That Terrible Hollywood Prankster Has Been Sentenced

$

Vitalii Sediuk, fired journalist and person who is generally the worst, has been fined $200 and sentenced to 20 days of community labor after allegedly attacking Brad Pitt at the "Maleficent" premiere.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sediuk also faces 36 months probation and must stay "500 yards away from all award shows, entertainment events and red carpets."

How this terrifying individual even got into the "Maleficent" premiere is another question entirely, since he was fired from his job at a Ukranian TV station after he crawled under America Ferrara's dress at Cannes (and would presumably no longer have press credentials).

Sediuk's lawyer Anthony Willoughby told THR that client was actually trying to hug Pitt around the waist, not trying to hit him.

"He told me he wasn't planning on pulling a prank [at the premiere], but then he 'saw Brad Pitt and decided to make Angelina Jolie jealous,'" Willoughby said, not helping the situation much.

As Gawker has noted, this is the same person who also gave "crotch hugs" to Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper, attempted to kiss Will Smith, ran on stage with J.Lo and Adele at the Grammys, and -- perhaps worst of all -- copied Björk's swan dress.

Sorry, Adam McKay Doesn't Want To Direct 'Ant-Man' Either

Just one day after being put on the short list for Edgar Wright replacements, "Anchorman" director Adam McKay has pulled out of "Ant-Man." According to The Hollywood Reporter, the decision was his alone.

McKay was considered after Marvel and Wright "parted ways on Ant-Man due to differences in their visions of the film" (according to Marvel). As Variety noted, McKay may have been considered on account of his history with Paul Rudd, who will play the titular Ant-Man.

According to THR's original report, other names on the short list include Rawson Marshall Thurber ("We're the Millers") and Ruben Fleischer ("Zombieland").

If it can find itself a director, the film will premiere on July 17, 2015. Otherwise, Paul Rudd is off getting strangely buff for no reason.

Kaley Cuoco Gets A Pixie Cut

First go short, then go even shorter. Such is the case with Hollywood starlets who chop their long locks into bobs and then go for a pixie soon after.

Kaley Cuoco is the latest celeb to get a pixie 'do just weeks after getting a long, choppy bob. The "Big Bang Theory" actress debuted her new haircut, which is a longer, tapered version of the style made famous by the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Mia Farrow and Twiggy, in an Instagram photo Saturday, May 31.

"Thank you @clsymonds for bringing out my inner Peter Pan :) #byronbeverlyhills #justcutitoff," she wrote, giving a shout-out to hairstylist Christine Symonds.

Symonds also shared a photo of Cuoco's fresh look, writing: "This little lamb went shorter. love playing at the hair salon with @normancook. #shortandsassy #summercut #beauty #hot #babe #byronwilliamssalon."

After getting the chop, the 28-year-old headed out with husband Ryan Sweeting for the Pharrell Williams and Bruno Mars concert at the Hollywood Bowl.

Are Sandra Bullock And Chris Evans Dating?

Sandra Bullock might have a new man in her life.

E! News reports Bullock and "Captain America" hunk Chris Evans might not be full-on dating "per se," but the two are allegedly in the "early stages of getting to know each other."

"They are not in a relationship, but they are definitely hanging out and are in the early getting-to-know-each-other phase," a source told E!. "They haven't put a title on it, but they really like each other."

Romance rumors sparked after the actress, 49, and Evans, 32, were spotted out together. Back in March, they dined at Craig's in West Hollywood along with a large group. Earlier this month, they they were photographed after a dinner at Cecconi's with Chelsea Handler.

Of course, eating a meal together does not a romance make. These two could easily just be friends who happen to enjoy going out to restaurants.

However, Evans has admitted Bullock was his celebrity crush as a child.

"I used to be in love with Sandra Bullock when I was growing up," he told Playboy in 2012. "Sandy B. was my girl. I remember seeing 'Speed' when I was in seventh grade and just thinking, That’s her. I can’t say I know her, but from what I’ve heard, she’s fantastic."

Evans was previously dating Minka Kelly. The two split for the second time last October.

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Shirley MacLaine wants the New Mexico School for the Arts' first graduating class to remember that there is nothing more important than imagination.

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports (http://bit.ly/1hpeohj) the Oscar-winning actress and part-time Santa Fe resident gave the commencement speech Saturday to 48 students at the Greer Garson Theatre. Greeted with a standing ovation, MacLaine said the event was not about her.

She told students to use their imagination because that is what would create their sense of who they are.

MacLaine, known for roles in films such as "The Apartment" and "Terms of Endearment," spoke to the same group of students four years ago when the school first opened.

The actress has most recently been seen on television screens in "Glee" and "Downton Abbey."

An Ode To The Latest Character To Be Killed Off 'Game Of Thrones' (SPOILERS AHEAD)

Warning: Spoilers Ahead. Don't read if you haven't seen Season 4, Episode 8 "The Mountain and The Viper."

In the "Game of Thrones," you either win or you die. But sometimes, you win and you die.

Last night's episode of the HBO show saw one of the most gruesome fights in the history of the Seven Kingdoms (and TV in general). Oberyn Martell, the smooth-talking Dornish Prince -- whose appetite in the bedroom was only matched by his thirst for revenge -- finally got his wish when the much-hyped trial by combat ended with Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane's murderous confession. Unfortunately, the duel also ended with Oberyn meeting his own grisly end.

The history of Westeros has proven that revenge-seeking good guys rarely have a happy ending, and while Oberyn's fate was shocking (for anyone who hasn't read the books) it's fitting of George R. R. Martin's main plot device -- to kill off beloved characters. In honor of Dorne's snarkiest -- and sexiest -- export, we've created a supercut of some of Pedro Pascal's best scenes, including that now-infamous bloody battle.

Louis CK Just Bought This Great Old Shelter Island, NY Cottage -- But There's A Rumor About It That's Untrue

It looks like the rumors are true: Louis CK just bought the 113-year-old Primrose Cottage on Shelter Island, New York for $2.44 million. (The New York Post originally reported the rumor, with Move.com confirming the sale.) Though it's a grand old place -- the Tudor-style home has six bedrooms, four bathrooms and its own pier -- it's a decidedly understated home as far as celebrity estates go. The property sits on a quiet peninsula and boasts original details that date back to 1901.

Although many outlets reported that Babe Ruth once owned Primrose Cottage, that particular rumor isn't true. Babe Ruth once visited Primrose Cottage as a guest of Queens congressman James Roe, then spent the night at nearby home (which also sat on Westmoreland Farm, the parcel of land on which Primrose Cottage is located).

Take a look at the property below and tell us what you think.

Charlie Hunnam Says It's 'Heartbreaking' Not To Be Starring In 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'

Poor Charlie Hunnam, having to watch quietly as Jamie Dornan reaps the benefits of portraying Christian Grey on the big screen. The actor, who dropped out of "Fifty Shades of Grey" last October, says the decision to leave the film adaptation of E.L. James' best-seller was "heartbreaking."

“I felt like I had an interesting take on that character and felt like I could have done a good job of playing Christian Grey, otherwise I wouldn't have taken it on in the first place,” Hunnam told Life & Style this past weekend. "When you put the time into something like that and a character comes alive in your mind, it’s heartbreaking not to be able to play him. ... It was definitely kind of heartbreaking having to say goodbye to that character and not bring it to life.”

Luckily Hunnam doesn't have to worry about Dornan lacking the confidence to pull off the NSFW role. “I certainly don’t fear it,” Dornan told Entertainment Weekly in November, weeks after he was cast in the movie. “I already got a glimpse into working with [director] Sam [Taylor-Johnson] at the test, and I’d met [co-star] Dakota [Johnson] by then. So I had a glimpse into how I felt it would be if I got the part. None of it scared me.”

Hunnam says he'll be among the first to see Dornan's fearless take on Christian Grey when "Fifty Shades" opens next February.

“If they invite me to the premiere, I will go and see it there,” Hunnam said. “If not, I’ll go and buy some tickets on opening night.”

The final season of "True Blood" is upon us and if this new trailer is anything to go by, the last few episodes are going to be bloody good!

HBO just released a new teaser illustrating what's in store for Sookie and the gang: mainly a vampire war. The minute-long clip gives us glimpses of a few of our favorite Bon Temps residents: from Lafayette looking for love to Sam making a stand and of course Sookie's new paranormal love triangle, the show's swan song season looks to be filled with drama. (And hopefully a healthy dose of Eric Northman who was noticeably missing from the video roundup.)

Vanessa Hudgens Dyes Hair Blue, Sort Of Looks Like A Mermaid

We've already seen what Vanessa Hudgens would look like as a mermaid, courtesy of the folks at The Mermaid Project who helped her out with the tail, but the actress' new blue 'do looks positively aquatic in its own right.

On May 31, the 24-year-old posted a photo of herself with turquoise hair and quoted a line from Janet Fitch's novel "White Oleander," writing, "She would be half a planet away, floating in a turquoise sea, dancing by moonlight to flamenco guitar."

If we'd have to guess, with the crown of flowers on her head, we'd say someone was doing some very early planning for Coachella 2015.

Lauren Scruggs, Model Who Survived Plane Propeller Accident, Is Engaged!

Lauren Scruggs -- the model who lost her left hand and suffered severe facial injuries after walking into a plane propeller -- thought she would never find love again, but three years after the accident, she's proven herself wrong.

On May 30, Scruggs' boyfriend and E! News correspondent Jason Kennedy flew to the model's home in Dallas and popped the question by spelling out "Will you marry me" in candles on the lawn beneath her balcony. He then posted the pic on Instagram, after Scruggs said "yes."

It was in 2011 that the 26-year-old almost lost her life, after disembarking from a plane and accidentally walking into the propeller. She penned a book about the tragic accident called "Still LoLo: A Spinning Propeller, a Horrific Accident, and a Family's Journey of Hope" in which she wrote, "I was sure no guy would ever think I was attractive again, much less would want to marry me.''

She was wrong. Scruggs and Kennedy began dating after the E! host saw Scruggs' interview on Dateline. They confirmed their relationship in July 2013. Nearly one year later, they're taking the next step and Scruggs couldn't be happier.

"Possibly the best night of my life. I love you beyond," Scruggs wrote on Instagram, while showing off her new engagement ring.

It Might Be Time To Say Goodbye To This 'Walking Dead' Character

WARNING: Possible Season 5 Spoilers Ahead.

Much like a certain HBO fantasy series, "The Walking Dead" has proven it has no problems killing off major characters. But the show might be taking its homicidal tendencies to the next level if this new death rumor proves to be true.

According to The Spoiling Dead Fans -- a website dedicated to all things undead on AMC's hit show -- fans of the zombie series might need to prepare themselves to say goodbye to one of their most beloved characters when the show returns for its fifth season this fall. The group, whose Facebook page actively charts "Walking Dead" filming locations and news stories, shared this spoiler-ific post last week:

Alanna Masterson, who plays Tara on the show, reportedly sent that tweet out before Steven Yeun left set around 2 p.m. the same day. The site shared another Facebook post stating, "It's said that Steven was hugging production members and shaking everyone's hand while leaving."

When we last saw Glenn, he had been reunited with his wife and was being held hostage in a cattle car with the rest of the group. While the latest filming news is only just a rumor at this point, fans of the comic book series know it's entirely possible for Yeun's character to meet an untimely end. But since Robert Kirkman and his team have had no qualms about veering away from their source material so far, we're still holding out hope that Glenn and Maggie get their post-apocalyptic happily ever after.

11 Things You (Probably) Didn't Know About 'A Hard Day's Night'

The Beatles' "A Hard Day's Night" arrived in U.K. theaters just a few months after the group's "Ed Sullivan Show" appearance and subsequent U.S. explosion. The film, which features endearingly absurd versions of each band member, has since been a major influence on music videos. Now, 50 years later, the Criterion Collection has produced a restored version of the film, set for release over Fourth of July weekend. In celebration of the anniversary and newly clarified British antics, we bring you 11 things that you almost definitely did not know about "A Hard Day's Night."

  • The crazed fans chasing the band in the opening scene are real fans ...

  • ... And George's stumble in that sequence was unplanned -- he actually ripped his suit in the process -- but it was later decided to keep his fall in the film.

  • beatles1

  • Remember the "You Can't Do That" number at the Scala Theater? If you look closely, you'll spot a 13-year-old Phil Collins, filling in as an extra.

  • Just to emphasize what a global sensation those bowl-cut-ed men were: The film was titled "All For One" ("Tutti Per Uno") in Italy, "Yeah Yeah Yeah" in Germany and "Four Boys In The Wind" ("Quatre Garçons Dans Le Vent") in France.

  • Aside from appearing on Ringo's drum kit, the word "Beatles" is never once mentioned in the film.

  • Much of the dialogue was improvised or directly fed to the band members. Well aware that John, Paul, Ringo and George did not have time to memorize a script or any sort of long speech, director Richard Lester would read them lines to recite back to him.

  • Ringo was later complimented on his melancholy solo scene, which was spent taking photos by the river. He later admitted that his "acting" was a result of a massive hangover.

  • The wily "grandfather" character (Wilfrid Brambell) was only 50 at the time. The running joke of him being called a "clean old man" is a reference to a previous role in "Steptoe," in which he is referred to as a "dirty old man."

  • beatles

  • The spontaneity of the film was not manufactured by Lester or the band. He noted that almost no structure was planned, except, of course, punctuating the action with the songs. As for the bit of plot that was pre-scripted, writer Alun Owen mapped out the structure by following the band on tour in France.

  • The name of the film (and its title track) is inspired by Ringo misusing the English language. Lester thought of it when "Ringo called an all-night recording session 'a hard day’s night.'" ...

  • ... And since they had yet to record the title track, John and Paul wrote "A Hard Day's Night" in a single night, inspired by that charming Ringo-ism.

Shailene Woodley On Why Comparing Her To J-Law Is Bad For All Women

Shailene Woodley certainly understands the negative consequences of comparing women to other women -- and she does not like it.

In an interview in the June 2nd issue of New York Magazine, Woodley and fellow actress Brie Larson discussed how measuring women against one another perpetuates self-confidence issues. As the star of the action trilogy "Divergent," Woodley is constantly compared to Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the protagonist in the similar films "The Hunger Games."

She told New York Magazine's Lynn Hirschberg:
As women, we are constantly told that we need to compare ourselves to a girl in school, to our co-workers, to the images in a magazine. How is the world going to advance if we’re always comparing ourselves to others? I admire Jennifer Lawrence, but she’s everyone’s favorite person to compare me to. Is it because we both have short hair and a vagina? I see us as separate individuals. And that’s important. As women, our insecurities are based on all these comparisons. And that creates distress.

Woodley's comments on comparison are particularly weighty given their shaky reception in past months. She told Hirschberg that during her March appearance on "The Tonight Show," host Jimmy Fallon asked Woodley how she felt about being compared to Jennifer Lawrence. The actress paused before saying, "Well, comparison always leads to despair." The audience booed, and the segment of the interview was cut when the episode aired.

Woodley told Hirschberg that the producers' choice to cut the segment upset her, but not only because of the booing. “It bothered me, because it’s human nature to feel bad if you are booed by an entire audience,” she said. “But in these few moments that we have here on Earth, are we going to torture ourselves? Or are we going to allow our lights to be dimmed? How do we expect men to respect women or women to rise to more power when we don’t respect our queendom in the same way that men respect their kingdom?”

She may have misinterpreted feminism, but Ms. Woodley hits the nail on the head when it comes to how detrimental women comparing themselves to other women really is.

Kanye West Gave Kim Kardashian A Nude Portrait Of Herself As A Wedding Gift (REPORT)

Remember that large Hermès Birkin bag that Kanye West gave Kim Kardashian for Christmas last year? The one that was hand-painted with naked ladies on it? It's hard to forget a bag like that (though Kardashian has only taken it with her on one public outing). Well, West may have topped himself when it comes to gifts of questionable taste.

The Mirror reports that the 36-year-old rapper commissioned street artist Bambi (who has been called "the female Bansky") to paint a topless portrait of his new wife wearing just g-string and Louboutin heels. It's titled "Perfect Bitch."

Bambi's agent and manager Leonard Villa told The Mirror that West requested "something regal but typically Kim," and intends to hang the painting in the couple's bedroom.

It's somewhat fitting since West reportedly called Kardashian the "ideal art" and the "ideal celebrity" during his 20-minute wedding speech on May 24.

And if West really did give this portrait to his new bride, we'd like to point out it still wouldn't be the most over-the-top rumor we've heard about what went down at their wedding. Request for comment made to Kardashian's rep has yet to be returned at this time, but we leave you with another reminder of West's Christmas gift, and maybe the idea he would give her such a portrait is suddenly not so far-fetched.

Head over to The Mirror to check out Kim's nude portrait.
