0
0

Who doesn't love a good celebrity marriage proposal? And the exciting news is made even better by a beautiful, embarrassingly expensive rock.

J.Lo's 8.5-karat ring cost singer Marc Anthony a whopping one million dollars -- and that only got the couple at the number nine spot.

Check out the celebrities with the most expensive engagement rings in the video above.

Anthony Hamilton: Hopefully Bobbi Kristina Can Make Wiser Decisions

0
0

Known for belting out soulful lyrics set against a nostalgic sound, Anthony Hamilton is working to inspire today's youth through his affiliation with the United Negro College Fund. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter was one of many artists to perform during the 33rd annual "An Evening with the Stars" event, which honors students and raises money for education advocacy.

During a recent interview with The Huffington Post, Hamilton opened up on his contributions to the prestigious philanthropic organization, as well as revealing his involvement with the motion picture soundtrack for "Sparkle."

How did you get involved with UNCF's "An Evening with the Stars"?

It came about through a series of conversations, managers and people getting to know what's important to clients and day-to-day business. And I was asked to be a part of it and I said yes, because it's important. Not only am I a father, but it's so important for kids to be educated. I have a passion for not only my own kids but just kids in general. And for our people, we don't have a lot of the advantages, or we don't know about them. If I can bring awareness to it and encourage people to invest in it, then that's what I want to do.

Are you planning on being affiliated with UNCF on an ongoing basis?

I can see myself being involved with it. It feels good to know that you're invested somebody else's future, our future, and that they'll have access to help through the UNCF.

Out of your entire body of work, what inspired you to perform "Find Again"?

It's a song that encourages people that, no matter what we're going through right now, we'll be all right. And maybe pass our hugs to the thugs to heal their souls. Sometimes you have to reach out to people not only financially, but you have to encourage the spirit to even want to get up and seek those avenues or those moments or those chances to attain wealth. If the sprit isn’t in the right place, then you don't really care about school or anything. First you encourage the man and the sprit, and then you encourage him to walk that walk and get what he needs, whether it's education or a haircut.

Speaking of inspiring people through your music, do you have a follow-up single to your latest album, "Back to Love"?

We're in between choosing the next single. Some people say "Pray For Me," some people say "I'll Wait to Fall in Love." I'm a big fan of "Sucka For You" as well. So it's just a matter of seeing what the people want. But I think in a minute we'll have the next single.

How has the album been received since its December release?

Ah man, people love it. They're like, "This is your best album yet." And I say, "Well, show me with the sales." [Laughs] But it's great to hear that people really enjoy it.

Would you consider it your best album?

I think it's a great body of work. But I don't know, that's a hard one. I'm still in love with "Coming From Where I'm From" and "Ain't Nobody Worryin'." I love those albums.

In the past you have toured with the Budweiser Superfest. Can fans expect to see you on any summer tours?

Anything that's packaged up nice like that, I don't want [to do] anything less than that. So anything that's remotely that special, I'm willing to bring to the people.

Are you working on any other upcoming projects or collaborations?

I wrote a song for Big K.R.I.T. and Rick Ross. My wife and I co-wrote a song together for "Sparkle." I don’t know if it'll make the soundtrack or not, but it's a great song.

Are you and your wife performing on the "Sparkle" track or is it for someone else? And what's the title?

Actually she’s singing it. I forgot the title. There's so many songs in my head right now.

What are your thoughts on Whitney Houston's passing?

I was with Whitney at the Kelly Price party, that was her last [public] sighting before going back to the hotel. It was just a terrible feeling to see this person and not knowing she was in that much pain. You always think, "I wish, if I had known, I would've said something to her to help her out."

What was your last conversation with her like?

I didn't talk to her that night. The last time that I talked to Whitney, she was like, "Hey baby, keep it up! Love what you're doing!"

What are your thoughts on all of the rumors and speculation surrounding her death?

People are going to bash you while you're alive and they're going to bash you when you're gone. I think she did a lot of positive [things] and she broke a lot of barriers, records and charts. And they should allow people to see that part of her, too. I mean, she's gone and she can't even defend herself. And to damage her family, I feel like it's a cheap shot at selling a magazine or a paper. Let her rest. Hopefully her daughter can gain strength and make wiser decisions while she's young.

WATCH: Fallon And Rudd In A Movie Together?

Paul Rudd stopped by "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" on Friday to talk about his movie "Wanderlust," and the guys got to reminiscing. It seems that Fallon and Rudd starred in a few movies of their own in 2011 -- ones that you'd never hear of at the Oscars -- and they took their time on the show to take a walk down memory lane.

Who could forget that historical tearjerker, "Lil' Patriot"? Or the feel-good tween dance movie "3-DJs"?

The interview certainly was goofy, and you can watch the guys riff off the posters in the clips above and below, but the real highlight for us came today, when Tumblr Shut the Jeabot posted the posters themselves in all of their glory.

So if anyone out there is looking for some wall art to bring their decorating scheme to the next level, look no further.

WATCH: Man Murdered Outside House Owned By Rick Ross

A man was found shot to death early Wednesday morning outside a Miami Gardens home owned by rapper Rick Ross.

Gregory Paul Nesbitt, 39, was shot several times outside the pink 3-bedroom at 3203 NW 181st St, according to NBCMiami.

Ross uses the house as a recording studio, reports the Miami Herald, and was not present at the time of the shooting.

"They do have neighbors that did hear some gunshots," Miami Gardens Police spokesman Sgt. Bill Bamford said. "They are talking to them to see what they heard and when they heard it, and hopefully put the pieces of this puzzle together and find out who killed this man."

Miami-Dade County records show the modest house was purchased for $70,000 under Ross's birth name, William L. Roberts II, in 2010. Though born in Mississippi, Ross was raised in nearby Carol City and even named his first solo album 'Port of Miami' after his adopted hometown.

Records show a 39-year-old Gregory Paul Nesbitt of Miami faced a variety of charges in the late 1980s and 1990s, from cocaine trafficking to grand theft of a motor vehicle to aggravated assault on a first responder. He was released from prison in 2002.

This is a developing story.

Jill Zarin Fights Back Against Jewish Federation

The ugly dispute between former "Real Housewives of New York" star Jill Zarin and the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas is getting nasty.

Jill, her sister, Lisa Wexler, and their mother, Gloria Kamen, were paid to give a speech at a women's charity event organized by the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas. The organization issued an apology after Lisa reportedly told the audience that stay-at-home moms are not fulfilled and need to work outside the home. But now, Jill is fighting back, saying this never happened.

"They completely lied," Jill tells me. "They didn't have their listening ears on and misunderstood what she said. No one walked out. It was running one hour late and was already 10:00 PM after dessert, so a few left. I have it all on tape."

Following the speech, event organizers were quick to email an apology to all the guests, saying Jill and her family were "a true and complete disappointment. Their presentation was not what we had planned with them and certainly did not meet our expectations of a funny and poignant take on Jewish motherhood."

However, it is Jill who is now saying it was her family that was let down.

"From the minute we got on stage, we had mic issues," Jill recalls. "So bad that they took off all our individual mics and gave us only one big handheld mic -- so unprofessional. No one could really understand us. We were thrown under the bus. We were never asked to be funny. We were asked to talk about subjects in the book, which we did."

Pat Gallagher: Is Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Really Necessary? Almost Never.

0
0

I have thin lips. Putting lipstick on me is like putting lipstick on a goat. I don't enjoy having goat lips. I'd like to have full lips, but somehow in the womb, my DNA blueprint read: thin lips, skinny legs, small blue eyes, red hair, Jimmy Durante nose (although I'm almost positive he wasn't my daddy), really small boobs, straight teeth, toe fungus later in life.

I was never happy that I had to wear a training bra until I was in my early 20s (when I progressed to an A cup), and I didn't grow into my nose until I developed jowls. By the time my boobs were full (because they plump up after menopause, but I'm not sure scientists have discovered exactly why), I was a grown-up with a rubber tummy and Joan Crawford shoulders (she wore shoulder pads, mine are just broad bones covered with clown muscles that came out of nowhere after I turned 50).

The bottom line is I could use some work, but I don't like knives, I hate needles, and I don't want someone to inject Jell-O into my lips. I'm not ugly, and I'm not a beauty. I don't have Angelina Jolie's face with those beautiful full lips or that fairly attractive skinny right leg; I don't have Jennifer Aniston's gorgeous legs and arms and flat stomach but I don't want Brad Pitt so I'm good.

If I got a face lift and had liposuction, I would look like someone who had a bad experience in the barn yard. It would go bad, I just know it. I've seen bad plastic surgery and the "after" is much worse than the "before." If it could go wrong, it would go wrong on me. I just have that kind of luck.

I can't even stand it that girls/women in their 20's, 30's and 40's are getting cosmetic plastic surgery and Botox injections these days. There's no reasonable explanation. Really. Yes, I get breast enhancements, but the rest of the body doesn't need to be tweaked, twisted and tampered with. People who get cosmetic plastic surgery are looking for perfection. Nobody's perfect.

If it were legal to run around in public naked, trust me, nobody would.

Post surgery, you may feel better for 20 minutes, but once the novelty wears off, there's an old saying: "Wherever you go, there you are." Your body may seem new, but your "troubles" will follow you no matter where you go. If your boss is a jackass, he won't perk up after you return to the office with enhancements. You'll still want to let the air out of his tires.

Life is still going to be filled with jerks. And jerks hate perfect bodies so they'll mistreat you and find ways to make you feel bad about your beautiful self by messing with your mind.

There's always going to be someone prettier than you are. Always. Who is the most beautiful woman alive? Jennifer Lopez... according to People magazine, and don't they pretty much have a lock on knowing who's beautiful? And who has a chance of dating her? Not your man. One day she'll be old, and there will be another Most Beautiful Woman Alive. And who will have a chance of dating her? Not your man.

"Beauty is in the mind of the beholder,"... another great saying. My husband, Buffoon, doesn't think Angelina Jolie is beautiful. He needs glasses, but so what? I'm not saying he thinks I'm a knock-out, but he did marry me back in the day when I looked fairly attractive. He does find other women very attractive. Believe me, I'm totally insecure about the woman who lives in my neighborhood who is 20 years younger, prettier, flirts with Buff (which makes him feel good about himself even though he has a spare tire around his waist and chest), and she bakes, but if I go under the knife, that won't make her less pretty and won't make me 20 years younger. He'll still know how old I am, and I'll still hate her for looking so good and wearing those short shorts so tight they could strangle a gecko (and I hate her cookies). There are hundreds of nice-looking women that are floating around every neighborhood in this country, and if I succumb to the knife to compete, there will still be women out there who make me look like Marge Simpson.

And if he leaves me one day for someone younger and prettier with the intention of having really good sex, then he'll find out real fast that she's shallow and is probably a screamer.

I could name off a few celebrities who have had bad experiences with plastic surgery, but I don't want to hurt their feelings. They know. It makes me sad for them. If they have a happy family life, then that's what counts. Looks are fleeting no matter who you are, so remember: The important people in your life are those who love you unconditionally.

We all have mirrors. When we look in the mirror, who do we see? We see who we are. How other people see us, is irrelevant.

Robert Ross: No One-Hit Wonder as Lady Gaga Takes on Advocacy

0
0

The spectrum of success in the music industry can be roughly divided between one-hit wonders on one end and sound that defines a generation on the other.

We all know and love "Rock, Me Amadeus," "Who Let the Dogs Out," and "The Macarena," but very few of us remember the bands Falco, Baha Men or Los Del Rio.

Madonna, The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Bruce Springsteen became part of our cultural fiber through the creation of music that authentically expressed a far-ranging artistic vision.

The same is true when celebrities approach philanthropy and advocacy.

Many artists choose to lend their name to efforts, headline fundraisers or film PSAs. Just like one-hit wonders keep feet tapping, these efforts make an important difference to the causes they support.

Then there are artists who choose to take on the role of advocates and philanthropists. When they do so, they are most successful when they make this new role an extension of their persona, their artistry and their vision.

From Bono to John Mellencamp to Bob Geldof, advocacy from within the music industry has made an incredible difference across the globe and here at home.

The newest star is following in their footsteps -- and taking the plunge in the same kind of thoughtful and disciplined way that made her a global pop sensation.

Lady Gaga is widely seen as the emerging iconic star of the 2010s. Her music gets played from the hippest clubs to the squarest 50th high school reunion parties. Indeed, her liberating and unifying persona is beloved across the globe and demographic groups.

The California Endowment -- the largest health foundation in the western United States -- and the MacArthur Foundation are joining as partners with Lady Gaga's new Born This Way Foundation because, just like everyone with whom foundations choose to partner, she is profoundly serious about this next stage in her career.

She has already been an outspoken and effective advocate on behalf of marriage equality, gays and lesbians serving openly in the military, a humane immigration policy and the fight against bullying.

The Foundation will take her advocacy to the level and use research and education to help instill values of kindness and empowerment in young people, while addressing issues like anti-bullying, suicide prevention, self-confidence and well-being.

These issues are not only close to Lady Gaga's heart but, just as important, they are authentically tied to her music, her message and her fans.

It's just a fantastic endeavor and, with nearly 20 million Twitter followers than, there's probably no one better positioned to make change than Lady Gaga. Of course, she needs partners and we're proud to be there.

The California's Endowment's campaign to promote youth empowerment and healthy youth development is an amazing companion for the new foundation as we focus on improving people's health by improving their surroundings.

From bullying-free schools, to creating more playgrounds in neighborhoods and ensuring that kids have access to healthy foods, we are turning the health tide for kids and teens across California.

The Born This Way Foundation launched Feb. 29 at Harvard University with Oprah Winfrey, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Deepak Chopra and other leaders at Lady Gaga's side. But it won't be a one-day event, as a bus tour is under way and there will be a presence for the foundation at Lady Gaga concerts.

Time, patience and perseverance will be the key to the foundation's success, just like they've been the key to Lady Gaga's artistic success. And that's what's important -- she clearly knows what it takes to make her foundation last and make a real difference.

Lady Gaga has captured the imagination of an entire generation with her music. Now she is on the verge of giving that same generation an even greater sense of empowerment for their health and well-being.

It just may be her most spectacular show yet!

Bristol Palin Gets A New Reality Show

Bristol Palin's reality show, "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp," is heading to Lifetime. This series is different than the show originally ordered by BIO featuring Palin and her son Tripp living with fellow "Dancing With the Stars" contestant Kyle Massey.

"From the first moment she was thrust into the public eye, Bristol and her son have been the subjects of a huge amount of curiosity and misunderstanding," Rob Sharenow, executive vice president of programming at Lifetime Networks, said in a statement. "This show will reveal the real Bristol Palin and her journey as a daughter, a mother and a young woman making her way in the world."

"Life's a Tripp" will consist of 10 half-hour episodes and follow the single mom as she adjusts to life back in Alaska. Palin moved to Los Angeles following her time on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars." In January, Palin moved back to Alaska, saying that she was tired of the L.A. life.

"I wasn't really into the Hollywood thing,” she told the magazine. "After that, I just realized that I was over it. I was ready to come home."

Plans for her first reality show were scrapped in November. Here's how Lifetime describes the new series:

With never-before-granted access to Bristol's real-life experiences growing into womanhood, "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp" will reveal how she adjusts to her life in Alaska, where daily she faces the many pressures of raising her toddler son Tripp alone and maintains the close relationship she holds with her parents, former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Todd, and siblings. Steadfastly moving forward both personally and professionally, Bristol will be confronted by the many difficult life decisions people must make regarding parenthood, family, relationships and career - giving viewers a unique look at how these true-to-life challenges test her resolve as she single-handedly writes the next chapter in her and Tripp's young life.

Kelly Cutrone: 'Top Model' Is One Of The Best Jobs

0
0

Expect some good drama and more than a few tears Wednesday night when Kelly Cutrone takes a seat next to Tyra Banks and Nigel Barker as the newest judge of "America's Next Top Model."

"I'm not there to make friends. I am there to make some good TV. These girls need some help," Cutrone told The Huffington Post. "I definitely made some people cry, but if you look at it, they made themselves cry. I don't get off on making people cry. But watch episode three is all I have to say. That's where I hit my stride."

Cutrone, who previously appeared on the small screen in "The City" and "Kell on Earth," joins the hit modeling show's 18th cycle, replacing Andre Leon Talley at the judging table.

It's never easy being the new girl, but Cutrone, who is also head honcho at the publicity and marketing firm People's Revolution, told us that despite a short learning curve, she fit right in as the new judge.

"I'm like straight-up Cutrone on the show, but when I first got there, it was a little weird. People were nice to me, but fitting in at first was hard," she said. "At the end of the day, everyone was nice to me. It was one of the best and easy jobs I've ever had."

It probably helps that she found a soul mate in fellow judge Nigel Barker.

"I knew Tyra a little bit, and I have always seen her around, and she has been pleasant, but it was Nigel who became my TV husband. And who wouldn't want Nigel Barker as your TV husband?" Cutrone swooned.

Some critics have already taken shots at Cutrone's own appearance on the flashy fashion show, suggesting maybe she could have tried a little harder instead of resorting to her standby disheveled hair and black tops. Cutrone told HuffPost that those comments have been particularly hurtful because she actually did attempt to go glam for the TV stint.

"That's how bad it is. I had the most expensive haircut you can get, and I was walking around with my hair in rollers backstage, and my hair still came out looking like I was shot out of a cannon and I had just gotten out of bed," Cutrone said.

The new season of "America's Next Top Model" begins Wednesday, Feb. 29, at 9 p.m. on The CW.

When Die Antwoord first got "all up on the interwebs" back in 2009, the world thought they were just a group of pasty-faced South African hooligans who happened to write good songs. But when the music community began to scratch the surface of their crudely-rendered homemade tattoos, critics and fans alike discovered a much more complex performance at play. Today, Die Antwoord's Ninja, Yo-Landi Vi$$er, and DJ Hi-Tek aren't just a bunch of fame-hungry troublemakers with questionable, politically-inspired aesthetics. Rather, they've proven themselves to be talented artists whose creative vision has helped put South African culture back on the world stage. With a name that translates to "the answer" in Afrikaans, Die Antwoord is a kind of art-rock hybrid that's not just a band, but an exotic fusion of art, performance, and music that has defined a new kind of style, something Die Antwoord calls "Zef."

"Zef's kind of, like, you don't give a ∫♥©k, and you have your own flavor, and you're on your own mission," Yo-Landi Vi$$er told The Guardian in 2010. It's associated with people who soup their cars up and rock gold and $h!t. Zef is you're poor, but you're fancy. You're poor, but you're sexy. You've got style."

These days, Die Antwoord have released TEN$ION, a followup to their highly successful 2009 debut, $O$. They're touring sold-out shows in support of their sophomore album, which they've issued through their indie label, Zef Recordz, after recently leaving Interscope. Meanwhile, Die Antwoord continue to incite and inspire a growing legion of fans who are members of their own ersatz army. Check out the Spring 2012 T by Alexander Wang campaign video featuring Die Antwoord, followed by photos of a few "Zeflings," culled from Die Antwoord's Facebook page. See more pics on Pop Curious.

Nancy Grace's 'DWTS' Advice For Sherri Shepherd

"Dancing With the Stars" alumnus Nancy Grace came by "The View" (weekdays on ABC) to offer some advice to new contestant Sherri Shepherd. After Shepherd described how she "got scared" during the cast announcement when she saw how focused Jaleel White and Gladys Knight were on winning, Grace gave her some cold comfort.

"Number one, show no fear," Grace instructed, leaving the door wide open for Joy Behar, who immediately quipped, "Number two: Show no nipple."

After brushing off Behar's wisecrack, Grace continued to dole out "Dancing" wisdom. "The other thing is, there are gonna be haters who are gonna make fun of you and laugh at you ... forget about them," she said.

The discussion then turned to how Grace managed to balance dance rehearsals with her nightly HLN legal show while also raising young twins. Grace opted to move her kids to the West Coast while she was on the show. "I finally went out there with the twins. There were some days I'd leave dance rehearsal after seven or eight hours, put on my jacket to do my night show, and still have on my dance clothes [from the waist down]. And then take that jacket off, and put off the sweaty dance [gear] and go back to rehearsal after. Have fun!"

Shepherd, on the other hand, will be splitting time between her two commitments, and the East and West coasts. She'll spending Mondays and Tuesdays in California doing "Dancing" and flying back to New York to film "The View" Wednesday through Friday.

Justin Bieber Knows 'Cougars' Are Happy He's 'Finally Legal'

Like the Olsen twins, Emma Watson, Lindsay Lohan and other teen stars who've come of age, Justin Bieber's 18th birthday was anxiously awaited by many.

Today is the day the pop star finally reached the age of majority. At last, he can legally gamble, sign contracts, get married, enroll in the armed services, drink alcohol in nearly every country, plus the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec. Also, he's no longer "jailbait" and he knows it.

On Thursday morning, the birthday boy tweeted:

To be fair, Bieber is known for his taste in older women -- he's been dating 19-year-old pop star and actress Selena Gomez for more than a year now.

He's only been "legal" for a few hours, but turning 18 has been very good for the singer. Appearing on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday, Bieber revealed his new single, "Boyfriend," will be out March 26. Bieber was given a huge gift by his manager, Scooter Braun, who praised the singer for all the amazing work he's done with charity, most recently spending time with a 6-year-old fan who is sticken with cancer.

"I always yell at you, 'Don't get anything flashy.' You know, we're not about that. Be humble, be humble. And I kind of broke my own rule," Braun told Bieber before presenting him with a Fisker Karma -- an ultra-exclusive, environmentally friendly, plug-in hybrid luxury sports sedan that costs more than $100,000.

Melissa Rivers: The Perks Of Dating A Porn King

After finding out that her boyfriend has been cruising the Internet for ladies while they were still in a relationship, Melissa Rivers never thought she would find love again. But after just a matter of months, she has -- ironically, with Steve Hirsch, owner and CEO of one of the most successful porn companies in the world.

"There were web cams and he was soliciting people online," Melissa says of her ex on the set of my HDNet talk show, "Naughty But Nice." "It was very bad. It was very hard for me and my son. I am not a snooper. It happened by accident, but I am dating someone awesome now."

Promising that all her friends will now be getting free porn for Christmas, Melissa makes it clear that her new man isn’t in the films he produces.

"He's very normal, he's just a businessman in the business," Melissa says. "He runs the entertainment company, which is rather large. But we were in Vegas last week for the awards, and a lot of the girls looked so good. All night, girls were coming up to me asking about how they looked, and I would just think, 'Well, I can't see your vagina, so that's good,' and their makeup is running down their faces and there's actually a best anal work award. One girl said, I don't know if I can say this, but 'I would like to thank my a--hole for putting up with all of these shenanigans.'"

Most importantly, Melissa's new boyfriend has something that the last one did not -- her mother's approval.

"My daughter is with the Steven Spielberg of porn," gushed mom, Joan Rivers.

"Naughty But Nice with Rob" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on HDNet.

'Glee' Is The New 'Monkees'

When the "The Monkees" premiered in 1966, the made-for-TV band turned into an overnight sensensation. They had all the elements of a pop culture phenomenon in the making, including a dashing Davy Jones. Sadly, Jones recently passed away at the age of 66.

"The Monkees" Micky Dolenz appeared on both "Today" and "Good Morning America" to remember his late friend and bandmate and look back on The Monkees phenomenon.

“It was a television show about this band that was not successful, that wanted to be the Beatles but never was on the show," Dolenz told "GMA." "It was about the struggle for success, and it spoke to all bands ... The closest thing that's come along down the pike since 'The Monkees,' I think, is 'Glee,' which is a show about an imaginary glee club, but they really are good and they can actually do it.”

If "Glee" is the new version of "The Monkees," then they're going to need bigger tour busses. TVLine's Michael Ausiello reports that the Fox comedy is currently casting a new gay character -- Chandler -- a vivacious, hunky high schooler.

Reality TV star Bethenny Frankel stopped by "Access Hollywood Live" Wednesday to dish on her sex life with husband Jason Hoppy.

The former "Real Housewives of New York City" cast member (and current star of "Bethenny Ever After") shared how the couple has managed to keep their marriage hot, despite the challenges of parenthood and two busy careers.

"You have to realize the times of days you like to have sex," Frankel said. "I'm a morning sex person."

The 41-year-old mother admitted that she and her husband of nearly two years have had to adjust to their new schedule as parents. "It's different when you have a baby and when you're working," Frankel told "Access Hollywood Live." "You have to have a date night."

She adds, "It has to be a top priority in a relationship as you get older."

Frankel and Hoppy met in a Manhattan nightclub in November 2008 and began dating later that year. Hoppy proposed in October 2009, and the pair wed at the Four Seasons in New York City in March 2010. Just two months later, Frankel gave birth to their daughter, Bryn.

"The last three episodes, I get personally involved in a mother and her daughter ... the mother is a prostitute and her daughter is potentially going into that life, and I'm trying to save the daughter from that life. It gets very hairy and very intense," he said.

McKenzie also talked about his character Ben Sherman's growth as a police officer. "I was a rookie for three seasons," he quipped. "But this season ... I get to decide what kind of cop I want to be. I can chose someone like my partner, Shawn Hatosy's character, who's a really terrific cop, or I can choose some of the other characters on the show, who are, quite frankly, burnouts ... It's just trying to figure out where that line is, and every cop has to figure that out for themselves. You have to figure out who you want to be."

In a recent interview with HuffPost TV, Lucy Liu echoed similar themes in previewing what was in store for her character, Officer Jessica Tang. "I think you're going to start seeing a complexity of judgment in the next few episodes coming up. There's a situation that occurs that creates a bit of tension between her and her partner, and it's about choice. It's about how everyone judges things from very different perspectives, and how that kind of climaxes into the season finale, essentially. I know that's vague, but I don't want to give anything away -- it'll be better and more fun not knowing.

"Southland" airs Tuesdays, 10 p.m. EST on TNT.
