Matt Damon Almost Appeared In 'Bridesmaids'

There's a version of "Bridesmaids" that could have featured Matt Damon.

That's the word from director Paul Feig, who spoke at the National Association of Broadcasters trade show in Las Vegas this week about the blockbuster 2011 comedy.

“There was a sequence that Kristen [Wiig] and Annie [Mumolo] had written, which was funny, but it [involved] trying on the dresses, and then Kristen's character had this fantasy about what would she would do in this dress," Feig said (via Variety). "It was really funny, but it was crazy: It was about running through the woods and suddenly Matt Damon shows up."

Feig ultimately decided that the scene was too bizarre for the film, so he and producer Judd Apatow discussed a solution: giving the lead characters a case of food poisoning that results in explosive diarrhea.

"I was a proponent that we needed to tear down the house –- that people want to laugh big," Apatow said about the scene in a 2011 New York Times interview. "I like the sequence because it’s really about the shame that you took everybody to a terrible restaurant because you’re poor, and that’s why I think it works. But it is the biggest laugh I’ve ever seen in a movie, and people are so happy to be able to experience that."

For more about the making of "Bridesmaids" from Feig, head to Variety.

Huge Pilot Shakeup At NBC

"Smash" may be yesterday's news, but its former stars Megan Hilty and Sean Hayes are still working together. TVLine was the first to report that Hilty will replace Lindsay Sloane on Hayes' new NBC series "Sean Saves The World." The actress will now play Liz, Hayes' character's co-worker and best friend.

On "Smash's" second and final season, Hilty and Hayes' characters worked together on a Broadway version of "Dangerous Liaisons."

Both actors tweeted their excitement about reuniting.

In other NBC pilot news, the "Chicago Fire" spinoff "Chicago PD" lost its lead Melissa Sagemiller this week, according to TVLine, but the midseason drama is reportedly eyeing "Mob Doctor" actor Jesse Lee Soffer for a series regular role.

Fore more on Hilty and Sagemiller, click over to TVLine.

"Sean Saves The World" will air on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC this fall, while "Chicago PD" will air midseason.

Pelosi, Others Serenade Longest-Serving Congress Member

WASHINGTON — A Capitol ceremony honoring Rep. John Dingell for becoming Congress's longest-serving member in history featured the expected, such as praise and jokes from Vice President Joe Biden and House Speaker John Boehner. It included the unexpected – a pointed pitch to a roomful of congressional leaders and lawmakers by Cardinal Theodore McCarrick for controversial immigration legislation.

Yet it was hard to top a performance by singer Mary Wilson backed up by a vaguely synchronized chorus line that included House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and the actress Lynda Carter.

Wilson, an original member of The Supremes, a marque 1960s group of Detroit-based Motown Records, sang a brief set of songs climaxed with their upbeat hit "Stop in the Name of Love." Pelosi, Sebelius and Carter – along with Dingell's wife, Deborah, and Rep. Donna Edwards, D-Calif. – formed an unlikely dance line behind her, singing and flashing their hands in the classic "stop" signal familiar to generations of partygoers dancing to the tune.

The 45-minute ceremony was aimed at honoring Dingell, who has served 57 1/2 years in the House. The crowd of current and past lawmakers, lobbyist and others and included former Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, once an Illinois congressman and colleague of Dingell's.

Dingell, an 86-year-old Michigan Democrat who walks gingerly with a cane, called himself "probably the luckiest man in shoe leather" for his family, friends and career. But he lectured his colleagues about toning down the partisan conflict that often dominates Congress.

"We have too much ill will, too much hatred, too much bitterness, too much anger," he said. He said the word "Congress" means a coming together of people to work together on resolving important issues and added, "We have, I think unfortunately because of the pressures and the times, forgotten this."

With around 400 people gathered in Statuary Hall – the Capitol's original House chamber – Boehner, R-Ohio, said Dingell's legacy will be "working your butt off." In his toast, he called Dingell "a true man of the House."

Biden lampooned his own reputation for long-windedness, warning the audience as he began, "You all should sit." A long-time Senate veteran, Biden lauded Dingell for helping his constituents and ended by saying, "Love you, old buddy."

McCarrick delivered a blessing of Dingell that noted the ethnic diversity of his congressional district and touched on immigration, an issue the Senate is debating and is one of President Barack Obama's top priorities.

"Hopefully, that's why these houses are considering immigration legislation," McCarrick said. "I thought I'd just mention that because I know you want it to happen, too. And we hope that the same kind of strength and devotion to the stranger will be in his heart and the hearts of those who share his responsibility."

Suri Cruise:

At only 6 years old, Tom and Katie's little girl got to miss a few days of school to spend some time with her famous dad in Paris. To make their time together extra memorable, Cruise sent a private jet -- a reported Gulfstream IV, no less -- to pick up his girl from New York.

Jaden Smith:

Jaden may be only 14, but he's already a bona fide movie star. What does a teenager do with the hefty allowance from a big budget film? "There was a time in my life when I'd go to Cartier, like, every weekend for like a month," Jaden explained to New York magazine when asked where he spends his dough. But of course.

Blue Ivy Carter:

When Jay-Z and Beyonce's little princess turned 1, her famous parents spared no expense. The two reportedly dropped over $200,000 on her birthday celebrations: $80,000 on a custom-made diamond-encrusted Barbie doll, an additional $95,000 on roses, $30,000 on costumes, jewelry, and toys for baby Blue Ivy's friends and their parents, and a $2,400 cake.

Louis Bullock:

We can't decide if his Oscar-winning mom is spoiled herself, or if she's spoiling her little boy. Either way, when Louis was just a baby, Bullock was spotted toting around a $1,000 monogrammed Louis Vuitton diaper bag.

Kingston Rossdale:

This might be appropriate for rock royalty, but we're still amazed: For his 4th birthday, Kingston's famous folks -- Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale -- spent a reported $15,000. That bought their precious boy (and his guests) plenty of food, a fancy cake, a cotton candy machine, a lemonade stand, a bouncy castle, a face painter, a balloon artist, and roaming super hero characters.

Max & Emme Muniz:

Jennifer Lopez's twins definitely got the diva treatment. From the moment they were born, the two had an entire wing of J. Lo and Marc Anthony's house for themselves, as well as 600-thread-count Egyptian cotton crib linens, diamond-encrusted rattles, and a Shetland pony each.

Before baby girl Harper joined the gang, Victoria and David Beckham reportedly bought their three sons a $50,000 designer treehouse, after spoiling them with a $187,000 playhouse. No big deal.

PHOTOS: The Strangest Thing In Paris' Home

Paris Hilton's Beverly Hills home was one of many celebrity abodes that were broken into by a group known as "The Bling Ring." With a new movie out about the burglaries, in which Hilton's home makes a cameo, the heiress opened her doors to Elle magazine -- and the place is exactly how you would expect it to look.

The most standout feature, from what we can see, are the pillows splashed with Hilton's face. While we think most people would say it's a bit, er, much, director Sofia Coppola says the girl's got style. "I saw the pillows adorned with [Paris'] face and I took my picture with them. She's such a pop icon and has a sense of humor about herself. I think she was the first to really make herself into a brand. She's so dedicated to her style."

And as far as those nasty burglars go, Hilton only has a few things to tell them. "There's much more to life than all of these possessions and everything. And if you want those things, you're going to have to work yourself, just like I did."

Scroll through to see some images of Hilton's home, and be sure to head over to Elle magazine for more information.

LeAnn Rimes Opens Up About Marriage

0

Once a cheater, always a cheater?

Not so, according to LeAnn Rimes. In an appearance on The Wendy Williams show Wednesday, the songstress said that -- despite her marriage's unconventional start -- she completely trusts her husband, Eddie Cibrian.

"I think people think we wouldn't have [trust] with each other, but maybe because of the way we met and how honest we've had to be -- he's always been very open and honest about his past or anything that's gone on -- I do, I truly, truly, do [trust him]," she said. "I've never actually had this kind of trust with anyone."

Rimes and Cibrian met and began an affair on the set of the 2009 Lifetime movie "Northern Lights." They divorced their respective spouses amid revelations of their infidelity, and tied the knot in 2011.

Though their relationship has become a tabloid fixture, Rimes said that she and Cibrian are "happy."

"We are happy and there's a great love there, there's a great respect and that's a good thing," she told Williams.

To hear more from Rimes, including how she's handling drama with Cibrian's ex-wife Brandi Glanville, watch the full video above. Then, click through the slideshow below to see more Hollywood affairs that started on set.

PHOTOS: Look Who's Listing

Actress Jodie Foster is trying to shed some real estate skin with the listing of her longtime Los Angeles home. Foster just listed her Hollywood Hills property for $6.399 million, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The 1935 Spanish Villa has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and two half-baths. It spans about 6,000 square feet of living space and surrounds the property's central courtyard. The grounds span about .29 acres of land and also include a pool, spa and detached guest house.

Inside the main home, there are cathedral ceilings, a gourmet kitchen and a massive screening room. And because this is a celebrity property, the entrance is discrete and gated. The official listing calls the home a "refuge" for homeowners who want "the ultimate in privacy, security and style."

Foster first bought the home in 1997 and updated part of it, reports the Wall Street Journal. Before Foster, model/actress Cheryl Tiegs owned it.

In "Elysium," her latest movie, actress Jodie Foster plays a a character who represents the richest .01 percent of society. The futuristic film depicts Earth as a vast wasteland and people like Foster's character live up in the sky, safely ensconced in a luxury space station called Elysium.

Foster, 50, has been acting since she was three years old and has a respected career as a director and producer as well. Her films "The Silence Of The Lambs" (1991) and "The Accused" (1998) have landed her two Oscar awards for Best Actress.

Sir Paul's Big Night

MANCHESTER, Tennessee -- Even a former Beatle needs a moment standing on the main stage at Bonnaroo.

A few songs into his transcendent first set at the massive Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Paul McCartney wrapped his arms around his signature Hofner bass and surveyed a crowd of 80,000 adoring fans.

"Hey, listen, I'm going to take a moment just to drink all this in for myself," McCartney said.

McCartney is one of the world's most recognizable musicians and showed why as he led a massive 2 1/2-hour sing-a-long of three dozen songs that included two encores Friday night.

Playing for a crowd consisting mostly of fans who were born a decade or more after the Beatles broke up in 1971, he lavishly revisited the Beatles, Wings and his own solo catalog, laying down hit after hit and playing two Beatles cuts he only recently began playing live for the first time – "Lovely Rita" and "Mr. Mustard."

McCartney, who turns 71 next week, acknowledged some cultural similarities between the generations, however.

"That's some pretty good weed I can smell," McCartney said as wispy puffs of smoke rose from hundreds of spots in the crowd. "What are you doing to me?"

McCartney took the time to talk about several songs, explaining his Beatles classic "Blackbird" was written about the civil rights struggle in Arkansas.

He noted songs he wrote for his wives over the years, took a moment to express support for incarcerated Russian punk rock band Pussy Riot after playing "Back in the USSR" and told a humorous story about Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.

He also paid tribute to late Beatles members John Lennon and George Harrison. Drummer Ringo Starr and McCartney are the only surviving members of the genre-defining British rock band.

McCartney kicked off Harrison's biggest hit "Something" on the ukulele, playing in an unfamiliar time signature that gave the song new meaning, before strapping on a guitar to finish the song. And he played "Here Today" for his old songwriting partner Lennon, a song he wrote after Lennon was shot to death in 1980.

McCartney warned members of the crowd to never hold back their feelings, as he did with Lennon after the group broke up.

"That's it," McCartney said after finishing the song on a baby grand piano. "If you wait to tell someone you love them, it's too late."

The set only seemed to pick up speed as the night edged toward midnight. With the crowd yet to diminish, he played "Live and Let Die" accented by onstage pyrotechnics and fireworks.

The entire crowd joined in on "Hey, Jude" before McCartney and his four-piece band left the stage. He returned waving a Tennessee state flag and played a three-song encore that included "Day Tripper" and "Get Back."

He returned for a second encore that included a rollicking version of "Helter Skelter." A member of the crowd tossed McCartney a stuffed toy walrus, alluding to a cryptic nickname given to him by Lennon, and McCartney concluded his first show at Bonnaroo by singing "Carry That Weight" to the toy he placed atop his piano.

NEW YORK — Beyonce has settled a New York City lawsuit that said she didn't play fair in a deal for a video game structured around her.

Court records show the case was closed Friday after the Grammy Award-winning singer and Gate Five LLC agreed to drop it.

A lawyer for Gate Five says the terms are confidential. A lawyer for Beyonce hasn't returned a call seeking comment.

Gate Five had said Beyonce made a lucrative deal for a game called "Starpower: Beyonce," then demanded a new agreement and abandoned the project. The company says it lost its nearly $7 million investment and 70 people lost their jobs.

Beyonce's lawyers had said she was within her rights to get out of the deal because Gate Five didn't have needed financing.

LOOK: Farrah Abraham Flaunts Her New D-Cup

The ever-overexposed Farrah Abraham showed off her most recent boob job Friday at the Sapphire Pool & Day Club in Las Vegas, and had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction in the process.

Abraham suffered a tiny nip slip in her blue, sequined bikini while posing for photos on the red carpet, E! News notes. The former "Teen Mom" star and host of Friday's event eventually realized the error and readjusted to cover up.

On May 31, she went under the knife to boost her cup size from a C to a D. This is the 22-year-old's fourth plastic surgery procedure in less than three years and her second boob job, according to InTouch magazine. The porn star, who has already spent $30,000 on surgeries, hasn't ruled out getting more done in the future.

“There’s definitely some pain, but that’s expected,” she told InTouch. “What if I have a freak accident and I need something fixed, or if age gets to me, or I have more children and want a ‘mommy makeover’?”

Abraham first debuted the boob job on June 13 while hosting a pole dancing competition in Paterson, N.J., according to Us Weekly. When she had her original surgery back in 2011, she told the magazine she got implants because her breasts shrunk after she gave birth to her daughter and she didn't feel "woman enough" anymore.

Being a queen is officially the best job ever. Not only do you get to wear sparkling crowns and gorgeous gowns, you get to celebrate your birthday twice -- and with a 41-gun salute.

Saturday's annual Trooping the Colour parade honored Queen Elizabeth's 87th birthday (which actually happened back on April 21). The ceremony, originally a way to prepare for battle, now serves as a traditional way to honor the monarch's birthday with regal bombast.

While the birthday girl Queen wore a gorgeous Angela Kelly coat, we couldn't take our eyes off our favorite duchess, Kate Middleton, at what will likely be her last public appearance before taking maternity leave.

Far more subdued in comparison to Thursday's leopard-print look, the duchess wore powder pink Alexander McQueen, accessorized with a matching hat perched at a jaunty angle. (Could this girly color be nod to her "d..." perhaps?)

Prince William rode horseback in the ceremony while Prince Harry, Kate and the Duchess of Cornwall rode along in carriages. Look closely at Kate's ensemble, then click through the slideshow below to see the royals' celebrate. Could your birthday party top this one?

Kim Kardashian Clearly Misses Her Bikini Body

At 8-months pregnant, Kim Kardashian is looking stylish as ever -- but her figure has naturally changed. And there's no one who misses her pre-baby body more than she does, as evident through a series of #ThrowbackThursday photos Kim posted to Instagram yesterday (Friday), where she's seen in little more than swimsuits.

It appears that Kim especially misses a shoot she did a while back in Cabo, writing on one of the photo that she "can't wait to go back."

This isn't the first time Kim uses Instagram to remind us (and herself) of what she used to look like. Back in March, the reality star posted a photo from her "Dancing with the Stars" days, writing "#IWasSoooooSkinny."

We think you look gorgeous now too, Kimmy!

Trying To Win Back Some Favor

Chris Brown used to be prone to homophobic slurs. Now he's singing a different tune: one that's decidedly pro-gay.

Brown issued a series of tweets Friday that revealed he will release a new single on Monday in conjunction with what he calls his "Unity Campaign." The move feels unprecedented for a singer who's known for his physical and verbal assaults.

Brown wrote:

Brown, whose sixth album comes out July 16, has apologized before for various gay slurs, including a 2011 incident that found him lashing out at "gay" paparazzi and a 2010 Twitter rant in which he called B2K member Raz-B a "#homothug."

The singer's latest move serves as perhaps his most explicit attempt to win favor with the general public, a hard feat for someone who claims he "like[s] being the person everyone hates." We're willing to give Brown a shot here, but he'll have to practice what he preaches without exception for once.
