Big changes for Kat Dennings' forehead.

The "2 Broke Girls" star is now sporting bangs, but not just any bangs -- curly, late '80s/early-'90s bangs. The kind of bangs that make you want to put on a leotard and pop a jazzercise VHS into the VCR.

The 27-year-old shared a photo of her new retro look via Instagram on June 6. "Banged by @mararoszak," she captioned the pic, making sure to give a shout out to the hairstylist responsible for her new 'do.

Sophia Grace Brownlee To Get Rich With Direct-To-Video Series

Eleven-year-old Sophia Grace Brownlee, one half of Ellen Degeneres' favorite song-covering duo, "Sophia Grace and Rosie", is set to make big money for her work on the small screen.

According to TMZ, which obtained a copy of the child star's five-picture deal, Brownlee already made $50,000 for the recently released "Sophia Grace and Rosie's Royal Adventure." She will reportedly earn $75,000 per film should the producers choose to make second and third installments, and $100,000 per film should they make a fourth and fifth.

The pre-teen rose to fame alongside her cousin, Rosie McClelland, in 2011 when a video of the two singing Nicki Minaj's "Superbass" went viral overnight. Ellen Degeneres then featured the pair on her show, and has since had them back on a regular basis as guests.

TMZ did not obtain a copy of McClelland's deal, but the site reports that she is signed for sequels.

According to Deadline.com, the direct-to-video project is part of a deal with Ellen DeGeneres' production company that also includes a TV series script commitment from NBC.

Judge: Casey Kasem's Daughter Can Resume End Of Life Procedures For Radio Personality

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Casey Kasem's daughter has the authority to withhold food and fluids from her ailing father, a judge ruled Wednesday.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Daniel S. Murphy reversed a ruling from Monday that stated that Kasem should receive food, fluids and certain medications until after a court-appointed attorney met with the former radio host and his doctors.

Murphy reviewed additional medical records on Wednesday and concluded that Kasem would endure more pain if he was given food or fluids, attorney Troy Martin said. Martin, who represents Kasem's daughter Kerri, presented the updated information to Murphy during an emergency hearing.

He also presented the judge with documents in which Kasem stated he did not want his life prolonged by food or fluids if he was mentally incapacitated.

"It's just flat out wrong," said Steve Haney, an attorney for Kasem's wife Jean.

Haney said Murphy's ruling wasn't based on sworn declarations from doctors and relied on an outdated document in which Casey Kasem said he didn't want to receive food or fluids if he was incapacitated. As of last week, Kasem still had the ability to communicate nonverbally, Haney said.

Kasem's wife of 34 years pleaded with the judge to restore food and fluids to her husband, who has a form of dementia. Jean Kasem stormed out of the courtroom after Murphy issued his ruling, according to the New York Daily News, which first reported the decision.

Jean Kasem and her stepdaughter Kerri have been fighting in court since May over Casey Kasem's care. Murphy has given Kerri Kasem temporary authority to make medical decisions for her father.

Murphy upheld Kerri Kasem's authority and ruled that Jean Kasem had not acted in her husband's best interests when she removed him from a California medical facility and took him to a friend's home in Washington state last month, Martin said.

Haney said Murphy's comments about Jean Kasem's decisions were wrong and she took her husband to Washington to be evaluated by a specialist. Her decisions "in no way contributed to his situation," Haney said.

Casey Kasem remains in critical condition in a Washington hospital. Martin said the former "America's Top 40" host has not received food or fluids since Friday.

Kerri Kasem and her siblings Julie and Mike have invited Jean Kasem to join them at the hospital for Casey Kasem's final moments.

Kasem gained fame with his radio music countdown shows, "American Top 40" and "Casey's Top 40." He also was the voice of Shaggy in the cartoon "Scooby Doo."

Meet Matthew Paetz. Lea Michele met him on the set for her "On My Way" music video, but you can meet him through the website Cowboys4Angels where he goes by Christian. On the site, he's described as a "certified life coach, dating expert and massage therapist." If you'd like a massage from Lea Michele's boyfriend, it's going to cost you $350 per hour, a whole weekend of dating expertise and life coaching costs $6,000 and there is definitely no sex stuff going on under the table. As an extra benefit for being his girlfriend, Lea Michele ostensibly gets all the "life coaching" she wants for completely free.

This Harry Styles Video Will Make Every One Direction Fan Jealous

A declaration of love from the Harry Styles is basically every One Direction fan's pipe dream -- but for one bride-to-be it became a reality.

During her wedding on June 8, 1D superfan Tash Gershfield was presented with a last minute video surprise from Styles, who pleads for Tash to leave her groom and be with him instead (swoon!).

"You don't have to go through with this," the 1D hottie tells Tash. "It’s not too late, I’m going to be waiting at Orli’s in Borehamwood for the next three hours. If you don’t come I’ll understand but that’s where I’ll be.”

Of course, Tash did not go -- she married her main man instead -- but did post the video to Instagram writing, "A video from the one and only Harry which was played at my wedding!!!!!!!"

As for how Tash got such a special shoutout? According to several reports, it was a wedding present orchestrated by director Ben Winston who, after working extensively with the band, asked Styles to make the video as favor for a friend.

Shailene Woodley Makes Out Everywhere In 'White Bird In A Blizzard' Clip

Well, this a far cry from teen cancer weepyville. In the new clip for "White Bird In A Blizzard" Woodley plays Kat, a teenager who makes out at a rave, in a pool, in the school hallways and horizontally in a bed. The Gregg Araki film is set in the '80s and is based on Laura Kasischke's book by the same name. "White Bird In A Blizzard" originally premiered at this year's Sundance and earned reviews that called it "naughty, campy and wildly uneven." Indiewire reported, "You'll never look at Woodley the same way again."

Eva Green plays Kat's mother, an unhinged woman who disappears mysteriously at the beginning of the movie. Her absence becomes the catalyst for Kat's coming-of-age. Shiloh Fernandez plays her make-out buddy, Gabourey Sidibe co-stars as Woodley's school friend and Christopher Meloni appears as her father. "White Bird In A Blizzard" hits theaters Oct. 24 and is available via on-demand services on Sept. 25.

Channing Tatum And Jonah Hill Are Shocked By Their Bizarre Fan Fiction

Bravo, Internet. You just made "Magic Mike" blush.

On Tuesday, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill stopped by "@midnight" to help the panel decide which "22 Jump Street" cast members were the subjects of bizarre Internet fan fiction. However, nothing could have prepared them for what host Chris Hardwick had in store.

The weird, erotic mix of anecdotes featuring naked shower scenes, tickling conventions and skillfully crafted model trains inspired impromptu air guitar solos, a very uncomfortable Ice Cube and flushed cheeks for all.

"@midnight" airs Monday through Thursday at 12:00 a.m. ET on Comedy Central.

Kevin Roper, Driver In Tracy Morgan Crash, Pleads Not Guilty

0

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — A truck driver pleaded not guilty Wednesday in the fatal New Jersey Turnpike crash that also injured comedian Tracy Morgan as investigators look into what role his long commute to work played in the accident.

Wal-Mart driver Kevin Roper lived in Georgia, but his job was based in Delaware, NTSB spokeswoman Kelly Nantel said. A criminal complaint alleges that the 35-year-old Roper, of Jonesboro, Georgia, hadn't slept for more than 24 hours before the accident when he allegedly swerved to avoid slowed traffic on the turnpike and plowed into Morgan's limo on Saturday morning.

Wal-Mart has not explained what Roper's driving route was. The company has said it believes he was in compliance with federal safety regulations.

Roper's pleaded not guilty to assault and death by auto charges and his bail was kept at $50,000. Roper and his attorney, David Glassman, refused to answer reporters' questions after the hearing about whether Roper was the author of tweets from a Twitter account bearing his name and featuring his picture and calling reports of his not having slept for 24 hours before the accident "complete BS!"

A conviction on a death by auto charge carries a five-to-10-year prison sentence. Each assault by auto charge is punishable by up to 18 months in prison.

The 45-year-old Morgan suffered a broken femur, a broken nose and several broken ribs. His friend and fellow comedian James McNair was killed, and two other passengers were seriously injured. Another passenger was treated and released from the hospital Saturday, and the limo driver and one more passenger weren't injured.

Morgan underwent surgery for his broken leg and remained in critical but stable condition.

Morgan's assistant, Jeffrey Millea, 36, of Shelton, Connecticut, and comedian Ardie Fuqua Jr., 43, of Jersey City, also remain in critical condition, a hospital spokesman said.

State police on Tuesday released audio recordings from three 911 calls made after the accident.

"It's a terrible accident," a woman tells the dispatcher in one of the calls. "The car flipped. It's on its side. It's two vehicles and a Wal-Mart truck."

Citing the criminal investigation, a Wal-Mart spokeswoman wouldn't say where Roper's trip had originated or where he was headed at the time of the crash.

FX Networks issued a statement saying Morgan's new TV series, a half-hour comedy scheduled to start filming in August for a January premiere on the FXX network, would be waiting for him once he's well.

Gone are the days of living life just to get by. We are no longer willing to compromise our well-being, relationships and self-reflection for that next rung in the corporate ladder to success. We now know that thriving is about a lot more than just surviving.

Through her latest best-selling book, Arianna Huffington is encouraging all of us to take a step back and literally asks ourselves what it is that we need to live a fulfilling life. The HuffPost Live team has joined the conversation by asking dozens of their celebrity guests what they do to not just be successful but to thrive.

Getting physically active within nature, getting a solid night’s rest, looking inward and simply taking time for themselves and were among the top answers.

“If I can wake up every morning and look at myself in the mirror and continue to believe that I’m on the right track, I’m good,” said “Reading Rainbow” host and executive producer LeVar Burton.

Anna Kendrick Thinks She's 'Lucky' She's Not 'Crazy Hot'

It's only right that Anna Kendrick covers Elle magazine's first-ever social issue. If you're not one of the 2.51 million people following her on Twitter, you need to get on that before you miss out on more gems like this:

Kendrick offered up more words of hilarious but sensible wisdom in her Elle interview when she talked about relying on her wit rather than her looks alone.

"I’ve never felt like I’ve exactly traded on my looks," the 28-year-old told the magazine. "When I was a teenager, I was an ultra late bloomer, and my mom would say it was a blessing, because it means you never have to wonder if guys are only interested in you because you’ve got boobs. I would have been thrilled if guys were interested in me because of my boobs!"

"Similarly, I think I’m lucky that I’ve never had a crisis about whether the only reason I’m successful is because I’m crazy hot. It’s not something that crosses my mind,” Kendrick said.

Kendrick famously downplayed her looks in her 2014 Super Bowl commercial for Newcastle Ale. In the commercial, Kendrick jokes, "I was surprised that I even got offered the part, you know, cause I don't think of myself as like, beer-commercial-babe hot. You know? I mean, I'm hot, but like, approachable hot. Like, the-hottest-girl-in-your-improv-class hot. Like, hot to the guys who feel bad calling a girl hot."

Angelina Jolie: 'Maleficent' Scene Is A 'Metaphor For Rape'

0

Angelina Jolie has confirmed that a controversial scene in her recent movie "Maleficent" serves as an analogy for rape.

During an interview with BBC Radio's Women's Hour on June 10, Jolie answered a question about a climactic scene in the film that has been interpreted by some as a metaphor for sexual assault. In the scene, title character Maleficent is drugged by a man she's in love with, who then removes her wings and robs her of the ability to fly.

"We were very conscious, the writer and I, that [the scene in question] was a metaphor for rape," Jolie said. "The core of ["Maleficent"] is abuse, and how the abused have a choice of abusing others or overcoming and remaining loving, open people."

In the film, a retelling of "Sleeping Beauty," Maleficent takes revenge against her former lover's daughter, Aurora, by cursing her as an infant. Jolie told BBC Radio 4 that the original betrayal and assault were what catalyzed Maleficent's vengeful behavior, marking her change from a benevolent fairy into a villainous character: "The question was asked, 'What could make a woman become so dark? To lose all sense of her maternity, her womanhood, and her softness?'"

The film's writer, Linda Woolverton, explained to The Hollywood Reporter that the scene is critical in making Maleficent's actions understandable to the audience.

"The biggest challenge [making the film] was how to make a villain into a protagonist," Woolverton told Aaron Couch on June 2. "How on earth was I going to justify that this woman would curse a baby?"

Bill Murray Crashes Engagement Photo In Most Bill Murray Way Possible

As far as good omens go, this one's got to be pretty high up there.

Ashley Donald and Erik Rogers were taking their engagement photos around downtown Charleston, S.C. in April when they got a surprise drop-in from the man, the myth, the legend himself: Bill Murray. Clearly, their marriage is destined for greatness.

Photographer Raheel Gauba of Fia Forever Photography -- who captured the awesome picture and posted it to Facebook on Tuesday -- explained to HuffPost Weddings how it all went down.

We were walking around downtown Charleston, taking in the romance of the city and enjoying the scenery. I found this staircase and asked the couple to go get comfortable. Now when I do these shoots, sometimes I get tourists whistling or making funny faces or simply congratulating the couple. When I set up Ashley and Erik, I saw this look of surprise on their faces as they looked over my shoulder. I asked them to look at the camera, but they just looked stunned and with his eyes, Erik motioned that I better look behind me. As I turned around to potentially ask the person distracting them to give us a moment, I see Bill Murray with his shirt up, belly out and patting it -- his attempt to make the couple laugh. I joined the couple in the shock and surprise of the moment. At that point, I invited him to join the couple for a quick shot and he did. So genuine and nice of him to make the couple's day!

Just last month, Murray crashed a bachelor party in Charleston and imparted some words of relationship wisdom upon the young gentlemen.

"If you have someone that you think is The One, don't just sort of think in your ordinary mind, 'Okay, let's pick a date. Let's plan this and make a party and get married,'" he said. "Take that person and travel around the world. Buy a plane ticket for the two of you to travel all around the world, and go to places that are hard to go to and hard to get out of. And if when you come back to JFK, when you land in JFK, and you're still in love with that person, get married at the airport."

Note to self: Book a trip to Charleston ASAP.

Dave Coulier's Upcoming Wedding Is Set To Be A 'Full House' Reunion

Here's some big "Full House" news: Dave Coulier is getting married in July and his wedding is gearing up to be a "Full House" reunion! (Contain your excitement, please).

US Weekly reported that Coulier has been secretly engaged to long-time girlfriend Melissa Bring for months and their wedding is set for July 2 in Montana.

"Melissa has been my best friend since I met her nine years ago," Coulier told US Weekly. "I feel like the luckiest man on the planet. I get to marry my best friend, and she doesn't mind that I have a really bad gas problem."

According to E! News, who also confirmed the engagement, Coulier gave Bring an engagement ring in late December, but didn't actually pop the question until New Year's Day.

As for the wedding, E! reports that John Stamos, Bob Saget, Lori Laughlin, Candance Cameron-Bure and other "Full House" alum will be in attendance for the week-long celebration which will include a pig roast, river day, rodeo night, fishing, hiking in Yellowstone and a barbecue.

Sadly, it looks like a day spent binge-watching "Full House" on Netflix will not be on the itinerary. As Coulier recently told HuffPost Live, "Do you know how drunk I'd have to get in order to watch a full episode of 'Full House' at this point?"

Fingers crossed it's wedding-level drunk.

Oblivious Reporter Didn't Know He Interviewed Bob Odenkirk From 'Fargo'

Awkward? You betcha!

With the FX series "Fargo" filming in Calgary, Global News sent reporter Gil Tucker on the scene to get the scoop. Little did Tucker know that he'd actually get the chance to interview one of the biggest stars from the show. In fact, he may still have no idea.

During his story, Tucker interviewed a pedestrian who turned out to be Bob Odenkirk, who, besides starring in "Fargo," will reprise his "Breaking Bad" role of Saul Goodman in the upcoming spinoff "Better Call Saul." The problem is Tucker had no clue who he was.

You can't be too hard on Tucker. Odenkirk is definitely not a household name in Canada, and he would've probably fooled some reporters in the states with that hat and glasses.

Nevertheless, you're darn tootin' it's pretty hilarious.

"Fargo" airs Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET on FX.

RIP Kylie Jenner's electric blue hair. The youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner cabal, has traded in her ombre look for a one-color head of hair. Jenner posted the photo below on Instagram and wrote "back to black."

She posted another photo with her sister Kendall, showing that she is done expressing her punk rock teen angst side (at least on her head). Goodbye cool Kylie hair.

Dave Chappelle Always Knew Kanye West Would Be A Star

0

Dave Chappelle appeared on "The Tonight Show" on Friday, June 13 and told an incredible story about meeting Kanye West for the first time. West appeared on "Chappelle's Show" in late 2003, way before he was Yeezus, and even then Chappelle knew he would be huge. "You could tell he was going to be a star," Chappelle told Jimmy Fallon. "It was like Muhammad Ali in Olympic Village. He just knew he was going to get the gold."

Chappelle said that he, West, Talib Kweli and Common were hanging out listening to Jay Z's "The Black Album" when it first debuted. "Jay Z says on the record, 'Kanyeezy, you's a genius. You did it again,' and Kanye stood up -- first time he spoke all day -- and said, 'Stop the record and rewind THAT.'" Watch the interview below for more on the perfect West-Chappelle meet-cute.

This Week's Worst Dressed List Made Us Very Sad

0
0
This week, many stars struggle with ill-fitting clothes on the worst-dressed list.

Sarah Jessica Parker's petite figure was literally drowning in a massive gown, Zosia Mamet should have taken a trip to the tailor and Angelina Jolie's pants could have doubled as a parachute.

Check out our least favorite looks of the week and let us know if you agree.

Mindy Kaling

mindy

Kaling's dress looks like an optical illusion gone wrong. The dizzying pattern and her heavy eye makeup make this ensemble a major flop.

Sarah Jessica Parker

sjp

This nightgown, erm, dress, really needs to be shortened, taken in and scaled back.

Cate Blanchett

cate

There is such a thing as too many ruffles and this dress is the perfect example. We were willing to look past the poor fit and dowdy silhouette, but excessive ruffles is where we draw the line.

Angelina Jolie

angie

Wide-leg pants are one of the biggest trends right now, but proportion is key so you don't end up swimming in them, like Jolie is here.

Jennifer Lopez

jlo

Hey J.Lo, 1999 called and they want their outfit back.

Florence Welch

florence

We love throwback-inspired looks, but this is taking things a little too far back. With her John Lennon-esque glasses, the '70s print dress and tassel purse, there is no modern touch to help and bring this outfit into the 21st century.

Jaime King

king

It looks like she threw on a bunch of tangled necklaces and a pound of black eyeshadow before hitting the red carpet.

Sophia Bush

sophia

You're not Rihanna so...

Zosia Mamet

zosia

Mamet is a stunning actress, but this frock isn't doing her any favors. The overly sweet color paired with those stark black pumps is a little jarring, not to mention the fact that the fit of her dress looks a little off.
