'The Wanted Life': Fans Get To Party With The Band

$

Some fans got a pretty exciting prize on "The Wanted Life." The band invited some of their most loyal devotees back to their house for a party. It was a way to show gratitude for their support. For one fan, though, that wasn't all. She won an additional prize at random.

Her prize was known as Seven Minutes in Heaven. She got to spend that long with her favorite member of the band. The fan chose Jay McGuiness.

It didn't turn out quite as she might have expected, though.

“I get to leave my hat on, right?" Jay could be heard saying before it was revealed what was going on. "You wan to help me out? You’re gonna have to give me encouragement.”

It turns out Jay was on a treadmill while the fan was coaching him to push himself to the limit. The show's home network said that things got "hot and heavy" between the two. They must have been referring to the fact that Jay was sweating.

See what unorthodox things the band members get up to next on "The Wanted Life," Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on E!

Kim Kardashian's Pregnancy Nightmare

Kim Kardashian's health and baby seemed in jeopardy on Sunday's episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," but her surprise Saturday delivery of her and Kanye West's first child provided a very happy ending to her doctor drama.

The reality star was rushed from a flight straight to her doctor, saying that she'd "never experienced pain like this in her life." The episode offered a behind-the-scenes look at her personal anxieties and fears for what has been a very public pregnancy.

She was joined by her mother, Kris Jenner, at the doctor's office as she sobbed on the examination table due to the agony, vowing that she would "never do this again." The family worried that her pain was because of appendicitis and that she would have to undergo a risky surgery, but fortunately it was simply a stomach infection. Kim's fever caused more anxiety about the health of her child, but the doctor was able to find a heartbeat and all was well.

Baby Kimye was born on Saturday, about five weeks early, and the Kardashians have been uncharacteristically quiet about the details of the birth and the baby. Sister Khloe Kardashian tweeted her joy at becoming an aunt again, saying simply "I can not even begin 2describe the miracle that is now apart of our family. Mommy/baby are healthy &resting. We appreciate all of the love." Kris Jenner tweeted, "HAPPY FATHERS DAY @kanyewest !!!!!!"

Now the real question is, what is the baby girl's name? Unsurprisingly, it apparently begins with a "K."

'Rock 'N' Roll Will Never Die'

MANCHESTER, Tenn. -- Memories are a jumble walking out of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Days blend together, sound memories clash and surface. Hipster moustaches made from pink glow sticks haunt your dreams. And that smell. The horror.

A few things really stuck out this year, though, as we reviewed things following Tom Petty's rain-drenched, festival-closing 2 1/2-hour set. Here's a look at five:

Rock `n' roll will never die: Those who think rock `n' roll is irrelevant or even dead need to pay a visit to the farm. It may be showing its age – eternally rocking Paul McCartney and Petty and The Heartbreakers were the two most prominent headliners – and electronica and hip-hop are elbowing their way in – witness start turns by Macklemore, Kendrick Lewis and A$AP Rocky, who brought more than 20,000 fans to a tent designed to hold 5,000. But it's really still rock `n' roo.

Just ask Derek Vincent Smith, the DJ who performs as Pretty Lights. Smith had one of the most anticipated and well-attended events of the weekend early Saturday morning, spinning tunes for tens of thousands of wild, scantily clad and costumed revelers until nearly 4 a.m. He saw something interesting as he worked his way through his set, however.

"From my perspective, I really noticed a massive response to my classic rock remixes," Smith said. "So Bonnaroo hasn't changed too much, you know what I mean? My Pink Floyd remix, my Led Zeppelin remix, my Steve Miller Band, stuff like that, people went crazy. I wasn't initially planning on venturing into that territory, but I was trying to read the vibes."

Smith decided to spend parts of three days in middle Tennessee checking out the festival. He said it's been one of his best experiences.

"Everyone's there," Smith said. "It's not Coachella where everybody leaves and they go to their condo or whatever. Everyone's out there sweating, getting smelly together. Even with the electronica and hip-hop and all that really becoming a big part of it, it's always going to be a hippy festival in the end. That's awesome."

Macklemore is for real: Think the popularity of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis is just a fad built on a novelty song? You should have seen their show Sunday at Bonnaroo. Filled with humor, non-stop energy and the duo's recent hits, including "Thrift Shop," the show was something of a revelation.

"I like Mack," Lamar said as Lewis' bass rattled the walls of his backstage trailer. "I've hung with him a few times. Cool dude, man. He's taking over."

And that's just what he was doing outside. In a soon-to-be-classic YouTube moment, Macklemore saw a fan in the crowd sporting a spotted fur coat similar to the one the Seattle rapper features in the "Thrift Shop" video.

"Can you take off that fur jacket and crowd surf it up here and let me take a look at it?" Macklemore said. The fan sent the coat toward the stage and security tossed it up to the rapper: "You know, this doesn't smell as bad as I thought it would. It smells like weed and malt liquor."

He put the coat on and sent the crowd of 40,000-plus at the main stage into a frenzy with the help of a live horn section as he launched into "Thrift Shop," the group's breakthrough hit that's launched a six-month run to pop stardom. Even a pop-up thunderstorm couldn't slow things down and Macklemore wrapped it up by crowd surfing.

HAIM is next: HAIM already had a little buzz rolling into Bonnaroo after time spent on the road with Mumford & Sons and anticipation for the sister act's debut album building. Their well-attended Thursday afternoon set should add to the clamor building around Este, Alana and Danielle Haim.

On their previous EP releases, the band came across as more a girl group with complex harmonies and a hip-hop influenced sound. On stage, though, they're something very different. All three play instruments, have the ability to rock as they showed on a Fleetwood Mac jam and finished off their set with a rousing drum circle that fans were talking about a day later.

The best moment, though, had nothing to do with music. Este Haim shut the group down about midway through the set and pointed at a sign in the crowd: "There's a little boy holding a sign that says, `Kiss me, Este."

And she did, bringing the toddler who wore a large yellow noise-blocking headset onstage where she and her sisters posed for a picture with him.

"I'm engaged now," Este Haim said.

Two by two: Jack White and The Black Keys have mostly moved on from that two-man band thing, but a wave of guitar-and-drums duos continues to roll through rock `n' roll. At least four were on display at Bonnaroo – Japandroids, JEFF the Brotherhood, Deap Vally and Beach House.

Vancouver, British Columbia-based Brian King and Dave Prowse of Japandroids turned in one of the festival's most raucous performances Thursday, and they did it with just two guys bashing away. King plays guitar and sings most of the songs and Prowse plays drums.

"There's a lot of positives and negatives to it," King said after the set. "Like there's no third, fourth or fifth person to break a tie. It's more like a relationship. You have to find some kind of middle ground to make it work or it doesn't work."

King said bands such as White's White Stripes and the Keys – both nominated for album of the year at last year's Grammy Awards – showed young rockers the possibilities by making music more accessible.

"If you have a close friend who's fun to jam with, then you can do it too," King said. "That's it."

Inspiration comes from everywhere: Members of Alaska-via-Portland rockers Portugal. The Man played on the festival's second largest stage a week after their new Danger Mouse-produced album "Evil Friends" hit the streets, raising their profile as high as it's been.

But they were more stoked about the strange guy who came out and made a crazy appearance on the accordion during the band's set Saturday. That guy was Weird Al Yankovic, the timeless rock `n' roll jester.

Turns out Yankovic, in all seriousness, was a huge influence for John Gourley. The lead singer said when he and his bandmates first made their Myspace page, it listed Yankovic as their only influence.

"He really is," Gourley said. "He introduced us to music. Weird Al was something that kids would listen to. It's funny, super funny, smart. It's just kind of jokey. I remember hearing `Smells Like Nirvana' before hearing `Smells Like Teen Spirit.' That's how it really worked. I think it's just such a cool thing how he introduced us to so many cool bands. Even Queen – `Another One Rides the Bus.'"

Incredible First Look At 'Wolf Of Wall Street'

$

Kanye West's "Yeezus" hasn't even had its official release yet (that's set for June 18), but one of the new album's tracks already accompanies the images of an upcoming movie: "Black Skinhead," meet Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street."

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio in full posse mode, Scorsese's new film is based on Jordan Belfort's memoir about Wall Street excess gone Gatsby. (DiCaprio-as-Belfort throws a lobster at an FBI agent, played by Kyle Chandler.) In real life, Belfort founded the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont (the inspiration for "Boiler Room"), and later wound up serving 22 months in prison after being indicted on securities fraud and money laundering charges. In "The Wolf Of Wall Street," that likely happens too, but then there's also the scene where Matthew McConaughey tries to say fugazi right. So, the film is not necessarily a downer.

Then there's "Black Skinhead," with its driving, Marilyn Manson-y drums and Radiohead-y guitars. Points to the Paramount marketing team for getting on the Kanye train now; whether the next trailer will feature Jay-Z is, of course, unknown.

"Wolf of Wall Street" is out in theaters on Nov. 15. Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin and Margot Robbie all co-star. Cheers.

Mumford Bass Player Thanks Fans After Brain Surgery

Mumford & Sons' bassist Ted Dwane underwent surgery this week and is thanking fans for their support.

The musician received surgery to remove a blood clot from the surface of his brain. Dwane's emergency procedure prompted the band to cancel some major shows, including a scheduled headlining performance at Bonnaroo.

Dwane took to the band's official website on Monday to thank fans and to post a picture of himself post-surgery. "Bear with a sore head!" the message reads. "Thanks so much for all the well wishing, it seems to be working! I’m home."

Mumford & Sons first broke the news of Dwane's condition last week, when a message was posted to the band's website. "Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment," the note read. "The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation. Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery."

Days later, the band gave an update on Dwane's surgery, taking a light-hearted approach to his condition. "It is with great joy that we can announce that Ted has been discharged from hospital and is on the road to a full recovery," the band wrote. "The surgery went well, and the excellent medical team helping him are very pleased with his progress. He has been nothing short of heroic in how he has handled the whole ordeal, and now it has been medically proved that he does indeed have a brain."

While Mumford & Sons plan to reschedule the canceled shows, the band has yet to announce new dates.

What Rihanna Has Never Done -- Until Now

Buoyed by a music video in which the singer emotes in a bathtub, Rihanna's "Stay" has led her where she has never gone before. Billboard reports that the song has jumped into the Top 10 on its Adult Contemporary chart, landing at No. 9.

That's a first for Rihanna, who has never cracked the AC Top 10, despite holding a breathtaking number of records on Billboard's most illustrious chart, the Pop Hot 100. "Stay," which features Mikky Ekko, earned her tenth No. 1 on that chart, a record. She also holds the top spot in terms of number of Top 10 appearances on the Hot 100 (23) and has also just appeared on the Hot 100 more time than any other artist (36).

While chart talk is often too nuanced to have much meaning, the Adult Contemporary boost could be significant, as AC listeners have more spending money than Rihanna's pop audience, which tends to skew younger. AC hits also last longer, so while a song like "Stay" is already falling off pop radio, gaining in the AC demographic can only help sustain the song's relevance.

Billboard has a nice rundown of how Rihanna's following in the footsteps of Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Miley Cyrus in moving from a strictly pop audience to being accepted in the AC market -- a development which made Madonna's "Holiday" a seminal hit.

Rihanna is in the middle of her Diamonds World Tour, a massive jaunt across the globe which not only has her playing some of the world's biggest venues but also affords her the chance to hobnob and create Instagram worthy moments with designers. It also put her in this big ol' tub. The singer also contributed a verse and a hook to Wale's remix of "Bad," offering Rihanna a chance to do a bit of rapping as well.

While some stars may worry about keeping their limbs nimble, 59-year-old swimsuit model Christie Brinkley is far more concerned about the state of her facial muscles. And when the supermodel reunited with fellow legend Brooke Shields last week, both ladies proved they're as agile as ever when it comes to face gymnastics.

Christie and Brooke met up at the Park Avenue Garage spring sale, and Brinkley commemorated their reunion with a picture on her Facebook page. The two models took the photo op as a chance to recreate their legendary expressions from a premiere party back in 1987:

Hey Bloggers! Reprising our famous pose from over 30 years ago... Yep we still got it ! Lets see if You can still move YOUR face muscles like this? Lol!!!!!

They've still got it, indeed. Compare expressions then and now, and realize that supermodels, like fine wine, only get better with age.

Olivia Munn is a rare combination of brains, beauty and humor, that we know. But what we were surprised to find out is the lengths she'd go to to make herself feel safe.

Munn, 32, answered Marie Claire magazine's personal questionnaire (which will appear in their July issue) and revealed some very interesting tidbits about her life.

For instance, when asked what one would find on her nightstand, the gorgeous actress replied "Melatonin; The Singularity Is Near by Ray Kurzweil; strawberry lip balm; a 980,000-volt stun gun for protection; Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Cream."

Wait, what? A stun gun?

Munn, whose HBO show "The Newsroom" returns July 14, also talks to the magazine about her anxiety disorder -- a condition she opened up about last year. "It's manifested in trichotillomania, a disorder that gives me the urge to pull out my eyelashes," she says.

For more on Munn, head over to MarieClaire.com, or pick up the magazine's July issue.

I hear he has everything he could want now. I don’t want my name to be synonymous with that guy’s name. I really don’t. I wish we could sit down just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man. But that’s not going to happen. I’m not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I’m not going to back down. If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly…Like, it gets really dark.

Bethenny Frankel is one hot mama.

The 42-year-old powerhouse and mother of one turned up the heat in New York yesterday when she showed up to the 40/40 club's 10-year anniversary party in a tiny metallic skirt.

Frankel looked stunning, pairing her scene-stealing skirt with a simple top, a statement necklace, fringed sandals and a shimmery clutch. Judging by her smile, we'd say Bethenny knows exactly how many heads she turned.

The reality star, whose talk show "Bethenny" is set to premiere September 9, has been very open in recent months about her divorce from Jason Hoppy and about the struggles (and rewards) of being a single mom to her daughter Bryn, 3.

In an emotional interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Frankel said the split made her "feel like a failure," but if this look is any indication, we'd say Frankel's stock is definitely on its way up.

Kate Upton Skips The Makeup In NYC

We're used to seeing Kate Upton with a full face of makeup and not much else, but she decided to switch things up while in New York City.

On Monday, photographers spotted the 21-year-old while she was walking about and it appeared as though she decided to skip the makeup -- and she clearly doesn't need it either. The fresh-faced model completed her casual look by covering up her trademark curves in a loose-fitting gray shirt and pink skinny jeans.

The look was a far cry from the last time we saw Upton, a few days earlier, when she was in the Hamptons shooting for her upcoming film "The Other Woman," wearing -- what else -- a tiny white bikini.
