old released the video on Tuesday, just days after he announced he would be joining Taylor Swift on tour.

Touring with Taylor or not, Shawn Mendes is well on his way to superstardom.

Celebrity Reactions to the Ebola Epidemic: The Good, the Bad and the Very Ugly

$
0
0

As the Ebola epidemic rages on, health officials have gone into the trenches around the globe, putting their lives at risk to save those of others afflicted by the devastating virus.

Yes, but... what do our beloved celebrities think of it all?

As happens with nearly ever big-news crisis, stars have been inserting themselves into the ongoing conversation about the disease -- and nabbing ample news headlines in the process.

Is it ridiculous to focus on celebrities when "real" people are combating the disease on the ground in tangible, meaningful ways? Is it distressing that people pay more attention to the young studs of One Direction than the UN chief talking about efforts to eradicate the virus? Yes and hell yes. But we can't ignore how much sway celebs hold with the masses -- meaning their participation, ill or good, does have an impact on awareness and dialogue.

Celebrities also serve as a high-profile microcosm of base human nature, their responses illuminating an inclination toward responses both commendable (altruism, compassion) and detestable (jingoism, selfishness, hysteria).

Here, were rundown the good, bad and ugliest of A-list reactions to the crisis.

The Good

One Direction, Chris Martin, Bono, and Ellie Goulding

Sure, they're a little self-serving (our talent will save the world!), but star-studded recordings have long been a hallmark of celebrity do-goodery, from "We Are The World" to bring attention to a famine in Africa (and later used to support those affected by the Haitian earthquake) to "Do They Know It's Christmas?," the 1984 all-star recording to combat poverty in Ethiopia. On its 30th birthday, that holiday tune is being reworked with a new cast of A-listers -- including One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Chris Martin, Bono, Sam Smith and Ellie Goulding -- with all proceeds going toward the UN effort to fight the virus in West Africa.

Just because something is cheesy as all get out, doesn't mean it can't be effective.

David Beckham

In West Africa, at least 3,700 children have lost one or both parents to Ebola, and some 9,000 people have been affected. To help spread a message of awareness and education in the West African nation of Sierra Leone, soccer beefcake and H&M underwear model David Beckham -- a UN Goodwill Ambassador--recorded a video PSA to encourage those in the country to "take the right measures" to curb the disease's spread, while drumming up support for UNICEF's efforts in the area.

Said Beckham in the announcement, which aired on national TV and in town halls and community centers across the country:

Today, the courageous people of Sierra Leone are facing an invisible enemy -- a ferocious Ebola disease that's spreading fast across West Africa. The images are heart-wrenching. As a father, I can't imagine what it must feel like, seeing your child suffer and feeling so helpless. But there is something you can do. Unicef is on the ground, working around the clock to protect children and families from this deadly virus. Please give Unicef the help it needs to tackle this crisis. We're in a race against time.

The Bad

Kim Kardashian

Reportedly, Kim Kardashian and her fam wanted to buy hazmat suits to protect themselves against the virus that has inflicted nine and killed one in the nation. Then again, this "news" came courtesy of an anonymous source and was reported exclusively on a rather dubious-sounding site called "Dish Nation." (Dish Nation, if your sole intent was to get me to click your content...   dammit it!)

In other Kim K/Ebola news -- because this is the world in which we live -- one rather clever tweeter went viral for accurately pointing out that "More Americans have been married to Kim Kardashian than have died of Ebola." Brilliant.

Iggy Azalea

Here's something you should never, ever joke about: a virus that's killed thousands of people. Apparently, Aussie rapper Azalea didn't get that memo, as she reportedly told a paparazzo, "I hope you get Ebola. I hope you die."

To repeat: not. funny.

The Ugly

Chris Brown

At this point, Brown's epic douche-baggery should be considered a kind of performance art. Here's how the world's worst person responded to the devastating virus:

2014-11-11-brownebola.JPG

No seriously. He tweeted that.

Donald Trump

The Donald's infamous and rather astounding lack of interest in anything other than himself came to bear when he tweeted of the virus:

2014-11-11-trump1.JPG

And:

2014-11-11-trump3.JPG

Oh, and he also posted videos on Instagram decrying Obama's decision to send U.S. troops abroad to help save lives, and called Obama "psycho" for not halting flights, thereby stoking completely unfounded hysteria. (Donald Trump, if your sole intention was to make people pay attention to you instead of your comb-over... dammit!)

'Fresh Prince' Cast Reunites To Support Alfonso Ribeiro Because Family Is Forever

Alfonso Ribeiro has had a very "Fresh Prince" run on his season of "Dancing With the Stars." First, the actor performed his famous Carlton dance on the reality show, and went so hard that he injured himself while dancing. Now, his fictional family showed up to offer support.

On Monday, Ribeiro was joined on "DWTS" by "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" co-stars Karyn Parsons and Tatyana Ali, who played his on-screen sisters, Hilary and Ashley Banks. Joseph Marcell, aka Geoffrey, the Banks' butler, also showed up to support his Ribeiro.

Ribeiro told Us Weekly that it was "really cool" of his former co-stars to visit him. "Just having [all of] them here was wonderful. They're family to me. They'll always be family," he said.

Don't get too excited and hope this means a "Fresh Prince" reboot is in the works, despite all those Will Smith rumors earlier this year. Ribeiro told E! News recently that reviving the '90s favorite won't happen due to the passing of James Avery last year. But at least we have these mini-reunions, as well as Smith's impromptu "Fresh Prince" performances.

Check out the reunion on "DWTS":

Bruce Springsteen & Dave Grohl's Cover Of 'Fortunate Son' Draws Criticism

Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, Zac Brown and a few more high-profile artists took the stage at the "Concert for Valor" in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday. Springsteen and Grohl joined Brown during his set, and the trio laid down a contentious cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son."

A counterculture anti-war anthem, which includes lyrics like "ain't no military son," didn't resonate with everyone during the Veteran's Day celebration. Stating that the concert wasn't "the place for it," the Weekly Standard wrote: "It was a particularly terrible choice given that 'Fortunate Son' is, moreover, an anti-draft song, and this concert was largely organized to honor those who volunteered to fight in Afghanistan and Iraq." Plenty of viewers also took to Twitter to share their confusion and disapproval.

But as the Washington Post pointed out, Springsteen also performed his classic hit, "Born in the U.S.A." One read through the lyrics and it is clear that this "American anthem" is a writhing critique of the Vietnam War.

The name Carol Ann Susi might not immediately mean a lot to fans of "The Big Bang Theory," but Mrs. Wolowitz sure does. Susi, a veteran character actress, provided the voice of the unseen part of Howard Wolowitz's mom on the hit show. The actress, who had been diagnosed with cancer, died on Tuesday at the age of 62.

Her character had quickly become one of the show's greatest mysteries, causing a lot of excitement when even a tiny glimpse of her was shown. But she was more than just a voice. Warner Bros, CBS and the show's producers released a statement that explains why this loss is way bigger than "The Big Bang Theory":

In addition to her talent, Carol Ann was a constant source of joy and kindness to all. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her family during this time, and we will miss her greatly.

In honor of the late Susi, here are 10 times Mrs. Wolowitz was the best part of "The Big Bang Theory":

Beyoncé has already made it clear that she is a grown woman and she can do whatever she wants. However, the 33-year-old can't take a scissors to her blonde mane without fans shedding a few tears or critics giving her the side-eye for sporting baby bangs à la Bettie Page.

Ever since her Destiny's Child days, Beyoncé has experimented with countless hairstyles. Remember that time she showed up on the Grammys red carpet shining with glittery hair tinsels? Or when she rocked box braids with bold prints during a wedding anniversary trip to Cuba? And we will never forget the jaw-dropping brunette hair color she sported back in 2008. (There's still an ongoing debate among HuffPost Style editors on whether she looks better as a blonde.)

Unlike fellow hair chameleons Rihanna and Katy Perry, the pop diva's incomparable work ethic and booty-shaking records make it difficult to focus on her constantly changing hair. So we've put together the below chart to chronicle Beyoncé's boldest hairstyles over the years.

From her sleek and straight locks to her chin-grazing bob, which 'do is your favorite? Tell us in the comments section!

Muhammad Ali Is Like Any Other Father When It Comes To Protecting His Daughter

Any prospective boyfriends and admirers of Maryum Ali wouldn't stand a chance when meeting her father, boxing legend Muhammad Ali. But the ultra-protective sports great took it a step further to ensure his daughter wasn't getting into trouble as she got older.

In an exclusive clip from "I Am Ali," Maryum talks about how her father gave her the dreaded birds and bees talk when she was on the cusp of adolescence. But it was more scary than awkward.

"It's wild out there," Maryum said her father told her, referring to "the bad world of boys." Maryum or "Maymay" works with at-risk youth and explained that her father wanted her to hear his rendition of sex and dating before she heard in on the street -- something she says every parent ought to do.

Clearly, the boxer, now 72, did something right. "I'm still afraid of boys!" Maryum says.

The Most Absurd Thing About Torture Is That It's A 'Job'

$
0
0
"He has to satisfy his boss. He has a time sheet. Torture is a job like any other job."

After hosting "The Daily Show" for decade and a half, directing a film about torture looks like an extreme move for Jon Stewart. But "Rosewater" is less of an anomaly than it might initially seem. The narrative is very much in stride with combatting the things Stewart deconstructs on Comedy Central. Mazier Bahari's story is just something he was drawn to spending a little more time with.

But it's impossible to ignore the role "The Daily Show" has played in Bahari's life. After appearing on a segment with Jason Jones, Bahari was arrested by the Iranian government and imprisoned for 118 days, 107 of which he spent in solitary confinement. Except, it wasn't really guilt that drove Stewart to adapt Bahari's book, "Then They Came For Me," for the screen. Bahari was already being tracked prior to his "Daily Show" appearance, and the reality is that he was one of thousands in a similar situation.

Stewart told HuffPost Entertainment that he felt more "astonishment" over the situation than anything else. "I definitely felt responsibility in the sense of what can we do to help," he said. "Mazier was not the only one arrested."

rosewater

Yet Stewart wants audiences to leave "Rosewater" with a sense of hope or, as he put it, "a great sense of optimism in the lack of sustainability of these types of regimes."

"It’s Mazier’s story," he said," But it’s also a more universal treatise on the difficulties of these regimes building these giant apparatuses designed almost entirely to suppress their people from expression."

Humor is what allows Bahari to exit his confinement relatively unscathed. His ability to see the absurdity in his tragic situation lends the story that counterintuitive feeling of optimism after 103 minutes of torture.

"I asked myself: How could I stop him from beating me and insulting me?"

Bahari entertained himself with the stories he told his torturer (a man he dubbed Rosewater, played by Kim Bodnia). During each session, Barhari would have to share something that wouldn't incriminate him while also satisfying the need for information. In that regard, Bahari compared himself to a "modern day Scheherazade."

"For me, it was a form of entertainment," Bahari said. "At the same time, I felt that I was mischievously torturing my torturer through those stories."

By tying in sexual elements to his tales, Bahari kept his interrogator satisfied and steered clear of more serious charges. "How obsessed they are with sex is unbelievable," he said. "I don’t know if you can even print it, if I tell you these stories. It's just so absurd."

Bahari says it was a "stroke of genius" (no pun-intended), when he came up with the idea of telling his torturer he was obsessed with erotic massage. He incorporated elements of 20th century Austrian literature, making the narratives of authors like Arthur Schnitzler more pulpy to excite the man who pounded him for questions day after day.

"I asked myself: How could I stop him from beating me and insulting me?," he said. "Then, how could I say something, give him some sort of information that he could take back to his boss and say that he’s happy?"

rosewater

"Whenever you think you have a monopoly on truth, you are funny. You're ridiculous."

Bahari understood the reality of extracting information as tedious and bureaucratic. In all his time in prison, Bahari never thought of himself fighting against the regime. Instead, he saw his situation as an interaction with a person who was just trying to do his job.

"He is a torturer," Bahari said. "He works in an office. They have a torture institution. He gets paid for it. He gets overtime for it. He has to satisfy his boss. He has a time sheet. Torture is a job like any other job. And in order to exploit their vulnerabilities you have to look at it from their point of view as well. What do they want? What do they want to achieve?"

Stewart found interesting ways to highlight that banality with "Rosewater." In one scene, Bahari (played by Gael Garcia Bernal) is forced to call his wife and tell her to stop speaking publicly about his situation. Rosewater berates him physically and emotionally, before pausing to say: "You have to dial '9' to get out."

"It’s sort of that expression of, yeah, he’s torturing him, but you really do have to dial '9' to get out. It’s an office. It’s a job," Stewart said, echoing Bahari's earlier terminology. "I think it’s the juxtaposition of those expectations of what a torture facility looks like and the reality of just how bureaucratic and banal they are and that’s where the humor comes from."

It's that humor that Stewart hopes we will see as not just the singular eccentricity of the Iranian government, but all regimes that seek to suppress thought. Being able to figure out what got Bahari through his 118 days is a beacon of hope for resilience in the face of even the most oppressive institutions.

"Whenever you think you have a monopoly on truth, you are funny," Bahari said, smiling over the question of how he survived the time he spent with Rosewater. "You’re ridiculous."

"Rosewater" is in theaters nationwide Friday, Nov 14.

Everything You Need To Know About Marc Anthony's Butterfly-Filled Wedding

It’s official, Marc Anthony is once again a married man.

The Grammy-winning Puerto Rican singer, 46, tied the knot with 26-year-old Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima in the Dominican Republic on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Associated Press.

The ceremony was a private event between the couple’s friends and families, but Univision’s Despierta América obtained exclusive access to the event. The Spanish-language morning show shared Instagram photos and details of the wedding early Wednesday morning.

Anthony and de Lima were married in the salsa singer’s residence at the Dominican seaside resort Casa de Campo, La Romana. An altar was built for the occasion and 120 seats were placed for attendees. The newlyweds said their vows at a at around 6 p.m.

According to Despierta América’s Orlando Segura, who covered the wedding, guests’ cellphones were taken away upon arrival.

Marc was dressed all in white as he awaited the bride at the altar. De Lima wore a fitted white gown with a V neckline and walked down the aisle with her uncle.

The ceremony itself was very emotional, Despierta América reports. When the Venezuelan beauty joined Anthony at the altar, the singer whispered something in her ear and she began to cry. The wedding’s officiate, judge Ivelise Guerrero, later had to stop for several minutes because the Salsa star could not stop crying.

The model’s son, Carlos, was the ceremony’s ring bearer. And once the couple was presented as husband and wife, dozens of golden butterflies were released in celebration.

Univision radio host Enrique Santos was in charge of leading the reception, which continued the all-white theme of the ceremony. A flower replica of De Lima’s wedding gown was also a center-piece at the event.

As expected, Dominican superstar Juan Luis Guerra took the stage as the bride and groom had their first dance. Later, Colombian singer Carlos Vives performed for guests. Other artists, like Tito “El Bambino," attended.

Guests ate fresh fish and lobster for dinner, and sides of typical Venezuelan, Puerto Rican and Dominican food were also served.

This is the third marriage for Anthony, who was previously with former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres and pop singer Jennifer Lopez. The Salsa singer has six children from his previous relationship, including his twins Max and Emme with Lopez.

Lopez and Anthony filed for divorce in 2011 after seven years together. The Salsero began dating de Lima in early 2012.

In 2013, Anthony’s rep told People magazine that he and de Lima went through an “amicable breakup” in January of that year. The singer then dated Topshop heiress Chloe Green off-and-on for several months before getting back together with the Venezuelan model in March 2014.

The Wu-Tang Clan member teased the record with "Love Don't Live Here No More," which tells the pained tale of the narrator returning home after a nine-year absence to find his girl shacked up with another man. The cut features singer Kandace Springs on the soulful hook and boasts a classic, crackling boom-bap beat courtesy of the Brooklyn band/production team The Revelations.

According to a press release, "36 Seasons" tells the story of "a hip-hop superhero for the 21st century" who returns to Staten Island in search of personal retribution and on a mission to save his community from corrupt authorities and urban decay. The album will also feature guest appearances from hip-hop luminaries Kool G Rap, AZ and Pharoahe Monch, while production duties were handled by The Revelations, as well as The 45 King, Fizzy Womack (M.O.P), Angela Johnson and Malik Abdul-Rahmaan. Bill Clinton Calls George W. Bush Out On Twitter, Bush Responds Perfectly

Forget the 2016 elections. The best presidential debates can be found on social media.

On Wednesday, former president Bill Clinton tweeted this photo of himself reading "41," George W. Bush's new book, with the message: "Received my copy of #41 by #43, George W. Bush. Touching tribute! #HowAreYouSTILLNotOnTwitter #PresidentialTweeters."

While the senior Bush, to whom the book is dedicated, is on Twitter, Bush Jr. is nowhere to be found... on Twitter that is.

But not one to be outdone, "43" responded perfectly to his predecessor, by taking to Instagram, reposting the tweet with the hashtag #HowAreYouSTILLNotOnInstagram.

Well, played.

It's not the first time a former politician has become embroiled in a comical Twitter war. Just before Halloween, Madeleine Albright responded hilariously to funnyman Conan O'Brien's costume idea, in this exchange.

Just a reminder that you should never ever have a war of words with a politician.
