Electric Daisy Carnival Is Heading To London

Insomniac, the company behind large-scale American dance music festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival, has partnered with Cream to launch its first-ever event in the United Kingdom.

The event, also called Electric Daisy Carnival, will take place July 20 at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

In a press release furnished by Insomniac, CEO Pasquale Rotella says it seemed like a smart opportunity. "Bringing Insomniac's Electric Daisy Carnival experience across the Atlantic to London has been my dream for years and I couldn't ask for a better partner than Cream, who is a world-wide fixture in electronic dance music culture," Rotella said. "I'm confident that our collaboration will expose Insomniac's returning fans and those who have yet to visit our United States festivals an opportunity to unite this summer in London."

Cream, which is part of Live Nation's electronic division and is the team behind Creamfields, was similarly excited about the announcement. "We are really excited to be collaborating with Insomniac for what will be a spectacular event this summer," said James Barton, president of Electronic Music at Live Nation. "Electric Daisy Carnival is already an important and prominent international brand, and we believe it will thrive in the UK in 2013."

If Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park sounds familiar, it's because the venue played host to the Summer Olympics.

In addition to the event announcement, a partial line-up was released. Among the names included: Tiesto, Avicii, Steve Angello, Alesso, Hardwell, Madeon, Porter Robinson, Rusko and Caspa.

Early bird tickets will go on sale Tuesday, April 9 at 1 pm EST.

Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar are easily one of the most bizarre, yet highly-anticipated duos potentially coming to TV in the 2013-2014 season. And now, we have a glimpse at the actors in action.

The "Mork & Mindy" alum and "Buffy" herself star in "Crazy Ones," CBS's half-hour comedy pilot, produced by David E. Kelley, which centers on a father (Williams) and his daughter (Gellar), who are co-owners of an ad agency.

Hopefully, Williams' recent Twitter photo below is not indicative of how the father-daughter duo behaves on screen.

Williams also tweeted a photo of his dog on set with the show's logo in the background.

In addition to Williams and Gellar, the "Crazy Ones" pilot -- which is directed by "Modern Family's" Jason Winer -- co-stars James Wolk ("Political Animals"), Hamish Linklater ("The New Adventures of Old Christine") and Amanda Setton ("The Mindy Project").

Former child actor Danny Pintauro is engaged. Us Weekly reports that the former "Who's the Boss" star, who memorably played Judith Light's son Jonathan Bower through eight seasons of the hit '80s sitcom, is set to marry boyfriend of one year Wil Tabares. Tabares reportedly proposed to Pintauro on Wednesday while the couple was vacationing in Palm Springs, Calif.

"He made a video, and in the video held up the box [with the ring]," Pintauro, now 37, told the publication. "I looked up and he had it in his hand!"

Pintauro and Tabares both reside in Las Vegas, where Pintauro works as a restaurant manager, though it looks like their upcoming nuptials will bring them out of the state of Nevada, which does not allow for same-sex marriages. "Our plan is to move to California once Prop 8 is overturned," he said.

Kim Kardashian is bumpin' and proud!

Kardashian debuted her bare baby bump in an Instagram photo on Saturday. The 32-year-old beauty posed in a pair of tight black leggings and a white T-shirt in the double photo. In one frame she has her shirt down and in the other she has it rolled up to show her pregnant belly.

The reality star captioned the photo with a simple phrase: "Baby love."

"[She's] finally accepting her body and getting more comfortable," a source told Us Weekly. This is the first time Kardashian has showed her bare bump to the world, at six months along.

The big reveal comes after a smattering of headlines critiqued the E! star's changing body with stories about her incessant eating and her inflated weight gain. The fat-shaming of Kardashian has caused other celebrities to come to her defense.

“I think that women should support each other, especially through pregnancy,” mother-of-two Gwyneth Paltrow told ET Online. “It’s a difficult time and I think Kim Kardashian looks absolutely beautiful. And we're supposed to gain weight when pregnant -- that’s how God intended it.”

Model Helena Christensen penned an about letter about the issue, writing: "It is disgusting and despicable the way that certain media constantly harass the pregnant Kim Kardashian. It's enough that they persistently project a negative focus on women's physical shapes; but a public bullying and attacking of a pregnant woman because of her growing shape is just lower than low."

In a recent interview with E! News, Kardashian said she is loving her pregnant body now that her belly has "popped." Beau Kanye West also loves her curves and has helped her feel sexy throughout the process.

Snoop Lion: Homosexuality May Never Be 'Acceptable' In Rap Music

The artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg tells NME he doesn't think homosexuality will ever be fully acceptable in rap music.

The newly-christened Snoop Lion, who previously spoke out in support of same-sex marriage in an interview with HuffPost Entertainment, tells the publication that the "masculine" aspects of hip-hop music create unique challenges for gay musicians.

"It's like a football team," he said. "You can't be in a locker room full of motherf**king tough a** dudes, then all of a sudden say, 'Hey, man, I like you.' You know, that's going to be tough."

Of Frank Ocean, the Grammy-winning hip-hop artist who came out in a blog last year, the rapper noted, "He's a singer. It's acceptable in the singing world, but in the rap world I don't know if it will ever be acceptable because rap is so masculine." Still, Snoop's personal take on the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community is far more open-minded: "I don't have a problem with gay people. I got some gay homies."

There have, however, been a number of recent strides towards LGBT acceptance in the rap and hip-hop world. Last summer, Seattle-based hip-hop artist Macklemore paired up with Ryan Lewis for "Same Love," a song penned in support of same-sex marriage. The tender video for the song depicts a gay man's life, from an embattled childhood through a joyous wedding day.

It's already over for Lindsay Lohan and Avi Snow.

The troubled 26-year-old and her rocker beau have split, according to E! News. Sources confirm that the pair have decided to end their romance after just a few weeks of dating.

Although details of the breakup have not been released, Lohan hasn't been seen with the City of the Sun guitarist since she left for Brazil last week. She returned from her trip to South America on Tuesday, April 2, but did not reunite with Snow.

Still, just last week, Snow gushed about his then-girlfriend, telling E! that Lohan is "really awesome" and "a lot of fun."

The rehab-bound (or possibly jail-bound) star is set to appear on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on April 9 before jetting off to the Coachella Music Festival in South California. And after all that fun, Lohan will fulfill her court-ordered 90-day treatment program.

Angelina Jolie's kids are growing up so quickly.

On Friday in New York City, Jolie headed To FAO Schwarz with sons Knox and Pax, according to Us Weekly. Knox, 4, who is Jolie's youngest son, looked all grown up in jeans and a varsity jacket while walking beside his mom.

SCROLL FOR PHOTO

Pax, who is now 9 years old, also looked noticeably more mature in jeans, a vest and a pullover hat paired with goggles in the still-chilly NYC weather.

Despite their high-profile lifestyle, Jolie insists her family is just like any other.

''The great thing about having a bunch of kids is they just remind you that you're the person who takes them to go poop!'' the 37-year-old told British magazine Total Film in January. Adding, ''We have a very normal, very grounded home. And we're friends, and we have a laugh with our kids."

The Oscar-winning actress was in New York for the Women in the World Summit at Lincoln Center on April 4. Jolie pledged $200,000 to a charity set up by Malala Yousafzai, the 15-year-old activist who was shot in the head in Pakistan, for educating Pakistani girls. This sum followed the $50,000 she donated shortly after Yousafzai was first injured.

Jolie wore her engagement ring from Brad Pitt to Thursday's event, according to GossipCop. Last month, rumors spread that she and Pitt had already married after she was spotted wearing only a thin gold band while on a goodwill trip to Africa. The actress later denied any nuptials had taken place.

BRACKET: What Was The Best Bracket of March?

$

0

All the world is a bracket, and all the men and women and red pandas are merely seeded players, at least in March.

Ever since the NCAA Tournament did a favor to casual gamblers and people bored at their office jobs by expanding to 64 teams in 1985, the bracket has dominated the month of March in America.

In addition to being the catalyst for the proliferation of NCAA office pools and Joe Lunardi's pioneering work in the burgeoning field of bracketlogoly, the bracket format is applied to just about everything else, including Star Wars characters. At StarWars.com, the "This Is Madness: The Star Wars Character Tournament" has been going on paralel to the NCAA Tournament. In a shocking snub, the selection committee left Admiral Ackbar out of the field of 32. How does Jay Bilas feel about that?

While the bracket format has been applied to plenty of things in galaxies near and far, far away with no connection to college basketball -- beers, bands, animals and television couples, just to name a few -- the format may remain best suited for sports, past and present.

Over at Grantland, Rafe Bartholomew fashioned a bracket of the most hated college basketball players of the past 30 years. While the outcome may never have been in doubt, this bracket garnered the attention of one of its four No. 1 seeds, Christian Laettner.

We're pretty sure that Bobba Fett didn't tweet at the editors of StarWars.com. Of course, it remains unclear if Mandalorian armor comes equipped with wi-fi.

With the Final Four set to close out the competition that we all poorly diagrammed in our 2013 NCAA Tournament brackets, we've scoured the Internet for eight of the best brackets for the 2013 bracket bracket.

Here are eight of the most engaging brackets published around the web during the 2013 NCAA Tournament. Who survives and advances? Let us know in the comments if we missed any standout brackets.

Jeremy Irons Responds To Controversy After Gay Marriage Remarks

Actor Jeremy Irons sounded off on the controversy that ensued after his gay marriage remarks in a HuffPost Live interview earlier this week.

The 64-year-old stage and screen veteran posted a letter on his official website calling the media's implication that he is anti-gay "as far from the truth of me as to say that I believe the earth is flat."

He wrote:

"Perhaps rather too flippantly I flew the kite of an example of the legal quagmire that might occur if same sex marriage entered the statute books, by raising the possibility of future marriage between same sex family members for tax reasons, (incest being illegal primarily in order to prevent inbreeding, and therefore an irrelevance in non reproductive relationships)."

Calling the argument "mischievous," but "nonetheless valid," Irons added:

"I am clearly aware that many gay relationships are more long term, responsible and even healthier in their role of raising children, than their hetero equivalents, and that love often creates the desire to mark itself in a formal way, as Marriage would do. Clearly society should find a way of doing this."

You can read Irons' full letter here.

On April 3, Irons told HuffPost Live host Josh Zepps that he didn't have much of a strong opinion either way on same-sex questions, but wondered whether allowing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) couples to tie the knot would encourage interfamilial unions.

He asked, "Could a father not marry his son?"

Among those to criticize Irons' remarks was Stephen Colbert, who joked, "So, if gay marriage is legalized in England, Jeremy Irons' son Max: Get ready to make your father the happiest man alive."

Irish Actor Dies At 86

NEW YORK — The Irish actor Milo O'Shea, whose many roles on stage and screen included a friar in Franco Zeffirelli's "Romeo and Juliet," an evil scientist in "Barbarella" and a Supreme Court justice on "The West Wing," has died in New York City. He was 86.

Ireland's arts minister, Jimmy Deenihan, said in a statement announcing O'Shea's death on Tuesday that the Dublin-born actor would be remembered for "ground-breaking" roles, including a performance as Leopold Bloom in the 1967 film adaptation of "Ulysses."

O'Shea also acted on Broadway, playing a gay hairdresser in 1968's "Staircase." He was nominated for Tony Awards twice.

The public knew O'Shea best as a character actor. His bushy eyebrows and white hair made him a favorite of casting directors looking for priests. He played a drunken one on the TV show "Cheers," a pedophilic one in the 1997 film "The Butcher Boy," a charming one in the 1981 Broadway play "Mass Appeal," as well as the tragedy-enabling Friar Laurence in "Romeo and Juliet." He was a judge in the film "The Verdict."

His loony turn as the pleasure-obsessed scientist Durand Durand in the 1968 science fiction romp "Barbarella" inspired a British rock group to name its band after his character. Duran Duran also put him in a concert video.

O'Shea moved to the U.S. in the mid-1970s and was a longtime resident of New York.

Headed To 'Anchorman'

Another big-name Hollywood star has been added to the "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" billing.

Nicole Kidman reportedly has a secret cameo in the upcoming "Anchorman" sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and the Oscar-winning actress has already shot the bit in Atlanta.

THR also reported Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, who appeared in the original "Anchorman" as rival newscasters to Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy, will shoot small roles as well.

Rumors previously spread that Meryl Streep would be making a cameo appearance in "Anchorman 2," but Steve Carell shot those down. "When I did 'Hope Springs,' [Meryl] mentioned she was a fan and she said, 'Oh, I'd love to be in it,'" Carell, who plays Brick Tamland, told "Access Hollywood" in March. "But that's not gonna [happen] -- that's not a thing. She's actually busy -- she can't do it."

Alongside stars Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd and Carell, "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" will also feature cameos from Harrison Ford, Kristen Wiig and James Marsden.

Ford's "Anchorman" casting made headlines last month, but he isn't so sure his part will actually make the final cut. Producers Adam McKay and Judd Apatow asked Ford to take the role before they knew about his part in "Morning Glory," a 2010 film starring Rachel McAdams about a newbie television producer reviving a morning program.

"It'd be easy enough to cut out. I don't think it's critical," he told Entertainment Tonight.

The film is slated to hit theaters on Dec. 20.

Mike Tyson's wife Lakiha "Kiki" Spicer
is suing someone -- or multiple people -- for harassing her over the Internet, according to TMZ.

Spicer, 36, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles yesterday (April 5), claiming she's receiving emails that are threatening her life and her family's life. The thing is, it's a mystery who Spicer is suing.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Spicer says the defendant -- who can only be identified by an IP address -- is "extorting" and "making false allegations and accusations" against her.

And although she has not listed any specific examples of these threats, Spicer insists the repeated contact is causing her emotional distress and has hired famed attorney Mark Geragos to handle her case.

Drew Barrymore Says Women Can't Have It All

Actress Drew Barrymore insists that, even though it might look like she has it all, she has had to make career sacrifices now that she is a mom.

The 38-year-old star gave birth to her first child, daughter Olive, last September. But in Barrymore's opinion, women can't have it all.

“It sucks when you’ve worked really hard for certain things and you have to give them up because you know that you’re going to miss out on your child’s upbringing, or you realize that your relationship has suffered," she told People magazine at a conference on Thursday. For her, that has meant giving up directing projects in favor of spending more time with her baby.

“I was raised in that generation of 'women can have it all,' and I don’t think you can. I think some things fall off the table. The good news is, what does stay on the table becomes much more in focus and much more important," she said. Adding, “I feel guilty all the time — but you combat it by being a superhero. When you go out there in the world you have to remember, ‘I’m doing the best I can, I’m doing it for them, and I’m going to be there for them too. I’m just going to figure out the balance.’”

Barrymore, who appeared in her first movie at 4 years old, plans to focus on work again once her daughter gets older, according to UsWeekly.

Debates around whether women can "have it all" seem to be never-ending, and Barrymore's opinion echoes what Anne-Marie Slaughter, wrote about at length for The Atlantic last summer in her piece "Why Women Still Can't Have It All." Slaughter did identify reasons why it's impossible to have a successful career and family at the same time. "[W]e can 'have it all at the same time.' But not today, not with the way America's economy and society are currently structured," she wrote.

Likewise, Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg offers advice for working moms in her new book "Lean In," and she too admits that "having it all" is no simple feat.

"[H]aving it all. [P]erhaps the greatest trap ever set for women was the coining of this phrase," she writes in the book. "No matter what any of us has—and how grateful we are for what we have—no one has it all. Nor can they. The very concept of having it all flies in the face of the basic laws of economics and common sense. Being a working parent means making adjustments, compromises and sacrifices every day."

Sandberg says women should set priorities at home and at work. Instead of striving for perfection, women should strive for "sustainable and fulfilling."

Britney Spears Fans Mad After Jamie Lynn Tweets Justin Timberlake

Britney Spears fans got heated after the singer's little sister, Jamie Lynn, tweeted her most famous ex, Justin Timberlake.

On Thursday, the 22-year-old participated in the popular Twitter trend "Throwback Thursday," or #tbt. Jamie Lynn tweeted a photo of her, Britney and Justin in the backseat of a car. In the shot, Jamie Lynn is sitting on the lap of the former 'NSYNC member with Britney beside them.

She also included a message to the "Suit & Tie" singer, according to E! News: "@jtimberlake Weird hearing ur music as an Adult. Ha Not only do I appreciate it. I GET it. #jay #crymeariver #mirror."

Fans didn't respond well to Jamie Lynn's trip down Britney-Justin memory lane. They accused the young mom of betraying Brit.

Justin, who dated the "Turn It Up" singer for three years, allegedly wrote "Cry Me A River" about his 2002 breakup with Britney -- and featured a lookalike in the music video.

Jamie Lynn quickly backtracked once fans started defending Britney's, "I hope you all know that my tweets are only to support my sister @britneyspears - anything left over was to @jtimberlake #sisterlove #4eva," she tweeted, according to Zap2It.

Jamie Lynn has since deleted the tweets.

Although they were once pop music's royal couple, in a 2011 interview with Vanity Fair Timberlake said he and Britney had not spoken in 10 years. For him, the love never would have lasted.

“We were two birds of the same feather—small-town kids, doing the same thing. But then you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn’t make any sense," he said. "I won’t speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different person. I just don’t think we were normal; there was nothing normal about our existence. We spent way too much time being the biggest thing for teenyboppers.”

Lisa Steinberg: Just What the Doctor Prescribed

$

Tuesday nights you need to write yourself a prescription for hit FOX show The Mindy Project. Make sure you follow doctor's orders because this prescription is a guaranteed cure for whatever is ailing you! Mindy Kaling's at the helm of this charismatic show based around her vivacious character Dr. Mindy Lahiri, a single and boy-crazy gynecologist. Lahiri is juggling her career while trying to navigate single life, and for Mindy, nothing is an easy feat. Thankfully, she has a lot of misguided help and support from her friends/coworkers. What makes this not your average ensemble is that every character and actor showcases hefty comedy chops and chemistry. You don't get just one stand-out star, you get a handful. And that's what ultimately makes this show work and gel so well, everyone is a piece which creates a hilarious and well crafted comedy. With The Mindy Project you get endless hearty laughs and a lot of zany attempts at navigating life as we know it.

Kaling's team of funny and fearless friends make episodes of The Mindy Project a group effort of epic magnitude. Ed Weeks, Anna Camp, Chris Messina and Ike Barinholtz all help keep the laughs coming and bring endless support to Kaling's highly quotable and charismatic character. Weeks and Messina provide plenty of eye candy too, but the banter these boys bounce off one another as Dr. Jeremy Reed and Dr. Danny Castellano oozes with sarcasm and disdain; I love every minute of it. Barinholtz's offbeat, but good-natured Nurse Morgan could have a spinoff show of his own. His quirky and awkwardness come off as spunky and saucy, which makes him highly lovable. Anna Camp, as Mindy's best friend, plays well off of Kaling, and you can see the camaraderie and genuine affection these ladies have for one another. My only qualm is that Kaling doesn't spend enough time with Camp. She's only in a handful of episodes with small screen time, but the two make the most of their sparse scenes. Viewers are introduced to outside work female friends of Lahiri's, but they are not given a chance to get to know them on a deeper level. The show is mostly based around Lahiri's coworkers, so why are we introduced to other friends if they will not become a fuller focus or integrated more into the core dynamics? Regardless, Lahiri is flanked with friends ready and willing to do anything they can for her, and that type of consistent support is rare on television these days.

What's also wonderful about this cheeky program is that Kaling's oddball guide to dating, which includes mishaps, misunderstandings and mistakes hits home in real ways. Dating disasters occur, and while you may not want to look at Lahiri as a love guru, she certainly provides comedy, tragedy, and all the elements you look for in a dating wing woman. The Mindy Project is like the viewer gets a little bit of Sex and The City spliced with Scrubs. You get flirty and fun mixed with humor and calamity all at high-octane levels. Kaling even knows how to bring the heavy-hitting guest stars too, having locked in the likes of Seth Rogen, Common and Eva Amuri this season. Not to mention she has not left out some of her former The Office costars such as BJ Novak, Ellie Kemper, and Ed Helms. The power this program emanates is megawatt!

Another great tug of war stems from the push-and-pull chemistry between Lahiri and Castellano's characters. Often times when watching I want to yell at my television screen for Danny to man up and hook up with Mindy already! They have passion, heat, and and plenty of tension between them. With the amount of times that the two spend arguing with one another, it appears that may be just a matter of time before these two finally give in. Some of the best and long-lasting relationships start out with two people as friends and then friendship ends up blossoming into a full on hardcore romance. The first season of The Mindy Project is still in full effect, and you just never know what may happen.

Mindy brings a fresh new vibrancy to friendship, working relationships, and Tuesday night television. The show fits hand-in-hand with hit FOX comedy New Girl and batting cleanup for the evening. The Mindy Project shows women in their natural habitat and how they can be independent, vulnerable, and tenacious all in one package. Every day life may be hard to navigate, but with Mindy and her exceptional cast of characters and humor, your life will point you in a new direction. With The Mindy Project, you need to learn to let go, and expect the unexpected. You can get by with a little help from Mindy and her fabulous friends. They say that laughter is the best medicine, well, the cast of The Mindy Project are the doctors with the perfect prescription.

Lisa Rinna enjoyed some time in the sunshine and showed off her incredibly toned body while on vacation in Mexico.

The 49-year-old star flaunted her bikini body in a leopard print two-piece while holidaying with her family at the Villa del Palmar resort in Cancun, Mexico last week, according to X17 Online.

Rinna celebrated her 16th wedding anniversary with husband Harry Hamlin, E! News notes. The couple brought daughters Delilah and Amelia along on the anniversary/spring break trip for some family bonding.

E! News reports that the four hit the beach, swam with dolphins, snorkeled and even visited some Maya ruins.

What is her secret to a happy marriage? Bedroom activities might have something to do with it.

Last year, the former soap star helped author a sex book with sex counselor Ian Kerner called, "The Big, Fun, Sexy Sex Book." In 2008, Rinna first revealed she had lost her sex drive. The actress, who turns 50 in July, then went on a journey to get her libido back.

"I just know how important it is in keeping a marriage going," she told CNN in May 2012. "Without it, you're roommates, you don't value each other, and boom -- someone's going to have an affair and get divorced. It's not easy being married; it's hard after 20 years! If you don't have sex you just want to walk away half the time, so you really need to make the effort."
