'RHONJ': Jacqueline Hurt By Teresa's Comments About Her Autistic Son

0
0

Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice were attempting to settle their differences on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey." Their discussion brought Jacqueline to tears when she said that Teresa had said something that hurt her. When Teresa asked her what it was, Jacqueline brought up a comment Teresa had made claiming that she thought Jacqueline devoted more time to attacking Teresa than she did to her autistic son.

“Don’t imply that that’s where my focus is, because it’s not," Jacqueline told Teresa. "You have idea what I go through with my son on a daily basis. You have no idea."

While Teresa didn't apologize directly, she did say that she would never intentionally hurt Jacqueline. At one time, she considered her a sister, though their relationship is much cooler now. Still, they ended things with an agreement to be civil to one another. Later, they were true to their respective words when they went to a charity event. They may have even started getting close again.

HuffPost's Sydney Leven had a theory as to why the women reconciled so easily. "Maybe reflecting on a tough situation that's out of their control made them realize what they were powerful enough to change," she mused. "Or perhaps it's not that cerebral. At the end of the day, these women were friends for over 10 years. That bond may be bent worse than Kathy's pre-op nose, but it's not completely broken.”

Writing for The Stir, Julie Ryan Evans was surprised at the semi-happy ending, and wondered what it meant for the future of the season. "How long any of these reconciliations will last is anyone's guess," she wrote. "But if things keep going like they are, it's going to be one tame reunion show.”

Of course, there's still plenty of time for everything to fall apart on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

'Kardashians': As Kim Moves Back Home, Who's Moving Out?

Kris Jenner proved that she will do anything for her daughter on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." While she has a lot of daughters, that statement is specific to daughter Kim. See, when Kris agreed to allow Kim to move back home in anticipation of baby North West's arrival, she didn't bother to tell the rest of the family that still lives there -- namely, husband Bruce and daughters Kylie and Kendall. But even that wasn't the end of it.

Kris hired a designer to makeover a room in the house into a nursery, leading to somewhat cramped conditions. But Kris was adamant that Kim needed to be there. Kim had sold her house, and her new house wasn't going to be ready until February, which was months after the baby's due date.

“It’s like this house isn’t even our own. It’s ridiculous!” Bruce said. "I’m just getting tired of it. There’s nothing for me here.”

Making the situation even more tense, Kris imposed a "no visitors for 40 days after the baby's birth"rule. This rule was especially problematic for the younger girls in the house as Kim's due date falls during their summer vacation, and they wanted to have friends over.

Kris came up with a solution, but it was kind of a crazy one. She rented out a house for Bruce, Kendall and Kylie to use. “Is Kim’s happiness more important than everyone else’s?" asked Hollywood Life's Chloe Melas. "Can you believe that three members of the family had to move out just so Kim could move in? The entire thing is crazy and to be honest makes you wonder why Kim didn’t just rent her own place as to not let herself be such an intrusion. But then again, it’s Kim’s world and maybe she just don’t care!”

Over at The Stir, Julie Ryan Evans thought this move was a very telling one about Kris' priorities as a mother. "If anything [Kris] has ever done says, ‘My world revolves around Kim, and the rest of you are mere distractions,’ this was pretty much it," she wrote.

The big day creeps ever closer on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on E!

'Breaking Amish: LA': Makeovers Transform Cast

The girls of "Breaking Amish: LA" were in for a big treat as part if their immersion into the modern world. It was time for a modern makeover!

“This is the best day of my life," Iva said.

“I know. Every Amish girl’s dream," Betsy agreed. "This is probably the first time I’ve felt actually beautiful.”

By the time they had their style makeovers, it was time for some new fashion. When it was all said and done, they didn't even look like the same people. They said they didn't want to look Amish at all, and that was certainly accomplished.

But the guys weren't left out of the makeover fun. They got new clothes and updated styles as well, though their physical transformation wasn't nearly as dramatic as the ladies. Samuel, though, apparently got a scent improvement as well. One hairdresser said he smelled like manure before she washed his hair.

Starcasm's Asa Hawks loved the dramatic makeovers, describing the new looks with words like "fantastic" and its more extreme iteration, "fandamtastic!"

Now that they look modern and "English," the adventure continues on "Breaking Amish: LA" every Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.

'Breaking Bad' Creator Vince Gilligan Admits He Doesn't Like Walt

AMC continues their new tradition of talk shows for their biggest series. The premiere of "Talking Bad," which will take fans through the final eight episodes of "Breaking Bad," kicked off with show creator Vince Gilligan and bona fide superfan Julie Bowen.

Host Chris Hardwick asked Gilligan if he still liked Walt. "Not so much, no. He’s kind of a bad dude," Gilligan responded. "I mean, that was kind of the whole point of it all, but at a certain point he’s harder and harder to symapthize with.”

He then reiterated the pitch for the series, which is, "We’re gonna take Mr. Chips, we’re gonna turn him into Scarface.”

But the "Modern Family" star was still rooting for Walt, despite all he's done. She said she can still sympathize with him because he "represents the greediness in all of us." She was literally hanging on every word coming out of Gilligan's mouth, looking for clues to upcoming episodes.

It was all rather adorable and hilarious. She did tell Hardwick that she'd warned him she might just take over the episode. Bowen took to Twitter and said that it was amazing to "geek out" next to the creator of one of her favorite shows.

Gilligan did say that he, at least, was very satisfied with the final episodes. He told Vulture that he hopes fans are satisfied as well. "We always want to end every episode of 'Breaking Bad,' particularly the final eight, with a big development, a big finish," he said. "It became apparent to us that we only got eight of these things left. We wanted to move like a bat outta hell and let the chips fall where they may."

"Talking Bad" will continue alongside the final episodes of "Breaking Bad," Sunday nights at 11 p.m. ET on AMC.

Oprah Vs. Meryl?

0
0

There are just under 29 weeks between now and the 2014 Academy Awards, but that doesn't mean it's too early to start speculating about next year's biggest races. Case in point: GoldDerby.com editor Tom O'Neil reports that Meryl Streep will be eligible for Best Supporting Actress at next year's Oscars ceremony for her role in "August: Osage County." That decision puts Streep in direct competition with Oprah Winfrey, who has already earned awards buzz for her showy role in "Lee Daniels' The Butler."

The twist of this shift is that Streep's role in "August: Osage County" is of the leading variety. As O'Neil notes, Streep plays Violet Weston in John Wells' adaptation of Tracy Letts' award-winning play, a part that won Broadway star Deanna Dunagan Best Actress at the Tony Awards.

Not that actors aren't often thrust into the supporting category to avoid vote-splitting between other co-stars. (Streep's co-star is Julia Roberts, who O'Neil writes becomes a front-runner for Best Actress because of the move.) Just last year, Philip Seymour Hoffman was shifted to Best Supporting Actor for "The Master," this despite the fact that his part was of equal standing with Joaquin Phoenix. The decision worked, as both men received Oscar nominations -- Phoenix for Best Actor, Hoffman for Best Supporting Actor. A similar move was made on "Django Unchained," with Christoph Waltz dropping to Best Supporting Actor despite having a leading role. Waltz wound up winning the category at this year's Oscars; his "leading" co-star, Jamie Foxx, was not nominated for Best Actor. (Some trivia: All the films mentioned, including "August: Osage County" and "The Butler," were released by The Weinstein Company.)

Whether Streep and Winfrey wind up receiving Oscar nominations for their respective work is a ways out; nominations for the 2014 Oscars will be announced on Jan. 16.

Miami 'Housewives' Weigh In On Teresa Giudice's Legal Troubles

0
0

It's hard being a "Housewife." On a visit to HuffPost Live, "The Real Housewives of Miami" stars Joanna Krupa and Lea Black briefly discussed "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice's recent legal troubles.

Teresa and Joe Giudice were charged with 39 counts of fraud in July, with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud between September 2001 and September 2008. Joe Giudice is also charged with failing to file tax returns from 2004 to 2008, during which time he allegedly earned almost $1 million. They were released on $500,000 bond on July 30.

Krupa noted that when someone agrees to participate in a reality show, "you take it with the good and the bad," but declined to comment further because, "I haven't really followed it and it's not my business."

Black was more critical of the media's spotlight on the Giudices' legal woes, saying, "I think the media should stay out of it because they've got enough problems ... I'm rooting them and wishing them well."

"The Real Housewives of Miami" Season 3 premieres August 12 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Should the media stay out of the Giudices' legal battle, or do the reality stars deserve the scrutiny? Weigh in below!

Naya's New Single 'Sorry' Stirs Up Trouble With Boyfriend's Ex

Naya Rivera is not sorry -- and she wants all of Big Sean’s ex-girlfriends to know it.

On Friday afternoon, the “Glee” star debuted her single “Sorry” on Los Angeles’ Power 106 FM, according to E! Online. The song features the 26-year-old star’s boyfriend rapping along as Rivera sings the unapologetic lyrics to his exes; a not so subtle message one of his former lovers seems to disagree with.

If there were ever any doubt that the two were dating, “Sorry” seems to clear up that not only are the couple together but they’re going strong:

Sorry, I'm not sorry
Cause I’ve been rolling round, shut it down, lady
Bagged him up, now he’s my baby

Towards the end of the song Big Sean chimes in:

Oh, my girl so fine that you scared to tell her "hi"
She an all-around ten like a high five
And we ain't fall in love, we skydive

But the song takes a not so subtle turn at the end when Rivera calls out her beau’s ex-girlfriends by name:

Amber, Brytni, Tiffany
Sorry he belongs to me
Heather, Ashley, Stephanie
It just wasn't meant to be sorry.

(Listen To The Full Song Above)

The actress’ song was well received by her fans on Friday and Naya took to Twitter to thank everyone for the support.

Still, things didn’t end there. The following morning, model, actress and -- not to mention one of Big Sean’s exes -- Brytni Sarpy appears to have responded to the new single via her personal Twitter account.

And in case there was any doubt the tweets were in reference to Rivera’s new single, Sarpy also retweeted a fans response to "Sorry."

Naya and Big Sean made their relationship public back in April when the two hit the red carpet together for the premiere of “42” in Los Angeles.

What do you think of Naya’s unapologetic new single? Let us know what you think of the song and Brytni Sarpy’s reaction in the comments below.

Iconic Street Clogged With Beatles Fans As 'Abbey Road' Anniversary Approaches

As the 44th anniversary of the Beatles' "Abbey Road" approaches, fans of the beloved British band are descending in droves to the eponymous London street where John, Paul, Ringo and George posed for the album's now-iconic cover.

According to Yahoo's Chris Willman, the classic photo was snapped on August 8, 1969, by photographer Iain Macmillan.

Macmillan reportedly stood on a stepladder, taking just a handful of shots of the band members as they sauntered across the street. A policeman is said to have held up traffic for a few brief moments as the photographer worked his magic.

"The whole idea, I must say, was Paul McCartney's," Macmillan told The Guardian in 1989, according to Willman. "A few days before the shoot, he drew a sketch of how he imagined the cover, which we executed almost exactly that day. I took a couple of shots of the Beatles crossing Abbey Road one way. We let some of the traffic go by and then they walked across the road the other way, and I took a few more shots. The one eventually chosen for the cover was number five of six. It was the only one that had their legs in a perfect 'V' formation, which is what I wanted stylistically."

Over the years, fans of the Fab Four have flocked to Abbey Road to recreate the band's forever-immortalized pose. The London street is so popular among Beatles enthusiasts, in fact, that Abbey Road Studios has set up a live webcam of the crossing so people can watch in real time as fans make the pilgrimage.

According to The Telegraph, the number of people swarming the street has increased dramatically in recent weeks as the 44th anniversary of the album approaches. There have been "complaints from residents about graffiti and fans holding up traffic," the news outlet writes.

"It could have been very different, because the original title was going to be 'Everest,'" Beatles tour guide Richard Porter told the Telegraph of the classic album's name. "But someone suggested they go to Mount Everest to take the photo and they said, 'No, we're not doing that,' so they took the photo out here virtually outside the studio."

'Tony Stark' To The Rescue?

Nice work if you can get it.

A 15-second HTC teaser ad starring Robert Downey Jr. was released on YouTube Monday, signaling the start of the actor's reported two-year, $12 million deal with the cell phone maker, the Los Angeles Times wrote.

In the spot above, an executive alerts a boardroom that "subversive thinking has arrived." Enter Downey, essentially in Tony Stark "Iron Man" mode. Playing on HTC's initials, he pops open a briefcase and says, "Humongous Tinfoil Catamaran."

The company's $1 billion campaign officially launches on Thursday, the paper notes.

HTC, a Taiwan-based manufacturer of Android phones, experienced a sharp profit fall in its June quarter, even though its recently released HTC One smartphone was highly regarded, Marketwatch noted.

Can superhero Downey save HTC from what Marketwatch calls a "high-end smartphone" slump? HTC told Geekwire that it hired Downey for its campaign because "Downey is respected as an actor, yet he doesn’t follow the typical Hollywood mold."

Lucy Liu Initially Turned Down The Role Of Watson

0
0

"Elementary" was one of the few successes of the 2012-2013 TV season, but the CBS series almost looked very different -- Lucy Liu initially turned down the role of Dr. Joan Watson.

Star Jonny Lee Miller has previously admitted that he said no to the role of the reimagined Sherlock Holmes, but in a recent interview with CBS' Watch magazine, he revealed that he wasn't the only one with doubts.

"There have been hundreds of incarnations over the years, but because of the high-profile ones recently, it didn’t seem like a good idea at all," Miller told Watch. "I initially said no to the project ... I think Lucy did the same thing. But I came to my senses! I read the script and thought it was very interesting, different and strong enough that we could do something different with it."

Indeed, according to British newspaper The Independent, Liu had exactly the same concerns as her co-star about the influx of Holmes adaptations: "I said ‘no’. I passed on it a couple of times. I just thought, you know what, to take something that’s a movie that was very recent and a current TV show, I just didn’t know what could be different about it.”

Luckily for "Elementary" fans, both stars came to embrace the show's new approach to the iconic characters, and "Elementary" will begin its second season on Thurs., Sept. 26 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS with a premiere filmed on location in London.

Can you imagine "Elementary" without Liu as Watson?

'Big Bang Theory' Star's Surprising On-Set Ritual

0
0

"The Big Bang Theory" keeps getting bigger, and while it's impossible to identify the precise chemical formula that makes the CBS hit so addictive, the comedy's cast is undoubtedly a huge factor.

So what does an Emmy-nominated actress on one of TV's biggest comedies do to prepare herself for the role? If she's Mayim Bialik, she's got a very specific, very unusual pre-filming routine.

"On tape night, I have onion rings and half a Coca-Cola, and I study with a friend," Bialik told The Hollywood Reporter. "We study Jewish philosophy -- that’s my pre-Tuesday ritual during dinner break. It puts some perspective on what we’re doing, and it takes my mind off the Coke and onion rings."

It might sound random, but it's obviously working -- this season Bialik was nominated for her second consecutive Supporting Actress in a Comedy Emmy for playing Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler, alongside nods for co-star Jim Parsons in the Lead Actor in a Comedy category, Bob Newhart for Guest Actor in a Comedy, and an Outstanding Comedy nod for "The Big Bang Theory" itself.

When Bialik heard she was nominated for a second year, she was apparently surprised by the news: "I am as shocked as if you told me that ["Big Bang" co-creator] Chuck Lorre had been nominated for a Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Emmy," Bialik wrote in a blog post for Jewish parenting website Kveller.com. "Why am I so shocked? I don’t know; I’ll ask my therapist. I just am! I was certain I would not be nominated."

Season 7 of "The Big Bang Theory" promises to continue the momentum of the past season, with the characters strengthening their relationships in unexpected ways and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) finally being able to talk to women without the aid of alcohol. Fans can also look forward to an hour-long premiere scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET.

Guns N' Roses Marriage Proposal Prompts Police Probe

LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas police are investigating whether employees went too far for reportedly helping the guitarist of Guns N' Roses execute a grand romantic gesture.

Daren Jay "DJ" Ashba posted a photo on Instagram Saturday of himself and his girlfriend, Colombian actress and model Nathalia Henao, wearing helicopter headgear. He thanked the Las Vegas police department for "the most amazing" private helicopter tour over the city, saying it ended in a field at police headquarters, where he proposed amid roses and "a bottle of the bubble stuff."

"That was the most incredible day of our life!!" he wrote in the post, which came after a picture of a round-cut diamond solitaire with the caption, "She said yes!!!"

"(I)t was beautiful she didn't expect a thing, it was magical. And thanks to our good friends for helping making it all happen!!" Ashba, 40, continued.

Guns N' Roses' publicist confirmed the validity of the Instagram account to The Associated Press. She said the couple met three years ago in Rome and got engaged Wednesday.

Las Vegas police issued a statement Saturday acknowledging two civilians were granted a ride-along in a helicopter, although they didn't mention names and didn't offer many details.

"An internal affairs investigation has been initiated to determine if any department policies or regulations were violated in granting this ride-along," spokesman Bill Cassell said.

The helicopter ride comes as the department is already strapped for cash. Last week, Sheriff Doug Gillespie continued his push to increase sales tax in Clark County – which includes Las Vegas – from 8.1 to 8.25 percent.

The tax initiative, dubbed "More Cops," is aimed at plugging a $30 million budget hole, thereby saving some positions from being cut and allowing new officers to be hired.

That irony wasn't lost on one Instagram commenter, who goes by the handle mjmannino81.

"It's nice to know that Clark County (which includes Las Vegas), might raise the sales tax to pay for extra cops to give private helicopter tours for wealthy celebrities," he wrote.

Look Who's Back For 'Glee' Season 5

0
0

"Glee" Season 5 just got a whole lot sassier, with E! News reporting that NeNe Leakes is set to reprise her role as Coach Roz Washington in multiple episodes.

"Glee" fans last saw Leakes in the Season 4 episode "All or Nothing," where she served as coach of the Cheerios after replacing the fired Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch). Leakes was also a regular on NBC's recently cancelled "The New Normal," and continues to participate in Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" series along with her own show, "I Dream of NeNe," which will air a wedding spinoff this fall.

There's no word yet on which episodes of "Glee" Season 5 Leakes will appear in. The show's first two episodes back will feature a Beatles tribute, while episode three will deal with the death of star Cory Monteith and will serve to write his character, Finn Hudson, out of the series. Fox president Kevin Reilly told reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour that "the episode will deal directly with the incidents involved in Cory’s passing and the drug abuse in particular. Ryan [Murphy] himself is going to shoot some PSAs with the cast, in which -- as cast members, as friends of Cory’s -- they’re going to speak directly to the audience. I think they’re going to be very, very impactful."

In the wake of Monteith's death, Fox pushed the premiere of "Glee" back a week to Thursday, Sept. 26. Reilly described the Beatles episodes as very "celebratory," pointing out, "It's a little difficult to come out of the gate right away then have to recover. We'll have the Cory episode, then we'll go on hiatus for three weeks for the World Series, and that gives us a natural break to reset."

Are you looking forward to Leakes' return to "Glee"? Weigh in below!

"Parenthood" has cast Matthew Atkinson for a multi-episode arc in Season 5, according to TVLine.

Atkinson, who previously starred on ABC Family's "Jane By Design," will play Zach -- a drummer in the same band as All American Rejects' Tyson Ritter. According to TVLine, he'll bond with Mae Whitman's Amber while the band is recording at the Luncheonette. Will he cause a rift between Amber and her ex-soldier boyfriend Ryan (Matt Lauria)? We'll have to tune in to find out.

The rest of the Braverman clan will have their own challenges in Season 5: Josh Stamberg will play Carl, "a charming and fun new addition in Sarah's [Lauren Graham] building," while Drew (Miles Heizer) will be become friends with occasional benefits with "90210's" Lyndon Smith.

Meanwhile, "Lost's" Sonya Walger will play a "sexy, confident fireball of an architect" working with Joel (Sam Jaeger), and "The Office's" David Denman will get to know Julia (Erika Christensen) as Ed, a stay-at-home dad who ends up at the same volunteer group as Julia at their kids' school. Jurnee Smollett-Bell will also appear as a new campaign manager for Kristina (Monica Potter).

Heather Wagner: Affairs, Threesomes And 'Aminosity'

Note: Do not read on if you have not yet seen Season 8, Episode 19 of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Orange County," titled "Reunion Part 1."

"Just when I thought I was out ... they pull me back in." -- Michael Corleone, "The Godfather Part III"

Oh, so you thought we were done, dear readers? You thought you'd seen enough "bullying" accusations and one-off record deals and Mexican strippers and mangled metaphors? So did I. But I woke up this morning with a buzzy, anticipatory sensation mixed with a feeling of deep dread -- no doubt the flavor profile of Vicki's Vodka. Because today is part one of the "Epic Three-Part Real Housewives of Orange County Reunion."

Let's see how Andy and Co. manage to drag out the drama, until we're all weary and exhausted; confused and spent, much like the end of "The Godfather Part III."

We open on a typically lavish set. I don't know if anyone caught this, but last Thursday, Bravo re-ran the pilot season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" and I was astounded at how good-natured and naturalistic that first season was. Sweet, even! And at the first season reunion, we saw no screaming or walk-offs, or dubious product endorsements -- it was just five women in normal mom-outfits, discussing their experiences on the show.

How times have changed...

Tonight the girls are all seated on a creamy white couch, clad in a palette of bold citrus and ocean blue jewel tones. Andy says hi to everyone, amicably. Vicki announces that she and Donn are still not divorced, and Tamra interjects that "they're going to get back together."

Vicki reveals that once she signs the papers she'll have to give spousal support, so that's why they're still technically married. Ah, love.

We are then treated to a needless flashback of the Tamra and Vicki alliance/Vicki pees-on-the-bed incident in Mexico. Andy asks Tamra if she trusts Gretchen, and Tamra replies with a flat-out, "No."

Gretchen waffles a response, saying that she's "sad" about her cruel treatment by the cast. Then, she brings up a valid point about Vicki constantly trying to create animosity ("am-in-osity," in her verbiage) between her and Tamra.

"You're saying one thing, and doing another on camera," Gretchen says to Vicki, in a stunning bit of behind-the-scenes intel.

Finally we inch towards the accusation of Vicki allegedly "Banging twelve guys." Apparently, only the conspicuously absent Lauri has the key to this house of horrors, and the matter is unsatisfyingly dropped.

The conversation is gently guided back to the paramount issues of Trust and Friendship, of which there seems to be nil in this crowd. Tamra digs up old graves and alleges that Gretchen was "Sitting on a guy's lap at the St. Regis with your engagement ring in your pocket" while her fiancée Jeff was in the hospital dying of cancer, which Gretchen halfheartedly deflects.

You guys, I need some prosecco and parmesan-flavored Goldfish crackers.

OK!

Gretchen calls the St. Regis rendezvous "ludicrous," then goes on to explain, "I didn't say I didn't kiss him, I just didn't kiss him at that party." And, in her defense, she only kissed this mystery guy on New Year's Eve, an occasion where she also kissed "twelve guys." Like the twelve guys Vicki supposedly "banged"? Hm.

Then, Alexis pipes up, saying that she saw Gretchen sitting on this same dude's lap "on a boat."

Tamra brings out photos (obscured to us viewers) and alludes to Gretchen's "tongue down his throat with her engagement ring on."

Andy wonders why, with all this clear animosity, Tamra broached a friendship with Gretchen in the first place.

Before we get to that, it is revealed that Vicki texted Tamra, calling Gretchen a c---. Vicki denies it, saying that is not a "Vicki word". She's a friend and a businesswoman and doesn't roll like that. She then refers to Gretchen as a fellow businesswoman, with air quotes.

Vicki says that Gretchen "doesn't own the truth." She and Tamra both start screaming and it all comes back to the fact that Gretchen cheated on Jeff (RIP) and never owned up to it.

Gretchen won't budge on this allegation and screams that she and the lap-sitting, tongue-kissing recipient of her affections are just "Friends-ah!"

Commercial break, thank God.

Note: Goldfish crackers and prosecco are a really good combo.

And we're back.

There's a montage of Slade being a "Douche-lord" and saying disparaging things to Lydia. Lydia says she just likes to "think out loud and talk." She says she's not trying to stir the pot, but just aspires to be "authentic." I tend to believe this.

Alexis interjects again, saying that she feels hurt, and that she believes she and Lydia had a real friendship, one that Lydia downplayed to the rest of the cast.

We segue away from this with a viewer question from "Colton," who wonders why Heather was not given the cover of Lydia's magazine, "Beverly Hills Lifestyle."

Lydia says they had a different cover in mind: "Heather Dubrow or Marilyn Monroe?" she poses.

"But why would you put Lisa Vanderpump on the magazine cover but not Heather?" Andy asks, faux-innocently.

Lydia then retorts, "Look on IMDB, she's higher rated."

"Why did you have no problem dancing on the bar but had a problem with strippers?" Andy presses.

Lydia explains the vague moral differences between the two behaviors and pivots towards the fact that Heather was vicious and mean-spirited on her blog.

"I'm said I'm sorry, do you want me to pop a vein?" Heather blurts out, and everyone laughs. Point Heather.

At long last, the nefarious/glamorous semi-cast-member Lauri enters the set. Andy mentions that Lauri seemed very soft-spoken during the first few years of filming, but that this season, she's come back "with a roar."

We see some Season 1 flashbacks of Lauri working for Vicki, then flash-forward to Lauri as town-crier re: Vicki's loverboy Brooks' penchant for porn stars, and that Vicki was in bed with a man and another woman in New Orleans.

We get another flashback of Vicki screaming "YOU ARE A PIECE OF TRASH ... I'M SO MAD!" echoing off the Whistler mountain range one last time, and it is glorious.

Apparently the root of this conflict was a letter Vicki received from Lauri's husband George's ex-mother-in-law (I know, try to keep up) that revealed some unseemly family secrets, which Vicki spread around town.

Vicki apologizes. Lauri says, "To have his name trashed like that is just wrong."

Now is the part where everyone talks at once, as Andy says, "Everyone is talking at once."

Vicki breaks through the clutter, admitting, "I betrayed her, but she went out on public TV to defame me."

I must admit I love the use of the phrase "Public TV" -- it just sounds like Public Access where you watch terrible bands and/or sad motivational speakers at 3 a.m.

Vicki then confronts Lauri: "We're all famous, and you can't stand not being in the fame." True.

Alexis, God bless her, interjects: "Vicki may be a wack-a-doodle, but I can't see her having multiple sex." I kind of (hopefully) agree!

Flashback to Tamra saying Vicki woke up naked in Cabo.

"She won't admit it, I did!" Vicki screams, pointing at Gretchen.

And we finally close with Vicki accusing Lauri of cheating on her husband, George.

This basically all comes down to a few factors: hypocrisy and fame-whoring. And everyone to some extent on this (or any) cast is guilty of these very America-circa-2013 crimes. But some transgressions (Gretchen flirting about while her husband languished with inoperable cancer) are deemed more damning than others (Vicki's maybe/maybe not three-way or twelve-way or whatever). The point is, nobody is innocent, and everyone makes mistakes, and as much as we'd like our lives to be cleanly edited with no screw-ups or poor choices, these women's lives are edited to heighten their every misstep and make everything as "dramatic" as possible. So we as a viewership can "Watch What Happens" and feel superior. But doesn't it make you also feel a bit sad? Like watching underfed rhinos at the zoo, grazing away, their existence solely for our amusement.

That said -- those rhinos don't get endorsement deals and per-episode paydays, so go for it, girls!

Next time -- Gretchen and Tamra have a showdown. Heather and Alexis go at it. Everyone thinks Gretchen and Slade's "proposal" was a total sham! Let's get into it, and hope we emerge out of it as better, more enlightened people. Pass the prosecco, please.

Part two of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" reunion airs next Monday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Who Is Ziva's Successor On 'NCIS'?

While fans are still mourning Cote de Pablo's exit from "NCIS," the producers are reportedly looking ahead and trying to cast a new actress as Ziva's full-time successor on the team.

CBS confirms that casting is underway for a twentysomething female character named Bishop, who is described as "bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused and somewhat socially awkward. She has a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism. She’s traveled extensively, but only feels comfortable at home.” The character's start date is reportedly listed as mid-October, meaning a likely January or February debut on air. TVLine was first to report the casting breakdown.

Executive producer Gary Glasberg told TVLine that before Bishop arrives, "NCIS" will “rotate some fun people” through the offices: "We’re going to bring in people like that and have some fun with different characters. And then, hopefully, when people are comfortable enough, one will walk in and be The One.”

Although Ziva's exit will likely be painful for loyal viewers, fans can rest assured that the character won't be killed off in her final two episodes, and that there will be a resolution to her on again/off again romance with Michael Weatherly's Tony. "The will they/won't they is answered," Weatherly recently told TV Guide, adding, "Tony's going to be forced to face this Sword of Damocles that's been hanging over him since Season 3."
