Robin Williams' Cause Of Death Officially Ruled A Suicide

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Robin Williams' autopsy found no alcohol or illegal drugs were in his body when he killed himself at his Northern California home in August, sheriff's officials said Friday.

The results released by the Marin County sheriff's office found that the actor had taken prescription medications, but in "therapeutic concentrations."

The coroner ruled Williams' death a suicide that resulted from asphyxia due to hanging.

Sheriff's officials have said Williams was found in the bedroom of his home in Tiburon on the morning of Aug. 11. His death had been preliminarily ruled a suicide, with sheriff's officials saying he hanged himself with a belt.

Williams' wife, Susan Schneider, has said the actor and comedian was struggling with depression, anxiety and a recent Parkinson's diagnosis when his personal assistant found him dead.

Williams had publicly acknowledged periodic struggles with substance abuse, and he had entered a substance abuse program shortly before his death. According to the coroner's report, his wife told an investigator Williams did not go there because of recent drug or alcohol abuse, but rather to reaffirm the principles of his rehabilitation.

According to his wife, Williams was having trouble sleeping and had shown increased signs of paranoia before he committed suicide, the autopsy report said. Medical records confirmed he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in November 2013 but had symptoms since 2011, including a left arm tremor and the slowing of left hand movements. Treatments with drugs in May 2014 led to some improvement, according to the report, and he remained physically active until his death.

Williams had two types of antidepressants in his system when he died, as well as a Parkinson's medication, caffeine and another ingredient found in tea and cocoa, the autopsy found.

Authorities have said Williams was last seen alive by his wife when she went to bed the night of Aug. 10. She woke up the next morning and left, thinking he was still asleep elsewhere in the house.

Shortly after that, Williams' assistant came to the home and became concerned when he failed to respond to knocks at a door. The assistant found the 63-year-old actor in a bedroom, according to sheriff's officials.

Williams also had superficial cuts on his wrist, and a pocketknife was found nearby.

The results of Williams' autopsy, including the toxicology tests, were originally slated to be released Sept. 20. Marin County officials later announced a Nov. 3 release date, but the report was further delayed. Toxicology reports routinely take up to six weeks to complete.

Jeff Daniels 'Couldn't Care Less' If Mama June Is Cut From 'Dumb & Dumber To'

Allegations that "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" matriarch June "Mama June" Shannon is dating a convicted child molester led TLC to cancel the reality program last month, but it hasn't altered her film debut in the upcoming release "Dumb And Dumber To." Shannon makes a brief appearance onscreen opposite star Jeff Daniels.

"She was in the scene at the premiere I saw, so apparently she's still in it," Daniels told HuffPost Live in a Friday appearance to promote the film. "Hope whatever's going on, she works it out. She [Mama June] was a nice gal for that morning."

Daniels wasn't consulted about the decision to keep her and her daughter's cameo in the film, but the choice doesn't offend him.

"No one called me about making an edit," he recalled. "... [but] I couldn't care less. I shoot the movie. It's part of being an actor. You give them the movie. It goes to the edit room, and you're done. I don't worry about it, other people are paid to worry about those things. I show up, if it's in, it's in. If it's not, it's not."

Khloe Kardashian Posts Cryptic 'Closure' Message On Lamar Odom's Birthday

Khloe Kardashian is seeking closure in her split from Lamar Odom, if her Instagram is any indication.

The reality star posted a cryptic message on Thursday, which also happened to be Odom's 35th birthday.

A photo posted by Khloé (@khloekardashian) on

The image was captioned with a purple heart emoji and received over 380,000 likes at the time of publication.

Kardashian filed for divorce back in December 2013 after months of speculation that the pair had split. Unnamed sources have suggested that Odom has neglected to sign the docs or file divorce papers of his own.

The TV personality has had an on-and-off-again relationship with rapper French Montana, though she recently told E! that they haven't put "a title on anything."

Literally, We Can't Believe A Song This Offensive Exists In 2014

Here is a new official music video from Playz-N-Skillz featuring Redfoo, Lil Jon and Enertia McFly that is basically the plot of a re-occurring nightmare about rape culture. It stars a crew of women, the "#LIC sorority sisters," who are coded as a mix of "stuck up" and "asking for it" (the official uniform for which is apparently a tennis skirt, pearls and a crop top, in case you need an ironic Halloween costume for next year).

"Literally, I can't," they say (literally a lot of times), before being ambushed by a horde of drunk, manic frat boy characters who invade their personal space and physically intimidate them. "Shut the fuck up," the men chant over and over again.

If there is a thesis statement for this video, it's the title: "Literally, I can't." There is an aggressively wrong idea that a woman who says no sex (or, in this case, drinking, or "girl on girl") is in someway in the wrong. This video is that idea of male entitlement on steroids. The frat house setting is an interesting if not wholly condemning choice. It's as if the message is that just by attending such a party a female abandons all her right to consent.

Everything about this should come with required reading. Recommendations include "25 Everyday Examples of Rape Culture," "Why Do We Blame Victims?" and "How to Not Be Terrible" (a piece that is not yet published, because it is being written in real tears that were cried over the song and music video "Literally, I Can't").

Tyler Perry Sues Employee Joshua Sole For Alleged Stalking

Filmmaker Tyler Perry accuses an employee at his Atlanta studio of stalking him and wants a restraining order against the man.

A lawsuit filed Monday by Perry describes a scene in which the alleged stalker, Joshua Sole, barricaded himself in the studio's administrative office, forcing an evacuation on Oct. 30.

Sole, 27, was not authorized to be in the restricted area, but he disabled the alarms and surveillance equipment at the studio, and climbed in through panels in the ceiling, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

An Atlanta police report provided to HuffPost said Sole refused to leave without meeting face-to-face with Perry. The studio's head of security told police that Sole "had been acting weird" earlier in the day.

Perry, who was in Los Angeles, disparaged Sole in a now-deleted Facebook post that he headlined "SCARY SITUATION."

"I don't know what he was thinking," Perry wrote. "But let's be clear, to do something like this someone has to be mentally disturbed."

It took the police about four hours to get Sole out of the office. Police charged him with criminal trespassing after 10 p.m. that night.

"At one point they thought they were going to have to call the SWAT team because they didn't know if he had weapons," Perry wrote. "After he was arrested they searched the small office he had barricaded himself in, and he had left his headshot on the wall with a note to me saying 'I believe in your leadership.'"

The police report doesn't mention a headshot, but says that Sole had blocked the door with several heavy cases of paper.

Filmmaker Tyler Perry has filed a restraining order against employee Joshua Sole, who he accuses of stalking him.

Besides the 500-foot restraining order, Perry's suit against Sole requests $100,000 in damages for harassment and $25,000 to cover his attorney fees. He also wants Sole to seek psychological counseling.

The lawsuit justifies the sum by saying it's because Sole was “stubbornly litigious, or acted in bad faith, or caused the plaintiff unnecessary trouble and expense,” TheGrio.com reports.

Sole was released on a $7,000 signature bond on the same day he was jailed.

Sole's exact job at Tyler Perry Studios has not been released, and it is unknown whether he has been fired. He worked in the production department according to Perry's Facebook post. (A message left by The Huffington Post at the studio was not immediately returned.)

A fellow employee told WXIA TV that Sole thought Perry could help him.

Perry wrote on Facebook that he didn't know Sole.

The Huffington Post was unable to reach Sole for comment.

He's baaaaaaack.

Jay Leno made his return to "The Tonight Show" following his departure earlier this year. The former host has been featured in different sketches since Jimmy Fallon took over, but this was his first guest appearance on set.

Fallon seemed genuinely thrilled to have Leno on the show and started off the interview by earnestly asking, "How am I doing?"

Check out Leno's answer in the video above. Boy, that crisp autumn air really is something though, right?

"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.

Kerry Washington Was In 'Save The Last Dance' & 5 More Reasons To Rewatch It

There comes a time when we all must stop to appreciate the greatness of cinema. Then there's the time when we might as well just rewatch "Save the Last Dance" again. The 2001 movie starred Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas as two star-crossed lovers drawn together by their love of dance but torn apart by racial politics, and it was easily the best hip-hop dance romance of that era (sorry, "Step Up" and "Honey"). Revisiting "Save the Last Dance" on some kind of regular basis should be as required as filing taxes. You don't need a reason to watch it again, but here are six anyway:

1. Kerry Washington has a supporting role

tv show gifs

Long before she was handling it on Thursday nights, Kerry Washington played Derek's (Thomas) sister, Chenille, who befriends Sara (Stiles) at their high school. The best part: Washington got to show off her moves on the dance floor.

2. K-Ci and JoJo sang the (unofficial) theme song

Warning: this music video may bring you to tears. K-Ci and JoJo's "Crazy" was featured on the film's soundtrack and the official music video also starred Stiles and Thomas, along with scenes from the film. Cue middle school heartbreak.

3. The soundtrack was amazing

tv show gifs

Besides K-Ci and JoJo, the soundtrack as a whole was pretty great. (It went 2x multi-platinum and won the American Music Award for Best Soundtrack of 2001.) With both Pink's "You Make Me Sick" and Q-Tip's "Breathe and Stop," this CD definitely never left your stereo. (Alternate: Remember CDs?)

4. Bianca Lawson played an ex-girlfriend with attitude

tv show gifs

You likely recognize Lawson from her recent roles on "Pretty Little Liars," "The Vampire Diaries," "Teen Wolf" and "Witches of East End." In "Save the Last Dance" she played Derek's jealous ex-girlfriend, Nikki.

5. This dance happened

When you saw Stiles do this epic dance performance to Athena Cage's "All or Nothing," you totally lost it, then immediately signed up for hip-hop lessons. Okay, in retrospect her moves are pretty ridiculous, but whatever, it was 2001.

6. Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas won Best Kiss

tv show gifs

The co-stars of the film took home the MTV Movie Awards trophy for Best Kiss. It wasn't one of the wildest Best Kiss acceptance speeches the show has been known for, but it was still sweet.

"Save the Last Dance" is available to watch now on Amazon, YouTube, iTunes and more.

Jared Leto May Play The Joker In 'Suicide Squad'

Why so serious, Jared Leto?

According to The Wrap, Warner Bros. wants the Oscar-winning actor to play The Joker in "Suicide Squad." The film, from "Fury" writer-director David Ayer, is based on the DC Comic of the same name. It follows convicted supervillains who undertake black-ops missions for the U.S. government.

Per TheWrap, Ryan Gosling was initially rumored for the role of The Joker, but a deal was never made due to Gosling's unwillingness to sign a lengthy, multiple-movie contract. Tom Hardy, Will Smith and Margot Robbie are also in talks for roles in "Suicide Squad," with Jessie Eisenberg expected to reprise his "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" role as Lex Luthor. Cara Delevingne is also reportedly circling the role of Harley Quinn, the girlfriend and accomplice of The Joker.

HuffPost Entertainment contacted Leto's reps for comment on the rumor. This post will be updated if and when one is received.

New Alyssa Milano Breastfeeding Photo Shows Actress In Her Multitasking Glory

Baby's gotta eat and mama's gotta get her hair done.

Alyssa Milano returned to work and didn't skip a beat in caring for her baby daughter. The actress Friday posted a photo on Facebook of her breastfeeding Elizabella Dylan while getting styled for a photo shoot.

She even managed a shoutout to the designer she was wearing.

Now that's multitasking.

The 41-year-old actress recently shared another beautiful breastfeeding photo, accompanied by a quote from Milan Kundera: "Ah, the joy of suckling! She lovingly watched the fishlike motions of the toothless mouth and she imagined that with her milk there flowed into her little son her deepest thoughts, concepts, and dreams."

And Milano, who gave birth in September, isn't the only celebrity to get ready for a shoot while nursing. Last year, model Gisele Bundchen shared a photo of herself breastfeeding baby Vivian while stylists worked on her nails, hair and makeup. As former HuffPost senior columnist Lisa Belkin wrote at the time, these photos display "what we as a society should want for every mother -- the ability to feed her child as best she can, do work she loves, and feel supported throughout."

You could travel through time and space and never find a sweeter story.

After receiving a letter from a young, autistic fan, Peter Capaldi, a.k.a. the new "Doctor Who," sent the fan a heartfelt message. From the YouTube description, it appears the 9-year-old boy was about to attend his nanny's funeral when he first saw the video from Capaldi. The actor told him, though sad things can happen when you're traveling through time, "It’s nice to know that there’s somebody like you out there who’s on our side. And you should know that we're on your side, too."

The recent "Doctor Who" season finale has reportedly received a lot of criticism for how it dealt with the subject of death and cremation, but it appears Capaldi couldn't have handled this situation more perfectly.

Matt Damon Jokes About Seeing Ben Affleck Naked Before 'Gone Girl'

While the whole world may have been shocked to see Ben Affleck in the buff in "Gone Girl," there was one person who wasn't too fazed.

Affleck's friend and frequent collaborator Matt Damon was approached by TMZ recently and asked if he saw Affleck's penis in the already-infamous "Gone Girl" shower scene. "Oh, I've seen it many times before [Gone Girl]," Damon told the paparazzi.

Damon has been asked about Affleck's penis before, in an interview with MTV from 2011. At that time Damon said he never saw it, but joked that maybe, just maybe, he had held it.

The two actors were recently see together on the red carpet for "Project Greenlight," apparently cracking jokes. We wonder if they were discussing the "Gone Girl" shower scene.

Matt Damon Confirms 'Bourne' Return For 2016

$

Back in September, Deadline.com reported that Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass would return to the Jason Bourne franchise for a new film, the duo's third Bourne film together and Damon's fourth as the character overall. On Friday, Damon confirmed the news to E! Online.

"Yes, next year," Damon told E! about when the new Bourne film will begin production. "It'll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that's all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes."

That's true. Damon had long said he would only reprise his role in the franchise if Greengrass returned as well.

"I've always been open to it if Paul Greengrass is the director," Damon said to CNBC in May of this year. "We've just never been able to come up with a story."

Damon's last Bourne film, "The Bourne Ultimatum," was released in 2007 and grossed more than $442 million around the globe. That feature ended with Bourne walking away from the espionage game.

"If you really look at the mythology of the character, we would have to figure out some reason to get him going again," Damon said to HuffPost Entertainment in July of 2012. "Paul and I haven't been able to do it. And we really wanted to make another one; we almost were making one a couple of years ago -- and then we just couldn't crack it."

In the interim, the franchise took a detour: 2012's "The Bourne Legacy," which starred Jeremy Renner as an agent named Aaron Cross.

"I love the idea of Greengrass and Damon," Renner told HuffPost Entertainment about Damon's potential return earlier this year. He was excited about the possibilities: "Let [our characters] be adversaries, let them become buddies, whatever the heck it might be -- them coming together would be a pretty tremendous thing."

According to the original Deadline.com report, Renner's Cross likely won't be involved in the Damon film, but a sequel to "The Bourne Legacy" with Justin Lin set as director is still in development. Damon's movie, meanwhile, is set for a July 16, 2016 bow.

Camila Alves' Faux Lob Hairstyle Is This Week's Best Beauty Look

We've lost count of how many Hollywood stars are sporting a lob haircut these days. This longer bob hairstyle looks flattering on all face shapes. But if you're still unsure as to whether it's right for you, just take a cue from Camila Alves.

The 32-year-old nearly made us do a double-take when she showed up at the "Interstellar" New York City premiere wearing a faux lob alongside her actor-husband Matthew McConaughey. While she went right back to her signature loose locks, we think Alves could definitely pull off a shorter 'do.

Check it out for yourself below and see which other celebs made this week's best and worst beauty list.

BEST: Camila Alves

camilla alves

McConaughey's five o'clock shadow is kind of sexy, but it's Alves' glamorous hair and makeup that really has our attention. The hidden hair part gives way to a lovely lob that frames her bronzed complexion.

BEST: Beyoncé

beyonce

Bey went back to this tousled, wavy bob that we love so much. And she knows how to keep her makeup simple, yet sultry with cat eyeliner and nude-pink lip gloss.

BEST: Anne Hathaway

anne hathaway

The Academy Award-winning actress made a strong comeback on this week's beauty list with a retro-inspired lob, subtle smokey eye makeup and cherry red lipstick.

BEST: Miranda Lambert

miranda lambert

Lambert had one of the BEST beauty looks at this year's CMA Awards. We just can't stop staring at her shiny blonde waves, lush eyelashes and creamy pink lips.

WORST: Kacey Musgraves

kacey musgraves

What would Dolly Parton think of this bouffant hairstyle? While Musgraves' makeup is absolutely flawless, this big hairstyle is a total distraction.

WORST: Danielle de Niese

danielle de niese

The lyric soprano's heavy eyeliner and unflattering red-orange lipstick ages her well beyond her 35 years. Less makeup and a more polished hairdo would have turned this look around.

WORST: Brooke Candy

brooke candy

Candy is giving us "Lady Marmalade" vibes with this gelled pixie and costumey makeup. We get that this is her schtick but it's OK to switch it up every once in a while.

WORST: Kylie Minogue

It pains us to see the Australian superstar wearing this dated pink shimmer eyeshadow that's too matchy-matchy with her off-the-shoulder top.

Bradley Cooper didn't need an elaborate disguise to go unnoticed on the streets of New York on Wednesday. In fact, all he needed to do was shave.

The "American Hustle" actor was hardly recognizable without his signature scruff:

Cooper went clean-shaven for his leading role in "The Elephant Man," which opened on Broadway on Thursday. The 39-year-old, who stars as the title character in the play, recently told "The Today Show" that the story is what inspired him to become an actor.

“It was the reason why I wanted to become an actor, because of David Lynch’s movie,” he told "Today" host Matt Lauer. “And then I discovered it was a play, and I did it for my thesis in grad school.”

Notably, Cooper doesn't wear makeup or prosthetics to reflect his character's severe deformities. He described his technique of contorting his face to "Today" hosts:

“For me, it just starts with the breath and then it sort of just happens."

Watch Harry Belafonte's Powerful Speech On Race & Social Injustice

Harry Belafonte was this year's recipient of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award during the sixth annual Governors Awards on Saturday night. The honorary Oscar is Belafonte's first, and the 87-year-old singer, actor and social activist used the award as an opportunity to discuss Hollywood's complicated history with racial injustice:

In 1935, at the age of 8, sitting in a Harlem theater, I watched with awe and wonder incredible feats of the white superhero, Tarzan of the Apes. Tarzan was a sight to see. This porcelain Adonis, this white liberator, who could speak no language, swinging from tree to tree, saving Africa from the tragedy of destruction by a black indigenous population of inept, ignorant, void-of-any-skills [people], governed by ancient superstitions with no heart for Christian charity. Through this film the virus of racial inferiority -- of never wanting to be identified with anything African -- swept into the psyche of its youthful observers. And for the years that followed, Hollywood brought abundant opportunity for black children in their Harlem theaters to cheer Tarzan and boo Africans. [...] But these encounters set other things in motion. It was an early stimulus to the beginning of my rebellion. Rebellion against injustice and human distortion and hate. How fortunate for me that the performing arts became the catalyst that fueled my desire for social change.

Belafonte went on to cite "The Defiant Ones," "Schindler's List," "Brokeback Mountain," "12 Years A Slave" and Sidney Poitier as moving the discussion forward in a positive way throughout the last 60 years. But he closed his speech with a call to arms for all of Hollywood, now and in the future:

I really wish I could be around for the rest of this century, to see what Hollywood does with the rest of the century. Maybe, just maybe, it could be civilization's game changer. After all, as Paul Robeson said, artists are the radical voice of civilization. Each and every one of you in this room, with your gift and power and skills, could perhaps change the way in which our global humanity mistrusts itself. Perhaps we as artists and visionaries for what's better in the human heart and the human soul could influence citizens everywhere in the world to see the better side of who and what we are as a species.
