What better way to move onward and upward after a breakup with a Kennedy than with a little cross-country road trip? It looks like Taylor Swift is doing just that as the singer announced Friday the details for her upcoming "Red" tour.

Kicking off March 13, 2013 in Omaha, Nebraska, the tour is set to reach 45 cities in 29 states and three provinces (don't worry Canada, there's enough T. Swift to go around) for a total of 58 shows. Tour stops include Miami, Detroit, Philadelphia, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

“I didn’t think I could be any more excited about my RED album, but then I start thinking about how I’m going to put the new show together for The RED Tour,” Swift is quoted as saying on her website. “I have so many ideas about how to really bring this music to life, and I can’t wait to share the new show with all my fans!”

The announcement was made on ABC News' "All Access Nashville with Katie Couric - A Special Edition of 20/20." The tour report tops of a big week for Taylor Swift. The singer is projected to sell 1 million copies of "Red" in the album's first week.

Natina Reed of the late 1990's girl band Blaque has passed away, according to MTV News.

The "Bring It On" star, 32, died early this morning (Oct. 27) after she was involved in a hit-and-run accident while crossing the street in Atlanta, Ga. She would have turned 33 tomorrow.

Reed was known as one-third of the Atlanta-based group Blaque, who had hits like "808," "Can't Get It Back" and "Bring It All To Me," which featured *NSYNC's J.C. Chasez. She starred in the 2000's "Bring It On" with bandmates, Brandi Williams and Shamari Fears-DeVoe. The rapper was a protégé of the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who was a member of TLC until 2002.

Fellow Blaque members Williams and Fears-DeVoe issued a joint statment today:

We are devastated by the loss of our group member, sister and friend Natina Reed. Because of the enormous support of Blaque fans and our love for each another, Blaque officially reunited this fall and we were in the process of working on a new album and a reality show. Natina continuously embodied the pioneering spirit of Blaque and her undeniable creativity touched the hearts of fans everywhere. Natina was a mother, sister, accomplished songwriter, artist and friend. We ask for your prayers at this time for Natina's family. She will forever be missed and her global influence eternally felt. We thank God for the experiences we shared.

Williams, took to Twitter to share her grief about Reed's death, writing, "Last night the world was changed forever, life will never be the same....she was my sister."

And Gabrielle Union, who also starred in "Bring It On," simply tweeted, "#RIP #SAD #BringItOn."

Reed was reportedly working on a solo rap album, as well as a new movie and reunion with Blaque.

She is survived by her 10-year-old son, Tren Brown, with rapper Kurupt.

Philip Rosenthal: My Friend, Alan Kirschenbaum

$

I don't really think it's appropriate to write about something so personal on the Internet, it certainly doesn't feel right, but nothing feels right today.

I lost a brother.

My friend Alan Kirschenbaum, who I met in 1974, when I was 14 and he was 13, was instant family. We laughed and ate and hung out, and played around with comedy, which he had in his blood. He inherited some of it from his wonderful, funny dad, the great Freddy Roman. (Freddy's joke: "When the family saw my act, they changed their name to Kirschenbaum). Freddy took us to the Catskills on some of his gigs -- and let us think we were helping "write" his routines with him backstage. I remember we ate whatever we wanted. Even though Alan was younger than me, he encouraged me to do comedy -- in high school, over the summer, and after college, when we were both struggling in New York. We took The Groundlings together, where Alan met the girl he would marry, the extraordinary Vicki Juditz, and together with the girl who would save me, we all ate and laughed together often.

Alan did what only my parents ever encouraged me to do -- to write. But he was more practical, and knowledgeable, and effective. Alan got a job writing for a sitcom based in New York. But he didn't forget about me, this struggling "comedic actor." One day in 1987, while we were busy struggling, he showed up at my apartment with a blue and silver metal box. "It's called a word processor," said Alan, "and we're gonna write a screenplay."

I agreed to do this for no other reason, certainly not any idea of how to write a screenplay, because Alan wanted to do it with me, and this meant we would have some laughs. Alan had learned about "structure," and we wrote about a fictional suburban detective who worked in the real town we grew up in, New City, NY. We named our detective after a guy who lived up the street from me because we liked the sound of his name, "Millard Shulman." the movie would be called Shulman and we wrote it for Alan Arkin, one of our heroes. We once had to stop working for the day because we watched the movie Big Trouble and could not continue. In this movie, Alan Arkin takes a drink of sardine liqueur, yes, and proceeds to do the world's greatest spit take. Go, take a look and tell me it's not. All I know is, Alan and I went back over this piece of video about forty times, crying with laughter, dissecting every second, hardly breathing, red faced, loving this the way only two idiots can. Two idiot brothers. We loved our little movie script and loved saying the name "Millard," and to this day, it's what we call each other.

We sold that script, my first sale ever, to HBO, for a gigantic fortune. Alan and I split $70,000. Nobody made the movie (we were told Alan Arkin doesn't "open" a movie) and we were sad. Then we heard somebody else read it and wanted to meet with us, and so we took that lunch with Jerry Lewis. And then that experience went into our anecdote bank, for withdrawals whenever we needed. Nobody made it with Jerry either, but Alan kept encouraging me to write -- he moved to Hollywood and started working on a sitcom with the great Ed Weinberger called "Dear John." When I got to LA a year later, with nothing, I slept on Alan's couch for a while, and one day Alan sat me down at a perfectly terrible seafood restaurant on Melrose and taught me the structure of sitcom -- took about five minutes, probably the most valuable five minutes of my life. Another friend, Oliver Goldstick, wrote a spec with me, Alan showed it to his agent, Adam Berkowitz, who became my agent, and Alan made sure that Ed hired Oliver and me on his very next show. Alan and Vicki and Monica and I all lived in the same building on Beachwood Drive, and even though we were now about 30, this new thing called Nintendo had come out and Alan and I would spend hours a day helping Zelda or Mario do some very important shit.

Over the next 5 years, we worked on "Baby Talk," "Man in the Family," a show Alan created called "Down the Shore" and "Coach." We laughed and ate a lot, including a holy Sunday ritual that started in 1990 -- every Sunday at 12:30, our comedy writer and comedian friends gather at Victor's, on Bronson Ave, and eat, and laugh, and complain. Wwe love everything about Victor's except the food and the service.

That's a joke of course. Our world is filled with them, thank God. And thank God for my friend, a master of them. A connoisseur of the one liner and the spit take. One more thing: he hosted my 40th birthday roast, at the Friar's Club here, he and everyone on the dais slaughtered me and this remains one of the most hilarious, shocking, X-rated highlights of my life. aA the end, as he intro'd me, he said, "I'm glad I get to say for I think the 26th year in a row, happy birthday to my friend." And then I insulted him as much as I could.

I'm not happy today, but I hope it's clear that I would literally not be here at all, I wouldn't have had the opportunity, the success, the money for this laptop without him, my dear and funny friend. I know he loved his friends, his wife, his parents, his sister, his incredible, beautiful and magnificently talented daughter Molly. He loved his work. He loved laughing and I loved being with him.

I love you Millard.

Love,

Millard

WATCH: Drake's Graduation Speech

Drake celebrated his recent high school graduation by picking up his diploma, and delivering a commencement speech at Toronto's Jarvis Collegiate Institute on Friday.

Though the artist formerly known as Aubrey Graham did not attend the school, he still had plenty of advice for the class of 2012.

"I reached a point in my life where I realized there aren’t material things that can give me the excitement that I’m looking for," said Drake, to an auditorium full of cheering graduates. "There’s a void in my life that I need to fill and I need to sit and think long and hard [about] what that was. It was the fact that I had left a gaping hole in my story of following through."

Drake, 26, dropped out of high school at age 15 to play Jimmy Brooks on 'Degrassi: The Next Generation.' The Toronto-born 'HYFR' singer spent the summer in the city to finish his remaining class credits. Last Friday, he took to Twitter and wrote, "As of tonight I have graduated high school!" which he said was, "One of the greatest feelings in my entire life."

But it was his commencement message about follow-through, which he calls "one of the most important life lessons," that struck the biggest chord with the crowd during his surprise address.

"There are many different ways of following through, and tonight, you followed through with a straight shot, and for that, you should give yourself a round of applause," said Drake.

“Sometimes it’s about going there, not getting there. ... Sometimes it’s the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination.”

The rapper-actor ended his speech by giving his mother, a retired teacher, a shout-out, saying that she "always wanted me to graduate."

Way to make us proud, Drake. Congratulations, Drizzy!

Madonna Booed At Concert Over Pro-Obama Comments

NEW ORLEANS — Madonna drew boos and triggered a walkout by several concertgoers after she touted President Barack Obama on her "MDNA Tour" in New Orleans.

The Material Girl asked during Saturday night's performance: "Who's registered to vote?" She added: "I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama." Drawing boos in touting Obama over Republican Mitt Romney, Madonna followed: "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for ... Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote."

Madonna is often outspoken. Some Colorado fans, mindful of a mass shooting there, complained she used a fake gun to shoot a masked gunman in a recent concert act in Denver. A Madonna concert in Paris in July drew ire when a video showed a swastika on a politician's forehead.

Kim Kardashian transformed into a mermaid for Saturday night's Halloween festivities, and said that if the "superstorm" hits the East Coast, her captain, Kanye West, will sail her to safety.

Kardashian hosted the Midori Green Halloween party in New York City on Saturday dressed as a mermaid inspired by 1984's "Splash," an ethereal character played by Daryl Hannah. The reality star wore a dress complete with a shell bralet and a sparkling green fishtail skirt. Although her outfit showed off her figure (surprise, surprise), the most jaw-dropping part of Kardashian's Halloween costume was her platinum blond hair.

SCROLL FOR PHOTOS

It took Kardashian two months to plan her mermaid Halloween costume and two hours to get ready, according to the Washington Post.

Mermaid Kardashian also told the newspaper that when Hurricane Sandy hits the East Coast, Kanye -- dressed as a "captain" in a striped shirt and red boat shoes -- could "sail" her to safety.

On her Celebuzz blog, Kardashian posted a photo of her and Kanye with the caption, "Me and my Captain! "I’m off to the Midori Halloween Party in NYC! So excited! What do you think of my costume? I’ve always been fascinated with mermaids!"

The 32-year-old took a breaking from filming "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami" to hit up the NYC Halloween bash with West and her best friend, Lala Vasquez.

This is the second year Kardashian has hosted the Midori event. Last year, she went as Poison Ivy complete with flaming red hair.

Paul McCartney Doesn't Blame Yoko For Beatles Breakup

Yoko Ono has long been targeted as a scapegoat to lay blame for the breakup of The Beatles, but Paul McCartney is saying she wasn't the cause.

"She certainly didn't break the group up, the group was breaking up," McCartney says in an interview with David Frost which is airing on Frost's TV show next month.

McCartney admits in the interview that it was hard to have Ono constantly around, but also credits her with much of Lennons success such as writing "Imagine," saying, "I don't think he would have done that without Yoko."

While Frost first interviewed McCartney in 1964, this most recent interview was one of the longest the Beatles great has ever given.

It is one of the first public outings for Barrymore, 37, who gave birth to her first child, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, on Sept. 26. The actress married art advisor Kopelman in June. Friends Aniston and Theroux aren't far behind: Theroux proposed to Aniston with this massive sparkler on his 41st birthday in August.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux rarely make appearances together, so when the newly-engaged couple decided to take Jen's huge engagement ring for a spin, we took a second glance. But our double take wasn't just for Jen's rock (or Justin's always-inquisitive eyebrows) -- it was her plunging dress that stole the show.

To attend the LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala on Saturday, the 43-year-old opted for a black silk gown with a wide-set neckline that practically reached her belly button. Thankfully, the plunging gown featured a sheer mesh overlay to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions (though we suspect there were more than a few close calls). Perhaps Jen's feeling sexier with her new man by her side?

This isn't the first time that Ms. Aniston's gone braless either -- it's kind of her thing. Chelsea Handler even physically pointed it out when the actress stopped by her show this month. Plus, it's not uncommon for celebs to wear red carpet dresses that require double-sided tape. But is this dress pushing the limits?

We think she looks glowing and happy, so we say: work it, Jen! What about you? Check out the photos from the event below and tell us what you think.

Taylor Swift Reveals Why She Titled Her Album 'Red'

$

0

Taylor Swift famously wears her heart on her sleeve when writing lyrics about loves past and present, and her new album "Red" offers a peek inside her roller-coaster romances.

Swift titled her album "Red" to symbolize the ups and down of love. "I called it that because of the tumultuous, crazy adventures in love and loss that it chronicles. . . . In retrospect, it all looks red," Swift said, according to People magazine.

The superstar singer may be just 22 years old, but Swift -- who just broke it off with high-schooler beau Conor Kennedy -- has certainly had her fair share of relationships to know a thing or two about trials of the heart.

Swift sings about "Blue like I've never known/ Dark gray all alone" in the album's namesake single. On the pop-tastic "I Knew You Were Trouble," she sings, "I knew you were trouble when you walked in/ So shame on me now." The wrenching "State of Grace" is probably Swift's most vulnerable, in which she croons, "So you were never a saint/ And I’ve loved in shades of wrong/ We learn to live with the pain/ Mosaic broken hearts."

Relationships are tricky for Swift, who is still trying to figure it all out. “I don’t know how to have a normal relationship because I try to act normal and love from a normal place and live a normal life, but there is sort of an abnormal magnifying glass, like telescope lens, on everything that happens between me and anybody else," she told Katie Couric, according to Entertainment Weekly. "So I don’t know how to do that correctly or anything. I don’t really know that much about love, it turns out.”

Bearing her heart on tracks helps the singer understand herself better. “The dust settles and I go to my own corner and actually figure out what I thought about [the relationship]," she told Couric. "Sometimes I don’t actually know how i feel about it until a write the song.”

Billboard reported that Swift's "Red" is set to debut atop the Billboard 200 with sales over 1 million in its first week. Industry sources believe "Red" will hit 1.1 million in sales, making her the only female to have two albums rocket over a million in a single week's frame.

On Friday, Swift announced that her next tour will kick off March 13 in Omaha, Neb. She will go on to play 29 states and three Canadian provinces.

Adam Levine Defends Christina Aguilera: 'F**k You. Come On, Guys. Grow Up.'

Adam Levine and fellow mentor Christina Aguilera are known to squabble on the set of "The Voice," but their relationship is like that of a brother and sister, and Levine is quick to defend Aguilera from critics who want to insult her.

Levine sat down for a press conference Q&A on Friday in New York City and had some pointed words for Aguilera's haters, who have criticized everything from her weight to her hairstyle.

“People shouldn’t say those kind of things, because, f—k you! Come on guys, grow up!” Levine said about Aguilera's critics, according to Wetpaint Entertainment. “It pisses me off, and of course I have her back, of course I defend her. It’s not nice to just have your bread and butter be trashing other people. That’s bullying.”

The Maroon 5 frontman doesn't think celebrities should be easy targets."The one thing about the culture right now, celebrity culture particularly, is people feel like they can just say nasty things about other people whether it's Christina or whether it's me," he said, according to People magazine. "She gets a lot and it pisses me off. Of course I have her back and of course I defend her."

Aguilera embraces her body, which has changed since motherhood. "I've always been one to make it very clear, love me or hate me, take it or leave it, this is who I am," she previously told People. "I embrace my body, and I embrace everything about myself. Coming full circle is a celebration of freedom and happiness because that's what [my new album] Lotus is representing. I'm embracing everything that I've grown to be and learned to be."

At the press conference, Levine dished on his relationship with Aguilera, denying that there was ever any bad blood between them.

“The fights that everyone thought we were having were fictional,” Levine said, according to GossipCop. “We never hated each other. We never were having some sort of secret battles that everyone thought we were having.” He adds, “There were silly bickering things like a brother and sister would do… it’s not nearly what everybody thought.”

'Argo' Takes The Number One Spot As 'Cloud Atlas' Flops

With a $100 million budget, "Cloud Atlas" was banking on box office success. If this weekend is any indication, it's going to be a slow process making that $100 million back. The movie, which stars Tom Hanks and Halley Berry, made $9.4 million this weekend across 2,008 theaters, bringing it to the number three spot.

It was beat by "Argo," which rose to number one for the first time since its release three weeks ago. The movie brought in $12.4 million for the weekend, for a total of $60.8 million since debut.

Adding insult to injury, the sci-fi adaptation was also beat by "Hotel Transylvania," which made $9.5 million in its fifth week. The movie has now earned $130.4 million which is record-breaking for Sony for animation movies.

Distributed by Warner Bros., "Cloud Atlas" has received mixed reviews. Directors Andy and Lana Wachowski and Tom Tywker oversaw the film's adaptation from David Michell's best-selling book. Mitchell himself reportedly thought the book would be unfilmable because of its broad fantasy aspects.

THR is reporting that Warner Bros. president was quick to point out that "Cloud Atlas" did see success in that it had the highest per screen average of any top 10 movie, with $4,681.

It was a quiet box office weekend across the board as three other movies saw small opening weekends as well. Horror movie "Silent Hill Revelation 3D" had an $8 million weekend, Halloween flick "Fun Size" brought in $4.1 million, and Gerard Butler's surfing drama "Chasing Mavericks" made a disappointing $2.2 million.

Last Halloween, Christina Aguilera and beau Matthew Rutler dressed up as pirates.

This year, the singer's costume was a tad more ambiguous, but nonetheless festive. The "Voice" coach sported a voluminous pink wig and white crown, while Rutler was her knight in shining armor.

Speaking of chivalry, Aguilera's "Voice" co-star Adam Levine came to her defense this weekend at a press conference, blasting those who have criticized Aguilera for her weight.

"The one thing about the culture right now, celebrity culture particularly, is people feel like they can just say nasty things about other people whether it's Christina or whether it's me," he said, according to People. "She gets a lot and it pisses me off. Of course I have her back and of course I defend her."
